Hey Addicts, Caption This!

Sometimes TSTO gives us humorous little moments when we capture our characters doing rather strange things.  These posts are all about those strange and funny moments!

When we can, we’ll be posting a Caption This! moment where we want you, the Addicts readers, to put on your writing caps and come up with what you think is happening in the screenshot. Post your captions in the comments below. We can’t wait to see how creative and funny you guys can be!

It’s Saturday, so let’s have some fun….

TGIF – Just Roll With It For a Thrilling Life

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

First of all, I am going to apologize for NOT suffering the same “Lag-Tastic” problems that so many of you are facing with this update.  Unlike so many of you, who are unable to utilize the vast majority of the rides for Itchy and Scratchy Land, I am able to place and run all three of the major animated rides in my ISKLand, with no lag whatsoever.

I’ll wait...while you hate me.

I have no idea why I am not suffering…as I have a huge town…am bumping into the Item Limits, and should probably have a laggy, unfulfilling mess of lagging…But I don’t.

I think it is because, deep down, EA knows how much I love roller coasters. I love them…with all of my core. Coasters, in my estimation, are the greatest way to get a thrill that is needed to scare, exhilarate and forget your worries, like almost no other invention by modern man!

I love all kinds of coasters…including the new ones that use military grade catapults to launch you almost instantly to cruising speeds above 70 MPH. But, for all of the cool technology in modern coasters, I especially love the thrill, excitement and danger of a large, creaky, terrifying wooden roller coaster, like the one that “got my coaster virginity” when I was just 11 years old.

Should I Spend Donuts on President Reagan and the Re-Education Center?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s nearly 4th of July in Springfield, and that means it’s once again time for the hole in time and space to be ripped open and a new President to appear in town!  In the past, we’ve had Presidents from the 1700s, 1800s, early-mid 1900s appear…this time around we don’t have to flashback to far in the past.  As the President of the 1980s joins our Springfield’s…Ronald Reagan.

Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab this past president because he’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add President Reagan and his Re-Education Center to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Jellybean loving President to your town…

Itchy and Scratchy Land Act III Prizes – Prize 1- The Zoominator

Before anyone else points out the fact that we already have a roller coaster in our ItchyScratchyKrustyLand (the Tooth Chipper), all of us who are roller coaster aficionados know that just like cowbell in a great rock song, you can’t have too much roller coaster!  And, this one is a Monster!

Besides pretty much being required to move through the questline for Act III…and once again, creating “Lag City” for a good number of players…it’s a pretty cool, ambitious and fun addition.

Let’s take a look at the details..shall we?

Should I Spend Donuts on Tina Ballerina and Itchy’s 70’s Disco?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s event time in Springfield!  With the launch of Itchy and Scratchy Land, summer can officially begin for the residents of our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, an all-new event means a new opportunity for EA to add new premium items to our stores!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Tina Ballerina and Itchy’s 70’s Disco to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this funky combo to your town…

Itchy and Scratchy Land 101: Act 3 Amusement Bonus

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Arrangement Bonuses are back again and it doesn’t appear that they’re going anywhere.  This is now the third event in a row where Arrangement bonuses have been featured.  This time around it’s called an Amusement Bonus, same concept different name.

So let’s take a look at how this bonus works for Act 3, how you max it out and what it’ll get you…

Turbo Tappin’ Itchy and Scratchy Land: Act 3

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s nearly summertime (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) and who doesn’t think of theme park visits when thinking about summer?  With the latest Itchy and Scratchy Land update you can build your own theme park in TSTO AND eliminate Krustyland once and for all! Just make sure you have your flashbulb cameras ready to destroy the evil robots…

As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 3 of Itchy and Scratchy Land runs until July 11th, and Homer will kick things off.

Don’t forget the Questline will help you get some bonus prize currency…so make sure you complete it to earn that extra currency…also the questline is there to guide you.  Make sure you complete the main questline in order to unlock things like neighbor actions, crafting and more.

Now let’s work our way through the twists and turns (and a few loops) of the Act 3 questline….

Itchy and Scratchy Land Act 3 Calendar and Numbers to Get It All!

As I have intimated in past posts, once or twice (perhaps even more than thrice?), my excitement for this event has been greatly curtailed by the item limits.  That said…it has been equally curtailed by how EAsy it is to get everything offered (even if you may or may not be able to place it somewhere…because of the item limits).

OK. Enough about Item Limits, and on with the Big Reveal...of what it’s going to take to GET EVERYTHING!!! (Which in this case includes a “Main Prize” that may or may not be torn directly from recent headlines…or Krusty’s Show).

Let’t take a look at What you win, and When you can win it, Who it is you win, as by now you know How to get everything…by grinding!

Itchy and Scratchy Land Act 3 is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, it’s that time in Springfield…time for Act 3 to hit our games. It’s 10am here on the east coast and that means it’s time for Itchy and Scratchy Act 3…so have at it, assuming you can get into the game of course!

Yes, odds are the servers will likely be down for awhile.  May I suggest waiting an hour or so before trying?  One day EA will learn that 10am ET is not a good start time…one day. (although I haven’t had issues yet today…)

Remember…this is an automatic change in your game.  Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..

Homer kicks things off in Springfield, and you’ll have tasks for Springfielders to staff rides and a task to build the Zoominator (the first Act 3 prize)…so hopefully you saved up those Daily Challenges to get a good jump start!

Act 3 Runs until July 11th (when this event will finally end)

Just what does Act 3 have in store for us?  Let’s take a look… Continue reading
