Turbo Tappin’ Real Moms of Springfield: Main Questline and Prizes

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

After a very long wait, it’s finally update time in our pocket-sized Springfields! The Real Moms of Springfield mini-event made its way into our towns this morning, nothing like celebrating the MOMs of Springfield! What will happen in the new update?  Will Ruth be sent back to prison?  Will Quimby find any long lost children? Will any of this make sense?  Well, you’ll have to read the dialogue to find out!

Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes.  As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is your typical standard mini-event.  Follow the questline to unlock prizes and call it a day…until the next event.

So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all new prizes…

BUG ALERT-Real Moms Of Springfield Questline Bug (FIXED)

UPDATE 5/16/19 @ 2:40PM ET: FIXED. This has been patched.  The bug is fixed, and now the requirement is 150 Crappy Gifts, down from 200.

Update: I’ve added another workaround below…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Stopping the coverage of the mini-event rundown for a minute because I just discovered a bug in the questline.

When playing the questline in my “C” game, which does not have Mona and Nana Sophie, when you reach part 3 of the questline there is a discrepancy in the amount of currency you’re told to collect. The questline/prize track box says you need to collect 200

But in the box that pops up to physically send the characters on the task (when you hit Do It), says you only need 150

So because of the discrepancy, you get stuck on the task.  Once you collect 150 it won’t let you send more characters to collect, and you can’t clear the task/prize because that says you need 200

So this is something that needs to be patched ASAP.  Update: Same thing happens in the game where you’ll earn a Land Token instead of Nana Sophie and Mona.  It’s a bug with part 3 of the questline.

However, a quick workaround is to pay close attention to the count of you’re collecting for Part 3.  When you get close to 150, but don’t go over it, make sure you send enough characters to earn 50+at once.  This way you’ll clear the prize and won’t get stuck.  Again, this is just a quick workaround (and a royal pain) until it’s patched.

Update: Sorry guys, duh moment on my part this morning.  Just realized the other workaround to this that’s easier than the first way…Another workaround is to find the characters that earn the currency and select them via their individual task list…

Again, characters that can be sent: Marge, Lisa, Bart, Homer, Helen Lovejoy, Ruth Powers, Apu, Manjula, Sarah Wiggum and Jerri.

Hopefully, this is something that’s patched quickly!

The Real Moms of Springfield Mini-Event is Live! (Updated and Complete)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Something I haven’t said in 35 days…it’s update day in our Pocket-Sized Springfields!

If you’re having trouble getting the event to start, first make sure you’re at least at Level 15 (as that’s the requirement), then try hard closing and restarting TSTO.  This should be an in-game update, so an automatic download. Nothing else for you to do.  If you’re still not seeing it try uninstalling and reinstalling TSTO.

Yes, if you saw the news yesterday, the Real Moms of Springfield mini-event has arrived in our towns!  Not only do we get a new mini-event, but it appears that this update has also fixed the Amazon zoom issue as well!

Things kick off in Springfield with some dialogue between Ruth and Marge, followed by 6s tasks for each.  This will be followed by more dialogue and the event launch.  For the first part, you’ll need to complete a 4hr task for Marge and collect 150 “Crappy Mother’s Day Gifts”.

This mini-event ends on May 29th (10am ET, 1400 UTC)

In-Game Update: Real Moms of Springfield (Starts TOMORROW, 5/15)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, Matt Selman was right…it’s update day in TSTO!  An in-game update has hit our games, however, the gameplay is not currently live.  Which means, we’ll have to wait 1 more day for new stuff to do in TSTO.

This appears to be a pretty standard mini-event coming our way.  New characters, new skins, new buildings, new decorations, and new premium items to buy!

Again, this all launches TOMORROW, May 15th at 10am ET, 1400 UTC.

(It ends on May 29th, so 2 weeks from start time)

A couple of notes…it looks like with this update they tried to fix the Amazon issue, and I’m seeing reports of players saying it is finally fixed!  Great news!  (now if they can just fix the S10 issues, but I digress…)

Another note, those experiencing lockout issues on the S10, I believe this is only happening to folks outside the US and Canada.  Mostly folks in Europe (particularly UK), and I think I’ve seen 1 report in Australia.  Not sure if this is related to a Samsung software issue in those areas or not, since it seems to have happened after you did a software update on the S10 from Samsung.

I think, based on this content, this was supposed to launch last week (given that Mother’s Day just passed), but it appears that between the server issues and trying to (finally) fix the Amazon issue it was held up.  Hopefully, now that those issues are addressed, we’re back on the road the regular updates again!

And finally, here’s a sneak peek at the characters/skins/items arriving…

WARNING SPOILERS BELOW…I’m making an exception to my regular “no spoiler” rule because it’s been FOREVER since we had an update.  So if you don’t want to know, don’t click below…

It’s May 14th, So Where’s the Update?

Update: There is an update on the server!  Looks like it’s in-game (you should see it download in your game), called Moms of Springfield.  I’m pulling files/images now…but…

Amazon Users…it looks like they attempted to make a fix.  Let me know if you see any difference in your game.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

I assume a bulk of you are looking for information about the update that was promised by Matt Selman over the weekend…
