I’m starting my penultimate unit for uni today (Media Law) and looking forward to this time travel event. Nothing terribly exciting happening in my world except that I bought a new stapler. Yep, a stapler.
Lol – I love getting new office supplies! What kind of stapler did you get? I recently got a heavy duty one, for when I have a large number of sheets (25 – 125(?)) to staple. I have a regular-size stapler downstairs by the printer, too, and, on my nightstand next to my bed (I work in bed), I have one of those mini-staplers (which works surprisingly well, but needs to be refilled more often than I’d like).
And, yes – I do realize that I sound like a real office supplies nerd, lol!
It staples 20 sheests at a time. I wanted a heavy duty one but it was too expensive. I had 67 pages of a study guide to staple yesterday!
If you’re interested in getting a heavy-duty stapler, check Amazon…they have some much less expensive ones there than the ones you can get at the store. (That’s where I got mine….I was surprised that I could find them that inexpensive!)
I want that under-the-water effect in our game (refrancing the under-the-water Simpson’s house during the various flashes) maybe an event of it’s own. I’d be fine with it as just a skin that doesn’t spill out over to the neighbor’s. (Maybe a Fishy Face Marge skin for another anniversary themed General Sherman episode?)🐟
Sphinx-Bart can be saved for an Ancient Egypt event (fingures crossed for it for next Easter/Passover maybe).🐰
fastfood restaurant could be an eventual fastfood/foodies event with Uncle Moes and ribwich. 🍔🌭
The Old shoe home, could be for a storytime event (various parodies the Simpsons played, like the Folk stories episode)📚
The Igloo (meh) unless that’s a skin you use when you want to use all other Simpson home skins (like on shuffle mode)✨

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any advice about a good tablet to buy? I’ve been tapping on an iPhone 6 for the past year or so. I used to tap on an iPad 2, but it became a paperweight when I got the 6 phone a couple years ago because the latter is much faster. Anyway, I’d like to tap again on a bigger screen, so that’s why I’m in the market for a new tablet. I’m looking for:
-good value
-at least 32 MB memory
-decent processing speed
-something… awesome?
I have no qualms about switching away from Apple, not that I have any problems with it. Any recommendations/what do you have?

Well if price isn’t an option go with an iPad Air 2 or the iPad Pro. Anything made by Samsung is great if you prefer an Android device. I personally like to have an IOS device and an Android. If The Simpsons Tapped Out goes down on ios or Android I like the option of a fallback option.

I retired my iPad 2 for an iPad mini4 last summer and I’m very happy with it. Dependable,fast and so much lighter than the first one! We are an Apple 🍎 family for sure,just got a 27″ desktop with all the bells and whistles yesterday! Cheers!

The new iPad is suppose to be slightly better than the Air2 I am currently using. At $329 for 32GB that is a good value. I would buy the 128GB version for $429. I have the wifi only version, buy it links to my iPhone so I can actually answer calls with the iPad. I don’t watch too much TV on it, so the “small” 9.7 screen size is fine with me.

Another option is to play on a Mac or PC. I alternate between my W10 desktop and my W10 Surface Pro 3 (a tablet/laptop hybrid). I use an Android emulator called Leapdroid, although that’s discontinued now (you can still find the downloads around, last version is 1.8.0.0). BlueStacks is another popular option. I tap with a mouse on my desktop, but with a touch-screen on my SP3. Obviously it depends on what you already have in your home

I recently retired my iPad2 and got the 12″ iPad Pro …it doesn’t disappoint…no more lagginess and I LOVE ❤️ the larger screen. Since you have an iPhone, seems more sensible to me to stick with an IOS tablet.

I use my ipad 4 from work to tap, and I love it for that, but, to be honest, if I had to pay for something with my own money, I doubt I’d go with an iPad, because it’s too expensive. But, I am spoiled by the big screen, so, if I had to give up my ipad, I don’t think I could go back to just using my 7″ Kindle Fire HD…. I’d probably have to buy myself some larger tablet, too.

Hi bwt, I was playing on ipad2 also, started having issues with memory, mostly because of TSTO. My Hubby saw an ad for the IPad Pro & thought it would be great to me to have for game more memory nice big screen & not too heavy. I love it! I know they are pricey, but we bought mine right when newer version was coming out & paid what a smaller IPad was going for. It’s fast and graphics are awesome.

I have a Sideshow Bob problem… I’ve been stuck on the final Flaw and Order task since January. I’ve caught him 4/5 times, but that elusive 5th catch just isn’t happening.
I’m at level 834 and have completed all of the level 60 questlines.
Has anyone else run into this? I’ve read the past thread which advised players to wait and that it would trigger at some point, but it seems like it should have done so already.
I also get that yellow pointer finger that points to Sideshow on the task bar every time I log in, as well as when I go back and forth to Krustyland.
Any ideas?

If you have room, add a friend at a low level. I have a friend who just started playing and I see and can tap on him there frequently.
I’m far from an expert, but I always had luck finding him in my “other Springfield.” Have you looked there?
BTW he appears in Other Springfield every 24 hours. I believe if you leave before catching him you lose some Righteousness.
I had the same problem…the last task for finding Bob wouldn’t kick in and the finger was always pointing at the task. This went on for 6 months. It finally cleared during a neighbor visit…they apparently were at the correct level and doing the Find Sideshow Bob quest. When I popped into their town, I got the message that Bob was spotted, I found him in their town and tapped him…the task finally cleared. 🤷♀️Weird…
Hey tappers! Long time no see….I think this is my first open thread post since 2016. I didn’t intend to drop off for so long, but life got in the way. A lot has happened in the last few months, most of it good: I turned 20, acted in my school play, sang in two concerts, and attended my senior prom. But the biggest thing is that I applied to university and received 9/9 offers! Now that June is approaching, I’m working hard to finish grade 12 while managing my health (which has improved significantly and is fairly steady atm) and will be deciding between my top 3 offers this week.
I haven’t had much time to tap (so I’ve missed several final prizes) and have experienced a bit of TSTO fatigue this year, but I am looking forward to the next event. And hopefully this summer I’ll finally get around to organizing my town a little…I’ve only been saying that for a year and a half 😉

I’ve been doing KEM farming with buying mystery boxes for XP. I got an update a week ago and now I get a lot of lard lads and not many billboards and channel 6 trucks. Anybody else experiencing this.
There are a few sequences (8?) that rotate. Seven of 3 billboards followed by 3 vans. One is 2 billboards followed by 2 vans. 3 have more Lard lads and less 30 donuts. A sequence begins with the fallout shelter and ends with 10 donuts. The net cost is 88,58, or 44 donuts. If you start with 110 donuts you should be able to complete any sequence.
I’m in farmium business for about 2 months now, noting each mystery box result since mid-april (25 so far).
In nearly 1/4 cases I get billboards (3) or vans (4), 1/8 donuts (2×30 1×10), 1/8 Lard Lads (2) and the rest is meh 🙂
It’s 7.3 donuts per percent bonus. I think that’s ok, the numbers will be more accurate with more boxes I buy or win.
Maybe you’re experiencing a statistical exception like throwing a coin and having the number 20 times in a row.
Seems like fewer news vans for sure…lots more Lard Lads, ponds and cars.
Nope – the pattern hasn’t changed (at least as of yesterday). If you buy 25 boxes, you will almost always get three billboards and three vans. (There’s one, rarer, short sequence (fewer than 25 boxes to go through) that earns two billboards and two vans, which is actually a better deal in terms of the net donut cost.) The only thing that changes is how many donuts you have to spend, net, to complete the 25-box sequence (again, assuming you don’t get that rarer short sequence).
Speaking of which, I’m overdue for buying another sequence…need to go do that before my next collection!
(I may have to stop with that after another few rounds, because I’m finally running out of places to hide those vans and billboards… Springfield Heights is full (love how much I could hide behind those huge buildings!) and I’m almost out of room in my futuristic area, the last place in regular Springfield that I have room, and enough tall buildings, to hide stuff. I really don’t want to end up with a town that has bunches of vans and billboards stacked up somewhere visible, but I may have to give into that at some point, if I want to keep going on increasing my multiplier in that most cost-efficient way.)

Just excited for another event, but got some training that will probably get in the way at the end of it. My town is crazy as I am around level 430 (KEM farming with over 200%) and still have a lot of land to unlock and I am just barely getting to the expensive buildings. I took a 2-3 year break so I have older decorations as well but I am missing quite a bit though because of the break.
I hope everybody’s memorial weekend, or Sunday is going good.
Have you gone through your inventory to make sure you have all bonus% items out? A few things that previously didn’t have a % now do.

I really, REALLY wish that the rivers could flow directly into the ocean without barriers. Like maybe the row with the present land blocking the rivers could be waves or something in a blue in-between the blue of the ocean and the blue of the rivers
It would also be cool to have a night view where all the buildings’ windows would light up as would any fires, streetlights, neon casino signs, or fireworks, etc.

Spend that cash. Turn on your XP colider and buy Bloodmobiles. You can get some serious doughnuts with that cash or start Kwik E Mart farming (if you have available land).

I get my donuts with the playdough factory and the monorail, 11per week and level up every 5-6 Days the way I’ve been playing. I have bought alot of white houses. I get a good return of XP and $. I was just wondering of the $ max. Now I’ll spend it if EA puts up some really cool stuff, as for land I got enough for now
What is your % bonus at? I’m at 601% and with XP collider turned on I could easily turn 86 million into 800+ donuts from just buying bloodmobiles. Roughly speaking I get around 10 donuts per million dollars.

Oh, defnitely! I’m close to 1,100 myself, and there are folks who have 2,000+ here (and even people in the forum who claim to have made it up to 5,000 (and shown pictures of it….if they’re not doctored)), although I don’t know where one would put all of the stuff you’d need to accumulate to get that high, unless you’re willing to give up having a nicely designed town.
I’m at a meager 114.35 % .I’ve had my collider in storage since the event it was used for. I never spent donuts on its use after that event but as I’ve heard ya got to spend money to make money, or in this case it’s donuts. I see that it costs less donuts for more days to have it active . How does buying bloodmobiles help ? I like buying white houses . Yeah any suggestions help , I’ll try just about anything to get more donuts except spend real $$$ which of course I’ve done
Buying blood mobiles or rat trap trucks give you a lot of xp, which in turn levels you up quicker and gets you donuts. Buying and selling kwick e marts does the same but takes four hours to build. Having a higher percentage helps you receive more xp from everything you do.
This is a long term game, i.e. years, so waiting four hours is nothing. Also, your first KEM is 220. So long term KEM farming is the way to go IMHO, combined with buying Mystery Boxes to up the %.
At just under $4,300,000,000 Frink pops up and explains you can’t have anymore because of some sciencey type limitations and your money turns red and you don’t earn more until you spend
It mystifies me why anyone would accumulate that level of cash, when cash can be turned into donuts so easily.

My furry baby, Hank is having problems so we go to new vet (had old one for 16 years, & loved him) kind of anxious about it.
Finally figured out what is wrong with jeep so going in to mechanic tomorrow, hopefully will get back same day. Thinking everyone here knows I’m living in mountains now so the jeep is a must have with windy dirt roads & it’s the power steering, so a tad important when driving mountain roads.

Yeah, we had it in the bag then gave you a few “here hit this for 6 balls” then sneaked it at the end. Been a great lazy sport watching weekend, lots of football (my team, Blackpool won promotion, but I didn’t go as there is a mass boycott against the owners), cricket, the giro d Italia was great, motor racing ( watched my first Indy 500 this evening), tennis, now watching a bit of baseball….. I still have several “standard” characters to buy, but my orders to buy them in is whatever order they’re offered at a discount in. 😉
After getting Nick and the twins I would (and have) get the pet shop. It is fairly inexpensive, comes with a full functioning character, others will use the building, and then Jub-jub and Selma have a tandem 6 hour task together. Out of the other characters I then would either wait to see if there will be a sale on them or if any of them could be used in an upcoming event. (Or just pick them up when ever in the order of whoever strikes your fancy.) Out of the standalone buildings I don’t have any of them yet but I would probably first get the Observatory because it is small and will be used by multiple characters.
My two favorites are the Clampitheater (just cuz it’s so cool) and Sprawlmart (Agnes has a visual job as a greeter that is fun).
As for the characters, I only have Greta and the Don, and neither are “all that”. I would probably get Kashmir…she has an interesting building and I expect her tasks would be…unusual.
For me, I try to grab what is offered at a discount or has rebates. However, when not grabbing bargains, I try to focus on characters that have family members in my game. It bothered me for a long time to have Millhouse, but not his mom and dad. Once I have all family members together, I plan to go for my favorite characters that I don’t have, like Otto or Herb.
Does that mean you got Chester(?) and his shed before Otto and his bus??

Hi there, everyone! Amazing news… I GOT A NEW JOB!!! I’ve been working as a retail makeup artist since 2001 and I needed a change so bad. Retail hours are grueling and only get worse as we move towards the holidays. Not to mention the stress and pressure to produce. At my new job I’ll be working at a Med Spa managing inventory/ordering and doing reception. A big change from standing on my feet for 9 hours a day to mostly sitting at a desk and using a computer. I have to admit I’m pretty lousy on computers but I’m confidant I can learn the scheduling program and I’ve been practicing Excel. The best part is I’ll have off EVERY Sunday! And two Saturdays! And the two Saturdays I do work will be 9-1! No nights or Holidays! Never again to I have to turn down an invite to a 4th of July BBQ because I’m stuck at work! Aaahhhh I’m so excited! I start a week from Wednesday. 😁
As for the game, I’m excited for the next update because I also got a new ipad, much faster and a much bigger screen! I spent way too much time today scrolling through my Springfield studying every detail and I loved it.
Now I might take a nap because I’m a little under the weather today.

One thing I like to do on mine sometimes is, when I’m sending a character to go do a task, zoom all the way in and follow him/her as he/she walks through town to get to the task area. It’s really neat getting a more “eye-level” view (and funny to see the motley assortment of characters we pass on the way).

Congrats! The new job sounds really good, hope you’ll enjoy it in the long run. Anything has to be better than retail – I tried that for a spell to earn money for college, but didn’t last very long. And that was during a time when they still had mandatory closing hours ( 6 pm on weekdays, 1 pm on Saturdays, closed on Sundays). I guess I’m a wimp 😉

@nellypuk, the only animation I see on the work bench is the hose running. Are you seeing more?
In general, I need some advice about redesigning. I’ve got all the land available and a lot of designed areas, plus other aress where buildings and such just got dumped. While the nuke option is attractive for starting a clean slate, I don’t want go lose those areas I’ve already spent time to get just right.
What I’m thinking is clearing out as many chunks of land as possible, throwing that stuff into storage. Then selecting as big a group of what I want to save and moving it to the cleared land. Eventually there would just be these “groups” amid otherwise empty land, and I could start the actual redesigning.
I’d like to hear from anyone else who’s been in this situation, wanting to majorly redesign their layout, but not wanting to lose already carefully assembled areas. (Its too bad that we can’t select several items and label them as a group, and then store it so it all stays together as a single chunk.)

I have never done a full nuke but I know what you mean, there are too many areas I really like but I could really do with a reordering. At least with the select area tool it’s easier to move big chunks.
I have moved all my SH stuff to new areas several times (I use SH for events, then clear it out to new areas when the next event comes). I find that moving one building (and surrounding stuff) at a time works best…highlight, drag and place. I would never nuke…all income stops until you are back in place, and it seems like reorganizing everything would take quite a while.
I only did the full nuke once, pre-level 100. The disadvantage (besides lack of income) became immediately apparent when the next event started and all the characters couldn’t do their take without with right locations, which then need a storage search (and why can’t everything be in alphabetical order… grr, sorry, usual storage system griping…)

So yes, a lot of sport was watched this weekend. Again. ☺️ But I also used the time to research family tree stuff… I’m trying to find my grandmother’s birth certificate but it is complicated by the fact that although she was Irish she was born in India in 1890 and not all the records are available online or even exist! If I can track her birth certificate than I can get an Irish passport and then I don’t need to apply for visas to visit my siblings in Australia and Canada! My mother was able to get an Irish passport through my great-grandfather but that won’t work for me… It has been fun exploring all the family history though 😄

Unlike you, I had a kind of stressful weekend – my hubby dragged me along on a hiking trip in the Schwarzwald during the four day weekend we had over here. And I really don’t like exercise… Took my phone along but was mostly to exhausted to play TSTO, or anything really. Came back on Saturday evening, plopped down on my bed and didn’t get up until Monday morning. But hubby insisted on a test run for his camping gear he plans on taking to Sweden this summer, meaning he was carrying a lot of stuff around. I took the bare necessities – how many changes of underwear do you really need for three days?? 😉 And no, I am not spending my summer holidays hiking through Sweden, I am looking forward to having a very quiet summer home alone.

Actually, I really wish that everything was sellable, even if only for a little bit. Non-TSTO update: Quick message, since in have lots to do today…I’m very excited that I’ll be seeing my favorite aunt today, who flew into N.Y. yesterday from California and is coming up to my area (in Massachusetts) with my dad for a visit today! She and I both think of each other as the sisters we never had (she’s only 8 or 9 years older than I am), and, even though I haven’t been able to see her very often during my life, we’re still very close.
TSTO update: Not much to update, game-wise…got the mall, but passed again on the two mansions. I can afford them, but I just don’t want them enough to give them space in my town.
I’ve reached the 6,700 item warning, but, annoyingly, I keep dipping under it and then back over it when I’m farming, so I’ve had to deal with that annoying popup several times a day, everyday, for the past week or so. However, as I continue to level up my multiplier via billboards and news vans from mystery boxes, I’ll fairly soon reach the limit without the farmed Kwik-E-Marts and won’t have to deal with getting that message anymore.
And (going back to a non-TSTO message), to my U.S. TSTO friends, happy Memorial Day weekend, and good thoughts to those “dear departeds” whom we remember on Monday.

Rough week at the plate this past Monday’s softball game. Went 1 for 4, with a single and three ground outs to the 3rd baseman. My season average is now down to a paltry .455 (paltry by softball standards, best of all time by baseball standards) 5 for 11, with 4 singles and a double. Though in my defense, it was a chilly May Toronto evening. Hopefully as the weather warms up, so to will my bat.

If there wasn’t a cap at 2 billion REV, I’d probably be showing 2.5 billion REV right now.
How have you got to 2bn in SH? I have 1.6bn but struggle to increase it. Do you just craft loads of items that increase this?
Yup. You don’t want to know how many Fancy Trees, Fancy Gold Trees, Fancy Fountains, Jet Skis, Polo Fields, etc. I have.
And I didn’t purchase any premium items that give a boost, like Gone Fission boat, Opera house, etc. Just good ol’ fashion grinding and crafting of useless inventory items.

Just for fun I tried to work out if the tennis courts are really the best – but they are not, if you take into account the material you need to build up the number of statues necessary. For 200 statues you get 3 000 000 REV by buying the tennis courts, but you need 400 tech and 400 pills to make those statues. If you exchange them directly for Classy Fountains & Helicopters you get:
900 000 REV *4 = 3 600 000 REV – 600 000 REV more.
If you take it a step further: you need 800 furniture, 1200 latte and 400 yoga mats to make 400 tech and 400 pills; if you again exchange them directly you get:
300 000 REV *4 + 600 000 REV * 8 = 6 000 000 REV – double the amount you get if you turn them into statues first.
This doesn’t even take into account the time you need to build those statues, just the raw material. Looks like you’re better off if you keep building the stuff that needs no material to build (furniture, latte, yoga mats), and turn that into REV.
Yeah, I usually just stick to Fancy Trees, Fancy Gold Trees, Jet Skis, Fancy Fountains, and Polo Fields. I have over 500 of some items.

Nothing unusual, I think he was partying at Stus disco at the time? But I am on an iPad and I do find my game will sometimes randomly animate buildings or decorations that aren’t being used.
As others have said I suspect this means the bench will be used during the upcoming event.
