We’re a few days into 2019 and it’s time for our first update of the year! Not Yet Spring Cleaning, the latest mini-event in Springfield, is full of content we’ve been asking for! (Springfield U, Alice Glick, Land Tokens..to say the least!) Of course, by now, we all know that a new mini-event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with returning limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the returning Stonecutters content to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…
Because there is so much returning Stonecutters stuff I’m going to simplify this as best as possible. So it’s basically just a quick what does it do and my current opinion for each.
All Returning Stonecutters stuff leaves stores January 22nd
Stonecutter Tunnel- 60 Donuts, earns 2.5% bonus on all cash and XP. Also generates more tunnel pieces.
My Opinion: Meh. I wasn’t a big fan of this last year, and i’m still not a fan. Pass for me.
Stonecutters Lodge w/ Number 1- 140 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate NET 100 donuts. Earns $2,500, 225xp/7 days. Number 908 (Homer) comes with this as well, but you have to start working on the questline before it unlocks. Doesn’t just unlock when you buy it.
My Opinion: Premium character and premium skin for Homer. At 100 donuts ANY character/building combo is a good buy. This is a good buy.
Stonecutter Table- 120 Dounts, 60 Donut Rebate, NET 60 Donuts. (plus with this table and other Stonecutters you can get the hidden donuts…Wiggum, Homer, Krusty, and 51)
My Opinion: At 60 donuts it’s an “ok buy”. It helps to get the additional donuts back with the hidden donuts, BUT I still think it’s a bit overpriced. This is a premium toss up for me.
Number 22- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Quimby (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 2- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Hibbert (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 85- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Willie (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 29- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Burns (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 59- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Smithers (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 50- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Wiggum (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 79- 40 Donuts, 30 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for a premium character. While 10 donuts is an ok buy, I don’t think it’s worth it (unless you want all the Stonecutters) since Stu already earns premium. Note: this does NOT come with Disco Stu. Costume only.
Number 5- 40 Donuts, 30 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for a premium character. While 10 donuts is an ok buy, I don’t think it’s worth it (unless you want all the Stonecutters) since Jasper already earns premium. Note: this does NOT come with Jasper. Costume only.
Number 21- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Moe (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 12- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Lenny (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 14- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Carl (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 51- 100 Donuts, 90 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts.
My Opinion: This is a FULL Character and a GREAT Deal. Buy this.
Number 111- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for Grampa (a freemium character) at 10 donuts, good buy.
Number 67- 50 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, NET 10 Donuts
My Opinion: A premium earning costume for a premium character. While 10 donuts is an ok buy, I don’t think it’s worth it (unless you want all the Stonecutters) since Arnie already earns premium. Note: this does NOT come with Arnie Pye. Costume only.

I bought the Stonecutters Lodge and the quest “Games of Stones” started. But it stopped after Part 3. I read that it’s a 10 part quest. Is that normal? What can I do?
Stone cutter stu, arnie, and jasper aren’t in my store. I don’t own them as characters but their skins should still be available right?

Does the stonecutters lodge unlock the table?? Or do I have to get the table separately. Thks.
It’s a separate item. (Totally worth it)
Can the tunnel be placed over items like cars so they look like they’re using it?
The only problem with the skins is they do not have a full set of premium tasks unless you get the lodge. So, definitely get the lodge before you get the skins!
If you get one decoration, get the table!! It will make Stonecutter Homer, Krusty, Wiggum, and Number 51 sing the song as their default 12 hour job.

And don’t forget the one-time 10-donut bonus you get for tapping on Homer while he is singing. (You must tap singing Homer ten times in a row for the bonus).
I missed the Stonecutters event as I started TSTO with Tap Ball… I did get some skins last time they were offered, but not all as limited sprinkles (don’t KEM farm).. but I had bought that donut special last summer ( the $49.99 deal)..so I splurged.. I got the table (missed last time). So excited I did! The animation is pretty awesome as folks stated here. PLUS I did not know about the bonuts for tapping # 908! That was a nice surprise. Thanks so much for that tidbit of info! That still works! I wish there would be a 2nd Stonecutter event too.. I feel like I missed out on something special. Maybe some day?
I believe the Jasper skin also has a joint visual task with Stonecutters Homer where he chases him around with a paddle. I don’t know if it’s worth getting him just for that since it’s 16hrs and Homer is usually needed for events, but it’s pretty funny.
Thanks for reminding me. I’ll have to do that before the next event hits.
returning Stonecutters content
Great way to complete your Stonecutters Collection of Character Skins (it will definitely make you want to obtain every Stonecutter, too) and hey everything is at rebate! 👍
I still have no interest in the Stonecutter Tunnel, but I still get a kick out of the Visual Tasks at the Stonecutters Table! 😀
Just wondering if number 1 being included with the lodge can be confirmed?
It doesn’t say so in the store, and I know there are some issues with bundles when you only have part of it, so if not…
It is. You get #1, and then a quest also unlocks Homer’s Stonecutter skin 🙂
I just wish the Stonecutters all had outdoor tasks. In my opinion there isn’t a point in a skin if it just indoors. Maybe I’m missing something.
I have had the Stonecutters Lodge and Number 1 for ages, but I don’t have Homer’s #908 skin. I’ve checked his skins and it’s not there. Have I missed something?
You have to unlock Homer’s outfit with a quest… check your quest log? If there’s nothing there try storing and re-placing the Stonecutter building maybe?

I bought all skin for the premium characters, it will definitely help me to buy more KEM and they are iconic in the Simpsons.
I’ve had them all since the original run. Never use most of them. I’m one of those who likes to have all my characters doing visual jobs. So Burns, Krusty, No 54 and Homer are the only ones that ever get used.
What visual does burns have? Or did u mean wiggum?
Swim in the money pool. I don’t remember how I got the money pool
I love Burns swimming in the pool, one of my favourite animations in the game. I prefer visual tasks too, but I do sometimes use the 2h task at the Daycare because it can be convenient. No 1 is usually stuck at the Lodge.
The Pool (together with the skin for Burns) was a prize during Stonecutters. It did come back for donuts when we got SH.
I have everything apart from the tunnel. I want to buy it but I don’t know what I would do with it. The pieces seem huge and I recall someone saying that you can only build in straight lines. It would be nice to see designs from those who already have it.
I bought it when it first came out due to a mild Stonecutter obsession. I found designing with it nearly impossible and it’s in storage now. 🤷♀️
there so much you can do with the tunnel, two examples being, you can use the regular tunnel pieces as just a regular tunnel to add more variety to your town or you can use the tunnel as intended and if you want it to change directions you can just have the tunnel go behind a large object then have the tunnel resume somewhere else (the implication is that it goes under ground). it’s a really cool decoration it just needs some imagination
Or you can do what I did…and use it as a Blimp Hanger near my airport…
Weird. Stu’s and Jasper’s Stonecutter skins are showing in the store as able to buy, but I already have the skins in storage. I do not, however, have Stu or Jasper. I got the skins in the event, I think. Can’t remember. Usually, stuff you already have doesn’t show up in the store. So, check your storage before buying skins in case you’ve forgotten you have them.
I have the same thing happen for Disco Stu. I have the Disco Stu skin but not him. Yet it did not happen for Frink as I have the skin but not him.
I don’t have Jasper, but I have his Stonecutter skin from the event. The skin is showing up in my store, but it’s also in my inventory. Anyone else seeing this with their characters?

Number 51 was an instant buy, I’m keeping my donuts until Burns limo and dr Nick comes to the vault tho

I picked up all the Stonecutter items. The skins seemed like such a good deal- and then once I had all the Stonecutters I had to get the Stonecutters’ table, and then I needed their lodge/frat house, and then I thought I might as well get their tunnel…
I was very weak, and now I have to KEM farm twice as much 😝 Valentines Day will be here soon. At least, I finished the mini event super early 😁 All the Black Friday mystery boxes I bought really paid off 😁
The Stonecutter Table is one of the things that gives me greatest joy in the game. From the little song “We do, we do…” and the animation, it is simply wonderful.
And YES, Number 51 for 10 donuts!? A total steal!! Questline antics and then joins the drinking at the Stonecutters table, absolutely worth it.
Stonecutters is one of my top ever episodes – I even name all my fantasy teams that, etc. I bought up all of this content before but I still struggle to do something cool with the tunnel. I use the pieces in my airport as hangars but other than that, I haven’t devised a way I really like, and that fits with my design, to place the tunnel. It just kinda sits there in my waste space because it has a % bonus.
Oh well, just one more thing that I have to figure out what I want to do with 🙂
Hi everyone! Sorry for the off topic, but I have a problem. I got Lloyd yesterday and I’m sending him for the tasks, as usual. This afternoon I was at “15 Minutes of Shame Pt. 4”, which consists in “Make Lloyd Meet With Fans” (4h task) and “Make Springfielders Get Books Autographed” (4h). As I always do in these situations, I send all the springfielders to the task. The thing is, they all have completed the job and I have collected all the money and XP, but nothing happened. It shows the green check on Lloyd and when I tap it shows as complete, as the springfilders. When I collected the money, it didn’t show the characters coming out of the house. Now, the more curious part: when I leave the app, closing it and opening again, I can collect all the money and XP again. I can keep doing this and earn a lot of money and XP (so as donuts), but that’s not what I want. I want to continue my game!
Anyone having the same problem? Any suggestions on solutions?

If you store the house where the characters are stuck, that should end the cycle.

This happened to me during black Friday, so I managed to get every single thing in mystery boxes thankss to instant cash/xp
It seems to be a common glitch when you send all Springfielders for one of the tasks.
Just store the building (or a building that will store one of the stuck characters) and that should fix it.

Another plus for buying the Arnie Pye skin is that if you keep him in it, you can keep his flying tasks off the screen.

Do the additional tunnel pieces earn 2.5% bonus as well or just the first tunnel? I assume not, but haven’t bought it yet, due to your advice…it’s a meh for me too, unless there is more bonus available.

Grabbed #67 because the last time the stonecutter costumes were available this was the only one that i could not buy. Likely because I didn’t have Arnie Pye. I still don’t have him, but was able to buy the costume this time to complete the collection!

It bummed me out a little that these came out in this non-Stonecutters update, because I secretly hoped they would somehow come up with enough new items for a mini-event (like more animated tasks in their robes and a building or three)…
If the Superheroes can get 3? 4? 10?
…I would think the Stonecutters could get 2…
