Last week for Act 2 of the 2018 THOH event in Springfield, how are you doing with the Act 2 prize track? How far have you progressed? Will you be saving your daily challenges (starting Monday) to start Act 3?
No new Simpsons tonight BUT there was an all new episode of Addicts Live where we got into some heated topics about Apu and THOH. Check it out here if you missed it.

Playing on Android. Still can’t craft the haunted crossroads in the holy forge. Says I have to reach level 4 already level 6
I have the same problem. Although strangely It was unlocked at one point & I crafted one. Now it’s locked again. I hope this isn’t a problem that carries on in act 3 😐
I have this problem with the archway in my 2nd springfield, it says I need to reach level 2 but on level 4 or 5 now.

I cleared out the new Mystery Box. I am assume that was almost all the available item for the Box because I got Nightmare Willie, Nightmare Pile, Radioactive Milhouse, Sepulcher of Evil, Squirrel Luann, Acorn Kirk,
Cauldron w/Witch Marge, Donut Torture Device, The Grand Pumpkin, Devil Flanders. I could have done without Nightmare Willie and Radioactive Milhouse but all that stuff put me above 500% and several of those things I really wanted so no complains.
I was placing some of the items I won and I came up with what I thought was I good item. Every business owner knows it is all about location location location.

Does the currency obtained by the kids at the tween lit building change when act 3 begins? As long as you dont complete part 2 of course. I hope so because i finished act 2 after 4 days and would like to do the same in act 3 and get extra donuts.
I expect it will change to act 3 currency…the Countess has event-currency earning tasks that changed to furs when act 2 started. No reason why both her’s and the kid’s tasks won’t change for act 3 also, since there’s no time limit on completing the Tween Lit quest.
I was working (spending thousands of donuts) through my alt accounts acts of Treehouse of Horror. I still don’t have a good town design up, but was building the Treehouse of Horror area when i got this golden notification.

I have been playing the last (jack o lantern) mystery box. I am getting some crappy skins, and hey don’t even trigger a dialogue, nothing points towards the fact that I have something new in the town.
E.g. Flanders devil skin. As soon as I won it – poof! No traces of it in the taskbook or inventory…
is this familiar to anybody?

Skins sit in your inventory until you use them. Only then will the quest lines etc start. Check under characters…

I thought the same thing when I got Marge’s witch costume and coldren. When she came out of the forge, I checked and her skin was there along side her character. I guess it didn’t come with quest. Maybe it’s the same with Ned.
Has anyone placed their pitch fork welding mob? I wish they could be placed like the other mobs we’ve gotten in the past. I would have liked to have them storm the castles. But they can only be placed on the side or with their backs to the buildings. Has anyone figured out a clever way to place them? Because I’m at a lose.

Thank you. I’ll probably go with something similar. Didnt realize they could go on the road. But I still wonder why they choose to design them with those positions. Would have been so much better if they could face the buildings. Btw love your kitchen.

I used them to set up a little witch hanging/house burning scene in the middle of town. I used the hangman’s cage, stock, bonfire, burning tree, potion shop from the “Harry Potter” event, and one of the mage nerds from a past event. The woman has a pointy hat and can pass for a witch. The mob looks like they have set her house on fire and are about to hang her and she’s throwing stones at them in self defense. It’s kinda funny, makes laugh every time I scroll by it. I’ve got a similar scene, although less elaborate, going on at the forge.

Sorry if this was asked before, but I’m totally interested in hearing your relic digging game technique.
There was a very efficient method described in the previous dig event. They had pics but I’m tech inept so here’s a written description. Since the cells adjacent to the prize have stones, picking on a diagonal covers the same cells, wasting a pickaxe. Think of the game as a spreadsheet or the game Battleship, with columns A through F going across (far left going up to the top) and rows 1 through 6 going down (far left going down to the bottom).
The first six cells to try are as follows: B2, D3, C5, F4, A4, E6. These six and their adjacent cells cover 2/3 of the dig.
If you haven’t found the prize or the surrounding stones then there are only a few more to try: E1, A6, A1, C1, F2. So you can cover every possible option in 11 moves or less.
Tips: Go slow, it’s easy to miss the stones. Be careful of fallen column on the right. It will partially cover cell E6 and make it easy to miss the adjacent stones.

If you use the above sequence followed by a North, East, South, West after hitting a spot, you will average 6.1 axes per find, if they are equally distributed. It is about what I average when I do it randomly.

Anyone visit their neighbours and have some of the characters be zombies lurching around? Went back to my town and back to the neighbour’s and the effect was gone. Also while they were zombies the wolves were not there to tap, instead the buildings were tappable again. Weird glitchy game today…
Countess Dracula has a four hour non event currency paying task where she creates at least 1 vampire. Found it accidentally today.
Create Minions task. Yes. The unemployment office keeps sending her on that instead of her currency paying 4 hour task. Now I’m finding her in the town hall menu and sending her on her currency paying task before i start the unemployment office.
Maybe your neighbor has the Zombie Sandwich dumpster? A one hour task turns 15 (or more? can’t remember) characters into zombies for an hour.

Should I do the shewolf tasks now or wait until the next act?
I have her on her 4-hr or 8-hr event currency tasks… I always wait with quests until event is over. Technically, if you are done with prizetrack, you are making she-wolf help you earn bonuts. Like a temporary garbage recycling thing, if you will… so I use that momentum.
I kinda enjoy gathering the quest lines and jumping at them after the event. Feels like huge cleaning or decluttering project 😀

Umm…Daylight Savings Time ends in North America on Nov 4th, and Winter starts just before Christmas. Check your clock, you don’t want to be early for work Monday. 😊

Canada used to be the last Sunday inOctober, but the US decided to push it back a week for reasons. They did the same in the Spring by pulling it up weeks. Canada followed suit because our leaders have no spine.
They should just dump the whole thing because it has become a 24 hour world and Daylight Savings time is not needed anymore.
Mexico has it European way too… 😛👻

Originally I am from Russia, and there they had some crazy ideas about daylight saving recently.
First Medvedev put it permanently in place a few years back. In Russian it sounds “summer time”, I guess he did it for the how nice it sounds – SUMMER TIME! Mmmmm…
but everybody found themselves in polar night right after he did it.
In winter you would wake up and go to work in total nightly night darkness, and by 5 pm you will commute home AGAIN in the total darkness.
People didn’t see the sunlight for 5 months! People started complaining. Hell, I would, too!
Then Putin came back and cancelled that crazy sh*t and made permanent winter time. No daylight saving whatsoever. I guess it made people happier, at least they started seeing some gray light in the morning and in the evening.
Wow, I didn’t expect my little comment to trigger so much discussion!
Anyway, I’m from Scotland so on GMT now.

Love the kitchen! We are about to undergo a remodel too. Meeting with the builders next week. We are converting the garage into a small apartment so we can make some passive income in the future.

I have a question for the big dogs, I recall a while back you guys said that you had E.A’s ear at least more than you did before, anyways if we were able to put together a list for E.A (a simple list, no whining) two per person something like that. A mature list of simple things to fix or add such as walkways or fixing the inventory, etc. Would you be able to get it to them… whether they listen or not is irrelevant I guess, but maybe they would.. they did it with the flying animation across the screen. Just a thought. Thanks.
I see that The Simpsons are talking about getting rid of Apu. I am very disappointed that they are caving in to a couple of perpetually aggrieved malcontents. Never thought that they would cave in to PC culture. Every character on the show is a stereotype or caricature. It’s comedy folks.

Hot! Damn hot! And going to be even hotter! Had some really hot weather this week (30°+C/86°+F) and tomorrow is finally recast to be 41°C (105.8°F) and this is only early spring?!?! But fortunately on Tuesday it cools down and Wednesday to Friday is around 13°C (55.4°F) with a good chance of rain. Hoping all my plants survive until the rain but not sure I will! 😄 Played a lot of tennis on Friday and Saturday and after melting and getting a little sunburn I now want to win the lotto so I can build an indoor court that is air conditioned! If the South Carolina winner of the mega millions reads this please feel free to build it for me! 😄😄😄
Had a very busy day pottering in the garden and doing household chores. It was crazy to do it given the heat but I had some plants that desperately needed to be planted so had no choice. Hoping some of them at least will survive because it’s the worst weather for it but it had to be done… 😞😄
The event continues smoothly with my children now earning me a few extra bonuts. Considering how many rickety bridges and mob crowds I would like to craft every donut will be useful! I’ve got better at keeping my kids from running away but they still try to push their luck and escape 😄 Because most people are more organised than me and are already designing their Halloween areas I thought I would post a pic of levitating pumpkins and the Spooky House witch (hint: look carefully at the broken roof…) in case it is useful… I cannot claim credit for coming up with levitating pumpkins but also have no idea from whom I borrowed it so can’t give them the credit but thanks to whoever it was! 👍😄😄😄

They aren’t actually levitated, it’s just the shadows of the bats below the pumpkins that make them appear that way.

I have seen the Stardust Drive In be active twice.
Once during the Quest, and then it was active a second time.

If LT Smash is close by he buys his doomsday supplies there (1 hr task). Not sure is other characters do the same.
I use Weird Al Yankovic on his 12 hr Get Inspiration task. Move building that he is in next to Drive In to get him there.
I had the drive in animate twice over the last week with the first time being Countess Dracula doing her 24 hour task and the second time from Were Milhouse also doing his 24 hour task but it only animated for a few seconds because he went to other buildings.
