Bug Alert: Seeing a bunch of reports from you guys that the option to buy $19.99 worth of donuts is either missing or broken. By broken, I mean…you can buy it and spend the money but you’re not given the donuts. If this happens to you contact EA.
What I can tell you is, it looks like there’s going to be a donut bonus offered with the $19.99 Truckload of donuts during this event. That may explain why it’s missing or you’re having problems with it.
Note: The in-game instruction boxes and prize box says items leave November 13th. However, the files say November 19th is when the event ends. I think it’s some dialogue they forgot to change. It looks like this event was originally supposed to launch last week (like we all thought) and end on the 13th. But something happened and they pushed it back a week. They changed the files to indicate the new end date, but forgot to change the box dialogue. (Because the store timer is still counting down 28 days…which is November 19th…)

Halloween has finally arrived in our pocket-sized Springfields! With Kodos and Kang running the show it’s hard to know if this event will be all tricks…or treats for Tappers!
We’re back to multi-events for this one. So love them, or hate them, they’re still here. So let’s all try to make the best of this…(I’ll have more thoughts in my next musings post…)
Anywho….things kick off with some 6s tasks for Kodos, Kang, and Cthulhu which means…yes, if you don’t have Kodos and Kang you’ll get them at the start of this event. Also, this means, this THOH event is a continuation of the Cthulhu’s Revenge mini-event. Which is kinda cool..at least to me.
After you’ve completed these initial tasks you’ll kick off THOH XXX Week 1…
First, remember this was an app store update available for download yesterday (Tuesday 10/22). So if you haven’t already done so, and you don’t see the Splash Screen above for your game, head to your app store and update TSTO. You may have to search the store for Tapped Out, as it doesn’t always appear on the update list initially…
And here’s the event synopsis from EA…
Kang and Kodos are ready to get their tentacles dirty, by summoning villains and monsters from other universes to do their dirty work. They’ve tried all their own ideas, now it’s time to steal from everyone else’s.
However, their multi-verse portal tech malfunctions and anyone can pass between universes. Kang and Kodos are in over their heads and must enlist the help of unlikely allies when the Rigellian Devil comes to Springfield.
Now on with the update…
We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.
Just like every large event since Christmas 2018, this is not your typical Major Event. And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons. And some people’s pro will be someone else’s con.
As always, I just ask that you have an open mind, and reserve judgment until we’re into the event. It’s 4 weeks long (and remember for the past few years we’ve been complaining that events that are 6 weeks plus are just too long). It should be fairly easy to complete. You’ll unlock a bunch of new prizes. No crafting to grind through. Just have some good old fashioned TSTO fun. And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!
As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s tasks for Kodos and Kang. Once completed you’ll start the Operation Clogged Drain questline, which is the week 1 story to follow. This is how you’ll unlock the Week 1 (Act 1) prizes.
Same Mistakes, New Plan

Cthulhu: Sorry, my desire was to destroy all life on Earth, but the humans reconnected me with my saltwater spawn.

Kodos: That’s beautiful… and weak! You’re an embarrassment sometimes.
6s Tasks for Kodos, Kang, and Cthulhu
Kodos: I throw up my tentacles. I don’t know how to recover from this.
Cthulhu: That’s because your plan is all wet. When your toilet is clogged and you can’t fix it yourself, you call a professional.
Kang: What does destroying the world have to do with our ship’s plumbing problems?
Kodos: I get it… Earth is our ship’s toilet!
Kang: And the clog was me?
Kodos: The clog is Earth too. We need to hire a professional to destroy it!
And this triggers the entire story premise for each act…
(and yes, just like I did for the past multi-events, I’ll be posting full dialogue for this one before each week is over)
Although I mentioned this yesterday, once again here’s the synopsis for Act 1…
Kang and Kodos open a portal to alternate universes and send a call to the worst of the worst to join them. To their dismay their call is answered by the C-list of Doom, villains who’ve been defeated or that are low level threats. Just as it seems all hope for world domination is lost, Zia Simpson comes to Springfield and uses the Ultranet from the future to send a call to real monsters and villains.

Land Tiles
Because I know I’ll be asked…as of right now I don’t see anything awarding Land Tiles. Nor do I see the Golden Goose Realty coming back with this event.
This may be corrected with a patch during this event, but as of right now I don’t see a way of getting more land with this event.
I’m sure GGR will come back at some point, just have to wait it out a little longer.
Item Limits
Per Patric, they have not raised the item limits with this event. That doesn’t mean they won’t, just means they’re not raised at this moment. There have been plenty of times in the past where the limits were raised shortly after the event went live with a patch. If they’re increased we’ll let you know.

So glad I spent an hour this am and bought sooooo many @1000. My bonus went from 460% to over 7000. Wish I’d bought more!

They updated the game around 5:15PM EDT/2:15PM PDT and.now the Wailing Wall is 50 Donuts. Hopefully, everyone bought a ton of these like I did to increase their XP Bonus.
They’ve patched the wailing walls to cost 50 donuts each. Luckily I was able to get a few before the update, took my bonus % from 400 to just over 5000.
How is everyone buying all these wailing walls? With the 13k limit, I only managed to get my bonus up to around 2300 before I was unceremoniously thrown out of the ability to lay anything else in my town.
I came across one guy who says he tapped out at 16k. Perhaps there is a new limit and they are rolling it out slowly?
I don’t know my final tally, but I went up about 2200%. But I’ve never even been close to the item limit in my game. (even after all those walls I still didn’t get a warning)
The Wailing Wall does increase XP Bonus. Raised mine big time with little land area used. Thanks for the tip, especially for KEM farmers,

Same. Was glad to have something to help blend House of Evil with my other Dracu la la land shops. I hope the Monkey Paw salesman has an outdoor task at the stand next to the Shopkeeper. Already happy with this event, just hope our desired rickety bridges might reappear! Maybe as returning premium content in the next few weeks…
Once again no land tokens are available as prizes but the dozen donuts seemed to have replaced them, there haven’t been any land token prizes since May. EA could’ve offered land tokens as prizes to everyone so that people who don’t have all the land can buy land and people that have maxed out on the land can exchange the land tokens for a dozen donuts or save them for when new land is opened up.
Other than that this event is pretty decent content wise with the murky rivers and autumn/fall trees apart from the obvious things like the item limit, Bart screens and lack of scary music which hopefully most of them get fixed in a patch update in the next few days.
You can use the 12 dounts to purchase a land token 😄

During the Zoo event, all the cash-costing items earned way more XP than they should have, so you could buy a ton of “Lion” statues, which were $500 from what I recall, and get a ton of XP and donuts for very little cash.

Between the tennis courts and walls you should be expecting more Gil deals in the high range (though $777,777 every 24 hours converted into donuts is a great deal, esp if you have the collider on and 5K+ XP). Then game might not be ending but it should keep people occupied and not complaining about events.
I’m up to 12067.4 as of now and I know another who has almost double that – not figured out how he got to averaging 2% for every item with the limit on what you can place, but somehow he did !?!
I’m really disappointed I can’t buy The Raven because I already have The Bad Dream House. Please EA, please consider offering him separately from the bundle deal. I am a long time player and i’ve wanted him for years!

If you got the Old Ruins from last year you should be able to get the walls from it along with other decorations.
Wailing Wall seems like a mistake, 2,25% XP for just 1000 dollars. But tried it and it does work. For now.

They fixed the “glitch” on Wailing Walls. It’s no longer $1000 per purchase, but now 50 donuts. They must have fixed it some time earlier today.

Tons donuts to burn — he has a 24hr task that generates $777K which can be used to buy rat trucks which turn into donuts.
Also — I can confirm that the wailing wall does increase XP. I just bought a bunch and went from 2.7K to 5K bonus.

Donut purchases appear broken. Bought a $20 stack to get the new character (after buying God and wiping out most of my donuts). Purchase successful but no donuts added to my total. Get help is broken too as that goes to a 403 Forbidden page.

Thank you past commenters on the heads-up! Taking advantage of it right now! I do fear that L’EA’ZY will “update” with a patch that removes this and yet NOT fix the BSOD or that bird chirping sound the plays when the game loads. But then again, I did took advance of the tennis courts that had XP Bonus from one of the earlier events this year and L’EA’ZY did not remove that nifty feature.
And it’s patched. 50 donuts now. Of course you can use farmed donuts to buy them.
I’m not sure why folks are so surprised the event needs the main characters?

Oh, and I’m still getting the Bart Screen of Broken Network, but not as often as sometimes….
The best way to avoid it seems to be -not- stacking up Donuts to collect, as that seems to be what triggers it, usually followed by the loss of any uncollected donuts.
I’m really bummed I can’t get sorcerer frink as I already have professor frink.
