Should I Spend Donuts On Teenage Smithers and the Malibu Stacy Fan Club?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

TSTO is back baby!  We’re FINALLY getting on, what feels like, a somewhat normal update schedule!  Praise Jebus! The theme of this multi-event?  Simpson Babies. Of course, an all-new mini-event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Teenage Smithers and the Malibu Stacy Fan Club to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this pretty in pink combo to your town…

Donut Cost: 150 Donuts

5×7
Earns:
$135,15xp/4hrs

Consumerism +20

WDTCF?: Teenage Smithers: Treehouse of Horror XXIII” S24, E2 (Bart & Homer’s Excellent Adventure)
Malibu Stacy Fan Club: “Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy” S5, E14 (I don’t know if this building is ever actually shown in the show, or just implied (as Smithers is the president of it))

Leaves stores August 28th, 2019

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a special premium rate (only Act 3)
-4 and 12hr animated tasks
-Club is animated when in use lights on.
-Teenage Smithers will use Fan Club for tasks.
-(Big) Smithers has a permanent 4hr task at Fan Club, Catalog Malibu Stacy Collection
-Comes with a (short) questline

Cons
-Only helps with Act 2 currency
-A young version of Smithers
-Not voiced
-Both animated tasks are performed outside the Fan Club.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Like just about everything else with this event, it’s fairly priced by today’s TSTO standards for a building/character combo.  It’s not a bad buy, it’s average compared to all of the other items.  Plus the Fan Club will go well with other Malibu Stacy items.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up (almost instantly).  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…

Teenage Smithers’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Get Unstuck from Locker 1hr $105, 26xp Springfield High School
Record StacyCon Promo 4hrs $260, 70xp Outside/Visual

Run Through Many Checklists 12hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual
Run StacyCon with an Iron Fist 24hrs $1000, 225xp Malibu Stacy Fan Club/Springfield Convention Center

I’ll have the full dialogue of his questline up later on, but for now here’s the Turbo Tappin’ version of his very short questline…

  1. Guess I’m the only one not excited by this. I did get the little burns tho 😁

  2. I’ve placed it near HQ and the Dream House. That way he could look out the window and see all things Stacy. I still need to decorate the area, though.

  3. I´m sorry but I hope it´s ok since this is an should I buy post.
I know there already is an old post for Peta and Pita, but I was more wondering about now, seeing as the game seems to have slowed down a bit recently etc. Should I pick them up? I bought everything else already so that´s not an issue, I just feel like I want them only because they are “new” charachters, not because I actually like them.

  4. Smithers is my absolute favorite so this was a must-buy for me, haha. It’s the most donuts I’ve ever spent on anything but it was definitely worth it!

  5. Heads up on the last prize for act 3.

You will need BGM. I just got to the final level, but about an hour before that I sent him on a 12 hour task 🤔.

I had him previously, so he wasn’t a prize for me here.

If I pass for now, it’s because I am enjoying the rewards from the new Mystery Box for 40 🍩’s per chance (that’s a bargain for me!)
