No new Simpsons this week…we’re on a long hiatus from our favorite yellow family. How will you cope with Simpsons withdrawals?
New event, Bart Royale, hit our Springfields this past week. What are your impressions of the event so far? How are you doing on the prize track?

I have never lost an item, but I have misplaced items then found them.
It is kind of fun when you have a high level town, it is like Hide and Seek.
I have both Jebediah statues, the regular one and ‘Super Jeb’ I can confirm neither can be sold.
When I tried it had a message ‘No Deal! You can’t sell this.’
As an idea, if you have Jessica Lovejoy- I believe she has a task to do with the Jebediah Statue, something like ‘disgrace a local landmark’ where she puts toilet paper on the statue…
If you send her on that task, hopefully it will take you to where your statue is- depending which of your 2 statues is missing.
I’m guessing you have already shadowed out your buildings to see if it behind a house or building by mistake?
Funny you mention LOST items.
I lost Bart’s Tree House for months. I thought I accidentally sold it. Was upset about it. “D’OH!”
Eventually I realized I had moved it into Bart’ & Lisa’s “Battle Castle” when I wanted to build the Snowman levels (in the Simpson’s backyard).
I could NOT see it and never had a reason to check out the castle.
I now leave a bit of open space for temporary moves so hopefully that will never happen again.

I like redesigning my town too, but I agree it is a good idea to place the items in the same particular temporary spot during a redesign to solve misplacing items. 🙂
Just an observation… Some event characters like to hide.
It’s nice that the tappable characters tend to wonder towards the main event building. I noticed a few events ago that some tappables will hide behind buildings in my farm house area. Out of curiosity, I moved some buildings, which revealed the character. As soon as I do that, they decide to walk towards the event building.
Anyone else finish the 12 hour task with the kids at the training grounds only to just have to do it again?
Yes, there is a Part 2. I learned from my 1st Springfield to stagger at least 10 kids. I got both parts done in 12 1/2 hours

Crafting strategy question… Is it better to keep increasing my Mega Playscape bonus to max it out, or continue on the prize track and save up for the Battlescape? It seems like I should be doing the former, but wanted to make sure I’m not missing something.
Remember, Battlescape Costs 600
600 will buy 6 trenches yielding an additional 3%
Me, I’m taking a break from Bonus building and buying Battlescape
Bart’s first task at the Battleship is 4 hours long
and yields 90 beers but no crafting blocks.
A better return on beer than at the Battlescape (58? Right now for me) BUT you lose Crafting to increase your %bonus%

I think you are doing the right thing. I don’t see a particular bonus increase with the battlescape and it is not part of the quest line. So it is just a decoration that is using up event currency. I will get it eventually, but just not now.
My goal is usually to sandbag in the first event a bit so I can get a jump on events 2 and 3. So in this case, I figure I want to get the fort up to 20% and I want to get 3 days of daily tasks saved up. Saving up 3 days puts me down a minimum of 4500 Duffs, so having the % multiplier is important. (With any luck, I’ll get a couple of daily tasks worth 2000 duffs, but that hasn’t happened yet) Being able to drop down 4500 of whatever the next act currency is, is a huge thing. It allows me to get the multiplier in the next stage working for me earlier than it should. And that has benefits that stretch into act 3.
On the other hand, If you are in a good spot and you will get through everything before the end of the act…It is not like having extra Duffs will get you that much beyond maxing the playscape bonus percentage. It seems like the bar for getting bonuts is getting higher and higher at the end of acts.
Bonut round for Act 1 is just 6000 beers. I just finished the quest line 5 minutes ago, completed my daily challenge and am at 1580/6000 beers!
I bought the battlescape instead of increasing my defence on the mega playscape but to judge I would say look at how well you are doing on the calendar for getting track prizes if you are far enough ahead then you might as well get the battlescape but if you are behind or barely keeping up then focus on increasing the defence.
Since crafting will go for the entire event (usually with few or no new items added in acts 2 and 3), I would build my bonus percent first as far as I could. Surround the playground with trenches and fences till you hit 20%. The Battlescape pays no better in event currency than the playground, so no advantage there.
Logic aside, you just have to do what “floats your boat”😄. If you really want the Battlescape, get it, and then go back to building your bonus…the game’s supposed to be fun, after all.
Sorry, bad info…the Battlescape does pay better in Duffs, but offers no crafting blocks…a trade off.
Im really worried i wont be able to get Pyro from the event, I have 8 days left, and i only have 16953 Duff. Is it still possible? I only have 5 adults and 3 kids. Plz help? Alissa? Wookie? Safi? Someone?

Your’e lack of characters collecting beer will make it tough for you. However percivere, you may be able to get close enough to your target to purchase him for 20 to 30 donuts say.
That is 5756 per day. If you click off a daily challenge of 1500 you might get 2000, which would help. How many times do you collect a day? And how much

You might not make it all the way, but just keep tapping. The closer you get to the total, the less donuts it will take if you decide you want to buy Pyro at the end of the act. Good luck😀.

Depends on how many donuts we’re talking about…any full character for 60 donuts or less is a good buy (same as an event mystery box). Over 60 donuts and I’d wait till he comes back around.
So happy I kept those land tokens. I was saving them for a land drop and keep cash on hand for the less expensive props.

Happy Sunday everyone, I am really enjoying this event but am behind on the calendar (got the Free Land Token today) probably due to not logging in that much over the last few days and then realised that I forgot to collect 2 of the daily challenges which brought me closer to the 27,000 target for today. I also can’t wait to unlock Pyro (or Chase) who appears to be the best prize for this act and if the picture of him with the camera is a task for him to catch fire and run around town then it would make him even better to unlock along with a voice.😄 I also reached the 5% bonus for the event and just waiting to get General Bart to finish the questline and work on the bonuts which I plan to use for Valentine’s Day items and the event’s Mystery Box.

I spend a lot of time on blueprints at the railyard. I like Jesse grass because he can be used for all three sections. I would follow up with Hooter then as he helps with plastic.
I would buy liquor and lotto. I don’t have it but I’ve wanted it, probably because I work at a liquor store that sells a lot of lotto!
Does anyone know what happened to the rail yard that it’s not giving out donuts any more? I seem to have a lot of things that have reverted to their primitive states, like Mr Burns money mountain is back at the first level and you can’t tap on a characters image in the top left corner when they are done with their task.
I’m hoping this is only temporary as they bring back old quests for folks to do.
Mine is the same 🙁 it’s been like this since the Xmas event and EA don’t seem to give a crap as they have stopped email me back now when I ask for more information. Very frustrating!
Been playing for 5 years and so have a large town with many characters, not been able to use the character button is driving me mad!
Have you tried calling them and opening a tech support “ticket”? They can also roll your game back to a certain point, but you would lose anything new. Might be worth it to get your features back?
Happened to ea need to reset you gameto an earlier time before a corrupt save occurred. Move fast as progress will be lost. Ea gave me some donuts as I lost things I had bought

Have a root round EA forums, this has hit quite a few and it seems EA have now figured resetting a load of behind the scenes bits rather than a rollback to the last time you knew it worked which would remove all the things you’ve done and earned since.
It is also clear that the best way to get this done is over the phone then the responses are as immediate as possible depending how long you have to be put on hold as emails can get queued or overlooked at times – but it may take a few calls until you speak to someone who knows about this and can reset the variables ( Remember that term, too – it’ll help )
Does the bonus beer rate increase the amount listed for the task or is applied afterwards like with normal tasks
It increases the amount listed.
It certainly does NOT apply to the ruffians.
I’m at 18% and each still yields 10.
Perhaps it applies to the characters on their 4 hour tasks?
The amount earned will show as you send peeps to fortify or attack so you know what to expect, but as far as I can tell if you add more bonus during the playscape tasks you get the higher rate – also doesn’t seem to affect side-quest amounts only playscape tasks

Loving the event so far, but sad =( I was one of the several victims that lost all of our saved up land tokens (I lost 6 of them) when the event started.
I lost 25 free land tokens. Did anyone find a fix?
Rollback to Monday and start again, did that on Thursday night and am flying at catching up but I did spend sprinkles on the premium characters involved and a few dragons teeth.
If you still have cash priced land click to see about buying because they do not show in inventory any more. If your only option is the promt asking if you want to spend the dollars then you suffered as I did and they are gone from your game but if it asks if you want to use tokens it will also show you how many you have got.
I lost 13 and the one at the start, and had it fixed within a couple of days so it didn’t cost too much progress and was worth it for the amount of tokens.

Is there a maximum bonus for the defensive area? I’m at 20% and it doesn’t seem like it will increase. I bought a bunch of dragons teeth because I’m thinking about doing a D-Day/Longest Day section on the beaches, landing grounds, fields, streets, and hills. Any thoughts on decorations to use?

So a fabulous little road trip and a good time catching up with my sister and her family! Went down to St Francis Bay which is just over two from here. Hadn’t seen my niece and nephews in 4 years so they had grown a little in that time! Got to watch the boys surf at the famous Supertubes in Jeffrey’s Bay and got a lovely sunburn for my troubles! 😄 Fortunately I go brown quite quickly so it wasn’t sore for long. Would have been great to spend longer with them but they were carrying on down the coast to Plettenberg Bay and then to Cape Town and I needed to be back for work. Made it home ok but my car is trying its best to die so some expensive repairs in my very near future…😬 Got back to a very hot day but the clouds came in and we had some nice light rain. And yesterday we had a thunderstorm and got over 50mm of rain which is fantastic! 😄
Packing has entered high gear. Just sent off a load of stuff to my partner who is having to work in Johannesburg and now I basically have this week to be ready to move Saturday-Tuesday – and me with a car that shouldn’t be driven until it’s repaired… All in a day’s work I guess 😄
Enjoying the event but taking it very casually. While I was away I usually only managed to check in infrequently but with the aid of premium characters I’ve just managed to start edging ahead of the calendar. Hoping that the Land Token only issue is just a temporary glitch and gets sorted soon as I could do with more space – especially as I still have to place the Christmas stuff etc. But that will just have to wait until the move is over! ☺️

Great picture of the Frangipani trees…when I lived in Hawaii we had several in our yard (called Plumeria there) and I will never forget the lovely fragrance that always hung in the air. Wish I could grow them here, but it’s just too cold. Good luck with your move…hope the car repairs turn out to be minimal.💸🤷♀️💸

Lovely photos! Do you speak Afrikaans?
Ek kan Afrikaans praat maar ek moet meer offoen want ek praat dit nie genoeg nie. Wanneer ek by die skool was, moes ons Afrikaans leer praat. Ek verstaan dit beter as ek kan dit praat maar ek is nie te swak nie. 😂
Translation: I can speak Afrikaans but I need to practice more because I don’t speak it enough. When I was at school we had to learn to speak Afrikaans. I understand it better than I speak it but I am not too bad. 😂 (At least I hope that’s what I said! 😄)
Having grown up having to speak it since about Grade 3 I find that I don’t even notice if a friend or someone like a radio presenter switches to Afrikaans.
Embarrassing story: I was once on choir tour sitting next to a Zimbabwean friend who didn’t speak Afrikaans. Someone was introducing another choir in Afrikaans so I was translating for her. At one point she leaned over and said: “you can stop translating now, she’s speaking English!” 😊😊😊
Nice! I actually understood some of it. Its kind of like Kreyol in the Caribbean. Im learning Kreyol. Not formally but picking it up as I go.
