It’s officially the last day of the Red Alert mini-event, it ends tomorrow (February 2nd) at 9am ET. So make sure you finish it up so you don’t miss out! As we always do when an event winds down, it’s now time to take a look at the hilarious dialogue for this event…just in case you missed it by tapping to fast.
So here’s the full dialogue for the Red Alert mini-event main questline…
Springfield is on a Red Alert as a nuclear missile is headed their way! Can you and The General help save the day? Only time…and donuts…will tell!
Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the parts of the Panic at the Silo questline, you’ll have to earn via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.
So let’s take a look at the building and decoration prizes for this mini-event (we covered The General here), The Withstandinator, Springfield Sculpture Garden, Homer’s Bomb Shelter, and Missile Bunker…
Spending actual cash on donuts for a character is back in TSTO. This is something EA’s been rolling out over the last few years, and it’s a new bonus for actually spending cash on donuts. (instead of just farming them) Where they attach a premium, limited-time, character to one of the donut bundles sometimes in addition to bonus donuts.
And I want to be perfectly clear…you do not need to buy these characters to complete an event. You can still play this game, and complete all the tasks and prizes, 100% free. These cash-for-character items are a new type of premium currency…because donuts have been so devalued with donut farming.
This time around we’re being offered Radioactive Homer, a premium costume for Homer, for a tray of 132 Donuts ($9.99 in the US)..no bonus this time around. While it’s hard for me to sit here and tell you if you should or shouldn’t spend actual cash on the game (spoiler, I think you should always spend at least a small amount…even if it’s $.99/year on the game if it brings you joy and you want to see it continue) I thought I’d do a quick breakdown of Radioactive Homer, tasks, questline and other details you may be curious about.
So let’s consider this an abbreviated Should I Buy….
Yesterday, an app store update hit our games to remove the Holiday Whodunnit Event. And, today a brand-new mini-event started up in our towns! (as long as you’ve downloaded the update) The first new event of 2022!
You’ll need Homer and Lisa free for 6s tasks to get things started with this event.
This mini-event ends, in 2 weeks, on February 2nd.
