Top o’ the mornin’ to ya Tappers!
The wait is over…St. Patrick’s Day has hit our little Tapping Devices! (FINALLY!) More details as we uncover them (as always we’ll update THIS post with the latest on the update) but for now enjoy the green waters of Springfield!
Homer kicks off the event (in my game in auto-started) with dialogue between him and Lisa. (Bunny’s Homer was on a task and still 2 hrs left, dialog still auto-started.)
Note: It may download to your device and you’ll see green water but nothing new will happen. If this happens to you (it happened to me) hard close your app (app manger, close app) and restart it. It should trigger the event to start for you. If not, then log out, restart your device, and log back in. (This worked for Bunny’s games.)
SPOILERS below the fold for those who don’t like to know the information before they play themselves….Well we’ve waited for what seemed like forever BUT it’s finally St. Pat’s in Springfield again. AND for those who’ve waited a long time to see if items will be re-released well… YES!
Here’s the rundown of what’s included…besides the green water:
Event Scheduled to End March 25th
Non-Premium:
O’Flanagan’s Pub is BACK!
Costs $1,900, 24hr build and comes with Tom O’Flanagan!
Shamrock Topiary (Returning)
Costs $10,000 and improves Vanity
Leprechaun Statue (NEW)
Costs $25,000 and improves Vanity
Premium:
Sham Rock Cafe (NEW) 120 Donuts comes with a Yupprechaun
(more on that later but Wookiee gave us a brief Where did THAT Come from on them in his Leprechaun post)
Wishing Well is back! Costs 150 donuts and comes with the Leprechaun. 
Provides a 4% bonus to on all cash and XP.
No quests or tasks associated with the Yupprechaun. The Leprechaun has a very simple and short one that will require Cletus and will trigger once you place the Well (see below). They both award extra cash and XP. You just tap on them they give “spit out” cash and XP and then run away! Just try to see where they go or you’ll have to search all over to find them. (Or take the easy way out and store the Cafe or Well and replace it to bring them to you.)
Catch the Leprachaun
Cletus: Did a mythical creature just run across my yard? Oh miracle of creation! Brandine, get my shotgun!
Cletus: I’ve hunted raccoons, gators, possum, bargains, and briefly Nazis, but I ain’t never hunted no leprechauns.
Cletus: Scraped one off the highway once. It had tasty hearts, stars, and clovers, but I didn’t care for them horseshoes or balloons.
Catch the leprechaun by tapping on him ten times! (This will alternate between giving you XP and $$ each time you catch up to him and tap him again.)
Here’s the first part of the main quest that’s Auto-Started by Homer (THIS triggers the O’Flannagan’s Pub Build):
Training Day Pt. 1
Homer: March is here! And you know what that means: time to make my New Years Resolution!
Lisa: Didn’t you make a resolution in January?
Homer: I did. It was to stop postponing making New Years Resolutions. It isn’t going well.
Lisa: So what’s your resolution? Hit the gym? Read more? Improve your lexicon?
Homer: Lisa, what have I told you about making up words. Gym? Ridiculous. My resolution is to prepare for St. Patrick’s Day down at O’ Flanagan’s Pub so I don’t end up face down in the gutter by accident. This year, I’ll end up there by choice!
Tom O’Flanagan: And I won’t be taking any excuses like I did last year! So leave your hangovers and heart attacks at home!
Build O’Flanagan’s Pub- Costs $1,900, and a 24hr build (unless of course you already have it)
Send Springfielders to Train for a St. Patrick’s Day Beer Bash– 12hrs x10 Springfielders (earns $420, 100xp, premium characters earn $600, 150xp) Here’s a list of who can go: Homer, Apu, Frink, Hank Scorpio, Barney, Duffman, Otto, Sideshow Mel, Luigi, Smithers, Dr. Nick, Hans Moleman, Kearney, Miss. Other things NOT Event Related but in the update:
Good news for those of us trying to figure out what the heck to do with all of those Valentine’s Day items….You can NOW put the V-Day Items in Krustyland! So stick those Pink Gazebos, Fountains & Fences (among other things) in Krustyland and get them out of your inventory!

Spent like 10 dollars for the shamrock cafe does it come with a multiplier or no?
No, buildings don’t add to our bonus multipliers…unless it helps you max out your conform-o-meter. The Wishing Well will give you a 4% bonus, and the Cafe will just earn you cash and XP
You can always tap the little blue (i) before purchasing to see what you get out of an item.

This update wasn’t too bad. I wish they would give us more land in Springfield and more stuff for Krustyland.
I Had to hard close the app on my iphone, as the event didn’t start for me today but my rivers were green. but it worked no problem after that!!!
I’m very excited about using vday items in Krustyland. As a newer player I definitely dont have a fully developed K-land and was hoping it would help my krust-o-meter…. They do help your merch rating. Mine went up by 2 beach balls, meaning my overall Krust-o-meter went up by one! I’m a happy camper 🙂
i run an IPhone 4 and in order for the event to start i had to reboot my phone.
My Droid GS4 had to be rebooted too. Along with my Tablet.
I’m so excited!!!! But my objects, buildings keep disappearing & randomly changing. It actually started last night with 1 building, GulpnGo, for me. My hubby had an issue with something too…..it was spinning & flashing colors. (Very trippy….. I actually kinda liked it.).
Now several things are doing it & my awesome leprechaun statue is missing. 🙁
Are you speaking of the texture glitches we see time to time? Where something else appears in place of an object? Like a broken to pieces and parts of Moe’s in place of the beach volleyball? Or in place of a fountain? If so, I see these all the time. I think the more you add to the town, the harder the game works to read all that code, and makes for some amusing glitches. I have also had buildings just disappear in thin air. I know they are still there as a handshake or $$ appears above the blank area. Restart usually clears it up.
If restart doesn’t clear up the statue issue. Try to go to your movement screen and go to the area where the statue was and tap to see if you can pick it up and it is still there. If not, try to place an item over the spot and see if it goes “red” where the statue should be. Then check your cardboard box inventory to see if it popped in there. Let us know. (Try n grab a screenshot of your glitches and send them to TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com so we can see what glitch you are encountering.)
It sounds to me like a minor graphical glitch ” texture glitches” but nothing serous as bunny say’s I totally agree. 🙂
How to fix (pardon any typo’s)
1) Usually if you move around it fixes it’s self.
2) If not then click the edit town button bottom right of screen then move the item or pack it up/then reput back out to correct if the first option doesn’t work.
3) Hard close app or shut down device, power back on.
It will sometime’s stay on items (item’s I know are prone to this – fountains, escalators, fleet-a-pita, houses esp the 3 hr pink houses, buildings the graffiti on’es seem to be most prone as does the gulp in blows, quick-e-marts, anything that need’s tapping,, etc) for neighbors to see if you don’t correct the item (again only sometime’s I’ve seen it stay) with the step’s above. It was really bad during xmas with the white snow having it happen with presents.
I have tried everything n my game still won’t update
If you have tried the basic troubleshooting of logging out, restart/ Hard close/ uninstall and reinstall app and it still will not work. You may need to contact EA for further support.
It also depends on your device. The kindles tend to take longer in getting updates.

Everytime I try to put a v day item in krustyland my game force closes is this happening to everyone or just a glitch with the update?
What do you mean? Which Valentines Day Items? Only the Tunnel of Love is able to go in there. The rest have to be placed in Springfield.

I successfully put 9 benches in and only force closed 2ice bit everytime I try to out a fountain in it constantly force closes. It has done it like 6/7 times now…
You mean the items from the wheel. I apologize, I thought you meant the basic VD items. We are still in the process of playing around with them to see if the same issue happens when we try to place certain items. Will update you on it later. 😉
K so…to test it out against the game files, I went through them all. This is what I was able to clarify…
You can place the Cherub Bird Bath, Cherub Topiary, Fountain of Love, Love Bench, Love Planter, Lovely Fence, Lovely Flower Cart, Lovely Gazebo, Lovely Lampost, Rose Arch, Rose Bush, Valentine’s Balloons, and Valentine’s Tree all in Krustyland. I was able to place several of them all over…no force close or issues when I did.
Your game may just be having some technical difficulty. You may want to try and log out and restart your device to see if that helps.
No train or pond allowed. They have to stay in Springfield. Too bad…it would have been cool to put the train there too. 🙁
Unfortunately you can’t use the valentine pond 🙁
I had it all laid out & now have to redo some of my layout. Oh well, at least they let us move what they did. More fun in KL, which I’m enjoying 🙂

I’m SO excited they brought oflannigans pub back free of donuts! I think the way they did it was great too, just the start of the quest instead of being the quest for people who already had it 😉
For those of us that already had it…we just didn’t have to wait for it to build, we instead jumped to the next part of sending people to drink there. Lol 😉

Yay! St Pattys Day is finally here!!! This is awesome!!! I started playing after last years event so I’m soooo excited to grab up all the stuff! I almost thought about spending donuts on rushing cause I’m so excited!!! But I don’t us my donuts to speed things up…. (Patiently waiting for tomorrow to hurry up already!!!) =D =D =D

I have 2 questions:
Should I make all of my characters do the quest even though it only requires 10, as in being extra $ & XP bonus as opposed to their usual duties for that timeline?
I can buy either the café, or the wishing well, but not both, 🙁 which is the best in the long run? (I’m leaning toward the well, I think wishing wells are cool).
On another note, I am absolutely thrilled that we can use our valentine décor in KL 🙂 BIG thumbs up EA!
…and… I get to go back to work on the 26th! No cast, no surgery, just a wrist brace & exercises. Severe sprain, not broken!

So for some answers from my point of view…
I would send as many as you possibly can to get all that extra XP & $$$. You’re gonna have to send everyone on tasks anyway while you wait for the quest to finish…so…kill two birds…
Hmmmmm, for me…I like the cafe. More so as it is a cooler looking decorative item/building for me to put into my town design. It comes with a Yupprechaun that does the same as the Leprechaun in that you tap and get $$$ & XP from him. On the flip side, if you are going for bonus multipliers…the Leprechaun does come with a 4%.

Thanks Bunny! I now am thinking of putting more stuff on eBay so I can buy both, (I only really need my laptop, phone, tv, clothes and a bed) LOL 😉 I’ve pretty much set my mind on the wishing well with the 4% bonus for now though 🙂
I bought the pub and the coffee shop after the update. I had 12 characters doings the pub quest, then after going back in my Simpsons it started updating again. When it went in I noticed the coffee shop with the new character, and leprechaun statues were gone. I already restarted and loved out and back in and still no statues, coffee shop or character.
Please anyone help!
Sorry, it sounds like you had a rollback issue? If the basic troubleshooting of logging out, restarting, then logging back in does not help…I would suggest a lil more deeper restart. That would be to uninstall and reinstall the app. Let us know if that helps bring it back.
Before you do that though, and I know this sounds funny, try logging out and restarting it a couple more times. Like 3 or 4. Sometimes it takes a minute for it to kick in. So maybe wait just a lil bit before actually logging back into the game. Hope this helps. 😉
Hmm…my Homer is not available (sent him on a 12 hr quest in Krustyland this morning). I have green rivers but no O’Flanigans. Bummer. I’ll have to wait until tonight to start my build.
Homer auto starts the quest (at least in my game he did) but if he’s on a task he may not auto start it. However, you’ll need to start the first part of the dialogue in order to build/unlock O’Flanagan’s Pub. It’s part of the Training Day questline. However, you may want to try hard closing your app and restarting it to see if that triggers it. When I started it up I had green rivers but nothing else St. Patrick’s Day and no dialogue. So I hard closed and restarted the App and St. Pat’s appeared! 🙂
(My Homer was on his task and still had 2 hrs left in my A game. The dialog kicked off after a few times of logging out and restarting my device. You won’t need him right away anyway. The pub takes 24hrs to build so no worries on him being available until then.) 😉
I actually had a little freak out when I opened TSTO right now. All I saw was green water, and was like, “Oh no! What did I do! Did Burns hide nuclear waste in the water?!?!? Oh wait… St. Patrick’s Day!” It takes a little time for my brain to wake up in the morning. 🙂

Just spent 20$ irl money to get EVURTHANG! Rushed the Flannigan Pub,too. SO happy to finally have it! But, it makes me wonder: for those who have played last year and already have the pub, what happens for them?
I had it from last year…it just started the next part of the quest line. 😉
I’ve been spending so much in game money on the decorations,too. Nearly a million. Just spamming them all over. The XP you can get from placing them is ridiculously high!
More XP = quicker level up = more bonus level up games = MORE FREE DONUTS! (Assuming you’re level 38 of course…) 😀
Sounds like a very similar habit that a furry lil hopper started a while back. Lol
I wish EA would do the same for the bushes, shrubs, and trees. They are the same image and you can purchase them in Springfield or KL. IMHO they shouldn’t be specific to one place our the other. I undegrstand that some things should be exclusive to one or the other but if something is available for sale in both places it shouldn’t matter where they were purchased. On a side note I wonder if they will do the same for other holiday decor in the future. I want to bring fright fest to Krustyland this year!!!,
oooo Fright Fest I like it! I think this sets it up so in the future they can do things like that. Valentine’s Day might just be a test to see how it works out, that and SO MANY Tappers were complaining about the over abundance of items from the wheel. So this is a great way to place more things! 🙂
I understand that EA wants to protect us from selling limited time items by accident but I wish there was a way to sell them with perhaps several confirm messages. I tend to go crazy buying the freemeum limited time items because I want to make sure I have enough for whatever I decide to do with them but then after designing I end up being frustrated with having all the extras in my inventory. My ocd wants my inventory clean or at least have items in there in even amounts. I have 26 flags and it is killing me if I could just sell one or perhaps 6. I could be truly happy again.

I do understand people want the option back to sale. It is kinda amusing to me due to so many complained of the “accidental” sales that EA made a change for it. Now, people want it changed back. It’s a no win situation. Lol.
I agree. Alternatively it’d be cool if you could “gift” one (or 6 or 26 😉 ) of those flags to a neighbor. Maybe one day EA will get on the sharing things with neighbors bandwagon (similar to Candy Crush and countless other Facebook Games).
This will work out perfectly for me. The only item I want is the Pub and it’s a freemium at that! Well, I’ll have to start building when I get home tonight and can tap.

It’s actually in in game update. So there’s no download from the App Store. Just tap TSTO on your device and it should download 🙂
Still nothing. Is there an update screen when you start the game?? Because I haven’t seen that either 🙁
The usual download screen starts up…where it says Downloading update…..then the spinning donut. If it doesn’t start for you try hard closing and restarting the App. If it still doesn’t work then try to restart your device and see if that will kick start it. Sometimes the updates get stuck and don’t want to start. Let me know if that helps! 🙂
How do I hard close and restart the app? I’ve restarted my phone a few times, but that’s about it.

It depends on your phone, but you usually can go into your settings and into your app manager and see an option to Stop or close the app. This may help to hard close it. Outside of that, uninstalling and reinstalling the app is the next step if the basics are not working.

Not a problem. Not to say an update won’t hit…EA is sneaky. They have been known to drop updates in the middle of events before. 😉
I just send homer to 24 hrs task and the the screen jumped into update mode… What a bad timing!!!! Meanwhile can’t wait to see you guys update the details!!! 🙂

Just bought the Shamrock Cafe for 120 donuts. Was supposed to come with a new character, the Yupprechaun, but I don’t see him anywhere.
He should have appeared right away, just remember…once you tap on him…he takes off like a mad men. You got to find out where he stopped to try n tap him again. He is…a Leprechaun after all. Lol. 😉
Thanks Bunny. I had to put the cafe in storage and bring it out again before he appeared. I think that’s a tip I learned from you on a previous occasion. Anyway I’ve got both leprechauns running amok in my town right now. 😄

Ha! I had JUST tapped everyone from last night when it popped up. I have to admit, I “donated” O’Flanagan’s Pub and sent almost all of Springfield there (no spoilers from me). The ONLY adult who wouldn’t go there was Rex Banner!
Oh, there is also a Leprechaun tapping quest, which doesn’t seem to work (tap him 10 times). I am close to 20 times, and the counter doesn’t update.

There are more than one. The Leprechaun comes with the wishing well, if that is the one you are looking for.

Update fired up moments ago…went pretty fast…left green river…not the one in Washington state…I had just sent Homer to carry Mr. Burns for 24 hours…d’ooh!!! I don’t see anything more…may be an attention grabber to get more people aware…

Tried to store Homer’s crib but it won’t let me…which building did Burns come with?
He came with the cooling Towers. Homer wasn’t needed to be “available” to start of my dialog for the main quest. It just auto went through.
