UPDATE: The update has hit the server, but it’s still not available in the app store as of yet. Give it about an hour or so, needs to get approval from iOS, Android, and Amazon before it shows up as an update.

Note: New information appeared in the event files that was not in the info packet sent from EA. In addition to the 600 donuts for new THOH event content, you’ll need about another 800 donuts for additional items not directly related to THOH. So if you’d like all NEW content for this event you’ll need 1400 donuts…
Storyline…
Kang and Kodos are ready to get their tentacles dirty, by summoning villains and monsters from other universes to do their dirty work. They’ve tried all their own ideas, now it’s time to steal from everyone else’s.
However, their multi-verse portal tech malfunctions and anyone can pass between universes. Kang and Kodos are in over their heads and must enlist the help of unlikely allies when the Rigellian Devil comes to Springfield.
Act 1 Synopsis…
Kang and Kodos open a portal to alternate universes and send a call to the worst of the worst to join them. To their dismay their call is answered by the C-list of Doom, villains who’ve been defeated or that are low level threats. Just as it seems all hope for world domination is lost, Zia Simpson comes to Springfield and uses the Ultranet from the future to send a call to real monsters and villains.

Wailing wall is available for only $1,000, and each one gives you 2.25% bonus money and XP. Not sure if it’s a glitch or limited time, but I’m stocking up.

So I knew this event was starting this morning and put everyone on 1 hour task this morning… except Cthulhu, who must not have 1 hour task, so I put him on 24 hour.. yeah who has a 6s job? Him! Doh! I should know better! 🙁 Yes I sucked it up and paid 12 donuts to rush him.
For future reference, if you put a character into inventory and then bring it right back out, it automatically negates whatever task they were doing.

Has anyone noticed that you can scroll around the as of yet unreleased land area above Springfield Heights? Could EA be finally be releasing it? I hope so. I could use a large rectangle of land to redesign. Either expand my Christmas area or put Krusty/Itchy&Scratchy Land there.
And they could RAISE THE ITEM LIMITS…
Possibly unrelated to the rollout of this update, but has anyone else had all of their neighbors wiped out all of a sudden??? Imagine my surprise when I discovered that all of neighborinos I’ve been visiting for the last four of five years all were gone!!

Everyone should try to bear in mind:
EA has to turn a profit on this game, or they will shut it down.
With so many of us advanced so far in the game that we can farm donuts in lieu of purchasing them … it becomes necessary that those who use real money for donuts will see prices rise for premium items.
That ‘might’ be one of the reasons this new character is so pricey.
Just a thought.
There are other things they can do to make money off of the game. Words With Friends is a good model. It’s free, but if you want more in game cash to buy boosters, you have to watch a 30 second ad. TSTO can do something similar by offering extra donuts by watching videos, or decorations — or land for watching commercials.
I am disappointed that they havent fixed the crashing glitch! I thought that would be done after two weeks of ‘downtime’. But no!
I wont be spending nearly 800 donuts on one item either, i will wait for it to appear in the mystery box at christmas or whenever.
I’m so bummed. I updated the game yesterday evening, yet today there’s still no sign of being able to play the actual Halloween event (it’s currently 13 o’clock, GMT+1 time). I’ve trouble shot through the Play Store, restarted my phone and whatnot, yet nothing happens. 😩 If I lose precious time because of this, I will be angry. There’s ALWAYS something wrong with this game.
Because, as I feel like I’ve said and written a thousand times now, it doesn’t start till 10am ET. 3 hours from now.

I’m also in GMT +1 ( Scotland, UK ) The event will start at 3PM for us.
Once I slowly gained freemium Bonuts and occasionally bought some donuts. The joy of buying a premium character with all your hard earned donuts.
Now if 1400 D is the price for all the content the rate is going overboard for premium content.
EA face it, there is a big part of us getting the donuts for free. But still any part of the fans who cannot at the stage will be discouraged.
Why not opt for a 2,99 (pound/euro/dollar) package with 12 D and a premium character included? I have a feeling that could rack up some revenue.
Until that time I happily harvest RT Mobiles. 5 at a time to avoid excessive losses when the BS of D hits.
For me the BS of D mostly happens when RT harvesting, on my iPhone 6, Note 9 and Blue Stacks. Somehow I stick to the thesis that the servers know when you are raking in large amounts of XP in a short time. Otherwise I hardly see the BS of D during regular gaming and designing.

I don’t know anything about sounds at loading that are out of place… nothing like what I’ve read in some of these posts at all. My iPhone 8+ runs the game like a champ. I DO get the Bart screen of death a lot, but in my case I’ve spotted 2 reasons
1) my phone likes to enable WiFi 2 or more times a day when I do not have home WiFi… so I have to slide up, turn it off ~AGAIN~ and then it usually works fine again
2) I’m only rocking around 2 bars at best and always figured that my connection is likely unstable as a result.
I’m likely to get a signal booster or maybe give in and get actual home WiFi, but until I do, I’m kinda stuck with my aforementioned situation. Not unbearable by any stretch, but admittedly annoying at times.
Even if you sorted finding a network mast with a full-bar signal and lightning speed WiFi right outside wherever EA keep their servers it’ll still kick you out at times.
I’ve had days recently where I’ve seen Bart twice and others where it’s twice a minute – crash, reload, crash before you ask – and there’s no difference in anything at my end.
Hence…IT’S EA’s SERVERS. I have been saying it for weeks. But, instead, people want to go to conspiracy theories and their own “if I only don’t do this…” conclusions. But, nothing you or I say is apparently going to change people’s minds.

I don’t care whether all of us TSTO players are Donut farming or not, EA is INSANE if they think that we will pay almost 800 Donuts for the TSTO version of “God”. I know that there are a lot of premium players out there (myself included) who would love to add that character to the game, but that character is not worth that Donut price, not worth the time that it takes to farm that many Donuts, and not worth the real money that some premium players will foolishly spend on that amount of Donuts. It would be more worth it if the character was free to unlock when a player buys the 2400 Donut Pack.

I’m so pumped for the event to start! Halloween has always been my favorite event in the game! I’ve been busy cleaning up and decorating my Halloween village. Even making a corn field with the water tower from the outlands mini event in the middle of it. It looks so creepy with the crows on the water tower!

That’s a lot of mother loving donuts. I’m a whale, but apparently a small one 😂 Will be very interesting to pick and choose, because 1400 donuts is about $75 if I’m eyeballing correctly. Tho I’ve spent $75 on dumber things than a game that greatly amuses me and gets three logins a day, I suppose!

i’ve never seen a game treated as badly as ea does with tapped out and the login error. for almost 2yrs it been part of every event. sometimes an event isn’t needed for it to happen to me. it’s been the past 3wks & i’m so sick of their useless troubleshooting when the problem is their end. i’ve changed my password in hope that will work many times with no luck. i hate this game. i hate it so much all due to the login error. i’m so sick of looking at that blue screen. normally reinstalling the game every 4hrs to play it would get around the login error but the almost 1gb it has to use to do so which no longer takes 30mins to install but had been going for over 2hrs & that’s using high speed wifi. this game is ridiculous, i used to love it. i love the simpsons. but i despise this so much now. that error is so dumb. i hear the keyboard clicks & the login error pop up click in my head. i’m done, i’m finished, tapped out is a joke. i’ve stuck this out through so many issues & no content updates, put money into it & the return i get is that goddamn login error screen. ea has made me hate this game & i’ll never forgive them

I am sorry for your frustrations (you need to take a screenshot of this and send it to EA at their Twitter and Facebook for TSTO!) 😢
Common problems are old Android OS (anything older like 7.0 Nougat) not getting supported …. and the amount of memory needed (use a micro SD card to increase your phone / tablet to have plenty of ROM space – a good 8 Gigs of empty is nice). Older phones / tablets with only 2 Gig of RAM? Not going to cut it! You need at least 3 Gigs, or more, or else you will eventually not be able to enjoy anything on your device. 😟
So, please feel free to try again with TSTO (yeah that Bart Simpson Screen of Death is still happening) when your device is working (FYI I’d stop using an Amazon Kindle, but that’s due to all the ‘no bueno’ with EA not really supporting their OS!) or when you have a new device. 🙃
my phone has 31gb free, is up to date & the game is only ever the login screen. thanks for your reply but i honestly couldn’t care about tapped out any longer. ea are the butt of many jokes within the gaming community, for example the sims 4 launch & their support is pretty bad but the fact that their tech team has allowed the login error for so long & that it’s a weekly persistent since december 2017 is bad business. my true feeling towards the game now consist of very hateful thoughts & words that cannot be used here. i’ve deleted the game & not installing again. even if the game works again, a few days later the login error returns. EA = Everyone Avoid

It’s not working for me. It made me download the updates before it switched to the Halloween graphics then I deleted and re uploaded and got the Halloween logo and background but with everyone free there’s no storyline to click or anywhere to start. Is it a glitch?
