Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday, March 26th) marks the end of the Classless Reunion mini-event! So, if you haven’t already, finish up that prize track, purchase your last few premium items, and be prepared to see the mini-event leave our games tomorrow morning! (and hopefully, something new arrives in its place)
A quick note on the Yearbook Mystery Box: I’m not sure if this will be sticking around after the event or not. There never was an end date in the files for it, and last week they removed the countdown timer associated with it. I don’t want to tell you it’s sticking around only to have it disappear, and I don’t want to tell you it’s leaving only to have it stick around. So honestly, I can’t tell you what’s going to happen with it. You’re going to have to use your best judgment when it comes to going for items in the box…
What are your overall thoughts on the Classless Reunion mini-event? Have you enjoyed it? Or did you feel like it was a bit lame? Where have you placed the prizes? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
P.S. Don’t forget your showoff submissions are due tonight at 8pm ET. Show us your favorite parts of Springfield!

After spending 3030 donuts on 101 items, I have finally emptied the Yearbook Mystery Box. The event itself was good since it brought back the young characters at a great price and the items looked good by the high school.
End of the event but yessssssssss the yearbook is still there!
Really? Mine went away. 🙁
I found it next to the premium Burns mystery box after the end of the event 🙂
I enjoy mini-Events but this was the first any Event I skipped through the dialog in the 5 years I have been playing. Perhaps I have finally hit burn-out. I also ceased farming the Dump.
My luck with the yearbook was disappointing. I got too many decorations and not enough characters. There were two characters I got where one questline doesn’t work and the other doesn’t start. I also got a couple of one-off characters that I don’t even remember. So yeah, I was bummed.
I was thrilled to get Prairie Maggie, though. Maggie is my favourite Simpson and that skin was the only Maggie item in the yearbook as far as I could tell.
I’d like to see an event based on last week’s episode. You could have the Bossy Riot girls as characters and you visit your neighbors and spray their towns with pink goo.
The event itself was dull, the yearbook mystery box was great!
I’m almost completely out of cash and down to my last dozen donuts. If it sticks around long enough to take a few more cracks at it, great, but most of what’s left in there are skins and NPCs I don’t care about too much.
Ehhh… didn’t turn out too bad for me.
Ended up getting Ronald Reagan, Leopold, the Space Coyote, Lloyd the Prepper, the Wiccans, and Dave Shutton, plus a bunch of other crap I didn’t want… lol.
The mini-event was pretty meh, imho, but once again EA did a good job with the dialogue and animation design. I am in full agreement with everyone saying the mini-event format has been overused to the point where a major event – NOT another multi-event – is sorely needed.
Ebron makes a good point with her theory about the Yearbook Mystery Box as a possible consolation prize for the many many who suffered through the rollback glitch and lost content.
For those of us who are completionist longtime players, the Yearbook held little content; things that I had been missing (like the Gorilla Balloons, for eg) have returned in recent years’ events, so most anything I was missing had been offered before the Yearbook showed up. For me, the Yearbook Mystery Box held only 2 items: Hi-Glow Waste Barrel and the Itchy Balloon (of which I had multiples already.) It just made the mini-event even more lacklustre and boring than it was already.
As Alissa stated in various posts, this event was all about the Yearbook Mystery Box. The mini-event content and gameplay was about Grade C level.
They need to take this Yearbook mystery box away…..I got ADDICTED! I couldn’t stop refreshing the five choices to find the perfect box…..I spent nearly all my in-game cash to get donuts the bloodmobile/rat trap truck way, and I got like 20 new characters but I just need to STOOOOOP refreshing and stop spending donuts! I loved getting so much new stuff but now I need a break! So happy to finally get the Heavenly Swingset and Jesus though, I’ve been wanting that for AGES!
Same here. I’ve been farming like the Amish over here. If it leaves, that’s fine. I have plenty of quests, characters, and new buildings to digest.
If it stays, well there are probably less than 10 things left I want so I’ll just grind a little more.
Either way, it’s been a lot of fun.
I noticed that if you go to the premium section of the store (ie, where you go to buy regular mystery boxes) and scroll right to the end, the yearbook is accessible there with no timer. So even when the event menu disappears from the store, there should still be a way to access the yearbook. Maybe? Perhaps? I dunno.
The way things roll sometimes I wouldn’t be surprised if it stays, only for an urgent patch to be released next week that removes it! 🤦♂️🤞🤷♂️
I am glad you pointed out where you found this, as the Yearbook completely*disappeared* from the store as soon as I completed the event! I checked several sections for it, but didn’t find it until I saw your post…hidden in the premium section. Wild.
I hope we’ll be returning to regular events next. I’m sick to death of the mini events.
Blame the Council of Nicea….
They were the folks (in 325CE) who came up with the recipie for when Easter falls, and it is almost as late as it can get this year 🙂
I suspect there was too long a gap to fit a full Easter event after the last mini-game.
But since it means that I turn 60 at the Easter Science Fiction Convention (and then retire 🙂 ) here in the UK, I’m not complaining!
Went back to the yearbook to see one last time if there was anything else I wanted🤔…nope. Settled on three things last week, tho, so at least it wasn’t a wash. I’m glad so many tappers are pleased with their purchases…nice to see so many happy campers. 🎁😄🎁
I kinda wonder if this offering wasn’t partly predicated by all the forced rollbacks last year, where so many folks lost lots of content and were never adequately compensated. If so, it was a smart move by EA and earned them a lot of good will. Good job, EA.👍
I do hope the next event is a bit more inspiring…keeping my fingers crossed.😁🤞
I threw in one last pitch and got the Slaghold and Home of Springfield Bob sign for 60 donuts (even though all my Outlands is in inventory, an event I neglected to play) There’s still a few items I want: Ye Olde Off Ramp Inn, dodgeball court and Turn Your Head and Coif. I wouldn’t be upset with Big Butt Skinner balloon and the yellow submersible. The rest as Patric says is stuff I’ve passed on over and over.
I think EA may brilliantly sprinkle in more things they left out (for me- Mrs. Scratchy) so we’ll jump at the 20% chance to get the character we passed on earlier at a discount. Diabolical EA, you have my grudging admiration.
I’d like to thank EA (thanks EA!) for bringing to the Vault
Coach Krupt w/YMCA
Lugash w/Lugash’s Gym
Lurleen Lumpkin w/the Beer-n-Brawl
You keep offering Vault Discounts? I’ll keep spending sprinkles! 👍
Is the Mini Event over already?🤣
I liked the event! Any idea about what might be coming next? And how soon?
Hello! Any thoughts on what might be coming next? And how soon?
I suspect that the mystery box was/is a last ditch attempt to maximise income for Fox, EA et.al. before it all starts going to Disney!
The yearbook mystery box has been a great opportunity to hoover up missed premium characters and buildings from past events, but some of character/ costume combo I’ve picked up I’ve been unable to complete quests due to missing something, i.e Little helper Ralph.
Also begs the question what will appear on Black Friday.
Question is will the game still be around by Black Friday ?
🙄
Also really bored of the mini event format and hope they change it up next event. The one saving grace is the loads of stuff in inventory that can keep me with new design material for many moons to come.
Still debating the photo booth with Artie and the sculpture garden for 150 sprinkles. I want it but I think it would be really hard to incorporate that and the dance floor- 2 disproportionately large decorations into the HS schema. What to do, what to do….
Ended up pulling trigger at last minute.
Greetings from, for the first time in ages, a sunny UK.
The mystery box looked daunting at first, so many shiny things, but when I did a refresh and in it was: Sarah Wiggum, Herb Powell, the babysitter bandit (and a combine harvester and some sort of building) that made life A Lot easier. One hundred and fifty doughnuts later and Ralph had his mum and Homer had his long-lost brother. That will do nicely 🙂
I liked the mini fine, I like having basically 3 tsto status quos, no event(or finished mini), mini, and full event. And I liked the mini structure for Christmas, but I’m hoping for a real event.
And the box, well, I went KEM crazy, I might have gotten 125-150 things? 20 ish chars, 150 bonus percent. There’s 60 ish things still in there, all scraps I don’t care about.
I’ll need a week just to burn all the 24 hour Homer tasks.
I was very happy to see the Yearbook Mystery Box, especially because it offered everything that I lost from the rollback glitch, with one exception…
I’m guessing that Mexican Duffman was part of some other offer, because I lost him in the rollback, and it was not offered in the Yearbook, even though it was listed on this site as an available item. I also lost Dave Shutton, but was happy to see that he was available in the Yearbook.
I had won Mexican Duffman from the Yearbook Mystery Box as he was paired up with the Lady Duff Skin as I had neither.
The mystery box thing is a bit of a weird one. So, I avoided some of the crazy expensive character and building combos that were being offered for 300 donuts, banking on them being in mystery boxes that I can buy with farmed bonuts.
The time when I have felt willing to spend more than my usual couple of quid a month has been round Black Friday and I bought a couple of tokens to spend against the real premium items then. So now my reasoning is, everything is going to be in a mystery box and soon – why spend?
Feels like they’re moving to wind the whole thing up, TBH.
I enjoyed the event. It’s nice to have a break from all the grinding and just have a nice event with no pressure. I have enjoyed the mystery box, got lots of good things but since I play on a Fire tablet all I can do is “dump” them. I am really and truly hoping EA fixes this zoom problem for us. I have played too long to walk away but I hate just “dumping” and not being able to design.
1) I loved the Yearbook box and have spent all donuts and reduced my grind cash reserves down to ~ $45 M.
2) But I about worn out with premium the mystery box content. Only a few things left that I want.
3) It did surprise me how many questlines have 24 hr (or longer) tasks and/or tasks for huge groups (e.g. parents, Springfielders), which can seriously mess up my desire to finish quests.
I really liked this event!! EA seems to be doing a better job and I’m grateful for that 🙂 I am LOVING the mystery box!!! FINALLY GOT MY MODEL DONUT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS LOL!!!!!!! 😃 YAY!!! 🤪
You really love to use your majuscules, CAPITAL😁
There was an event? Spent so much time farming for Yearbook things it barely registered. Grinded the cash bug into the hundreds of millions, then farmed up to 852 KEMs for the past 9 days, got over 100 quests going on…
This event may be over, but the work of clearing quests and figuring out where to put everything will take a very long time.
I bet the box stays—at least for another month. EA has to be raking it in with this promotion.
I would do away with vault and instead keep adding to the rear book. Dump everything in there so that people get a second chance to buy things they missed earlier.
Although the Yearbook Mystery Box was a sweet addition, it couldn’t really cover up the fact that this event was really boring. Just like the event before. And the one before that. And the one before that. And the one before that. And the one before that. In my opinion the last good (or for that matter: real) event was Treehouse of Horror XXIX, almost half a year ago… so for the next event(s) I’m not just hoping for more and more content, but to finally see some FUN back in town.
There’s no sauce on the steak,
There’s no cheese in the cake,
There is no spring in Springfield…
Thanks a lot, Alissa. This mini-event was meh, i.m.o., but as it has already been said, this was never about the event per-se: the real M.V.P. is the yearbook.
This must have been the first mini-event that I almost struggled to complete: all the currency-gaining characters were always occupied by a quest from a yearbook prize (dumb as it may sound :D)
I liked this event and the mystery box, increased my % and character totals, found it fun to do and took it at an easy pace, had over 20 quest lines to complete, placed all my building were i could and will gradually redesign, happy tapper 😁
