Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Halloween is back in Springfield!  Yes, the water is murky, the screen is slightly darker, monsters and minions are roaming our towns…is there anything better than Halloween in our pocket-sized towns?  Of course loads of returning content! Lots of items to drop those sprinkles on…

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Yes….the EA Servers are having issues…what’s new?

Yes.  You are correct.  There is a random, spotty outage of the EA servers that is causing mayhem in the TSTO world.

People are reporting:

  • that they can’t log in (Spinning Donut of Death)
  • If they do log on, all of the neighbors are gone.

Both are legit. Both are kind of “Normal” for EA… and both would imply that one of their server banks, the ones dealing with IDs for neighbors has been hacked, or is down, or both.  It has happened before. It will likely happen again.

SOLUTION?
Chillax. It’s a game.  If you are like most who come here regularly you are well ahead of the calendar for Act II anyway.  If you CAN log in, even if your neighbors are missing temporarily, you can still progress.

So. Chillax. Ya?

TSTO Treehouse of Horrors XXIX Act 2 Prize Guide – Screaming Stitch and Hem

I’m not going to even begin to try to understand this prize…any more than I am going to try to understand Alissa’s methods for posting the Prize Posts well after we most likely get the prizes.  But, maybe it’s because she wants us to slow down and remember the prizes we won…rather than just blasting through each update veraciously.

Or…maybe it’s because these Prize posts are so boring. Let’s go with that.

(Edit from Alissa: For those wondering the answer to this…I post the prize posts in line with when they should be unlocked based on the calendar…or as close to the date as possible.  If you’ve already unlocked it by the time it posts you’re ahead of the game…which is  good thing.  But I don’t want those that haven’t unlocked it yet to feel like they are behind by posting them to far ahead of the calendar.  So I follow the calendar for posting dates on prize posts…)

But, speaking of memories…the Stitch and Hem brings back memories of “Stretch and Sew,” which had headquarters in Eugene, Oregon (which is a bobbin thread’s toss from the REAL Springfield!).

The Stitch and Hem may very well be modeled on this company, which was notorious for “making sewing fun again,” as well as their raucous, bawdy company parties, that made company parties fun again. Rumors. They hang around in a place as small as Eugene. But, I digress…
