Thanks that you keep doing this! I always enjoy it, although I forgot again this week… Too much stress at work, and lately I spent my weekends worrying instead of relaxing and doing fun things like compiling random lists of music. *sigh*
Music is a great way to relax (unless you’re listening to Jello Biafra or something that pisses you off and want to tear down the system). Anyway glad people are still enjoying it and look forward to your next list.
I never understand when people on here say within two sentences something to the effect that they are done with the event early or gotten all they care about and then turn around and say they want some down time before the next thing to design their town. When you finish with an event in your eyes, that IS your down time to design. I got the final prize Wednesday and did a lot of town rearranging this weekend. It is easy to make your own down time in this game due to the long event style, and I’ll take that leisurely pace any day over the constant stress that was Futurama before their hiatus.
Still trying to finish available quests in FWOT!
Need lv60 charachters to take on Mom Corp, and only have 6 charachters that are at lv40.
I refuse to give up until I unlock everything I can there!

I finished the event the other day but want to earn bonuts with the 50% bonus until the end of the event, so won’t be doing final designing until then.
I’m doing the same thing (working for bonuts during the event and doing some designing after). The only problem with designing during this event is that its so laggy when working on the rides and the blue area at the gate.
You can move the gate to another spot while you design…as long as you move it back before collecting currency, it won’t affect anything.
Hello fellow tappers , I got a question that may or may not have been asked but I know there is some characters that can earn Krustybucks and I miss not sending the ones that are eligible to the old Krustyland. I have way too many characters and way not enough patients to single them out to send but sometimes I do anyway, at least a few. Did I miss something here ? Oh and by the way its my birthday today! 🎂
I was just thinking about this. I don’t think there’s an easy way to find those characters and send them on their Krustyland jobs. Now would be a great time for EA to either update the Unemployment Office to add a Krustyland tab or the enhancement I’d prefer would be tapping on a building to get a list of everyone with a job there.

Putting Itchy Krustyland in Springfield Heights is working ok so far, but I haven’t really placed much there since I’m waiting to store the Injury 500. I just don’t find that ride interesting at all. I wish we could get more of the large non-I&S parking lots. They work great with my Duff Arena. I’m also quite please with how my monorail ride into Itchy Krustland is turning out. I’m going to keep Krustylu Studios on the outside and set up an entire movie lot area. Still have lots to go, but it’s nice to feel inspired again to work on my town’s design.
Parking lots to are available in the store in the KL section – 850 tickets each.

My game been laggin like crazy since krustyland
Mine did too. For me, it was related to the three I&S land rides running. I moved one piece of each, so the rides aren’t connected, and the lagging went away.
Happy Sunday everyone, I finished the main questline yesterday and currently working on my second set of bonuts. I am so glad to finally get rid of all the park visitors now from the bonuts. I have finished crafting everything I wanted but I need another 3300 currency to get a 3rd set of weirdos but if I don’t get them then I will craft another Nurse’s Station instead. I am waiting for the event to end so that the lags can be removed and I can actually do some designing at I&S Land, I hope that EA gives us some time (a few days) before they release the next update to design. I did redesign my pride area from last year (thank you mystery boxes :D) which will be included at the bottom of this comment, I wish that the hydrants, balloons, flags and billboards also returned. If it wasn’t for the content of the event and the mystery boxes, I would of rated this as the worst event of 2018 because of the lagging, event going on for too long and the small bonus area at the gate. 🎢🏳️🌈❓:)

Only thing I’m bummed about is no itchy and scratchy topiaries from the splash screen. They always introduce items from the splash screen… Would have also wanted a poochie character. Just have the npc roaming somewhere. Can’t remember if it’s a mascot or not…

Finished with my design of Krustyland and event only waiting for it to close.
Do you know when the next event starts ? I’m hoping for a decent break. I’ve been focusing on $ and buying available land – it’s too bad the unemployment office doesn’t send most characters to Dance the Senor Burns for the 8 hour task that earns conisiderably more money. I gained quite a few characters in this event and increased my bonus over 300% – I might do a farming test if there’s downtime.

Finished event in Wednesday, crafted all i wanted, can’t use anything due to the lag, lag, lag and now getting hit with the item limits, think they need to stop the events hitting till they have sorted out all these problems that effect the game, not fun at the moment
I keep seeing comments stating an expectation that the laggies will end when the event ends…unless you store the rides, I don’t see how that would happen. So, if you have to store the rides after the event, why did we just spend 6 weeks earning and building them?
Hello all! My husband and I went on vacation this last week so I barley even touched my game. Making memories without technology. I will not make it to the last prize and I will not craft the plunge. I thought this event was boring and didn’t really grab my attention. What’s up with 300 donuts for Scratchy! That’s more than Jesus! Come on EA 😑 I’m going to start saving my donuts now in hopes for a decent Halloween event.

I’ve had a difficult time trying to place and design within the placement area which is very annoying. I should get the last prize before the end. Just wish ea would go with a shorter event timeline! So the National Arts Festival ended this afternoon and I’m glad it’s over so things can go back to normal – although I will miss my sweet and sour pork 😄 I saw some amazing art, some mediocre art and some art that went completely over my head so I’ve no idea if it was good or bad 😂 Weekends are particularly crowded as people from nearby by come to the festival for the day so I avoided the crowds by going to the Wrinklies yesterday and today to spend more time with my brother and his kids. Mistake!!! Despite it being the middle of our winter (admittedly a very mild 23°C/73.4°F) the crazy Canadian kids wanted to swim!!! While the air temp was mild, the water was f…very cold! But I showed those foreigners and we swam for about 40 minutes. And my brother took full advantage of my being there to sit on the beach instead of taking his own kids swimming! Still I did have fun and nothing fell off due to frostbite so it’s all good. Fortunately today was a little cooler so swimming was off the agenda 😂. It’s back to work for me tomorrow but it will be a gentle start as the students are still on holiday for another week.
The World Cup is heating up! Congrats to France, Belgium, England and Croatia – some tense and exciting moments and it’s not done yet! Also hoping that Kevin Anderson can continue his good run of form at Wimbledon!
I am a design demon!!! I hadn’t done any designing since before the Rigellian Christmas event but in the last 4 days I have caught up with an 8 month backlog 😄 I still have to design I&SL but I’m feeling much better now that the rest of my SF is looking presentable! I do find that each time I check my inventory I find new things to add but I’m happy with how the new areas have turned out thus far 👌 Since Act 3 is pretty much over I’m also ready to make some progress on I&SL because that way I will know what I need to craft before crafting comes to an end. While I’m sure there are plenty of people who would like a break before the next thing starts I don’t mind either way… 😄

Your trip to the beach reminded me of my own family when we first moved to Florida (March of 1963) from Indiana. It was snowing big time when we left Indiana and a sunny 70F when we got to Florida. The first weekend there we all went to Cocoa Beach, and were pretty much alone, except for a few surfers (in wetsuits)…no one that lived there ever hit the beaches before May. We had a great time and thought nothing of the “cool” water, but we got a lot of funny looks from the locals. Years later we had relatives visiting from Michigan (in April) and they insisted on going to the beach…it was probably in the high 70’s, and we went, but no one in my family would go in the water. Too cold!!! ❄️😆😆❄️

Looks like I need to drop in again to see what you’ve done with the place! Admittedly, I don’t really do the rounds a lot, I keep visiting the same neighbours over and over, and your town was not on my “list” lately.
Also loved your comment about the art at the festival, that is so spot on! Every five years they have a huge exhibition of contemporary art over here, the “documenta” in Kassel; and I keep going, although a lot of the stuff is of the “huh?!?” and “wtf!” variety (i.e. completely over my head). But there are always some amazing gems to discover as well. Usually that fills my art-quota for the next five years. 🙂
Temperatures are on the rise over here, and hearing about your beach-outing made me somewhat jealous. I wish I had a beach to cool of every now and then, even with cold water. Although, where I come from, the water never is too cold, it’s the people that are too wimpy… 😉
I took a few days off from playing in Act 3, but I will still get all of the prizes. I won’t get to level 10 in crafting. Curious to see if anyone else will be unable to reach that level too.
Though, even if I got to level 10 it would only mean I have more in storage that I can’t use due to item limits.
This has been a crazy, long, convoluted event…to say the least. I give EA an A+ for their intentions…and a D- for the execution. I was actually happy to get KrustyLand back “on this side” of our towns…but, not giving enough land or extending the Item Limits realistically, blew a great idea into a nightmare.
The rides for ItchyScratchyLand are actually very cool…and fun! For whatever reason, I wasn’t hampered by the lag, and so I can run all three, very expanded versions of the rides.
HOWEVER….decorations were impossible…because of the freakin’ Item Limits!!! I ended up making a statement about the derth of available items I could place…and made all of the ISLand a huge dirt path… I was able to place ONE decoration (Duff Beer Fountain) on my Parent’s Island…before hitting the hard item limit once again.
If they don’t raise the Item Limit for the next event substantially, I maybe skipping it. I’m tired of pilfering flowers, shrubs and details, so I can place required items for the Questlines.

OK. Back to following the rescue attempts in Thailand. Praying and cheering and hoping that all are safe by the end of the week.
Skipping the next event won’t be a choice, but a necessity for me. If I can’t decorate the buildings I buy (or possibly even place them!), I see no reason to buy them at all. I’ve been pretty much a completionist up till now, and even buy donuts pretty regularly (when there is a character I want), but that is becoming more and more difficult. With nothing left in my town that I’m willing to sacrifice to the EA (we made this rule, so live with it) Gods, I’ll just have to start sitting out events…especially mini-events where no item counts are added at all. Maybe it’s time to take a break for a couple months.😹
Another gripe from me about bonus percentages
None of the recent items from events add anything to the bonus % total. I’ve been spending sprinkles with cash (an embarassing amount) to bump up my bonus %, now that I bought everything I could from the past, my bonus % has only been increasing at a snails pace. There are some items I bought multiples of to place strategically, but eventually you run out of places to hide jetbikes and plutonium rods, so I stopped buying multiples. My % was growing nicely but in the past two or three months I’ve only been able to raise it by 20some% 😔

I thought I wasn’t affected by the lag caused by the rides until I disconnected them. What a difference! I had thought it was from having too many items and I had gotten used to a slight lag. Try disconnecting them anyway, you might be surprised.
I don’t have any lag. At all. And have maxed out my items…I’ve hit the hard limit.
Afternoon to all. Glad event is almost over, I really don’t care 4 Itchy and Scratchy Land so I hope I can store most of it. Looking forward to a few weeks of down time maybe. Glad I got all the Presidents, except 4 Reagan. Was saving up donuts 4 a long time, was a complete success. Had to delete 50 items to add one, since EA lowered the limit from 11,600 back down to 11,500. Pretty sucky of them. Oh well…I leave you with my general philosophy of life…

I’m right there with you. If they don’t raise the item limits, I will be skipping the next event…and the one after, and the one after. Not gonna pilfer my shrubs no more! (That’s from an old landscaper’s spiritual).
It would seem the better alternative is to mass store your flowers and shrubs, earn the items, store the items, replace your flowers and shrubs. That way when the do raise the item limits you have the new items.
My problem, Charles, is that they offer more buildings and prizes than can be placed (nicely) with the amount they raise the limit. All over my town, I now have empty lots, missing fences, thinned out trees and hardly any flowers left. If the only way to play an event is to plop and run, I’d rather just skip it and use the new limit to put my present designs back together. I know I’m wayyyyyy too fussy about my town, but there it is😊.

Same! I’m even starting to consider sacrificing characters like Lord Montymort so I don’t have to worry about fitting in some of the more fantastical pieces.
I stored the Montymort battle scene immediately….surprisingly, Montymort wasn’t tied to it and still roams my town, making mischief whenever he can.

(Actually, we’re probably pretty revolting to the rest of you guys already…I can hear the muttering from here – “shut up already about the item limits, we’re trying to play here!”…I get it😄👍)
I guess if you have your town exactly the way you want it, it would be difficult to group storage a small section of your town. BTW, does placing water count as an item? Anyway I was just thinking an event usually requires just 20 or so items. Grab the free stuff and store away until the item limit is updated. Anyways, play as you feel fit.
Thank goodness water, roads and dirt don’t count…I’d really be in trouble then😄. The group storage idea may have some merit…I’ve been considering storing my Christmas/ Ice Castle area until December. I already stored most of my Halloween stuff and don’t have anything else left that’s seasonal. I might give it a try, thanks.

Just got the last prize from the prize track yesterday. Looking forward to this event ending. Hopefully we will get a little break to put things together and get our towns cleaned up.
In the meantime I’m just farming donuts to try and collect the remaining 4th of July items I don’t have. I don’t know if I’ll have enough time. I still don’t have Lisa statue of liberty, fireworks barge or any boxes of fireworks. Plus I want president Reagan. I’ll probably go for the items first before Reagan just because I’ve been passing on them for years and Reagan is new.
And he’ll be cheaper (much cheaper!) when he returns.
Please let us buy land tiles. At the moment it feels like rationing.

Had a bunch of errands yesterday. But first, stopped off at a nearby ‘Estate’ Sale. Searching for a couple of specific items. Found one.
Heard a gentleman buy a complete Stoneware Dish Set for $10.
My wife called me over and elated over an item. Wou,d we use it, where would we store it. Would we use it.
I said yes we would occasionally and we wou,d find a place to store it.
So, for $5 we purchased a 7 cup KitchenAid Food Processor with all the attachments.
So now, when our little one cup unit, that attaches to our blender, is insufficient, we can break out the Big Boy.
And remember that we have it when we are slicing

Great processor…we keep ours on the counter and use it at least a couple times a week. Making fresh pico de gallo (a staple at our house) is super easy now. Mmmmm…maybe quesadillas for lunch…now, where in the freezer are the green chiles?

Everything (except the base, of course) is dishwasher safe, but we usually just wash and let air dry. We never put the blade in the dishwasher, tho, since the detergent is pretty harsh and causes micro pits in the metal over time, making the blade dull. No knives ever in the dishwasher is a good rule, it shortens their life and makes it hard to keep a good edge.
The event is almost over. It was okay. So much potential and many missed opportunities. A lot of great new buildings and characters. The lag is just horrendous. The item limit really hurt this event. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully design Springfield the way I like without storing hundreds of buildings. Moving Krustyland to Springfield was a big mistake. I really liked the mystery boxes though. I cleared them all! I was really hoping for a robot mechanical failure part of the event or some additional tasks to tie in with the episode. Why couldn’t there be visual tasks for the event? Send characters to…and they’re gone for four hours, lather, rinse, repeat. So boring! The initial purchase and winning of characters is fun and exciting, but there’s little to keep it so. Loved the 4th of July items, Pride items and the Summer concert items.

I feel like every event has so much potential and missed opportunity. That’s why I really wish EA would change up how they structure events. We need something new to being some excitement back to the game.
I would like to see some side quests for other characters to make it more fun. In this event or any future. I understand that they have to make the event playable for lower level players that do not have many characters, so we see often the same characters in every event.
My idea for these sidequests is that they would not earn event currency and would not be essential to the event, just make it more entertaining. They could use higher level characters or characters from previous event, that are rarely used in events. It wouldnt put anyone who doesnt have those characters in disadvantage, but would make the event more fun for long time players.
Agreed, but let them earn event currencies. That is an awesome way to reward long-term players without diminishing the ability of new players to take part in these events. Once upon a time EA did use previous characters and items in ways like this. But in typical EA fashion, they stopped doing something that was actually good for the game.

I have a question…..will the XP collider pay out if you turn it on after you have already sent people out to do jobs and will the buildings earn the extra xp, or do you have to have the collider on already before you send people out? My collider runs out just before I stop playing for the night but I don’t want to waste those overnight hours if I can turn it on just before I clear jobs and buildings in the morning.

The added XP is generated when you collect from tasks and buildings. Don’t waste those overnight hours, unless you tap in your sleep. Just turn it on before you clear.

Great idea, but not possible for now.
You will be fine, as long as the collider is on before you collect.
This biggest problem is forgetting to turn it on (happen to me way too many times). Which is why many people just have it constantly on. I max it out with 30 days+.
So the event is ending soon. Dear EA give us a break and instead of giving us another event spent some time looking into the code base and start to optimise it. Get rid of the lags and you will make everybody happy
