Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So typically when it comes to a Mystery Box I lay out all of the details for each box in a separate post, however, Black Friday brought us SIXTEEN total boxes and a whole lotta stuff inside of each one! So to do an individual post on each box seems a little crazy, at least to me. (especially since it’s nearly Thanksgiving and I’ve got a ton of stuff to prepare)
So rather than do my typical Mystery Box post, for each box, I’ve decided to do two big posts. Each post will cover 8 boxes, their contents will be linked to a previous post and next to each item I’ll include the original donut cost (if applicable). This will help you get a sense of what’s inside and what the value of each item is.
Since you can’t pick and choose what to buy from each box, you’ll have to make your own decisions based on what you like/want and what you can afford to spend. Hopefully, the linked posts (and original costs) will help you make that decision.

I got: ginger and amber, anger Watkins, Lucius sweet, shary bobbins, shauna, Sophie krustovsky, and Erik. Kind of annoying cause I want diabetty, herb, drederick and babysitter bandit but I keep getting new characters 🙁
I got all the alter egos as they were cheap. Also got Asia de Cuba, Mastermind Scorpio, the Yardwork Simulator, Princess Kashmir, Malibu Stacy and the Calibrisis. Had been wanting them. Want the Recycling Plant and Giant Robot but probably too risky.
If you tap on the POKEY link in Box 1, it will take you to a discussion from 2014.and posts by, among others, Bunny.
AND, if you tap on the name BUNNY, it will take you to her Blog which will answer questions.
OTOH, eagerly awaiting Friday for what may appear.
Be sure not to accidentally sell your token for 12 donuts, there’s no “are you sure you want to sell this” pop up message

Thank you for this post. I’m a relatively new player (my first event was Secret Agents), so I have few things that were prizes. I got Scratchy with my free token and I’m very happy. My strategy now is to buy first the boxes that cost donuts, I’ll eventually buy more donuts and earn tokens.
I’m focusing in Women’s and Youngsters, bought two of each and got Diabetty, Sophie Krustofsky, Greta and Allison (luckily two girls and one character from the Gold Box). There are good deals for new/poor players. 🙂
I don’t know the site’s reader demographic, but an ad for vaping seems a little inappropriate (yes I know characters in our game smoke a lot). I have a screenshot, but don’t know how to attach it. I would rather support the site via Patreon instead of see cape ads, which we all know are targeting younger viewers.

Ads are based on your search history, we dont set them. Everyone sees different ads based on what they’ve viewed/searched in the past. For example we recently redecorated our living room and I see ads for Modsy (a design company)…
And if you have no search history (ie recently cleaned history and/or cookies) it shows ads at random.
And, a little secret the vast majority of readers here are 30 and up.
Please be careful when stepping off that soapbox…

Had 1000 donuts saved, wiped them out emptying the youngster and women boxes, together with free gold token I’m 23 characters, 15 buildings and 7% up, happy times 🙂 For the price, can’t really go wrong with these two boxes.
Only downside is that I took a punt this morning on the imports box and got the one item I really didn’t want, the NPC pharaoh guard. D’oh.

While I’m more interested in Adult Characters / Character Building Combos? I’m noticing too many “originally was free” (and NPC’s) in these Mystery Boxes, so I think it’s stick to Kem Farming for me (continuing on Friday, taking 🦃 Day off from Tapping), because this just says “cash grab” by EA. 🤷🏼♀️

The creatures, alter egos and bronze box are a bargain at 20 donuts a pop. With my free gold token I got Duff Factory and Duff Man. I tried the creature box and got the pet shop with Jub-Jub and the dynamic lizard pair of Chirpy and Bart Junior. I also tried the alter egos box and got Astronaut Barney, Bare Chested Willie and Camera-Hat Homer. I’m disappointed there’s no quest line with Bare Chested Willie. Anyway, thank you very much for the SIB guide for Black Friday, Alissa. Your hard work is very much appreciated.

Sure, there are a few nice costumes, but it could be much cheaper, I don’t need all of them.
Thank you for putting this together! I guess it goes without saying that the boxes all offer something more than their donut price. It’s kind of overwhelming! I guess I wonder if you and Patric already have everything?! I totally want the donut factory, but $50 seems so…. painful? The worst feeling is when Homer says, “Years from now you’re going to be so glad you bought that.” OUCH and yet: 900 donuts buys a lot of really cool boxes…Kids’ box is only 40! Hard to pass up.
Nope, not everything. I actually have quite a few boxes available in my town, but they’re all full of stuff. I have all the (non NPC) characters.

My Donut Truck was in my Silver r Box, got it on my second attempt. Yeah!
My wish list is now, Milo, Giuseppe and Brutus. Unfortunately, I do not see any thing that will get me those, regardless of how many times I rol the dice.
I got Scratchy, CHUM, Equalia, Ronaldo, Burns Dragon, Wiggops, Jessica Lovejoy, Westminster Abbey, Gino, Wendell, Sherri and Terri, Greta, Allison Taylor. Spent 395 of saved freemium donuts for items worth 2199 donuts. Excellent outcome (with minor cheating to make sure I don’t get any crap items).

Minor cheating: disconnect internet, open as many boxes as you can before the Bart screen comes up, afterwards delete app data and re-download. You’ll be back in time before opening the boxes, but have the advantage of knowing which items will come in which order.
okay. I see. I didn’t know if you meant opening and closing the boxes until you see stuff you like in the first 5. All of my selections so far in both youngsters and token boxes have been from the first 5 visible when I’ve opened the box.
Well, I spoke too soon. It worked most of the time, but the last couple tokens gave me prizes that weren’t from the first 5. It worked most of the time though.
No, it’s completely random. If it worked most of the time, then that was by chance. The items in the boxes come in a predefined order. That’s why cutting off internet and warping back in time works.

Thanks so much for the update! I’m super satisfied with the Black Friday offers this year (no I won’t be spending 50 dollars). I did spend 10 dollars though and that got me 5 extra gold tokens with a few more donuts. Have most of my wishlist now thanks to this event. ^^
I only had 2 skins to get in the Alter Ego box – Gymnastics Lisa & Gorgeous Grampa. Annoyed that there weren’t questlines for either one. I was looking forward to a little something to do over the weekend.
The Alter Egos and Youngsters boxes seem like the best deal.
I really like the kids box and the creatures box. I got Sophie and plopper my first pick. Totally worth my 55 donuts. I think I’ll stop while I’m ahead. Looking forward to Christmas!
Some of my boxes were fairly empty also which were the ones I cleaned out 1st including the gold box.
Hm, this is definetly something I’ll have to debate on! There are some items that I really want to buy, but with Christmas so close… It’s gonna be hard recovering, especially since I’m not an avid farmer and haven’t been active for a while. As for now, I’ll consider buying one or two, and save the rest. Knowing myself though, I’ll probably end up buying way more than that. 😂😭
The alter ego box is my favorite! Its cheap and the bulk of whats available is stuff i want! Got devil flanders and softball burns….probably my 2 favs! Got a couple duds….but 20 donuts is no loss….just a few RTT and its worth it!

The one box that has the most is the Alter Ego. I don’t really care about skins, but I’ve wanted the cool brown house for a long time!

I wanted characters so I started with the box any given character was cheapest in, factoring in which one had fewer items in it so I had better. Chance to win. I got 2 characters I really wanted. I then got sucked in and emptied the kids box, which had 4 characters in it for me. Then decided no more spending. Ha ha. Then I looked at this post and the creatures, of which I only really wanted the dragon and I had 6 choices in the box. I decided to chance it and unlike my usual luck I got the dragon on second spin. I’m officially out now. I spent somewhere around 500-600 donuts but got 7 new characters. That’s a little less than the 90 they used to cost so I felt good about it and since town is crammed with decorations I really only spend money on characters now. This post was very helpful to gauge the risk and reward of each box!
