has anyone experienced their donuts disappearing? the first time it happened, i thought i just remembered my donut count wrongly, but it has happened a few times. i can consistently reproduce it by opening a bunch of mystery boxes and then closing the app. when i log back in, i will have less than 6 donuts. lost a few hundred donuts this way. it has also happened while doing other things, but not as consistent. its a good thing these donuts are farmed, so its just wasted time and effort. though it wouldnt be pleasant for someone who bought those donuts and decided to buy a few mystery boxes then losing all their remaining donuts
Most taps? Hey all. I’ve been playing since the beginning and I’m wondering how I would determine who has the “most taps” in Tapped Out. I’ve only given $1 ever to the game and that was when the Golden Scratch-R first came out. I’ve never done any “cheats”, had all of the land purchased until they switched the method of getting them, have about 170 characters. My doughnuts have been from acquiring train tracks. I have a decent sized track in place with almost 4000 pieces still in inventory. My friend level is maxed, real estate over the $1 billion, and all the road to riches items. Admittedly, I’m only level 303. Play everyday since close to the beginning. Guessing I’m in the upper echelon but not at the top. Thoughts?
Originally I was going to pass on “Tween Lit Inc and Slick” because I have no interest in the building or the character. However since it looks like this event is going to be mainly non-specific Simpsons character I ended up picking it up. I am more of a Simpsons Character guy. I just got the She-wolf and I am going on Vacation starting tomorrow, so now I am pretty happy that I got it.
This is such an useful purchase… I finished Act II in 3 days with this
I just unlocked the She-Wolf! It pays to save pickaxes. I had saved the 3 daily challenges and pickaxes after I had unlocked Count Grandpa so within 2 hours of beginning Act 2, I had almost 90,000 furs. 8 hours from now, I can start collecting Bonuts! I LOVE HALLOWEEN!

I was going to personalize my bank cards with Simpsons characters but I’m not sure the images will be accepted.
I have a couple questions/frustrations and don’t know if it’s me or the game….
1. I am limited to collecting special storyline items to 13 of my friends. Is this normal?
2. I have never in over 6 years of playing been able to complete a storyline to earn the final prizes….. WHY?!?!?
1. Yes. It seems to be the norm lately.
2. Maybe you’re not playing enough times during the day?
The friend collection is usually 10 during an event, so thats right. You have to tap and collect at least 4 times a day, every day!
Are you playing every 4hrs and hitting up your neighbors every 24hrs?
You might want to try to purchase one premium character/building combo in each event that helps with event currency. This event…the Tween Lit building will help bring in bunches of currency by keeping all the kids at the 8 hr task there. Usually, an extra character or two is enough to help you reach the final prize on time.
I haven’t been able to complete last weeks and so far behind on this one. I do play four times a day and I visit my friends every 24 and I am only still on the third one of shewolf. It is taking me forever on this one.
You didn’t mentioned doing the daily challenge, which is the most important.
I have a game with no premium items or friends and I am almost through number 5. (212417) with 260 axes I am saving for the next act. A little hint, don’t finish the quests. I know you don’t have Countess Dracula, but I am sending her out to every 4 hours for additional furs. As mentioned elsewhere, the premium item Tween Lit Inc. includes a task where you can send the kids out again and again if you don’t do the other task associated with it. If you have 150 donuts and haven’t bought it yet, there is a way to catch up.
Does anybody else hate lingering tasks so much that even in this event, with a very exploitable way to make event currency, I still prefer to just get things done? It’s really self sabotage but I just kind of like getting it done.
I think it would help if they get boxed sooner, so the list isn’t so long.
I do like the box helping me forget that i have 22 unfinished quests when i started the event with zero. However, the thing that bugged me the most was that i went 3 years before i figured out how to harvest perfection. I couldn’t clear the task. I thought i just had a glitch in my game. But then i finally found a post on this blog and completed it. ×_*
Someday I’ll have an empty task bar. But in the meantime i have bonuts to earn. I’ve become such a hoarder of all the premium stuff now that i’ve read the kwik-e- mart farming post.
Hi guys! Well I am at a turning point in my Springfield. I am at level 934, i have 1258% bonus and all the land possible bought. I have 95% of the chatcters and am using only the ones that make me money.
There are some parts that im very proud of like my Springfield Park, Military base and my airport. But since im starting to max out I’ve been toying with the idea of nuking and starting from scratch. I would love if people would take a look and give me their opinions. My ID is cabbyusmc172. I’m not sure if i should save some parts and destroy the rest, but with all the Halloween stuff (which is my favorite), and my want to expand my monorail i feel i need more room.
Also if you noctice the island with random things on it, thats my plop are for things i plan to use.

WHO IS YOUR MOST RECENT NEW CHARACTER?
Last night I got HUGO from the THOH mystery box and was very pleased!
I got the Frankensteins. I don’t know why I waited so long.
Still debating if I should bother with mystery boxes. There’s so much in there I don’t want.

is anyone deals having trouble with their friends list?I go to tap wherewolfs in my friends town and they arnt there..its just tap on the building like normal…then the next time proof wherewolfs…then back to normal building jobs…is this gapping to anyone eals?
Not exactly the same but sometimes when I tap the werewolves in friends towns nothing happens, also I keep getting boosted of the server when visiting friends towns.
I have actually lost all my friends in the friends list instead! Only have Other Springfield left. So there is for sure something strange..

So we had a little more rain during the week which was great but according to forecasts it seems we have a hot and dry week ahead… Temperatures are going to be either side of 30°C (86°F) with only very slight chances of rain towards the end of the week. Hoping the rain forecast is wrong and we get more than expected so once again I’m rain dancing my a… off! 😄
I continue to settle in to my new flat. I think I’ve decided where all the furniture will live and now it’s just deciding what should go in which drawer/cupboard. It has made a difference having more built-in cupboards than previously so will actually have some free space that I can fill over time 😄 Of course hanging pictures takes a lot longer as I have to live in a space for sometime before I know where each one should go. In the past it has taken over 3 years before some of my pictures have let me know where they want to hang so it could still be a slow process… 😄
The event is going smoothly (touch wood) and I should earn both She-Wolf and Were-Milhouse tomorrow. It has made a big difference having all my children (49) constantly Writing Novels (Bart etc stay at the Forge) as usually I earn the last prize with about 5 days to go whereas this time I will have 9 days of bonuts before Act 3 starts. But it’s not just a walk in the park as I do have to keep a careful eye on the ungrateful wretches as they try to run away from working even though I have surrounded Tween Lit Inc with roads and water! This morning I discovered that over time 5 of them had fled! So from now on, every few days I will scroll through the Town Hall list to make sure they are where they should be… 😄 Crafting is going slowly and I may end up having to use donuts to get all the Rickety Bridges (they really go across roads and water!) and Mob Crowds that I would like but will see how that goes… 😄

good morning. has anybody done a ROI for the crafting prizes. is the best % for the price the transylvania chalet at 3.2% for 1050?

That’s what I’ve been buying. But interested to hear other strategies. 🎃
After you get to 75% it stops. So what you have to think about is after the event. Will the buildings earn cash? (I am buying chalets) What will you use? Do you need 8 crossroads? After you get to 75% I would wait til the third act to buy things.
75%!! Very far from that goal. I learned my lesson last time, I agree, it’s best to craft items that give you cash/xp after the event is over. One year I did that with the wailing walls when I finally figured it out. 😉 Amused that it was back this year for 50 donuts a pop.
That seems likely! I haven’t done the math but it seems like a good bet. I’ve been building bridges just because they’re things I’d like to use in the game elsewhere after this event. I definitely built one chalet though before I could build bridges.
I’m eyeing what I want to use or have in reserve (trees and bridges) over any concerns of % though; it seems like using the kids in the Tween building has made event currency a bit broken. I feel like that last sentence probably put me on a watch list somewhere.
My crafting is the same…leaning towards what will be useful or fun in my town after the event (bridges!). The Tween Lit building/kid’s task makes the bonus percent moot. Already collecting bonuts and saving pickaxes for the next act, so just having fun with crafting.🎃
Bridges are seriously cool items. I won’t be crafting anything else 🙂

Fun times in Springfield!
Weird question: Has anyone else experimented with capturing your springfielders? I’ve tried all sorts of ways to capture them but my favorite right now is the magic KEM with the 4hr task surrounded by a small ring road and then a bunch of fences and walls for show. Out in the middle of unbuilt space. Once they come out of their 4hr task there (sent via unemployment office) they just get sorta stuck in the small road circle and their software doesn’t give them any incentive to stray. Even if they get out, they tend to path back to the nearest road, inside the fence. I delight in it every time.
I think I might be obsessed with (or perhaps just more mildly interested in) trying to make them do things since their wandering is really the only thing we don’t control…
I’d love to hear any similar antics…

I haven’t tried containing them but I’ve seen other people’s worlds where they appear to have all of their characters confined to one part of the world, for example on the pier, very curious as to why that should be.
I have all my krustyland visitors trapped in krustyland. They are drawn to krusty tiles so i rounded them all up with tiles and led them to krustyland and deleted the tiles behind them until they were all in krustyland on a circle of tiles. I had one wander off once but they came back on their own.
Howdy all and Happy Sunday! I’m finding the event pretty fun so far, except for occasional spells of terrible latency in my A game that necessitate uninstall/reinstall. Pain in the ass but not a big deal. I usually play with the sound off but had it on this morning as I cleared tasks, etc. and was thinking how I find some things characters say funny, even after hearing them many times, while others remind me why I usually have the game muted! So I’m curious, fellow Tappers — what character comments do you still like, even after playing for a while? And which ones do you really dislike?
My favorites: Hippie saying, “It sounds like YOU’re working for your CAR!” — I don’t know why but it amuses me. And Sea Captain saying, “I’m on it like barnacles on a hull!” — never seems to get old.
On the other extreme, I’d live a happy life if I never, ever heard Arnie Pye again, and I have a very low tolerance for Ralph Wiggum as well. I do not need to know that your diaper is full now, or that you’re a fire engine. That latter comment is especially grating prior to sufficient caffeination!

Like: a day without hearing Ralph say anything isn’t the sort of day I want to be a part of.
Dislike: President Lisa’s “three Rs”; it goes on forever and seems louder than any other snippet of speech.
My least favorite…”They’ll be beaten and bored when Inget through!”

OMG! YES!!! I actually turn the sound down as I’m about to hit President Lisa. The “Three R” thing is like fingernails on a chalkboard. As for likes.. you can’t beat “mmmmm donuts!” Because you just found one!
I actually always play with the sound off for some reason. I guess I almost never have my phone make sounds out loud – even when alone or in my office with the door closed (which is weird since my office is soundproof). I actually find all the stuff they say to be super funny but maybe the few times I hear it makes it that way. I also like to release everyone from quests at the same time really fast so I don’t hear anything coherent if I have the sound on – just a jumble of voices.
My personal favourite is “Maybe I’ll take a human bride; that’ll surprise Mom.”
And no, it has absolutely nothing to do with my personal life. Absolutely not. Nosirree. No way. Not a chance.

My least favourites are Lisa’s final statements at the two dig sites. Enough already!
Good day all. I’m loving the event and having the classics from the early horror films in my Springfield. My only issue is the characters I’ve purchased skins for in the past are all busy getting pick axes. No Count Burns. No Devil Flanders. No witch Marge flying around or stirring her cauldron. Mild gripe though. My choice to use them there rather then haunting Springfield. Thanks to the addicts staff and my long time tapping friends
I love the animation of the Bad Dream House … CBG slept there for 8 hours during the rare occasion that the Plastics Recycling building was full.
I love it, too…I have Lucille the Babysitter there 24/7…she is even on a different schedule than the others, so I don’t screw up and miss getting her back in.

I feel that keeping pickaxes for the following act is somehow a waste. Without excavations (even after completing the 5 discoveries) there is no event currency. And then, what is the use of the Flanders tome bonus without excavations?

You shouldnt stop excavating before you have all the prizes. After that the event currency gets you bonuts. If you keep the axes for the next act, then you will get the next act event currency, the bonus will still apply. If someone knows they will struggle in the next act (maybe they wont have time to tap as frequently), then they might choose to sacrifice the bonuts to make sure they get the next act prizes. If you have no problem getting all the prizes, then the only difference probably is when you earn your bonuts (before act 3 or after…)
Or it’s bonuts now vs bonuts then. I just went to the end of the prize track and will save pickaxes in case of unexpected international travel or whatever. I’ll at least spend them all out next act.

But I always take the cautious approach as you, one never knows what might hit them few days later 🙂 Maybe if I was a few donuts short to buy something that is leaving, then I would get bonuts sooner.

Well the goal is 287,000 to get the She-Wolf. At the time of this writing there are 10 daily challenges at 4,000 so that is 287,000 – 40,000 = 247,000. You will get 40 furs for each minion. At 60 per four hours 4 times a day (40*60*4*10) that should be 96,000. So at 151,000 you should be able to save your pick-axes for the next round. If you come up short on the last day you can always dig then.
