Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Lisa, Homer & Moe will start this for you with dialogue. This will be followed by a 4hr task for Homer.

Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Pirate Era.
Eye Patches
So the ability to earn Papyri is now gone. Your counter prize track for the Pirate Era has reset to zero because you have zero Eye Patches. So forget about those Papyri…time to cover up with those Eye Patches!
You’ll earn Eye Patches very similar to how you earned Papyri during the Egyptian Era…
-Clearing the new Tappables (Rats)
– Clearing Rats in your Neighbor’s towns
-Tasks at Mom and Pops Hardware (earn shovels and eye patches)
-Dig Site, each Square you earn will earn Eye Patches (like it earned currency for the last 2 eras), output will vary depending on your Panini Press Level.
-Daily Challenges
-Waterslide (if you’ve purchased it)
You’ll also earn Eye Patches from the questline…don’t ignore the questline. You earn a ton of Event currency from it, it’s important for your prize track total..
New Pirate Era Tappables
So gross…
The New Pirate Era Tappable is Rats. They still spawn, 1 every 3 minutes. The Max in your town at once 30, Bank 50. So your town and bank is full every 4hrs….

Excavation Site Prizes
Yes, you’ll still be collecting SHOVELS for the Pirate Era Dig site. You earn shovels by sending characters on tasks at Mom and Pops Hardware, by Daily Challenges and by buying them (don’t buy them).
You’ll need 48 
to earn all of the Pirate Era Excavation Prize Track…and it works exactly like it did for each of the previous Eras.
The same characters can earn shovels. Blackbeard earns

Remember it’s a running total…and those little icons are the hidden treasures you find at the excavation site.

Egyptian Prizes…
If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “EGYPTIAN” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)
Crafting
Crafting remains, as it was during the 2 previous Eras, for the Pirate Era.
Specimen for crafting are earned via the prize track, Daily Challenges, tapping rats, Excavation site and the Historical Society (if you purchased it)
New Items in the Store..
Blackbeard (with Ghost Pirate Airship)- 100 Donuts if you already have Airship, 250 donuts, with 75 donut rebate..net 175 Donuts if you don’t have Airship.
Pirate Prison- 60 dounts
Returning
Manual Power Generator w/ Slave Labor Willie- $2,000
Treasure Chest- 85 Donuts
Chest of Sacred Artifacts- 55 Donuts
Pirate Bundle- 60 Donuts
If you already have the shipwreck you can purchase additional Stacks of beer (35 donuts), Stocks (10 donuts) and Explosives (15 donuts)

The full pirate ghostship questline didn’t/doesn’t show up after purchasing (I completed things for the ttt event stuff). I noticed the Sea Captain has a ghost deck task listed as quest, but I can access it. Any suggestions?

Ever since part 3 has started my game keeps reinstalling anyone else having this problem?

I love dinosaurs, ancient Egypt and pirates, so this event should have been right up my alley. But these prize tracks have been, well, polly-wolly crappy lately.
I find that some of the pirate items seem to be slightly better than some of the Egypt ones and that there are characters to offer in this new era, I hope the Sexy Pirate is voiced and I don’t know if the Wisecracking Parrot is an NPC or character and also voiced. I also find that there is no reason to be disappointed that Blackbeard comes with the Ghost Pirate Airship for a net of 175 donuts since the Airship cost 250 donuts alone when it was first released.

Not really a pirate person and don’t seed much to get excited about, but, that’s the life of an Addict….we keep tapping, regardless! 😉
One question though…do the craftable chests earn income like the one we get from the excavation prize track? I know there’s a post coming that will probably cover this, but has anyone determined that yet?
They’re the same, but I didn’t see that the chest earned income from the prize track either.
D’oh! I’m an idiot…. I had it in front of Moe’s cave and I thought that I was tapping on the chest when in saw the income info pop up, but, apparently, it was registering as a tap on the cave, which is what the income info was really for. *sigh*

Cemetery plot says “Earns Extra Shovels”. How does that work exactly? Gravedigger Billy isn’t listed in the Mom & Pop jobs list.
I’m half thinking about getting him – extra shovels might tip me over the edge.
He has a task, it doesn’t show until you buy it.
Found some inspiration on the EA forum for pirate designs. Have started mine and now I’m hooked😊. In other non related news, it’s national kissing day today, so my camels are all kissing. They look sooo cute. My kiss goes to the taxman who can kiss my a***e😂X
FYI your Excavation site Prize list is out of order. You have Grog Barrel and Pirate Booty reversed Should be
