Hey there Hoppereenoos….WHOA WHOA WHOA…Watch it there mister! PUT THE STUNNER DOWN!!! Easy. Easy now. I am NOT the enemy. I WILL not give you eggs if you zap me. SERIOUSLY!! Don’t make me go get the Crazy Bunny Lady.
So what what was I doing? Oh, yah…The Bunny Stunner. It…Huh? Awwww ***blush*** Thanks, but no…I am NOT talking about me (for once. Lol. Thanks for the compliment though alunited1961.) I am talking about that fun lil device they added into our games to helps us knock out several bunnies at once.
“How on earth does this thing work? How do you get the electricity to start up and the bolts to fly out? HELP??!!!”
No worries my Hoppereenos, we are here to help out. First off, you need to activate the Bunny Stunner/Zapper. To do this go to the lil Bunny Stunner icon in the top right corner of your screen.
Once you tap on it, the pop up “explaining” how to use it will appear. Tap OK and you have it ready.
Now comes the part that trips people up. So a few pointers first. Myself, I have the touch screen sensitivity turned down low AND a screen protector. What does this mean? It senses my fingers enough to play the game with a simple tap, but may have a lil harder time picking up on the amount of sensitivity needed for the Stunner/Zapper. So this will be a lil trial and error til you get down just how soft or hard to push to get it to pick up. You may have to adjust YOUR device sensitivity.
Next suggestion, try and tap when you are really close to at least one Bunny. NO NOT ME!! Lol. Just look for a group of bunnies in your town to try it on.
Press one finger to your game and hold it there. If it picks up on your finger, you will see lightning bolts start to shoot out from underneath. DO NOT LET GO!! (Once you let got the Stunner/Zapper will stop.) As the lightning bolts continue to shoot out…move your finger across the screen.
The screen will adjust and move along with you. You can cover all areas of your town, getting the bunnies you might have not even seen hiding behind buildings and decorations (you can also “hide” all your buildings and decorations to see them if you want).
It is kinda funny because you all of the sudden see a lil flicker of the electrocuted image or an egg pop out (the eggs you get will vary depending on the Player Color you are).
OH NO!! POOR BUNNIES!!
No worries, they are just fine. They just burrow back to the basement and will come back again and again and again.
If you are a Pink Player, you will see more Pink Eggs pop out. If you are a Blue Player, more blue. Also the random Easter Basket here and there (0.3% chance of Player Color, 0.6% chance of Non Player Color). So don’t spend so many donuts on them.
“What bunnies can we ZAP/Stun?”
There are ONLY 3 that you can. (Of course you can just tap on them too and they drop THUD, then burrow underground.)
Yellow Bunny
Pink Bunny
Purple Bunny
“Can we do anything to the Chocolate Brown Bunnies?”
Well, you CAN tap on them…but all they do is stand up and hiss at you. They are really only there for decoration and to add ambiance to the Easter Event. So they are only there to look at. Nothing more. Sorry. SO NO TAPPING/ ZAPPING BUNNIES IN NEIGHBORS OR KRUSTYLAND. Lol
Chocolate Brown Bunny
“How often do the bunnies pop into my game? Is there a max amount that you can have in a game?”
1 Bunny every 5 minutes
40 Max (with 20 additional in the bank for 60 total)
The Bunnies will regenerate at a pace of 1 every 5 minutes. They will keep popping into your game until there is a total of 40 Bunnies each. Now if you are away for a long period of time, the game “bank” will store an additional 20 Bunnies to your game. Bringing your max to a total of 60 Bunnies waiting in your game. This way as you clear some out, more will be placed into your game until the 20 are all out of the “bank”.
“How can I get MORE Bunnies without waiting?”
Once you get to Part 8 in the main questline, you will get the chance to plant Carrots at Cletus’ Farm. After they finish and you harvest them, 10 Bunnies will be added into your game. IMPORTANT: Make sure you clear out a few Bunnies before harvesting the crop so you have room for the 10, otherwise they are lost.
(If you have Witch Marge from the Halloween Event, you can get them quick from Cletus’ Farm.)

Ach finally the sentence didn’t make much sense but now I know how to do it. Slightly hold a finger nearby a rabbit and the lightning should appear.
Btw now is a great time to get rid of bad neighbors!
Newer players with no eggs at all are likely no longer playing the game same applies to + 30 lvl players if there are no eggs + lvl didn’t advance. Of course last seen might help too but by this time it’s imho more advanced to look at eggs
I’ve been having the same issues with zapping bunnies. For three days now, I have been unable to zap the bunnies, all I can do is tap them and as a result I’m not winning any baskets and I’m losing eggs.
It’s an ongoing problem we’re seeing more and more. We’re still looking into it ourselves to see if we can find out anymore info on it.
I’ve been reading these Bunny Zapper problems and have been wondering if it affects all versions or just certian machines.
I play on an iPad Air, and no problems. So far..
What systems are the ones getting this glitch?
My understanding is it’s widespread. I’m on a GS4 and haven’t had any issues (also no issues on my Tablet), but I know other tappers are on both iOS and Android and both devices are affected. They’ll switch back and forth thinking one will trigger it back, but it doesn’t.
My zapper has been acting a little funny, too. I’ve found that sometimes if I tap the icon for it, then tap twice where I want to start, it works. GLA & enjoy your Sunday 🙂
OK so my zapper was working fine and then some how I got the glitch that everyone else was talking about. I broke my zapper HELP I WANT MY ZAPPER BACK!!!!! I have tried going to neighbors I have logged out shut down and logged back in. I have cleared the cache. Nothing is working. I have emailed EA twice and I must be on the do not reply list from the basket issue.

It’s a new glitch that’s rapidly spreading. We’re trying to find out as much as we can on it, but the best thing I can tell you to do at this time is report it to EA. You can contact them by following the steps in this post.
I understnad how to activate the bunny zapper, my problem is how do I get the zapper to stop working so I can edit my area?
Click on the directional arrows menu icon and it should take you to the edit screen.

To answer your question, you need to have the basket filled with 4 eggs (each represent 100). Once all 4 are in there, a lil colored egg icon will appear above it (similar to the ones you see when you tap/zap bunnies). Once you see that icon, you can tap it and collect your 400 colored eggs from that basket. Be warned though…there are glitches with some of these baskets. I put the two post links below. The bunny zapper stopped working for me. Now if I hold on the screen it enters Edit mode. I tried tapping the icon in the corner and I’ve tried holding the screen in the middle of an empty grassy area but nothing. Has anyone else faced this problem? It seems like my game has reverted back to pre-Easter mode even though I still have rabbits and eggs.
I have not ran into this. Sorry. That is very interesting it is doing that. I would suggest trying some basic troubleshooting steps, such as restarting your device. As long as you have an Origin ID, you can just go right back to your game.
The zapper takes only a few seconds to activate, so if you don’t see it right away…just remove your finger and try again. It is a lil trial and error. I am finding it seems to work better if a bunny is nearby and/or I am in an open space. I will even go out to the sea area or off to land that isn’t usable to do it. Give the troubleshooting a try and let us know how it will work.
I deleted the app and reinstalled it but no results. Then I restarted my iphone. Still nothing. I deleted the app, restarted the iphone, and reinstalled and…..nothing.
The thing is that it was working for a couple of days. I was able to activate it no problem. It just stopped working one day for no reason.
I hope there’s an update that fixes it soon, but I not hopeful. I may be the only person on earth with this issue.
I would say this one definitely needs to go to EA. It is so strange. I know you can still just tap on the bunnies, the stunner makes it so much faster. They really need to look into it.
I have the exact same problem!! The zapper used to work for me but it stopped all of a sudden and it goes to the edit mode.
It is a very odd glitch. As the only game I know of that jumps to edit mode is the Family Guy Game. Do me a favor and contact EA. I was just speaking to them earlier about a lot of other issues and they are working on an update. Maybe they can add this one to the mix? Not sure. But contacting them is best bet. (If the option is there…I HIGHLY suggest taking the “call me” one as it fields the best results.) 😉

Please report this ASAP to EA. They are working on an update and the more issues we can get resolved with it, the better.
I started having this same issue yesterday, weird thing is it is impacting both my iPhone and my droid. The update has not fixed it. Let me know if you hear anything from EA, I posted on the forum, a few others are reporting the same thing, but not getting as much attention as the baskets.

I had to come back here and say that I’m liking the zapper now that I see how useful and even fun it is…when I used it at first there weren’t any bunnies around…plus I was under the assumption that you had to use two fingers…sorry I wasn’t fully on board with the zapper at first…but in my defense, I was in shock still… 🙂
Bunny, I’m a blue egg player so I need pink baskets in my town, the problem is I just get blue ones, and for the last hundreds of bunnies I just get none, how is it you you, do you get a lot of baskets?
It is all random. Similar to getting donuts as you tap through your neighbors after maxing out your FPs. I just think personally, since they are a one time use, that there are better ways to spend your donuts. Like on the egg generators. With those, you at least get eggs every 12 hrs of your color for MK1 (that you get for free with the questline) or the MK2 that gives you 300 eggs every 24hrs of the opposite color. (Just tap on the lil blue italic “i” next to them to see more info on them.) You can win baskets in the gold box once you clear Hugs and Shary too. Tapping on bunnies seems to yield them best. Just check your inventory now and then to make sure you didnt get one and not notice.
Baskets are a 400 egg total one time use only item. Once they are out…they are they to stay until full (cant store them) and once they are filled, they go away forever. The MK1 and MK2 you can keep and add to your town.
Those are MY thoughts on them anyway.
I know it’s random, but it looks like the game went “no i won’t give you pink baskets at all, and the 3 blue ones were good enough, so no more also!” Lol, before this event i got 1 donut for 100 friends a day, and it was lame cause the more the better, now that I’m more into baskets, yesterday I got 4 donuts…go figure. Mr.Bazinga, I know how you feel…I have been swapping my blue eggs for pink ones…knowing that I’ll be getting them back anyway. Sure it is still a slow process but it’s working!!! 🙂 Swapping eggs has helped me get sveral pink boxes…which in turn has gotten me a couple of gold ones!!! 🙂 You’ll get some pink baskets, just don’t give up!!! 🙂
The bunnies in my springfield are always hiding behind the police station, retirement castle and the springfield penitentiary.
Anyone out there been tapping since Halloween 2012? Is it my imagination or is the zapper actually from that event? When zombies roamed Springfield. Loved the zombies.

No…but it’s cool to see just how much they hide. 😉
One thing I figured out was that you can’t start the zapper if there’s any cash or xp lying on the ground. So if you tap a building or a thumbs up, then see a bunny, you have to wait until the payout flies away to use the zapper. Just hope that you haven’t lost sight of the bunny by then.
Which do you do first, plant the carrots and then set Witch Marge up at the farm, or set Marge and then plant Carrots?
Carrots then Marge. Marge won’t work unless there’s a crop there to speed up 🙂
I have zapped quite a lot of rabbits, but I am still waiting for a basket to pop up. Almost all of my neighbors have a couple of them out already. I feel like I am the only person without one… 🙁
It’s so random. I’ve gotten 2 of them from zapping bunnies and I don’t even remember getting them. Double check your inventory and make sure it’s not in there and it came up with out you realizing. 🙂

I find my elusive bunnies in forested areas, the prison recreation yard, Cletus’ farm mostly! I have noticed that they are not exploring Squidport tho!
I did find some bunnies on my Squidport, they definitely go there at least sometimes. Always makes me chuckle when the burrow into the wooden boardwalk after I zap them.

Hold on, I was successful – yeah! Had the zapper in an area where I had not purchased land. Then the bolts were there! Once that happened, if I held my finger down for a few secondsin a grassy area of purchased land, the “zapper” worked with the buzzing sound and volts shooting out. What fun! I cannot make the zapper work, how long do you have to hold your finger? Help!
It depends on how sensitive your screen is. For me sometimes it activates in 1 second other times I have to pick my finger up and put it down again to activate it.
It’ll take a little trial and error to get the pressure you need to apply just write to get it to activate.
i love the zapper! i have a huge forested area that the bunnies love to hide in, so this is a good way of getting them 🙂 they also like to hang out at calmwood a lot, lol 😉

Hey, so I’m not sure anyone else has noticed this, but if they haven’t I thought this would be a good heads up.
I was going into my storage and placing some of the trees I had put away back out and didn’t pay attention to how many there were and starting noticing “-135” images go up after a certain point. Tested a fence item, of which I had one stored, and after I placed the one, I could still place more, but I was basically buying more fences without having to actually go to the buy new fence menu. So I guess EA changed it so that when you run out of how many trees/fences etc in your storage, it’ll automatically move to you buying a new item of the type without warning! I didn’t test this with any of the items that cost donuts!
Other than that small surprise, I’m really loving the bunny zapping fun 🙂

But yah…good in some cases, but bad if you don’t watch and get carried away. More reason to make sure your confirm donut spend is on.
I have my confirm spend on, (and it is working), but it never asks to confirm when I’m putting up hedges/fences, etc., I just notice it shows a small -$125 (or whatever the cost) pop up when I place it.
Yah…you gotta watch that. If you pull from inventory and run out, it starts pulling from the decorations purchase next.

It is a streamlined and nice way for people like me that lay a LOT down at a time and get tired of the XP and $$ in the way or it taking forever to put them all down. For others, maybe not so convenient. Just keep an eye on it. 😉

Also, once you’ve activated the stunner for the first time, you don’t have to go up to the icon and reactivate it each time you want to use it. You can just press and hold until you see sparks anytime you’re in your Springfield. I play on both an iPad and an Android, and I notice it’s a bit touchy to get started on both – you have to make sure to hold your finger really still to get it going – but once I’m off and zapping, I really enjoy the sound effects!

I swear you guys read my mind daily 😉 I was looking for a place to comment on the 2 ways to stun a bunneh. I happen to like to tap them- it takes longer to find them and I think the animations is very similar to the guniea pigs. Again. it seems like EA was actually listening to all the sad tappers who miss the pigs and their cute noise and animation when they were poked. The choco-bunnies squeek and sit up when you touch them (so cute). I think the electro-bunny is cute too 😉 but it happens so fast.
EA listening again, the zapper will get those pesky bunnies if your town is totally full and hard to find tiny things in.
LOVE this update ,granted I was not around for the beloved Halloween ’13, or X-mas….but so far. awesome. And I appreciate that we were listened to.

I am glad this is what you were looking for. I like both animations too, but use the zapper due to my vast areas of many trees and buildings. Those lil bunnies are good at hiding in the strangest of places and very sneaky…reminds me of someone. 😉
Hey Bunny, love the post! I usually tap on individual bunnies when I see them as I’m clearing my town of handshakes, and then do a sweep with the bunny stunner. It’s amazing how many sneaky bunnies there are hiding out!
Has anyone else noticed that when you first start up the bunny stunner that it occasionally makes a vacuuming sound? Obvious leftover code from the ghost vacuum at Halloween. It’s funny to hear a couple seconds of the vacuum and then the crackle of the zapper. Ouch!

Actually…the vacuum sound…INTENTIONALLY put in there. It made me giggle like crazy when I saw the code for the sound. I HAD to see if it sucked the bunnies up too as soon as the event launched. But alas, just a zap. Funny anyway to hear it. Lol. Someone at EA is having a giggle at all this.

Great update and great posts by the TSTO staff. Unfortunately I’m having a solid run of awful luck and currently sitting on nearly 100 fences. (Not to mention 25+ ponds. Bleh.) I know these will end up in KL, but EA should allow some sort of trade-in program, especially since impatient maroons like me love pouring donuts into these events!

I keep hoping those chocolate bunnies come into play (come out to play?) on Easter Sunday — EA still might pull some tricks (rabbits, of course) out of its hat then… who knows?
There is some “tricks” in their. Just don’t know when/how they will come in to play. Waiting for Easter and for the release date of them.
This thing has been driving me nuts. The best way I’ve found to start it is to tap and hold on an area that is only grass. It seems to start it up for me…. sometimes. grrrrrrrrr
