Update time in TSTO! Time for the first official update of the New Year! As the latest mini-event in TSTO hit our towns…this time to celebrate the New Year…? I guess Santa didn’t give EA that calendar I said they needed for Christmas.

Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini-event is your typical standard mini-event. Follow the questline to unlock prizes and call it a day…until the next event.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Fifteen days into 2020 and we have our first update of the roaring 20s! To, what should be, no one’s surprise…it’s a mini-event! What are we covering this time? The future! (insert loud groan from Patric)

Holidays of Future Past is officially live in our towns…and with it FINALLY arrives future Homer and Marge. Two characters I was incredibly annoyed weren’t included with the previous future updates.

Remember, if you haven’t downloaded the update from the app store (it hit last night), you’ll need to do so in order to see the new content. This update will remove the snow from your Springfield, so be prepared for that. And if you don’t see the update available try these steps: Hard close your App store, clear your cache, restart your device. When it reboots, open your app store and search Tapped Out.

What’s included with this event? Let’s take a look….
Note: You’ll need the Simpson family free for a 6s task to kick things off.

State of Despair Update is Live! (Updated and Complete)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The new mini-event is live in Springfield! Provided you’ve downloaded the app store update, that hit yesterday, the event should start up for you when you launch Springfield.

Things kick off by requiring you to build a Brown House. And then you’ll launch the mini event, with the first task requiring Homer to build a Mystery box, 4hrs. And you’ll need Springfielders to collect State Pasta.

I’ll be back in a bit with more info as I run through it…

A quick note about the start time. Totally my mistake guys I’m really sorry. I wasn’t thinking about time conversion yesterday, and saw 1400 and was like “ok that’s 10am et”. It’s not. Daylight Savings Time hasn’t started yet, in the US. It starts during this event (March 10th), so EA accounted for Daylight Savings in the start time despite it not starting yet. Which means, when this event ends 1400 UTC will be 10am ET, but when it started 1400 UTC is 9am ET. So what’s the point of this? Well a really complicated way to say I’m really sorry I screwed up the start time. And don’t forget, in the US, Daylight Savings starts on March 10th.

Note on the Amazon Zoom issues: Some players are reporting it’s fixed, others are saying it’s not. I think it depends on if you’re using Kindle or Fire and which version of each. But honestly, I’m not sure. I think if they fixed it on some, others may be following. If you can hold out a little longer…
