Happy Friday Friends! Time to gear up for the weekend….with a brand new Act of the Springfield Job! Act 2 has arrived, so have at it my friends….
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Your heisters kick things off with a 4hr task to, what else, heist!
Act 2 Runs until April 23rd (when Act 3 will start)
Just what does Act 2 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Act 2
Crown Jewels
So the ability to earn Pictures is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to zero because you have zero Jewels. So get cracking on those Crown Jewels…
You’ll earn Crown Jewels very similar to how you earned Pictures during Act 1….
-Clearing the Agent Tappables (earn 10 /tap)
– Clearing Agents in your Neighbor’s towns (earns 5 /tap)
-Daily Challenges
-Sending Heisters to Heist ( earning varies)

If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT 1” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)
Crafting
Crafting remains, as it was during Act 1, for Act 2.
HOWEVER, Act 2 items have now unlocked for your purchase….

Free Land Token– 300 (can only craft once)
Remember….
You earn crafting currency from tapping Agents, completing heists AND sending Crooks to friends towns. So send those crooks! Masks still work…
New Heist Location
The Tower Of Springfield, the first Act 2 prize, is the new Heisting location for Act 2. You can still earn Crown Jewels (in fact you’ll need to) at the Museum…
Just like the museum, you’ll want to build up your Heist Bonus around the Tower to increase your prize currency payouts.

Looks like I severely overestimated the amount of space Id need to put all the stuff from this act. A lot seems premium which I’m not sure I want to shell out the donuts for.

Going on 2pm here in EST and still no act 2 quest or craftibles…I placed the new fort and can collect jewels or whatever but the only quest I have is “Springfield job part 6” where I left off because I didn’t care about Act 1.
Well that’s your problem. You can’t move onto Act 2 questline unless you complete the Act 1 questline. It’s been that way in the game forever…
Has it? I seem to remember not finishing plenty of “act 1” and “act 2” phases, and having no problem immediately starting the next one when it hit servers.
Questline must always be completed to start the next act questline. Your prize track will change over whether you do the next round of prizes or not, but the questline will not trigger.
The prize track and currency changes are on a timer, so they automatically change. For the questline there’s a timer but also a requirement task that must be completed before it will trigger. In this case that required task is the end of the Act 1 questline.
Okay, I figured it out…I had started part 6 of the first act’s quest, but not finished it…I just now logged in, placed the gondola and building to finish part 6, and the act 2 quest immediately started…so I’m good now and can craft and quest as intended
Thanks. Don’t forget you can move items (like Cheese Truck) to get your full bonus (20%).
One nice thing about the early Act 2 problems… the constant crashing resulted in me getting Buckingham and Abbey without a debit to my donuts.
A lot of the buildings being offered for this event are enormous. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to make space for the new content. I feel like I need to rearrange my town to make room, but there’s not a lot of room to play with. I bought all of the land that was for sale a while ago, and I’ve been crafting and using the free land tokens as soon as I can get them. I suppose there are larger concerns in life, but this is getting frustrating none-the-less.
I have the same problem. But i mentioned in the wrong post. The new buildings are huge, and if you want to design you need free land, if possible together. I will have to move a lot of things. We must pray they never have the Reighstag as price or for sale. That would couse a real prob
Just going to say the ghosts are an amazing deal and so much better then the 300 donuts for the mafia guys. And wth the ghosts you also get a building. Can someone please explain ea’s logic to me? 😂

I set an alarm for 6:45 a.m. so I could clear one last round of heisters to get Nana Sophie (I haven’t been religiously tapping so I was about 300 shy), and sure enough, I hit off instead of snooze and woke up a half hour after the act rollover. Oh well, it only cost me 5 donuts and I got a little jump start on Act 2.
I am not getting any crown jewels for clearing agents in my neighbors town – I was having this issue with the pictures too – I only would get pictures like half the time?! Anyone else with this issue??
You only get pictures/jewels for your first 30 actions in a 24 hour period. So when your day resets (10xp) you’ll get the crown jewels.

Maybe they haven’t started the second act…with the server down for some folks, they may be unable to start the new act?

I got in the game and I think the server outage is over for some, you pretty much got the basics (crafting prizes, new act prizes, premiums etc.) covered on this post.
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but the Wise Guys are now part of the heist. I thought it was odd they couldn’t be used in Act 1 but never mind. I really love this event. Good to know I’m not the only one who can’t connect (my wifi is awful so I can never tell for sure…)

I was 35 mins before! then accidentally sent everyone on an 8 hour task thinking I was sending Cletus’ Farm to grow something for 8 hours! Worst multi tasking ever! Where is the UNDO button when you need it? 🙂
store the buildings, then re-place them. then you can re-send them on a different task

use the town hall to find the specific person, and then remove the building, even quicker
my game was hit with that rollback issue a few days ago where i’ve lost my tap radius and more, and i’m getting quest lines that have been completed. anyone know how to fix this?
Contact EA that’s the only fix…and even then it’s not really a fix. Everyone is waiting for the patch from EA

I’m sure to enjoy beginning Act 2 of this Event once “servers are down” (aka Network connection) issue ceases 😬 yes, this has been a site wide problem over the years 😬 nope, EA has done nothing to fix this situation over the years 😬
Normally events start / change at 8:00 GMT (10 am for me CEST). The Americans should sleep well then. Most of them 😉
Now it started 16:00 CEST / 14:00 GMT. Everyone in Grogs own land was alive then. Alarm clocks set. Server said ‘EAAAAAARGH *wrxstf*’
My act 2 crafting items haven’t unlocked! It is saying “Reach act 2 to unlock this item” but I have reached act 2 as I am now collecting gems rather than pictures… Do you need to complete the act 1 quests? I couldn’t as my museum of fine arts disappeared with a glitch and EA are still trying to rectify it, so I never completed the finale for act 1… Will this mean I can’t craft items in act 2? Very confused…

As a last resort, you can delete and re-install the game. Had to do it once and it was a pain, but it did fix the glitch. Good luck😄
What a brilliant idea moving the start time to when ALL American players are awake… now the servers can’t cope… what a surprise… another stupid EA idea
I got in but my friends list is empty now. Hopefully that’s just a fluke.
I *hate* the footprint size of the Tower of Springfield. We already complain that land is at a premium, so they create events that require huge masses of land. What the heck?!!
Just a thought for EA in future: wouldn’t it be great to take some unused crafting currency and exchange that for prize track currency. That way someone who ends up being behind could catch up a little bit without having to spend donuts to do it.
Nuts, I accidentally cleared out the museum 30 min before the go live.

Well I was at least able to get the first prize & send characters on their first heist at the new location before I got kicked out. This is going to prove to be a long day in TSTO land I think!

I keep getting connection errors and its kicking me off. hopefully short lived issue.
And i screwed up my jobs last night, so didn’t have all my heisters waiting for me at act change. Another 2 hrs to go. But had 3 days worth of daily jobs, and new people to send of heists so all good.
Saved tons of Plunder, so almost have my 20% bonus already.
Annnnnnd the servers are down already…..=(
Can’t wait to start sticking TARDISes all over my town.

Assigned Homer and Heisters to their tasks, bought St. Paul’s Cathedral and the game went to the Bart Screen when I tried to place it. Unfortunately all my other characters are unassigned at the moment but at least I got my game characters tasked. That’s the important thing. You would think with all the money that EA has, they would have figured that everyone would be trying to play their games when Act 2 hit and be prepared to prevent it from happening. Fingers crossed that half their office isn’t out today because it’s Friday and that the game comes back soon.
Well the server down rant was short lived. I’m back in the game already. Hopefully so is everyone else.
What a bummer! It is 10 pm. I cannot get into my game! What time will I go to bed? It was much better when it hit at 4pm, what is EA doing?
I was able to get into the game for about five seconds, but got booted. I haven’t been able to get in since.
