Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Lisa will start this for you with dialogue. This will be followed by needing to keep your Rock and Pop characters jamming because you’re going to need that prize track currency.
Act 3 “Hip Hop” Runs until September 12th
Note: the whole event ends Sept. 12th
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Act 3
Bling
So the ability to earn Sunglasses is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act 3 has reset to zero because you have zero Bling. So forget about those shades…time to get a little bling bling, and collect that bling!
You’ll earn Bling very similar to how you earned Sunglasses (and cuffs during Act 1) during Act 2….
-Clearing the fan tappables (they now earn 30 /tap)
– Clearing fans in your Neighbor’s towns (now earns 15/tap)
-Dropping Lawyers in Neighbor’s towns, or clearing Lawyers they dropped in your town
-Jam Sessions
-Weird Al Prize track
-Daily Challenges
You’ll also earn Bling from the questline…don’t ignore the questline. You earn a ton of Event currency from it, it’s important for your prize track total..
New Details About Fans (Tappables) in Act 3
For Act 3 Fans now drop MORE currency than they did in Act 2. Each Fan you clear in YOUR OWN town will drop 30 , with a chance for 8
and a lawyer to drop.
Fans you tap in YOUR NEIGHBOR’S TOWN will drop 15 , with a chance for 8 and a lawyer to drop.
This is an increase from Act 2. (and Act 1, so don’t get discouraged by the prize totals)
Weird Al
Weird Al Prize track is still there, this time you can earn Extra Bling and Crafting Currency. The final prize unlocks the ability for Weird Al to play on the hip hop stage. Otherwise same rules apply…
Hip Hop Track unlocks with main questline (at least it did for me in my B game)
Update: Ok, some of you are confused or just impatient with this and want more clarification.. once you’ve COMPLETED Pt. 1 of the main questline (Straight Outta Dumbton) you’ll see the Weird Al Tasks popup.

Act 3 Personal Prizes
Hip Hop Stage 14,600
Land Token/New Venue for Jams- 33,600
All Sales Vinyl- 56,900
Rappin’ Bart- 83,200
600 Tickets- 109,500
Cletus’ Monster Truck & Manager Cletus- 146,000
Again, don’t be discouraged by the total required for each prize. You’ll be earning MORE for doing the same things you did in Act 2. So just plug along, you’ll get there.
Also, these numbers are LOWER than what was initially proposed for Act 3…
Act 2 Prizes…
If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT 2” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)
Crafting
Crafting remains, as it was during Acts 1 and 2, for Act 3.
Ticket Crafting Currency is earned via the prize track, Weird Al Prizes, Tappables, Lawyers, Praiseland (if you purchased it) & Flaming Moe’s (if you purchased it)
Bonuts
You’ll once again be able to earn Bonuts (Bonus Donuts) during the questline, instead of when you finish the prize track. Similar to how it worked in Acts 1 and 2. Should unlock once you’ve finished the Act 3 questline.
Now you’ll need to earn 15,000 to earn the Bonuts.

Blasting Bass- 45 Donuts, Earns 2% on all cash and XP
Returning
Jay G Bundle- Jay G (Full Character), his Mansion, Pool & Gossius (NPC)-225 Donuts, 75 Donut Rebate, NET 150 Donuts. (good buy for all you guy)

My 3 cents: 1) Stu (who actually was discounted over the weekend in Act II) at net 105 was a no-brainer. Picked him up instantly. He also helps with Yoga Mats in Heights (I’d been looking for a discount on him for at least a year now…) 2) Alcatraaaz I’m on the fence…will wait for SIB but probably pass as it just doesn’t strike me as unique enough 3) Jay G returning at net 150 is a pretty solid deal as that mansion looks awesome, comes with an NPC, bonus % item, and full playable character. I’ll probably nab him this time around, even if he doesn’t jam (I’m assuming he does not).
Prize track a bit underwhelming. Yet another skin for bart (which won’t be used after this event by me). Cletus’s skin I’m ok with; I only started playing about 3 years ago, so I don’t know if Cletus has any prior skins, but I don’t have any. I’m also very interested to know if the booming base item (45 donuts) is animated.
Yeah it’s animated, the people hover up and down and when it’s tapped, it vibrates for a second and they fly up then back down.

I already play for five years and there was never a skin for Cletus even not at the Casino Event.
Anyone else not see there Weird Al tasks start up for Act 3? My act 3 started as expected but for some reason my Weird Al prize track is stuck in Act 2 telling me to see what they have in store.

Weird Al Hip Hop Prizes is locked for me – when I click on it, the game says I have to wait to see what they have in store. No clock, just says Quests are available until September 12th. Otherwise everything started for act 3. Or are the quests for Weird Al locked till I get Hip Hop stage?

I wish they had included hip hop/pop gates and a third type of fences in the craftibles!
I was so silly and accidentally bought the Mansion Bundle, I clicked on it to see what it looks like as I usually do but then realised that doesn’t work with bundles, and before I knew it I had bought it. I’m not too sad as it looks pretty cool but I only have 100 Donuts left now.
Check your settings if you have on confirm donut spend, it is handy for this type of accidental buying, as it will ask again whether you want to spend donuts 😉

Ive been having server problems for a few hours now, which I know sometimes happens when new content is launched. Also my weird Al price track is stuck on the pop section, when I click on hip hop it says I have to “hold up and wait to see what they have in store”. I have started the hip hop prize track quickly before I was kicked out of the game. I have deleted and reinstalled the app twice and contacted EA. just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem?

Why does Lisa keep talking about a Jazz stage? The prize track shows the Hip Hop stage is the final one we can get, will they actually release a Jazz stage when the event ends or is this all a joke as part of the Event Questline?

Hip hop, not my cup of tea, to put it very VERY mildly😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I assume the two characters are skins for Bart and Cletus. In that case, imo the prize track is quite underwhelming, which I expected.
My phone recently broke and the replacement has issues, so it needs to be exchanged, preventing me from tapping at work (Bluestacks at home though). I may or may not finish the prize track, but seeing there are no new characters, it won’t matter much to me.
Jay G was released in january this year as a Gil deal. I may pick him up, since the offer with the rebate is good considering the 2.25% bonus item, a character, a NPC and a nice building. But it confirms my decision to wait with many of the limited characters, since they tend to be reoffered quite soon. Passing Rachel Jordan for this reason.
Discount offered for Disco Stu (net 105). As a Freemium player it was too tempting not to go for.

I bought Disco Stu bundle which was 180 and 75 back. I had 466 now I only have 242. It deducted incorrect amount of donuts. Has anyone else experienced this? Most of you might have had it already.
Got to 5000 from daily tasks and collecting jam rewards, so I’m off to a good start. I couldn’t resist getting Jay G this time around, i knew he would come back eventually.
