NOTE: Right now there’s a fairly widespread issue going on with players being logged out of their TSTO game because their password was reset. If this has happened to you hit the forgot password option on the TSTO login screen and follow the instructions.
This is widespread, but it’s not impacting everyone. (But it’s impacting other EA games as well) Trying to get more info on what happened, I’ll update here if i find more info.

I love David but I’ve always struggled with Rei Momo
Was never a fan but kudos to them – they formed when they were at high school and got signed after winning a TV/radio competition for new bands; I think they were only 15 when they recorded their first album and I think the mother of one of the members (guitarist Daniel Johns, possibly; I guess I could have looked it up) initially managed them. Because of their early “grunge” sound they were somewhat disparagingly referred to as Nirvana In Pyjamas (a take-off of a kids’ TV show in Oz called Bananas In Pyjamas), which was pretty petty. They wrote their own material and played their own instruments and that makes them OK in my (song)book.

That first song is by probably my favorite band, although I don’t consider that one of their best songs. If you haven’t heard of them, I highly recommend. Update on my end, I had uninstalled the game twice and contacted ea which they ended the chat on me. When I tried again they only wanted me to call and they are not open to phone calls today. I guess it’s just the waiting game now.
Not sure if it has been mentioned but the third prize can be placed over roads. I feel like it’s only a matter of time now that we could place cars on the streets where they belong.

I was just coming on here to see if anyone else was having issues with EA/origin log in. I see that yes, it is a widespread problem, and not just me, thank goodness. I noticed last night that I was logged out of tsto and my scrabble game. Went through the BS process of resetting my password, and managed to log back in to tsto, but I still can’t log in to my scrabble. It keeps telling me my password or email is incorrect, when I know it’s not. So frustrating! But I’m glad it’s not just me, I was starting to think someone had hacked my account or my iPad, though I don’t know if it’s actually possible to hack an iPad? My sons game did not have this issue, he was not logged out of his tsto last night when I checked. I guess we all just have to wait around for EA to fix it. 😔
I bought the paralyzer ride and I’m happy with it. Bonus % per donut isn’t amazing but it’s worth it in my opinion. When tapped it spins faster until one of the riders go flying across your town and “blow up” the elementary school in my town but in a friends town I swear it blew up their brown house. Not sure if more buildings are affected or if that friend had stored their school or what.
The building it blows up will vary amongst a few pre-programmed selection (similar to the police tank)

Hi Carierow, happy your family & friends are safe. All mine came through o.k. Lots of yard damage & a couple still without power, but overall they are safe.
Liking the mini event, not as time consuming as the bigger ones and friend visits go quicker. Like that we got 2 new kids in town although they weren’t cheap.
Kids are never cheap. Just wait until they go to college! 🙂

It’s been reported over at EA forums.
Best bet for instant access to TSTO is to do the following:
Chose ‘forgot password’ from the support page and within a minute or two you should receive an email allowing you to reset.
All other ways of password update are not fast.
Reports coming in of a 3hr wait.
I’m still waiting for my email to reset the password.
Hello everyone. Anyone know how to change your username?
I don’t remember the exact steps because I did it a few years ago but as far as I can remember I went to ea.com and logged in using my EA/Origin username (my email address) and password. If you look around you should find an option to edit account info etc and there should also be an option to change your username…

Looks like several of us are in the same boat. I’m still waiting for the password reset email. It only affected me, not my husband. Hoping they send the email soon.
Looks like there is another issue with logging into our games this morning, logging you out and not accepting your password. It’s happened multiple times before and is likely to happen in the future 🙁 DONT PANIC!!!! I don’t even really bother calling EA when this happens now. Nor do I attempt to reset my password. Best thing to do is wait. It’s usually fixed within a few hours.
So far I see at least 4 other posters are having the same problem I am, getting the message that I’ve been logged out. (And it not recognizing my password, going through the ‘reset password’ page but never receiving my email from them.)
Guess I’ll watch here for updates!

So… has anyone else got the zoom out REALLY far feature?
I had a HUGE update on my tsto yesterday that enabled me to zoom out. It’s really cool to see my whole town and neighbours town with this feature. Also makes tapping everything incredibly fast!
So far it’s only me and one other member of Touk that have got this. We are both on Samsung Galaxy 7 edge with auto update enabled.
I wondered if it is just limited to that particular device?

Today I thought to myself, “I wouldn’t mind getting the flu this year. Then I could finally get some time to redesign my town.”
I am hoping someone has gotten through to ea about this, but I am going to try again.
I went to play my game, it told me I was logged out and to log in again, ok no big deal. Well it’s a big deal now because after trying multiple times it won’t accept my password. I tried resetting it, but the email comes hours later and has already expired. I tried getting a hold of ea, but I fell asleep. Anyone else have this issue and has gotten through to them? I love the game, but I can’t restart it after two plus years of working on my springfield and krustyland.
I had something weird happen today; woke up and had an email from EA giving a link to reset my password. Opened Tapped Out and it had logged me out, I had to reset my password as the one I had wasn’t accepted multiple times. Oh and the EA password requirements are a damn joke!
I was asleep so it definitely wasn’t me! Any ideas what happened? Did somebody try to force their way into my game?
Performances at Homerpalooza stages are paid 100 bucks/4h what is less than a regular 4h job. How come?
I don’t know why EA does that but many of these after event main buildings pay out terrible for jobs done there later. I hate it.

Thanks guys! I just dropped all my characters(I think), and a lot of stuff that gives bonus. It’s a big mess right now. Looks like a bomb went off. It’s kind of overwhelming but I’m working on it. Any tips on re-building a town from scratch?
When I blew up my town over a year ago, I used an Excel spreadsheet to layout the blueprint of my town. It had a rough sketch of where the residential area would be, where the shops would be, where the educational area would be, where apartments would be, where mansions would be, etc. etc.
Problem is when new content gets added, it’s very hard to integrate it in if you don’t leave extra space. Next time I have a week off, I’ll probably re-design to integrate everything from the past year.
I would start with the monorail. Get the alignment right running into SH. Then I would work the large items, mountains, signs and volcanoes. Leave room to hide the bonus items like billboards and vans.
I agree with starting with the monorail. It is the focal point of my Springfield, and what I started with.
Make a plan on paper! 🙂
Where do you want expanding areas?
For me I simply put it into four. Wildeness, wild west, city and most importantly for me Halloween. The city grid of four different roads can split it for you and decide how big you want the area. Remember the town will grow from the east and South coast when new land is added. It will take time.
Perhaps SH…but make that into an area of storage for now. When finished in SF you can make that SH into a wow factor! I made mine into a space station.
Take a look at my own post NUKE town for planning ideas. Ensure you are able to grow areas from the decision 🙂

Would love to see your town. Have been considering nuke option ever since it was added, but I’ve never been brave enough. I’m a spatial relations idiot! I do like many things about my SF, but I am bothered by how out of place and just placed somewhere open some of my content is and how some areas just kind of run into each other without rhyme or reason. Then again, perhaps my main problem is that I want to bring rhyme and reason to TSTO!

Thanks for the great suggestions! I had considered making a plan on paper but it would be very rough. Too hard to figure the scale and size of everything to be too detailed. But a great idea nevertheless. My problem is in the inspiration. With a blank slate, it’s tough to decide how I want everything to look. For instance, the waterfront. I have changed my mind several times about what to do with it. I had almost decided to emulate mikeymoore’s “millionaires row”, but now I think I may go with more of a “tourist town” waterfront, with hotels and amusements. I’m not a great designer, but fortunately I have very gifted neighbors to borrow ideas from.
I did place my monorail first, but just went around the full perimeter of my town. Figured I can always move it later if needed.
I dumped all my vans and billboards and other bonus items in a big pile in SH, which will probably end up being my airport/space area, which I will save for last.
I also wanted to mention that although I didn’t play for over two months, and blew up my town, only six of my neighbors dropped me. I left a note that I was taking a break with some nice shrubbery, so that may have helped. So thanks to all my neighbors for sticking by me and being patient.
I’m flattered mate you almost emulated some of my town 🤣

We’ve had more rain!!! 🌧🌧🌧 We had at least 40mm which really helps – and there is a slight chance of more later in the week so my rain dance continues… 😄 Nice that the garden was watered for me because once again a major pipe has burst and my part of town has been without water since yesterday. They say it should be back this afternoon but nothing so far. Bath time will obviously depend on when it’s back. Fortunately I do have a little swimming pool full of water if I have to make another plan…
Because I was somewhat sceptical about the water being back this afternoon/evening I used it as an excuse to not get muddy and dirty in case I couldn’t get clean afterwards – and it’s still way too cold to swim to clean up! So instead I’ve been binge-watching Treehouse Masters. Love me a luxury treehouse! But for those whose plants are getting ready to nap for fall/winter I’ve included a picture of some flowers on my Mackaya Bella as well as another variation of the clivia’s that I put here a week or two ago. Unfortunately I can’t share the smell of jasmine and lavender that is so amazing right now 😄😄😄
On the TSTO front I didn’t even remotely make the Showoff but appreciate all the great designs that were on show! Inspiring! And now I’m busy rethinking the whole placement of the stages given the new additions from the mini-event. Decisions! Decisions! Decisions! I’ve finished this event and almost done with the backed-up quest lines from all my purchases so hopefully I’ll get some designing done this week… Time will tell! 😄

I actually have lavender & Rosemary planted now, and it smells incredible. Deer have been leaving those alone. Discovered the deer were falsely blamed for eating some other plants, it’s the rabbits. A far cry from alligators, snakes 7 frogs safer but the FL pests didn’t eat my plants!
Have appointment with surgeon Monday morning so please keep your fingers crossed. Still praying no surgery.

Love your flowers MAB! I’ve developed a fondness for lilies as they do well in our back yard. We have multiple pixie and day lilies that are getting ready for their winter nap! We have found that over the years it’s the flowers that tell us that they want to live in our yard,whether they are annuals or perannuals,lol! Cheers from Alberta!🌸🌺🌻🌼🌹

Hope you get your water back soon. Love the flowers. Funny about water it is raining here after almost three months without rain, in the town in the US that is infamous for always raining.. My lawn is brown as a wheat field. Reminds me of this mini event.

I’m unable to get into my game it says that I have been logged out and I try to log back in and when I try to do that it says my password is invalid I’ve tried resetting my password but it says I’m not meeting the password requirements when I know I am and I’m trying to get in contact with ea so that I can speak to someone on the phone and I’m have by trouble is anyone else having this issue
