While we wait for Halloween to finally hit…we’ve been given the OK to share SOME spoilers with you guys. Info is below, so if you don’t want to know…don’t click below…
UPDATE: The update has hit the server, but it’s still not available in the app store as of yet. Give it about an hour or so, needs to get approval from iOS, Android, and Amazon before it shows up as an update.
SPOILER ALERT!!
Note: New information appeared in the event files that was not in the info packet sent from EA. In addition to the 600 donuts for new THOH event content, you’ll need about another 800 donuts for additional items not directly related to THOH. So if you’d like all NEW content for this event you’ll need 1400 donuts…
Storyline…
Kang and Kodos are ready to get their tentacles dirty, by summoning villains and monsters from other universes to do their dirty work. They’ve tried all their own ideas, now it’s time to steal from everyone else’s.
However, their multi-verse portal tech malfunctions and anyone can pass between universes. Kang and Kodos are in over their heads and must enlist the help of unlikely allies when the Rigellian Devil comes to Springfield.
Act 1 Synopsis…
Kang and Kodos open a portal to alternate universes and send a call to the worst of the worst to join them. To their dismay their call is answered by the C-list of Doom, villains who’ve been defeated or that are low level threats. Just as it seems all hope for world domination is lost, Zia Simpson comes to Springfield and uses the Ultranet from the future to send a call to real monsters and villains.

I’m glad there’s something for Halloween, but these multi-events are not my favorite thing.
I’d like to see something completely new, but it’s just wishful thinking at this point.
But new characters and buildings to add to my town is still cool, so I’m a happy guy.

I’ve updated this post with it, as now that I can see the files it’s part of act 1.
Not in the event packet information was a new gil deal. You’ll need an additional (roughly) 800 donuts for the gil deal. So you’ll need 1400 donuts total if you’d like to purchase all NEW content. (again this was not in the info packet, so I had no way of knowing this until the files hit the server)

I’ve only done a Gil deal once. The deal remains available for a few days, right? I’m not going to have enough donuts for it by tomorrow.
I’m sure we will hear neverending “there’s no crafting!” (sorry, we haven’t had that since 2018! it’s not coming back for 2019 when we get a Mystery Box to spend sprinkles at instead!) …. and as much as I miss crafting Buildings? It’s ok to accept this 2019 format – ’til EA changes it! 🤣
I DO miss visiting Neighboreenos (ok, I’m in agreement over not sending monsters, or not toilet papering homes!) but heavens to Betsy! You can’t visit anyone without getting the Bart Simpson Screen of Death! (I get it! EA doesn’t want to fix certain glitches in the Game App!) 👎
So, thanks Alissa for dropping some spoilers (and putting up with TSTO Addicts who got to vent their frustrations – including me!) I’m sure an update in Google Play will appear sometime today (last time it was at 6:00 pm PST), an later at Apple’s App Store (don’t ask me about Kindle! I got the impression that EA ignores anything from Amazon)! Now bring on the extra dimensional silliness! 😀👍

No. Can only guess at some point today, late afternoon/early evening eastern US time. But it won’t launch (likely) until tomorrow. So you may see if for download today in the app store but Halloween won’t actually start in your game until tomorrow.
However, this is only a guess.
Any chance I’ll finally be able to get Kang? I got Kodos a long time ago, but have never seen Kang offered,
I’ve no doubt Kang will be available somehow and might even be free. A while back there was an Xmas event centred on them and I got both turn up which was a nice bonus,
I’m so excited. I hope we go back to the grand time of tapping Little Monsters in town, having things to do during the events, maybe even have a reason to visit other people’s towns again, you guys member those kinda events?? I member.

So the notes say all 4 acts, BUT that’s happened before. So I’m waiting to see the actual game files so I can make a better assessment. Of course we won’t know for sure until Act 2 hits, BUT looking at the game files will allow me to make a better-educated guess.

I’m assuming the premium character will be 150 sprinkles? You suggested to have 600 for premium, and a 4 week event with 1 premium each week would be 150 * 4 = 600. Safi doesn’t return my calls, so not sure if my math is correct :-P.
Also, somewhat related, I farmed some BMs and got like 45 donuts. but an hour later when I logged in, it appears that my donut count is back to what is was before farming. Has this ever happened before? It’s not like the game crashed so I couldn’t collect XPs (well, it did that too, lol). Is EA working to prevent farming? Just curious!

Thanks. I’ll do that in the future when I’m 100% sure…this time, it just seems like I lost it, but I cannot confirm. I’m definitely keeping tabs from now on. I wonder if EA wouldn’t reimburse since the donuts were of the Farm to table variety? Also, I wouldn’t want to give them any ideas of shutting down the farming industry, lol. But again, thanks for the advice moving forward.

Make sure to go to neighbors before exiting game after color ting donuts. Don’t necessarily have to but I stopped losing donuts by doing it. I think it’s the save rate / WiFi strength of your device. Going to neighbors forces a save
