Homergeddon Teaser Rundown and Questline

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So last night a short little teaser hit our games…presumably for the next event…Homergeddon.

This is a short little teaser, complete with one new item (free) and a questline.  It’s really short and lasts less than a week. End date is slated for January 23rd, which I assume is when the next event will hit.

So let’s break down the details & because it’s short, the questline too.

So, as I said at the top, this is pretty short.  Less than a week and only contains 1 new item (free).  It’s similar to the Homerpalooza teaser we got over the summer…short, sweet & teases what’s next.

Again this ends on January 23rd.

Another thing to note, before we get into the teaser details, is that for a lot of you Mini Events you may not have finished (or even got) will likely repeat themselves. So don’t think you’re going crazy when you see Deep Space Homer, Pin Pals, Homer’s Chilliad etc appear.  If you need help with those mini events check out our events page here and click the link for the corresponding mini event you see.  All of our questlines, tips/tricks & prize breakdowns are there.

Now onto the Teaser…

Let’s start off with the questline, since that’s what’ll unlock everything else.  Here’s the Turbo Tappin’ Version of the Teaser questline…

Drunky Road Pt. 1
Auto start

Place Fifty-Year Ice Cream Supply- Free
Build Bart’s Treehouse

Drunky Road Pt. 2
Bart starts

Make Homer Guard Ice Cream Supply- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp

Drunky Road Pt. 3
Bart starts

Make Bart Get a Squishee- 2hrs, Earns $110, 27xp
Make Homer Drunkenly Guard Ice Cream Supply- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp

Drunky Road Pt. 4
Milhouse starts

Make Bart Create Fake Social Media Campaign- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Make Homer Check Facelook to Ease Boredom- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp

Drunky Road Pt. 5
Homer starts

Make Homer Race to Moe’s- 6s, Earns $35, 1xp
Place Moe’s Tavern

Drunky Road Pt. 6
Bart starts

Make Bart Raid Fifty-Year Ice Cream Supply- 6s, Earns $35, 1xp

The first item you’ll unlock with Part 1 is the 50 Year Supply of Ice Cream….

Fifty-Year Ice Cream Supply- Free, 6×5. Animated when in use.

The second thing you’ll unlock..when the questline is finished…is an animation for the Ice Cream Supply when tapped.  When tapped sirens will go off and Ice Cream will pour out of it…

And that’s it.  Short and quite literally sweet.

Like I said this ends next Tuesday, which is likely when we’ll see the next event.  For now, enjoy the downtime (that so many of you complain we don’t get anymore), work on your town designs or just spend time with your loved ones.  Because you know once the next event starts it’ll be right back to the tappa, tap, tap grind!  Enjoy the calm before the storm, I know I am!

What are your thoughts on the Teaser?  Where have you placed the Ice Cream Supply?  How far in the questline have you gotten? What do you think the next event will bring?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’ve been playing this game for years. I enjoy it

  2. The last event maybe?

Homergeddon? Tasks are all backwards. 8 hrs then 4 then 6 seconds?

    Are we winding down?

  3. How does that old Vulcan proverb go? “KEM farm and prosper” I believe

  4. I’ve finished the teaser and no older event triggered for me. I started the game in November so am I just out of luck?

I got the will Bart forgive homer pop up thing and I got the animation of melted ice cream when tapping on the building and I’ve tried reopening my game as well as putting the ice cream building in inventory and pulling it out. How do I start an older event?

    • There’s a level requirement for being able to start them. I forget what it is (I can probably find it again if someone else doesn’t reply with it). Anyway, maybe you haven’t reached that level yet. What level are you? (Not your XP level, but your actual level, which if you don’t know can roughly be determined by who’s the last new character you got for free whose questline you have entirely completed…or by looking at the walkthroughs on this site)

    • I think you need to be on level 60 or higher to start the Classic Mini Events.

      • That makes a lot of sense. I’m level 51 so I’m under the level 60 requirement. Thank you both for answering.

How often do these classic mini event throwbacks happen each year?

        • Lately periodically before major events. They started this trend last year I think. I expect others to pop up throughout this year as they rerelease old content for new players.

Side note there must be a lot of new players if they are rereleasing old stuff so others can catch up. I would suspect that is a good sign for the health and longevity of the game. Not that they are dumping everything because the end is coming…

        • It’s only the second time old minievents came back.

  5. I haven’t been able to log in to my game since Sunday. I go to the EA website and can’t really find an answer to my question. And there’s no way to contact technical support there.

I used to have an 800 number for them but I don’t have it anymore. Does anybody have an 800 number. The last time I used it I also had a connectivity issue I called in and they answered my question and got me connected within one minute.

    • If you go to their website, look for “problems” and then “contact us” …and request a call back. They are usually pretty quick. Sorry, couldn’t find an 800 number.

  6. Put homer’s honey smoker that looks like a bee’s nest on the game, that would be a great item to have.

  7. Good timing…. I’ll be away in NYC for my mom’s birthday Saturday through Monday and it looks like I won’t have to worry about keeping up with the game while I’m gone (since I should be done with this mini thing and the next event won’t have started yet). I’ll probably tap once or twice a day while I’m away, but it’s nice to know I won’t have to if it’s not convenient.

      🎶 While you’re away, you’ll tap the game every–day 🎶

    • Hello I’m Sandrashill and I am an addict! (no worries – me too!) Enjoy NYC.

      • Actually, my addiction is waning…. I’ve been playing much less diligently for the past couple of weeks. I’ve been super busy, finished the previous event at least a week early, and don’t really need the income (I’m flush with cash and donuts). I even sent my characters on 24-hour tasks for a few days, which I’d never done before.

Apologies to my neighbors for not visiting more often… the last time, since my time was limited, I just focused on visiting my neighbors who weren’t at level 939 yet (figuring that those who were probably didn’t need the income from my visits). I’m not sure when/if I’ll be resuming more regular visitations (although I’ll definitely visit during an event in which visiting would help my neighbors with the event), so, if anyone wants to dump me as a neighbor, I’ll understand.

        • I’ve been visiting less often also, usually only a couple times a week. I was surprised to discover that being unable to tap for a couple days (no connection) was not such a bad thing, as long as no event was running. Have been putting my folks on 24 hr tasks for a while now, except for my pin pals and a few others whose tasks I really like (Sideshow Bob doing lasso tricks as Wes Doobner is hilarious 😂). Don’t need anymore cash at this point, so checking in once a day is plenty.
Have a great trip…we’ll keep the neighborhood watch going for your town while you’re gone 😎.

  8. I really like how the Tappers avatars look like them…but why doesn’t Alissa’s look anything like her? I feel Alissa is getting an injustice somehow. Make one that looks like her! Do it now!

  9. I am having trouble sending my peeps on tasks from the “Unemployment office”. I can only send the about 23 of them (i have 120+) The only tasks i have are the current Homer/Ice Cream mini event and the daily challenge: collecting lattes. This is something new for me, happening just today. Anyone else having this problem or maybe a link to this?

  10. So, I have maybe a little tip for people that have more than one game going. I was in my “B” town, and I was just clicking around. In The Store, at the upper right is a little gear icon. Click it, and you go to an Options menu. Near the bottom, there is a button for “Info” Click it and you’ll see a list of 5 or 6 options. The bottom one is “Restore Purchases”. I clicked it to see what it does, and I got Jebediah Springfield, who I had purchased for my “A” town added to my “B” town for free. Then I tried it my “A” town, and I got the serf skin I had bought for SVT in B added to A.

    • Hi; Thanks for the tipI tried this in both my A & B towns & ultimately got the message “you have nothing to retrieve” I did B first; & had to login to Apple Store to proceed (after seeing the caching screen); But thankfully no money was taken.
Both my towns are old & have Jebediah. B has Fracker; But A doesn’t. Other than that most have the same characters & skins previously won or purchased. Maybe it only works with skins? Worth a try anyway! Nothing to lose except a few minutes of time to check!

  11. Will the Deep Space Homer Stuff go on january 23th??

  12. My store has Malibu Stacy HQ with a 40 donut rebate (so net 125). Sorely tempted but the last event nearly wiped me out with mystery box purchases. I have enough but it’d put me under 100 for the first time since I passed 100 eons ago.

    • Unless Stacy is a must-have for you, I’d pass for now. I have her, but her questline wasn’t overly interesting and now she just blends in as a forgotten character who is never involved in anything new. There will almost definitely be a new mystery box between now and Valentine’s Day, and it will likely include other characters for a price that allows you to get 2 boxes for roughly the same price as she is. Moreover, you may get another chance at her in the Vault anyway. Worst case scenario: you don’t find anything/anyone you want more throughout the next event and the next mystery box and you some day spend 40 extra donuts on her, but at least waiting gives you more options in the meantime.

  13. I haven’t had a mini event trigger and I know I haven’t played any of the mini events yet. Is this a bug?

    • Looks to me like you can only finish those you started before – I have the last part of Rommelwood in my B game, but I also have a newer game with nothing, and I didn‘t play any of the events in that one.
