Had a funny but also slightly awkward moment at work this morning whilst listening to music I was listening to a new rock compilation I’d bought and la gadda da vida came on and the first thing that came to mind was reverend lovejoys voice “wait a minute this sounds like rock and/or roll“ which made me laugh to myself and get a few strange looks from people as well.

I have some what enjoyed looking for fans…. they seem more like sightseeer then fans…. they are no where where You think they are going to be half the time.. in the towns that i go into…. it looks like they are talking to someone.. or looking at a building… I’m getting to know my neighbors towns as well as my own… ~chuckling~
So far… i have enjoy this event…. !!!
Moving the stages into the same area will help. I have put the Simpson House, Moe’s an Kwk-E-Mart next to the Rock Stage. The fans gather around them.
I have to admit, I was really concerned I would not get all the prizes in this act as I was way behind at the beginning. But, today, I got the last prize in both my B and C game (I got it in my A game on Thursday I believe.)
This is one event where it truly was slow going at first, especially if you only had a few of the characters to perform, but got better as it went along. I am pretty sure I got a daily challenge EVERY day where I earned cuffs, which helped out tremendously.
While the targets will be much higher in Acts 2 and 3, the overall ease will be the same when you take into account the number of characters that can jam, the number of stages available, and the payout from fans. So don’t be intimidated by the numbers. Even if you’re behind the calendar initiallyt, I’m sure you’ll catch up and pass the calendar if you play the same way.
Happy Sunday fellow addicts! We are mostly settled in Hawaii, and we take the boy to high school today. He will be boarding five days a week, home on the weekends, and I can’t believe my baby is starting high school and won’t be home during the week! I’m excited for him, though.
Game-wise, the time zone change has made dropping lawyers in neighbors’ towns at times they might see them a bit difficult since I don’t know what time zone many of you are in. I’ve been trying to pay attention to the kinds of tasks your characters are doing, whether you have been finding the lawyers I’m leaving you, etc. I’m an idiot with Greenwich Mean Time, and so I can simply tell you that Hawaii is currently three hours behind the US West Coast and six hours behind the East Coast (and 12 hours behind MAB 😉). Hawaii does not observe Daylight Savings, and so once Daylight Savings ends, the difference will decrease by an hour. Like others, I am now going to give some lawyers to neighbors who need a little extra help finishing the prize track and save others to help both myself and my neighbors get a faster start on the next part of the event. I picked up Bleeding Gums Murphy today and am enjoying his questline.
My tallest redwood task vanished with the Homer-pa-looza. Not a big deal, but I was on the last level. The tree is still in my Springfield. How do tasks disappear and how do they come back.
I’m enjoying the event. Hoping for new craftables in phase 2. Trying to gather enough donuts for Otto.
The disappearance of the redwood task, disappearance of the money mountain task, inability to put roads on the new land were amongst some of the most notable glitches with the release of the Homerpalooza update. However, just a couple days ago, EA released a patch update that fixed all 3 of these issues. Check your App store for the update.

You still have a daily challenge tomorrow(usually at least 1000 cuffs), you should be fine for the final prize. 😊
The payout for daily challenges is either 1000 or 1500 cuffs (event currency) so you’re guaranteed 1000 and you’re best bet is to try swapping for 1500.
I had a decent weekend. I have a lot of doughnuts thanks to farming and boughnuts from the event. I almost went for the 100 doughnut discount on the Tailgate decoration but I looked into it and it wasn’t worth a 4% bonus. I did try the mystery box and got Rockstar Maggie. I was really pleased because I wanted that. Today I played the “Find Maggie” and my game froze on me. Luckily enough I reset my device and the game ran normally again. Right now I storing up my doughnuts for Act 2.
Since I finished the prize track, I have been hoarding lawyers in hopes of using them for the next round. Anyone know if they will be part of the next round? If not, I’ll go drop them in the towns of neighbors who need a little bit to finish.
Lawyers will not be replaced.
You can save lawyers for Act 2. However, if you comfortably completed Act 1, it would behoove you to be a good neighbour and continue to send some lawyers to those neighbours struggling to complete Act 1.
That’s what I use those lawyers for.

Just want to let my neighbors know that, right now, I’m only dropping off lawyers to friends who haven’t yet made it to the final prize for the act, but do appear to be trying to get there. Hopefully, those of you who have already finished the act will understand, and not mind that you’re not getting lawyers from me right now…
Will skip the personal updates this week, except to say that, physically it hadn’t been great, but, compared to what lots of other folks are going through, definitely not worthy of vociferous complaining.
As for my TSTO update, not much to say there, either…enjoying the event, finished the act several days ago, and, with vacation coming up towards the end of the event, hoping it remains relatively easy. Oh, and I think I’m addicted to buying those crowds…I know it’s unlikely, but would be thrilled if they added more variations of them to expand the crafting track (which I seem to be relatively racing through).
Phew! I’m almost trough with act 1, starting 5 days too late – my last week of vacation divided in 4h-sections 🙂 812 cuffs yet to win, in exact 30 min.
The Collider – bought as a returning item (mystery box) has no questline though the 12h task requires a – eh – task, the 16h task requires the collider (building).
Do I need the collider building to kick off the Collider’s quest line?
I also have Colossun/Death Mountain, the 4h task is working. But… in my opinion the character is not complete.
Also got him in the mysterybox but no quest so i cant use the 12h task, i have the building and the 16h task so that doesn’t help (also have Death mountan and dr.colossus)
I have a question about the event, do we need to do the quest line for bleeding gums Murphy and for Nic or can we ignore those till after the event ?

Anyone else notice that final horizontal strip of land at the bottom of the game area does not allow for roads? Wonder if that is the death knell for future updates or land increases!
This was a glitch that was mentioned in numerous comments and several posts when they released the Homerpalooza event. However, they just had a patch update a couple days ago that fixed this along with other issues that occured with this event.

I find it ironic that a music event has the original background music.
I like the pace of this event, not too much to do ,the no need to clear out neighbor visits and the early dounts round.
I dislike how hard it is to spot party goers in neighbor’s towns,
the craftables are kinda lame (to me),
and lawyers are hard to come by (I fall short of repassing them out)
and don’t know if I have cleared all out.
I look forward most to the pimp/manager skin for Cletus and his monster truck during the rap phase. Does anyone know what episode that skin is from? I’d like to watch it this sabbath.😃
If it helps, I find that, when I drop a lawyer of in a friendville, there’s usually a fan nearby. So try dropping lawyer first, then looking for a fan, rather than the other way around.
I drop the lawyers and don’t look for the fans. Too small for me and I don’t need the extra cuffs.
I don’t look for the fans for the cuffs…i’ve been using them as a way to track whom I’ve visited and how many lawyers I dropped off. But, yeah, I probably wouldn’t bother, otherwise (unless I felt like it).
Keep in mind that my comment was originally in response to someone who was lamenting how difficult it was to find fans in neighbors’ towns, so I was really just mostly offering a tip for that poster.
The craftables mostly are meh EXCEPT for the fact that we now get crowds!!!! Now the buildings which really should have people surrounding them can finally get them full-time.
Why have Disco Stu’s with illuminating spotlights if you can’t have a crowd queuing to get in? Wouldn’t Maggie sacrificing a sheep be soooo much creeper if there were crowds watching her do it? Boobarella is burning at the stake – why isn’t there an angry mob? The sporting arenas could all use crowds outside, and so could the convention center. Open Air Stage, Opera stage, etc… would all benefit from some audience.
The rest of the craftables… meh. But I am crafting a LOT of crowds of both types.
It would be very funny to send those angry crowds after Gill Gunderson whenever he pops up with another “deal”. 😈
A boss skin for Cletus? Whoot! In my Springfield Cletus has a whole compound for his moonshine operation including dice den, monorail and private airstrip distribution system and lookout towers. He’d be as rich as Burns and Jay G. if he didn’t have to bribe Wiggum, Quimby and Fat Tony and have so many mouths to feed. Still he deserves something for his trouble…

I was travelling for most of the Rock Act, so I’m only just about to get Peter (1000 Cuffs to go! 😄), so I’m really enjoying the “early bonuts” between earning Nick & Peter!
I’m…almost completely through the Crafting prize track…??!!!!? I really hope more items are added when Hip Hop & Pop trigger, otherwise this’ll be the most boring Event Crafting since I started playing!
Which reminds me…didn’t we ‘craft’ the spotlights during the Casino Event too? I’m really glad they’re back – I stockpiled as many as I could back then, but it ended up not being enough of the multicoloured ones (the steady-state coloured ones, not the cycling ones). I found so many places to use them in my town (though most got put away recently, in preparation of changing parts of my SF around)!
Today’s my nephew’s bday party at the beach – he’s gonna be 12! Gotta make sure I tappa-tappa-tappa on the way there, so I don’t lose too much game time! 😉 😁😂😁

Mine are usually around 1,000, also…I was refering to 3 days worth (today, Monday and Tuesday) of tasks, which would bring in around 3,000 to 3500. So your payouts are probably right in line with everybody 😁.
Haha yeah, I was thinking back to my night owl days of staying up until the acts changeover. Too old for that now…well, too tired anyway. 😴

So there is an upside of living in Europe – the act changeover is at 9 or 10 AM around here, you can easily be up early enough to experience it. 🙂

Happy Sunday everyone. So fat I am liking this event. I saw the Tailgate is back for 100 donuts. Any thoughts? It seems ok, and I can get those pretty easy with my KEM farming. However, there is some wisdom in saving up for the other acts, and Halloween.
Does anyone play Fallout Shelter on their devices? My brother in law got me hooked to it.
If you are a KEM farmer, go for it.
I skipped it the first time around but with more stages likely coming, I picked it up as a way to fill out my whole music festival area. I’m happy with it.

As Miss Alissa has already indicated in a reply to me, Jet Bikes are a better Bonus return for your donuts.
But, if you like what the Tailgate provides in visuals, it will most likely never be less expensive.
A lot of Characters are yet to come in this Event. And Halloween usually has interesting items that cost donuts.

Those tailgates fanstend to wonder around Springfield. If they do, store and replace the tailgate and the fans should reappear, but… they might escape again.
Huh? The fans that come with the tailgate decoration are part of the decoration and don’t move. The fans that come with the crowds are also non-moving decorations. The only fans that wander are the event fans, who do a combination of wandering and congregating around the stages. In your own town, they are fairly easily find, using either the bonuts “task” in the task book, or, if you haven’t gotten that yet, using the Do It button in the crafting track.
I’ve seen what he’s talking about. Sometimes the tailgate fans show up elsewhere, and I was super confused the first time it happened because I couldn’t remember where the guy came from. He was just standing there in the street, not moving, and would pump his fist when I tapped him. It hasn’t happened lately, though.
I think that was fixed with a past update. Not sure though, I only got the Tailgate during this event.
I suppose EA fixed it. The tapball fans keep partying 🎉 at the tail gate now.
Wow – that’s bizarre! I’ve never seen that happen in my town, but now I’ll keep an eye out for it.
Those tailgate fans escaped thrice in from their party in my Springfield. I apprehended one of them in Springfield Heights wandering around near The Golden House. The party itself was completely deserted.

I didn’t get the tailgate when it was originally offered (during tap ball?) – I got it quite a long time later. Maybe they’d fixed that problem by then.

I thought when the event started I would never finish the first act, but with some little effort I finished yesterday.
I think I am the only person here who didn’t purchased BGM. I am savong my donuts for Leon Kompowski.
I have started KEM farming this week, but I am having a hard time finding the sweet spot.
How can I increase my bonus % the fastest.
The beach hideaways seem like a sweet deal.
Or Jet bikes.
Beach hideaway is good if you get the all the additions. Next go for Mystery Boxes (6 donuts). You will get vans and billboards and Lard Lads. In the long run the percent increase is <9 donuts per 1%.
Do lard lads give bonus%?
No, they don’t give bonus %, directly. However, they do help earn currency that allows you to farm KEM, that earn donuts that allow you to buy Mystery Boxes, that earn billboards and vans that earn bonus %. So in a roundabout way, yes, they help indirectly earn bonus %.
Ok.
And what is the smartest thing to do.
Buy a mystery box every 6 donuts or wait untill I can buy 10 of them.
Personally, I wait until I have 100 extra donuts to spare and then buy 25 to 30 of them (depending on how many times I win 10 free donuts and 30 free donuts).
For me, that means I wait until I get to 600 donuts and then keep buying Mystery Boxes until I’m at or just below 500 donuts. I’ll usually win 10 free donuts 3 or 4 times and 30 free donuts once or twice, and within those 30 Mystery Boxes, I’ll get a significant number of billboards and vans to raise my percentage anywhere from 14 to 20%.
With one exception, the patterns are based on sets of 25 mystery boxes, which (with that one exception) will always yield three billboards and three news vans, for a cost of a net of between 58 and 88 donuts.
Anyone having an issue with lawyers not showing up in friends towns when given or in theirs when they should be received? I have noticed this in the last 24 hours. Cheers!
Quick suggestion, if you’re close but don’t think you’ll be able to finish the prize track leave your user name, hours you’ll be playing and time zone. Maybe some of your neighbors will see it and be able to send some lawyers your way. Good luck!

So after being excited to have Addicts Live! back on the air, I missed it! Was visiting the Wrinklies instead so will have to catch up with it during the week – I’m sure it was great fun as always 😄 But I did have a nice visit with the Wrinklies and heard about the cruise they have booked for next year which leaves from Durban, South Africa and ends in Venice, Italy going via the Suez Canal and visits the Seychelles, Reunion, Mauritius, Jordan, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro and a couple of other places. So we had a little more light rain last night with a slight chance of more on Tuesday and a slightly stronger chance towards the end of the week. I might look like an idiot holding my thumbs while doing my rain dance but I’m not going to stop! 😊😊😊

A fringe benefit to this event is that my leprechauns haven’t had this much of a workout in ages! While I’m looking for lawyers I keep bumping into them and then it’s time for them to run!!! Getting ready for Act 2 on Tuesday by not claiming Daily Challenge prizes. I can only keep 2 in reserve as Act 2 starts at the same time as the next daily challenge and if I already have 3 in reserve than I don’t get a new one. But if I end up with 3 good ones than who needs a new one ☺️ Also trying to build up lawyers while at the same time still trying to help neighbours who are a little behind the calendar. I made it with a couple of days to spare so I would rather more neighbours achieved the last prize (or are able to get it for very few donuts) than start Act 2 with loads of lawyers. Good luck if things are going to be close! 👍👍👍

I’ve been playing around with using Pride Crosswalks to make a graphic equaliser for my Rock Stage. Would prefer it if you could turn them 180° (White on top, colours on the bottom) but it’s a start… 😄
