No new Simpsons this week…Football Championships are on FOX instead. In fact, I don’t think there will be a new Simpsons until after the Olympics are over. That’s a long hiatus from our favorite yellow family. How will you cope with Simpsons withdrawals?
This week saw the end of The Buck Stops here and a hello to Homergeddon! As the new teaser arrived with a tasty treat for Homer. Have you completed the teaser questline? Looks like a new event will hit next week, what do you think it will bring?

HI there. Silly question, where are those crazy expensive items in the store? Like the fortress of chocolitude and sit and rotate thing ? I got the elevator to nowhere some time ago and I went back to check on the others and now I can’t find them. They used to be under the dollar sign icon (I think?) in store but I looked in all sections, like decorations, and nothing. Did I miss them?
In the store, look in the building section…the button on the left under Homer and Bart. They are both there in my game.🙂

Sorry if this has already been addressed…but what happened to the tsto addicts app in itunes? upgraded to the iphone X and I cant download the app. i am currently running ios 11.2.2
We stopped supporting it well over a year ago. (it just never worked the way we wanted it to & we had some issues with the developer) I believe the developer pulled it from the app store.

Hey guys, I’ve been playing since 2014. I wish we was able to rotate the buildings more then two ways. It’s really annoying. I also wonder why is the Christmas event soooo long. I’m over the snow.
No way it’s going to happen. EA would have to code it from the beginning of this game. It’s the same category of wishes like “night mode” in Tapped out. It’s to late to program it: it’s just not about filter like raining snowing etc. it’s about reprogramming every single building with lights every facade. It would be very difficult. So much that it’s now almost impossible.
Just the houses could be done 😁😁😁😁
FYI: Some Spring Heights building add-ons can be rotated into four different ways. Not the main building itself, though. E.g., the Exclusive Resort.
I’ve seen a few of my neighbors use that function to make some pretty cool designs 😀👍👍👍

When are the latest mini events due to finish?
Happy Monday, extremely busy yesterday cooking for my ever growing family, looking forward to the update, but nice to have some downtime, heavy snow here yesterday, all clear today, forecast for mild weather this week, bring on the sun😀
It’s getting REALLY irritating that EA hasn’t fixed the iOS glitch that I, and, according to customer support, many others are wresting with. For those of you not experiencing said problem, the game reloads from the dreaded “enter your age” screen after doing a small “update”. Every. Damn. Time. I’ve gone from checking in on my Springfield several times a day to maybe putting up with the 15 minutes of waiting once a day.
Most times, reloading issues have to do with a lack of available memory on a device. Some devices need 3 to 4 gb free to work properly with the game. If you still have that much memory free, you may have boggerts 👹, and there is no cure (sorry, just thought a little levity might cheer you up🤗).
I was having the same issue. It was because I had no storage. I deleted some stuff and haven’t had the problem since.

I’m sorry to be the one to point this out but i can’t believe you’re missing your Simpsons episode for football. I didn’t think that football was so big in the USA. I thought you all watched that mamby pamby stuff with all that protective gear that the rest of the world calls american football ha ha ha.
Now I’ve probably upset a few of you I must say what I came on for….
1… Do we not think the new event will have something to do with Valentine’s Day.
2… Does anyone else hope that they give us the opportunity to buy some more apartment blocks from a past event and maybe some alternative styles of houses we can have multiples of.
3… How about more land as well
My KEM Farming is now coming on a treat… just under 2400 donuts… 100 KEMS at a time producing a minimum of 30 donuts a time. When we have an event running I do it every 4 hours (4 times a day). When no event is running I only do it 2 or 3 times a day.
When the football game is on FOX it’s kinda hard to watch The Simpsons
I have some possible answers for your questions that you asked. 1. I doubt that the next event would relate to Valentine’s Day because it will most likely be the next major event but it could have a subtle hint like last year when Valentine’s content was released during the France act with Paris being the city of love. It might probably be something small that offers returning items in a mystery box and have a new item or combo as a Gil deal and/or a free item similar to last year. 2. The only items that I can think of which are “apartment blocks” would be the Zenith City Buildings from the Superheroes 1 and 2 updates, they might return but would most likely cost donuts since they were craftable in the past 2 events. 3. There is almost a guarantee that new land (maybe a lot of land in other places than regular Springfield) would get released with the next major event since it has been almost 16 weeks that land was recently released (no land was released with the Christmas update so the last land was with THOH event). Wow, you have nearly 2400 donuts or a boatload of donuts that should be enough to cover you for the next 2-3 major events premium content. I started watching the newest season earlier this month (just seen the THOH episode over the weekend) because it started airing on TV in the UK and I have Seasons 1-17 on DVD so it isn’t an issue for me to miss out these seasons.
Sincere thanks to EA for letting us newcomers do the mini events we missed. I’m doing Homer’s Chiliad. The Pro Shop has a 60 donut rebate on a 180 donut price making the net cost 120 donuts, same price as the original 2016 event. Just thought it was pretty typical American retailing, give a large rebate/price cut and make the buyer think he’s getting a deal. BTW, I will buy it for the coyote.
Wait… you have the Homer’s Chiliad event? How is that possible? I mean, right now I’m doing the Deep Space Homer event, shouldn’t you be doing that as well? Or am I missing something here…?
I had the chiliad last time mini-events were brought back. this time I have homer the heretic. I think it’s random.
The catch-up mini event(s) you’re offered depend on what you haven’t yet completed…maybe Primal has already completed Deep Space Homer?
hi, long time no see, when I took a break from tsto cranky still had his own forum lol. anywho, my town is now level 101, just finished hights an I’m omost done with the first monorail part, yay me. I’ve been playing since October 2013, but took two years off, an curently I’m up to 121 characters. i’v went back an looked at the stuff I missed since then an some of it was missiable, but I’m glad to be back.
so, on to speculation, or a big wish I guess you could call it lol, I want barts first kiss character for valintines day, the girl who rides the skateboard with him an who’s parents get mad at the school when they find out about it.
also, on a side note I’m shocked we don’t have praise land in the game yet. if you go watch the episode it has literally everything for a great Easter event, having to go around an collect all the different currinces to build it, different attractions to make a great them park area in our towns, consession stands, rollercoaster, pharris wheel, Vikings boat, maude statue, an log ride. not to mention we could have park goers walking around with maude masks on that we have to tap to earn event currency. add in a great story where everyone thinks there getting a miracles from the statue when really it’s just gas an this makes for a great overall event. an it’s all right there in front you within the episode. one would think they would figure this out by now but who knows, here’s hoping, fingers crossed XoX.

They also have Maude’s statue which has a nice task for Ned to ‘attend to Maude’s statue’
the girl isn’t Jessica I know of her, this girl was in barts class in the episode where she had to share a desk with him, she has short black pig tails, rides a skateboard with him and she’s forien, like Japanese or Korean, or something along those lines, the episode I’m referring to is the famous one where he rides up the slide on the skateboard thinking of kissing her only to be denied an after slowly rides back down it. I think her name is Angela but I could be wrong. ironically she kissies him afterwards makes no him all kinds of confused, later on they share ice cream at the ice cream shop. or at least try to before the bullys try to get to hm to beat him up. I just figured it would be a great Valentine’s mini event seeing as it’s his first real girlfriend that he also kisses an all, whos alot like him, honery, skateboarder, wise cracker funny girl who gives him a run for his money lol. an they could skateboard togather.

Like kitty says, the girl you thinking of is Nikki McKenna (voiced by Sarah Silverman) from the episode “Stealing First Base”, she was Bart’s on-off girlfriend in the episode or as Bart states: “I don’t get you. You’re hot, you’re cold. What’s your deal?”. She could appear in the future in the game as a prize or a premium character/character combo (similar to most of Bart’s love interests including Mary Spuckler, Jessica Lovejoy, Laura Powers, Greta Wolfcastle and if you choose to count her Shauna; with Gina Vendetti being the only non premium love interest).
Hello and welcome back. There was a Praiseland offered as a Gil deal for a limited time only. I passed, which I deeply regret. I think there were a couple of related items and an ability to generate extra walls (?). If you search on this site, you should be able to find the info. Hopefully it makes a comeback!
I also passed on the Praiseland deal and since after the event I did kind of regret it. Thinking of other Gil Deals from last year this was one of the better deals of the year with a female character, 2 decorations with bonus percentages, 2 buildings that generates income or crafting currency during the event, some trees and flowers, and the gate which can create extra walls. I hope that EA re-releases this during Easter this year and have the statue available with it since Easter is on April 1st (April Fools Day) and can’t tie with St. Pats Day.
I’m not really a football fan, but my Patriots are off to the Super Bowl again. Way to go guys. And Belichick actually showed emotion. Amazing. Absolutely amazing to see him celebrating. Hope they win #6 in a couple of weeks. Next up after that is the Olympics. Hope to see some Olympic items in the game.
The mini event kind of comes and goes on my B town (using my Kindle Fire tablet) I just sent some of my characters on quests yesterday but now when I go in my town the mini event icon isn’t even showing in my quest list. I didn’t finish the quest so where did it go? Anyone else having this trouble?
Interested to see what the Homergeddon event will bring. My two most favourite events were both the first of their repective years (Burns’ Casino and Destination Springfield) so maybe it can continue that trend.
My account is logging me out everyday on my iPad. Is this happening to anyone else?
This happened to a few people when they lacked sufficient space on their devices – in the case of my iPhone I needed to make sure I had at least 4GB free. If your iPad is nearing full that could be the issue – if not, then it could be something more mysterious…

Now we’re headed into the new year. I want the game to start making some updates. Please read below.
1. Give us a button to Clear All Character tasks. It’s time consuming to tap over 190 people when I’m at work. Let me do it in one swift motion.
2. Give us a wider zoom so we can see our towns better.
3. Day time \ Night time would be great.
4. Give us a Trash Compactor to trade unused storage items to convert into money, XP, or something of value.
5. Let us switch off the sound of certain characters. I don’t like Ralph, President Lisa, Mayor Quimby.
I’m guessing the next event should lead us into Valentine’s Day. So far we have no hints apart from Homer protecting his Ice Cream stash. Down time has helped me replenished my doughnuts. My sprinkles are so ready. Happy Sunday friends have a great day.
Love your ideas. Would love to shut President Lisa up. Every time she says, “Reading, writing, and refilling the ocean” I want to smack my head on the keyboard. I would add that I would love some sort of wall so that we can interact with our neighbors. I’d love to be able to say hello, complement their creative designs, let them know when I’ll be on vacation so they don’t delete you for inactivity, etc.

Good morning Addicts! I don’t normally post often. I do have questions, and hopefully someone can help me out.
I Kem farm, am currently level 800+ something. My problem is, my cash flow nowhere near matches my level. I only Kem 16 every 4 hours, and yesterday went almost completely broke. I’m a freemium type of person. How can I fix this?
Next one- I don’t want to nuke my town, but I also wish to follow in the ways Master Safi, and create an item list with all my stuff, so that I can begin to organize my town and make it presentable for my addict friends. Would anyone happen to have a master list of tapped out items?

Do you house farm? At level 800%, a blue house will earn you $160*9= $1,440 every 8 hours. So 7.5 houses will earn you enough to buy a KEM at $14,400 every 8 hours. What type of house you buy depends on how you play at the cost (they increase with each one).
In my test game, my next house costs are show below. At those level it is better for me to buy Brown Houses. For example, at level 620.5, if I visit four times a day and hit the brown house 3 times (10+ minutes) every visit the Brown House pays for itself in 29 days.

When you farm your Kwik E Marts make sure you hit the $ symbol to sell the buildings. Please check your inventory. You might have a ton of KEM in storage. Remember when you buy KEM the price goes up to $14400. Probably what happened is your building new KEM at a large cost. As for a list…. that’s hard to do since the game have limited time content and other content that remains all the time.
I’m not house farming, although I’m trying to purchase more to generate more income. I think my debt is higher than it needs to be.
House farming isn’t necessary….I never did it and I did just fine and am now earning as much cash and as much donuts as I need to pretty much get whatever I want in the game.
Use the shortest tasks you can manage, doing build more KEM than you can afford with the money you collect from your characters and buildings, and, above all, focus on building your multiplier (Mystery Boxes are the best for that, once you’ve gotten all of the Springfield Heights buildings out and all of the beach hideaway pieces out.)
It’s down time – between Events, so send Lisa to the eliminator and a chance at a Nuclear War Head Bonus multiplier.
Send out the rocket and a chance at a Kodos (?) topiary Bonus Multiplier.
If you are KM everyn4 hours, send your characters on 4 hour tasks which earn more (2 x 4 earns more than 1 x 8).
Use 🍩to purchase items that generate cash, Characters/ Building combos that generate cash and are used during Events

I’m so sorry I don’t have any answers but will be really interested to see if anyone does to your first question.
I am much lower level than you and also really struggle to make KEM farming work. (I have done the maths from the very helpful post on here already – the upshot is I don’t make enough in game cash to make KEM farming worth it, certainly I can’t even break even on the xp multiplier donut spend without losing money I don’t have!).
I suspect much of my problem is that I haven’t been focusing the freemium donuts I do earn on the right kind of content – it seems to me I need to switch up to spending all those donuts on value for money bonus multipliers (jet engine bikes, beach hideaways and mystery boxes, that sort of thing) and more characters (not buildings). Bit of a balancing act because I love buildings and designing my town most of all!
Anyway, look forward to seeing if anyone has good tips for freemium players that they are willing to share.
To do KEM farming efficiently you need to sell all but the one that came with Apu right at the start. Don’t worry about figuring out which the original is though, just make sure there is one you don’t try and sell.
16 KEMs would then cost a total of $17,970 and you’d get a quarter of that back when you sell so each round would only actually cost $13,478.
I made the mistake of keeping loads for income until I realised how much the price dropped if they were all sold, and as has been mentioned do check your inventory in case any have ever been stored. Those will count as owned KEMs and increase the price.
I think we have the same problems. Cash generation.
I started a house farm, just a few to begin to fund land to build houses to fund land… around level 40 and it’s now squashed into 110 land tiles, but even back then I was making more than the 13.5k needed for 16 KEMs and now spend 230k on 40 up to 5 times a day and still rake in over a half mil each day if I don’t keep getting the one donut box
It’s all about your bonus XP%. I’m assuming you are at game level 800, not 800% bonus, or your money problems would be minimal. Try to focus your donut spending on items that increase your XP% (mystery boxes primarily…aim for a 10% increase per week) and running the Collider 24/7. Add house farming to increase your basic income (choose houses that pay every 4 hours), and send your folks regularly on 4hr tasks to increase their earnings. All these actions should help make KEM farming easier and you’ll see your income steadily rise…good luck😄👍.
Have you got all of the heights buildings with hidden bonus xp out? Also, if you haven’t yet, focus on getting and upgrading all of the five beach hideaways you can have in your Springfield as these give by far the best multiplier return for donuts invested.

Anybody on the fence about seeing “The Post”, you gotta see this movie! Spielberg is such a great storyteller and the acting is terrific. Not always a big fan of Meryl Streep, but she and Tom Hanks are so believable in their roles, I would be surprised if they aren’t both up for Oscars this year.

The donut spending I do is centralized to the collider and things that make sense. I’m not a very big earner due to not having enough cash to go past 16kems every 4, and I’m not spendy with my donuts. I’m guessing I’m just a low income high level player that really would like to learn how to flip that.

Wouldn’t it be a great feature if you could move characters around and easily put them where you want them, like buildings and decorations?
You could get a group together sitting in a park, or Mindy and Brockman sunbathing together at the beach or a group of people exercising together etc.

You can move them if they have a task that involves sitting down on one of the benches.
Send the character to do their task
Then tap the yellow arrow next to the Bart and Milhouse icon
On the right, click on the character icon to shadow them out
Tap on the bench you would like to move (the one the character is sitting on)
Then replace it where you would like it to be
But I do agree it would be nice to move all the characters.
I’m sure that would make a funny ‘caption this’ scene.

So no pictures this week because the best laid plans of mice and men are subject to the weather…. At this point I’m supposed to be sitting in Jeffrey’s Bay sipping a drink and watching my nephew surf the world famous waves. But thanks to Cyclone Berguitta, plans had to change. My sister and her kids were flying Air Mauritius from Australia for a visit but the cyclone had other plans (BIL flew directly from Saudi). Fortunately their flight was only delayed by a day because the cycle didn’t hit full on so I’m still joining them tomorrow at Cape St Francis for a few days. But since I’m not there yet, no pictures of sun and surf for you but hopefully some for next week 😄 But there might not be any surfing pictures because my nephew’s surfboard, together with my sister’s and niece’s luggage, has gone awol… 😄
Going to be a busy week because I’m away Monday-Wednesday and when I get back on Thursday morning I’m fitting in all my clients for the week into two days. Fortunately most are still away so it’s doable. And then I have to continue sorting and packing to be ready to move the first week of February – no pressure! 😄 Made a good start this weekend by sorting out all our clothes and linen and have made a start on kitchen appliances etc. & when I say I’ve made a start on the kitchen, I really mean I’ve made a mess! Not t sure how I will make supper tonight but that’s a problem for later 😄
I’ve still been very lazy with regards to TSTO this week (sorry again neighbours ☺️) but it’s probably going to be like this for the next few weeks until I’ve moved and settled in a little… Looking forward to the next thing on the horizon as I’m sure I’ll be able to keep up even while I’m busy sorting, packing and moving. And if not there are always donuts!!! Still no designing being done but that will just have to wait. 😄

Moving is my single least favorite pastime…done it quite a few times, but somehow it never gets easier (maybe cuz each time I’ve acquired more “stuff” to sort thru😱). Looks like it‘s been a stormy week all round – storm „Friederike“ did quite some damage over here; no trains, no planes and few automobiles, traffic came to a screeching halt. Uprooted trees, flying branches and roofing tiles meant mostly staying at home. The children were happy at least – no school!

I noticed yesterday that my Manager Cletus was now earning at regular rate rather than premium. Does anyone know if this is permanent or a glitch?
He started earning regular several months ago. This is probably a permanent change until he is re-released for donuts.
