Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well, Halloween 2017 certainly hit Springfield with a thud yesterday! A magical event has arrived in our towns, but of course it wasn’t without it’s inital problems. Thankfully the questline bugs are patched and we’re ready to conjure up some fantastic spells in Springfield!
For Act 1 of Halloween you’re tasked with working your way through the introduction fo all things magical…including wizard studies, trolls, goblin “gold” and fantastic beasts!
As was mentioned on the run down post Act 1 of Halloween runs until October 1th (when Act 2 will start), and you’ll need Lisa and Homer to get things started.
Don’t forget the Questline will help you get some bonus prize currency…so make sure you complete it to earn that extra currency…also the questline is there to guide you. Make sure you complete the main questline in order to unlock things like neighbor actions, crafting and more.

Is wizard Martin able to do magical jobs? Willing to buy if he can.
I’m not sure if I am missing anything, but after capturing and enchanting Kearneymon and Lewd, is there any way to collect wands for my characters without purchasing Wiggops or Treestache (already sending Kearnymon and Lewd out every 4 hours)?
The only other way in Act 1 would be to purchase the Burns Dragon and Capturing and Enchanting it. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until Act 2.
Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the black edges…it’s so annoying and makes it all look so dark. Worst feature this year hands down!!!!
I do t think you an, it’s there because EAT or TSTO creators wanted to make it seem mystical or scary. If you are playing on a small phone, I understand how it’s a nuisance, but if playing on a tablet, it is no bother.
I still need to have Bart skin skinners pants ow ate ver and it doesn’t show up in any list of tasks, wizard Bart or others. And isn’t this an important quest? And does it disappear after oct 11? Or does it not matter at all?
Have you completed all Lisa’s tasks? I’m done with all his takes and hers and they usually come together, mine did.

I’ve been seeing 3 or 4 of the kids battling the same troll in my friends towns but I can’t figure out how to unlock the extra door slots. Am I a dummy?
There is nothing to unlock. Send them all. You have a maximum of four slots available.
Lisa, Milhouse, Bart, and the premium character (if you have that ine) are the only ones that fight in the act.

started this kinda late. i was wondering if you can speed up the capturing using “free” status. haven’t seen it yet, so not sure if it’s possible.

I’m so messing up this event. First I assign the 4hr task to Lisa and Bart of the side outfit questline instead of doing part 4 (if I remember right), then I attack the wrong monster. Now I can’t get anything from my neighbors because it wants me to collect from Other Springfield first. Well I already visited and tapped there today before I got to that point in the event so I have to wait another 20 hrs.
I gotta air this: WTH is up with the “bonsai beings” craftables?! They are GINORMOUS. They’re essentially nonplaceable—not fun at all.
Does someone need to explain the concept of SCALE to EA??
Sorry for the rant, but this feels like a slap in the face from EA.
Halloween is holy to us old-school Simpsons’ fans.
I think they’re roughly the same size as the regular bonsai in the game. But I agree that, in general, they’re not very consistent with scale in this game. (Although, they do have to take some license with scale in this game or we’d never be able to see the characters…having a character that’s roughly half the size of his house isn’t exactly realistic, but it is necessary. But I do think that, for example, from building to building, even ones that are meant to be roughly the same size IRL, they sometimes have ones that are way out of whack with other ones.
Hello, I am a huge fan of Tapped Out, and this is my first Halloween. I looked at past years, the zombies, the ghosts, the leaves falling in your screen…I was so excited…. But I have to say I just like this event….It does not feel Halloween to me (after having seen what Tapped out did it the past)…I am still doing it, every four hours. I am happy of the returning items in the store, but I was more excited for the Act prizes in the Secrets Agents event…
The craftings are ok for me….
I love Harry Potter but this Halloween feels more like a long episode tie-in event.
Magic is fun but It does not feel TreeHouse of Horrors to me.
I agree, and also Harry Potter feels more Christmasy to me than anything. Probably because Christmas and the surrounding festivities were always featured in the novels, and I believe the movies were usually released that time of year (could be wrong on that one).
hate it when i only have the minimum characters to do “tasks” required to move forward. ugh.
If you have the minimum characters required, there is nothing preventing you from moving forward. Why all the hate?

Some of the Craftables are meh ’cause they’re returning stuff from 2016, EA’s execution is meh (I only hear spookie music when visiting Neighboreenos – guess that’s better then nothing) but I think these last 2 updates solved the snafus?

Just finished off Kearneymon for the first time (i.e. collected 15 dark mana), now he is sitting in his corner, smoking, and I need to collect 15 light mana for the next round. Plus, the Bonuts rounds started up, for every 5000 wands collected. So this time, it isn’t tied to the prize track at all, I only managed the first three so far.
Not sure if anyone found or wrote about this and it might just be a glitch on my phone but if you tap on the Chambers Market Exchange in a friends town then tap the green but with the number of how much to level up it will bring you to the goblins in your friends towns. it was quick for me to find all goblins in friends town. Hope this helps all. If you knew about it then good if not you are welcome.

Can you explain this a little more clearly? What do you mean by “tap the green” and what do you mean by “the number of times you want to level up”? I tried tapping the market and nothing happened, but it sounds like I’m supposed to do some other capturing afterwords and I’m not clear on what that is.
I have misplaced myagic Tower… how can I find it? I must have placed it somewhere, it’s not in my inventory… 😣

Go for Martin. He’s both the most iconic and he helps with recycling plastic at the railyards.

But it’s a beautiful building, don’t you think? I didn’t get it the first time it was available (didn’t have enough donuts) and I envied it in my neighbors’ towns whenever I saw it.
I bought the mystery box to get every prize, including the worthless buildings. That was very stupid of my part.
I always love Halloween. I’m not a HP fan but loving this event so far. Only disappointment is the crafting, most of the item were from previous events which I already have (werewolf Flanders, bats, coffin, wolf rock etc). The new items weren’t very exciting either. Also, I’m on iOS in the UK but had no problem buying donuts with SVT’s skin. I already own him from a mystery box from a long time ago.
I’m not a Harry Potter fan or of Halloween in general, but enjoy cosplay and nerd humor and am liking this event so far. The jokes in the story have been making me laugh 🙂 I like the funny looking goblins and the art on the load screen is really awesome looking. I think It may help my enjoyment of this event some that I’m a first year player or I would be a bit peeved and underwhelmed about already having many of the craftables I’m sure. I am looking forward to Werewolf Flanders and am hoping I get King Kong Homer in a mystery box within a few tries

Yeah, currency count is only showing in Friends view but not when viewing an individual neighbour. Nothing to do with SVT
I am well into the event and love it. There was a dialogue screen regarding squeaky voice teen being involved in some way but I don’t see any tasks for him or a way to buy or precure him. Any help please?

Two issues First, I don’t have Shelby in the donut section and Second, I finished the Railway station for donuts and tracks but it has restarted again. Anyone having these issues?
It has been written about…yes. The railway station is a blessing…just keep earning. I’m on my 7th cycle this week. That’s Bonuts!

Am I still better farming donuts with my KEM farm? I’m farming about 30 donuts every 4 hours… I can make the jump to the railway if that’s a better option now.
KEM farming is the #1 way to earn free donuts, not the station. It would take you over a week of blueprints to get the same amount of donuts as 1 day of KEM farming.
Why not do both? There’s no conflict between the two. But, if for some reason you actually do have to make a choice, then 30 donuts in four hours is more than you’re going to earn at the railyard where you have to spend a lot more than four hours to collect enough blueprints just to get five donuts.

My apologies…i just realized that this might be about the event mystery box, when I thought it was referring to the regular mystery box. If that the case, then you’re completely right. Sorry!
Yes…well, technically, several. There are three cycles that yield three billboards and three news vans each, and one that yields two of each. The cycles vary in terms of the number of donuts you earn and which non-bonus items you get in the non-bonus item “slots.”
If you’re lucky, maybe Charles will post the cycles here for you (if he hadn’t already…. I’m answering via email, so I can’t see yet what other responses you may have gotten).
Am I reading it correctly that a large portion of the Crafting items will not be available since I built them previously, including the Werewolf Flanders skin? I’m usually OK with the Crafting items, but this just seems a little half-baked.
Pro-tip: Haven’t seen anyone else mention this, so hopefully I’m sharing something new.
If you only have two creatures (not Treestache and Wiggins)… Get to the second part of “Tale of Two Mages,” the Bart and Lisa side-quest. You can then send Mulhouse and Lisa to capture Lewd and Kearneymon, and send Bart on to his task for the side-quest to collect 50 wands. And you can repeat it every 4 hours, since Lisa is needed to finish that part.
So until you get another creature, Bart can collect the same number of wands that are obtained by battling creatures 🤘😄🤘

You are better off sending everyone to Kearneymon to quicken the finish of the main quest line to start earning bonuts.
After finishing the main quest line, send them after Lewd and work on the side quest.
Hmm, well, you can also just send Bart along with Lisa. Payback is the same.
I know it looks like only one character can go on a job, but you can actually fill all four slots if you have enough characters.
Since you can send Bart to battle creatures for 50 wands with Lisa and Millhouse what’s the advantage? Am I missing something?
OOPS !!, Just sent Lisa of conducting, but in 2 Mages pt3 she earns 50 wands in 4 hours so I’m not sending Bart to prank Skinner as the other tasks all seem to earn game $s
Also found Treestache as a beast to battle along with Wiggops so I bought them both and now only 6 beasts show ( 3 you can battle and 3 coming in later acts )and it looks like you need to do Treestache’s pre-event questline first – Homer’s off chopping wood as I type.
Also if you don’t want to wait for the Tower, the crafting do-it trick finds Mythical Pests – I needed that for the craft an item task.
Yup, 2 x 4 hour tasks for Homer then Treestache is available for the Enchantment battles.
Also as has been mentioned – in the other slots the doors do not mean they are unavailable and seem to all pay 50 wands per wizard sent so you could concentrate on one troll at a time if you like such as finishing all 15 hunt Kearneymon then pick another to go at.
