St. Patrick’s Day has arrived in Springfield! But, with the new St. Patrick’s Day premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Shamrock Cafe and the Yupprechaun to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this Ireland inspired Cafe & Yuppie to YOUR Springfield.
Building: Sham Rock Cafe
Character: Yupprechaun
Donut Price: 120 donuts
Dimensions: 4×6
Payout: $300, 30xp every 12hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Gluttony +10
Pros:
-The only new building/character combo for St. Patrick’s Day 2014.
-Not overwhelming in size so it will fit easily in your downtown area (or anywhere in Springfield)
-Comes with a character. When you tap the Yupprechaun he’ll run away BUT first he’ll spit out extra cash! And if you follow him as he’s running once he stops you can tap him again, and again and again!
-Colorful building, brightens up Springfield!
-Bonus for your neighbors (or you if visiting a neighbor) you can Tap the Yupprechaun in a neighbors town (again as many times as you want) & earn $6 a Tap!
Cons:
-Pricey, not as expensive as the Wishing Well…but still pricey!
-No tasks or questline associated with adding the Yupprechaun to your town
-Sham Rock Cafe does not get used.
-No Animation
-Hard to find in your town, so it’s hard to Tap (initially to earn the extra $)
Final Thought:
Personally, I jumped on this one and purchased it immediately. I like the second Ireland building (even if it is fictitious) added to my town. It rounds out my St. Patrick’s Day area and fits nicely next to O’Flanagan’s Pub! The Yupprechaun is a nice little bonus addition & despite not having an tasks he DOES spit out cash as often as you like…assuming you can catch him!
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME building and once it’s gone, it’s gone…so be sure to get it before the event is over if you’re thinking about it.

Ended up caving in and buying this as I had some donuts I was saving up and well, it’s limited time XD picked this offer the week due to the gluttony rating and the fact I prefer buildings to decor. Plus I like that my friends can tap on my yupprechaun too ^_^

How much does it give you per tap? Does anyone know?
$300 & 30XP Every 12 hrs. If you have not purchased it yet, just got to the premium menu on your game (Homer Buddha) and in the top right corner of each item is the blue lil “i” click on it and it will tell you information on the item. 😉
I purchased it last night. I ment the yuppie. Everytime I click on him he either gives me $8 or 2 xp hope he starts giving me more xD

Thanks for the post! I’m still on the fence about getting the yupprechaun… Just to clarify, you can continuously tap on him and get $6 each time, with no limit to how many times you tap him? (I’m still on level 20 and always seem to be short on cash, so that would be a nice incentive to buy him.) Thanks for the help! 🙂
Yup no limit. At least not one that i’ve found. Just have to catch him first! 🙂
Oh and don’t forget…if you spot him in a neighbors town you can tap him too for some extra cash/xp ($6 at a time. Alternates tho between cash and xp). No limit on that either 🙂
Just to clarify, you can only click him every ~5-6 seconds, as after you click him he SPRINTS away, during which time you can’t click the Lep. The Well is worth 80 donuts itself due to the 4% bonus, the other 40 go to keeping the little Irishmen around 😀

Yeah that pic made me laugh really hard. I forget how i even chose this name but I use it for titles and gaming all the time now.
I was going to get it anyway, but I used it as an excuse to buy a few scratchers and see if I could win the donuts, and lo and behold I won 100 donuts on my third one! So it basically cost me three bucks. How’s that for luck of the Irish?!

We’ve got the post done and ready to go. Was going to hold off on posting it until either later today or tomorrow (don’t like to bombard you guys with tons of posts in 1 day)…BUT in my opinion the Yupprechaun is the better get. While the wishing well does give you a 4% bonus it costs 30 more donuts, only adds to vanity (easiest to max out) & it’s a decoration (that’s kinda small) not a building. So, while I brought both…if you can only choose between 1 of the St. Patrick’s Day premium items I personally would go with the Yupprechaun over the Leprechaun. Unless of course you’re like PewPewShazaam and have issues with the Yuppie not looking like a traditional Leprechaun 😉

Arrhh.
I definitely scooped up both yupp and lep leprechauns. They both make a nice addition to my game. Plus the yupprechaun does a little victory dance when he’s done fleeing.
