What a week. Ewok brought me home a bag of Jalapeno Cheetos, her little sister lost her first tooth, passed a midterm and bought Sweeney Todd. Not too shabby a week and then Wookieemama came home and gave me some of the Best. News. Ever. Continue reading →
“There’s a swingin’ town I know called… Capital City. People stop and scream “Hello” in… Capital City! It’s the kind of place that makes a bum feel like a king, And it makes a king feel like some nutty cuckoo super king. It’s against the law to frown in Capital City! You’ll giggle like a stupid clown when you chance to see the 4th Street and D! Once you get a whiff of it, you’ll never want to roam, From Capital City, my home singin’ home!”
Who doesn’t love a song sung by Tony Bennett for a fictitious city in the universe of the Simpsons? Oh capital city, where you can see real street crime, a restaurant called Penny Loafers which is shaped like the shoe, neon lights and Mascots actually have an entrance at the baseball stadium.
Of course, most fans of the Simpsons are well aware of the mascot for Capital City’s pro baseball team, the Capital City Goofball. The episode tie-in for “Days of Future Future” brought us this funny fellow in our Friend Points. Once you reach Level 7 (a total of 19,500 friend points, CCG costs 3,000)… he’s all yours.
So with the “Days of Future Future” Episode Tie-In EA also gave us a 7th Social Currency Event Prize…the Capital City Goofball! So now my friends let’s break down this 7th…and final for now (at least until EA decides to add more)… Friendship Prize. Just want to remind you all with this update it’s important to remember to SLOW DOWN. There’s no rush to get the FP’s, so take your time and enjoy it! 🙂
Anywho…the Goofball is unlocked once you’ve unlocked E.A.R.L AND earned an additional 3,000FP…so many of you should be unlocking it sometime in the next few days (depending on how many friends you have). So what happens when you unlock this mascot? Does it do anything? Or does it just roam your town? Well let’s answer all of your questions by taking a closer look at the Capital City Goofball…
Hey there hoppereenos. Bunny here with some news I have been trying to verify all day. Slowly but surely there are rumors being leaked that the event I BEGGED them to give me, A Bunny Holiday, at least has an image out there. BRING ME BUNNIES!!!
A new Episode Tie-In has arrived in Springfield! This Limited-Time event will only be around a short while, so make sure you get those Limited-Timedecorations and buildings while they’re still around! For a little extra incentive let’s take a look at how the new additions to Tapped Out will impact your Conform-O-Meter.
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the “Days of Future Future” Episode Tie-In brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring us new items to add to our Springfield. Let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:
Fortune Teller Shop
Despite this being a mini update, with only 2 new premium items, they are both beneficial items to your Conform-O-Meter. Especially since the Fortune Teller Shop impacts the Consumerism Rating (one of the hardest to max out in the game). It’s always nice to have an item to impact Consumerism!
FYI Homer’s Grave does not (at this time) impact the Conform-O-Meter, nor does it award a bonus.
Which Episode Tie-In items have you purchased? How’s your conform-o-meter doing? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
