NOTE: Right now there’s a fairly widespread issue going on with players being logged out of their TSTO game because their password was reset. If this has happened to you hit the forgot password option on the TSTO login screen and follow the instructions.
This is widespread, but it’s not impacting everyone. (But it’s impacting other EA games as well) Trying to get more info on what happened, I’ll update here if i find more info.

I’m storing Cecil! This is the second time I’ve accidentally spent $5 million on his stupid Road to Riches. Just as last time, the daily challenge was to send Springfielders on some measly task for a pittance in in-game cash so I had to manually send 200 characters on their 4 hour tasks while waiting to dismiss the challenge. Cecil is always somewhere after the first 100 or so characters so I become less alert as I send each character on task and BAM!! I spend $5 million to send Cecil on his task. It would be nice if EA would remove the Road to Riches from Cecil’s task list, but still have it available at the upper right corner of the screen.
You can avoid that problem without storing Cecil. When you have a “send all x” task, send them through the “Do It” button for that task. You’ll get a list of all of the characters who can do it and you can just tap your way down the list. Then, for the rest of the characters who can do that task, just use the unemployment office. The only time I ever have to send Cecil on a task manually is when I go looking for him especially because I want to send him on a Roads to Riches task.
I got the Blue Haired Lawyer in a mystery box from earning daily challenges! Awesome. I’m happy I bought Dr. Nick instead last week from my Vault offering. I almost bought the Lawyer last week instead. Very cool!
Sweet. Congrats. Several years ago my sister got SVT. Alas, I never got a character from the Mystery Box.
If you look at my KEM test with a new game, you can see that early on I received the squeaky teen , blue haired lawyer, lemon tree, tire fire and Kearney early on through mystery box purchases.
Does anyone know a number or email address to contact EA?
Like a few other people, I’ve had zero luck with customer support about the log in issue, even though they’re marking my cases as “resolved”. Nope!

Are you in the U.S.? If so, when you start a case here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/?product=the-simpsons-tapped-out , one of the options should be a phone option. AFAIK, unless they’ve changed it, there is no email address available (although I think email may be another support option). I recommend using the phone option during “regular business hours” in the U.S., and to hang up and try again if the person doesn’t have an American or Irish accent (those call centers seem better equipped to handle problems than the others do).
There are 3 main payouts on buildings: dollar sign, pile of cash, and that restaurant wallet thing. If visiting a friend for 3 actions, it would be nice to know which of those pays the highest average amount. Is it random, or does one really seem to pay more than the others?
All 3 pay the same when you’re visiting neighbors.
Ok, I need to vent and honestly you all are the most likely people to understand my frustration. EA is driving me nutty! This whole issue with not being able to log in is getting ridiculous. How long has it been now, 3 days? I was able to get back into tsto with the password reset, but I still get the error message from my scrabble game. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling, it makes no difference. I know my password and email are correct, since I’m able to get into tsto and EA itself. Today I tried yet again to get “help” from EA. I filled out the form, and then it comes up with a box saying that the best way to resolve my issue is by talking on the phone, but gives no way for me to do that. No contact number for me to call, and no form for me to fill out with my number. Under the little box that says we should talk on the phone, there’s just a back button! How am I supposed to get back into my game if there’s no way for me to let them know I’m locked out? I’m sorry everyone, I know this is tstoaddicts and not scrabble addicts, but I needed to complain to people who understand my need to tap and swipe.
I doubt anyone could blame you for venting about such a hair-tearing EA mess up. I’d be in full blown withdrawals (and had been the last time I ran into this type of problem). I’ve got a bad feeling that it wont get fixed until the end of the event. 🙁 I’ve got my fingers crossed for everyone in dealing with this. Come on EA there has got to be a fix for it.

(This was much harder than I thought, because, every time I’d request a translation into Latin, I’d then switch it back to English to see if it still worked, and very few of my attempts passed the reverse-translation test. The ones I submitted all pretty much did work….or close enough to be understood correctly. Oh, and for some reason I don’t understand (having never taken Latin, myself), “ICTUS” had to be capitalized, as shown, to mean the correct thing…apparently, it has a different meaning in lower case.)
Last night I could have sworn that my vault said it had only 45 mins left before the change, now it is saying there is 16 some odd hours left. Am I hallucinating?

nah, that happened to all of us… perhaps a coding issues related to the quick vault reset on wednesday.
Mine reset at “midnight” with the same content as the previous day – for 24 hours.
Reset again at “midnight” with the same content for “limited time”

Tuxedo Krusty lost his 12 hour task (and 24 hour if he had one). 🙁 I can’t recall what the task was now, but it’s no longer there. His longest task now is only 8 hours.

The 24 hour task was the funniest. That’s the reason I bought Tuxedo Krusty in the first place. It was fight with little Krusty or something like that. The small clown popped out of Krusty’s pants and he punched it back down. Too risque? Boo EA!
I’m hoping it’s just a glitch that will be fixed and we will have those tasks back. We need to contact EA.
The 24 hour was my favorite. He walked around with the Mini clown in his pants
Tuxedo Krusty is back to having both his usual 12- and 24-hour jobs.

Just hit 1.5 Billion in my Springfield Heights.
Seems to me the best return on investment is:
3 characters on 8 hour coffe quests = 120 and at 200 can yield 600k
3 characters on 8 hour chair quests = 240 and at 200 can yield 300k
So, in 16 hours I can add 600k from coffeee and 600k (300+300) from chairs.
Looks like I might add 500million and hit 2 billion in a little over a year.
I have a post coming on this, stop stealing my thunder. 🙁
Oh, and congrats on 1.5 billion REV. The last half billion was the easiest for me. I think I went from 1.5 to 2 billion in less than a week in Spring 2016.

And I’m cheap and lazy. So I’m always looking for the simplest way to get there.
Wait, I’m confused. What do you mean by this comment? I’m trying to build up my Springfield Heights currently and how are you doing an 8 hour coffee quest when you can only choose quests that take 2 minutes to complete?
They added 8hr tasks awhile back. Should have two that can do it

I am unable to get connected as well. I downloaded it to my phone (play on iPad) and am able to play anonymously but can not log in on either device. No response from EA for me.
I’m lucky I was just using this time to build up donuts/money since I’m lvl 939 and finished with mini event.

If you are one of my friends, please do not tag (vandalize) my town when visiting. EA has this stupid policy where my righteousness rating goes to a half star if I don’t get to it immediately. It ruins my town’s 5 star rating. Repeated tags will result in removal from my friend list. For reference, my IGN is Parkin76. Thanks.
Do some KEM farming and you will not worry about that 1/2 star.
Just buy and place a bunch of training walls in your town and you’ll never have to worry about your righteousness rating going down again, even if your neighbors tag you constantly. (You can hide them behind buildings, if you want.)
Buy Training Walls and stash them behind buildings. If you buy enough it shouldn’t effect you

I checked the old Post on the Vault and saw the date. Boo.. I never had Jub Jub once. Have you heard of others not getting certain items offered? I saw one or two comments on the original post expressing the same thing.

Ya weird. I got jub jub from the vault last week! Just before the LMS event started. Came with the Springfield pet shop at 60 donuts I believe.
It always starts so innocently. Hmmm… This might fit better over here next to this. Next thing you know you’re moving around half your town. And the wheels are already spinning on a pretty massive remodel, but It’s probably best to wait and see what Halloween and Christmas bring first.
I finished off my Pop/Rock festive area and very happy with it. I really enjoyed that event and the outcome of the area. The only area I am making room for now is for the expansion of the Cletus farm area. My Halloween area is next to it, so that will combine nicely, and my Christmas area is off in a corner that can expand easily. I wish I could add snow to my Christmas area year long to make it look right. Must be a global warming thing when I listen to science…
I’m very disappointed in the job payouts for the stages. A lot of the players earn $100 or less for a four hour job.
I just did a ton of remodeling. I had been leaving space for any new Halloween stuff but…ooops. Hopefully we get a strip opposite the of I’m going to have a lot of re-redesigning to do.
You probably noticed a lot of water in my town now🌊…I’m building the water space in to leave (empty) space for future additions. I learned way too late that there would be things coming that I wanted to squeeze into existing areas. Now all my new areas have water built in that can become land again when I need it…a lot less building shuffling. Good luck with the re-decorating…it already looks pretty good to me😊.
I’ve been playing for like a year or two and never remodeled. Got a crazy idea the other night to finally do the remodel and exploded my turn to start from scratch and start brand new. Omg it took me literally 2 hours to reset backup my town!! 😭

Ive always said, I wish theyd have an undo feature or a save feature. Where you can change stuff and if you dont like it, revert it right back to how you originally had it

Anyone else had an issue with the radius of your taps changing? I had the maximum radius from the IRS building and now it’s a pain to tap and clear jobs and buildings.
Did you store it?
Tap on the building, you should have different facade options appear…those facades change the radius.

The Twins start a 3 game series vs. the Yankees tonight, with playoff implications on the line. I know who I’ll be rooting for. ⚾️😀
The Yankees have a 4 game WC lead over the Twins…I think the playoff implication hype is a bit overblown… but that’s just me.

But knowing how the Yankees have handled them over the years, I’m more concerned with where the Twins will be in the standings after it’s over.
I’d be remiss to point out that visiting teams are 7-3 in the Wild Card games. Only the Pirates in ’13 have won the wild card game at home in a 9-inning game. The Royals and Blue Jays have walked off the Wild Card games in extra innings in ’14 and ’16 respectively. The Yankees are already 0-1 in Wild Card games having lost 3-0 to the Astros in ’15. Who wouldn’t love to see Big Sexy pitch the Wild Card game at age 45.

Luckily it hasn’t happened to me yet because my account is accidently linked to a non-existing account and I can’t change the password on it.
I logged on this afternoon to find I had about $4-5 million gone from what I had this morning. I don’t think I bought anything, certainly not that expensive. Has anyone else had this happen now or before?

I wonder if EA people will provide some fixing to this week Vault mess. I was offered the three items I was waiting for on early wednesday. I could not get them inmediately, some hours later they weren´t offered anymore. I got some repeated offers instead, some items had been offered to me at the beginning of The Vault, some months ago. Very dissapointing, really.
I got locked out and when I do the ‘forgot password ‘ I don’t get an email with the reset instructions
I have the same problem. Nothing works. No mail at all, I’ve been doing the “forgot password”-thing like 20 times. Frustrating…
