Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No, no it’s not time to conga! Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread! (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way! You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Ughh so not ready for it to be over. I’ve been transferring all my pink eggs to blues for the past week trying to get the Egg mascot but still don’t have it! I knew I wouldn’t get Shary or Hugs Bunny in the gold boxes, but still the blue box isn’t done! Ughh.
Also, EA made a terrible decision in putting blue/pink eggs in the gold box if you’ve gotten one time items like the Banana Dictatorship. I’ve gotten pink eggs so many times! It’s stupid! You collect pink eggs and blue eggs to get gold eggs! Yet Gold boxes will have pink and blue eggs after getting certain items! I really just want the egg mascot now and something in the gold box besides colored fences, eggs, or easter gate.
Thanks to Alissa, Bunny ( glad your feeling better) and Wookie keeping things upbeat and fun!!! I finally caved. I could not stand another tree, umbrella or another Kang topiary! i bought two loads of gold aka 100 donuts, just bc all i needed was Kodos Top, HB and SB! After “spinning” all of it, i received Kodos and Hugs plus a number of items i already had! Meh, what’s that Meathead? Two out of three ain’t bad!! So true!! Still have a chance so we will see!
On the UK sports front… Manchester City won the English Premier League (soccer), Manchester United came 7th. I only wish the positions were reversed as I’m a Man Utd supporter of 20 + years.
Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Grand Prix… Excellent!!
I also went to see my cousin’s band, The Pyrates!, play last night. Wicked night had by all and I got to do my annual catch up with my cousin. Handy when he’s in the UK touring as he actually lives in The Netherlands now.
It’s now just before 10am in the UK and I’m off to work on my day off. A slight spoil to an otherwise decent Sunday.
Just wanted to say how disappointed I am right now. I have been playing since the beginning of Easter and received no prizes, and I’m still a Dilligent player. Also, I have 8 pink baskets (non-dominant) and 2 blue baskets (dominant) that have glitches out for the last two weeks and neighbours cant donate eggs (I’ve tried on my B town also). Any solutions or is it just badluck no prizes for me? :/
I feel like I’m one of those rare people who would love this event to be extended… Still no Johnny Fiestas, no Hugs, no Shary.
In my B town (what’s really my boyfriends’ town but since he updated the software on his Samsung Note Tablet, he can’t sign in to the game) I still miss all those mentioned above + haven’t even cleared his dominant pink box out of unique items. And about 10 fences for the 15 donuts 🙁 Soooo frustrating. We both are all-freemium players…
Having max. nr of neighbors and visiting them every day and almost got nothing.
I’m happy for the Easter event come to an end despite not having been able to secure many good prizes. I’ve constantly been keeping all characters with egg jobs busy, harvested carrots every 2h 8 times a day with the help of With Marge and the alarm clock, bought the egg generator Mk II and Crazy Cat Lady as well, visited all 100 neighbors daily, and moved as many eggs from my B game to my A game as possible with the few free baskets that I got due to being Fabergé-less for one week after completing the questline. So I really tapped HARD for the four weeks of the event.
The last few days got me nothing but pathetic prizes, eradicating all remaining motivation to finally give in and try my luck at golden eggs in the last minute. Yesterday I decided to play away over 30 boxes worth of collected eggs in my B game because there was no hope for that many baskets in my A game before the event’s end. Well, same here, nothing but fences (still far away from the magical 50, though), ponds, trees, beach blankets… no Blocko, no Johnny Fiestas. The only good items were the Egg Council Guy and Banana Dictatorship, the latter obviously thanks to the automatic trigger.
I think EA really shot themselves in the foot with giving the good stuff such bad odds. Most people will have learned by this week how bad their chances actually are so that they wouldn’t really spend donuts.
I’m new to the game and this will be the end of my first event, will a new one start up right away?
A new one won’t start up right away. Events are usually reserved for the time around holidays. Our guess would be the next one will be a short one and happen over the 4th of July. What you’ll be more likely to see in the coming days (at least based on Last Year) are Season 25 Yard Sale (where they sell a bunch of items that appeared in Season 25), Possibly a Gil Offer, An Episode Tie-in for the Season Finale on Sunday, and more Level Updates. No word if they have any expansions in mind, last year they had Squidport and Krustyland over the summer, but as always if/when we see anything we’ll let all the Addicts know 🙂
My Wild lost a tough one tonight to the Blackhawks. Hoping to feel better, I finally broke down and spent 100 donuts on golden eggs hoping to land Sherry and Sean. Absolutely nothing but fences and more eggs. Extremely frustrating.
I tried to stay positive about this event for the past month but with one day left and not getting those final two characters, especially since I dished out donuts for the golden eggs (on top of buying the cat lady, the extra Frinktetic egg generator, visiting my 100 friends daily and keeping all the characters on their egg quests), I’m definitely not going to bed happy tonight. I really hope E.A. decides to do things differently in the future. I get it’s “just a game”, but as a long time premium player who has spent quite a bit of money on donuts over the past two years, I’m about done with this game if this is the model EA continues with in it’s future events. I have loved The Simpsons since I watched my first episode when I was in 7th grade on December 17, 1989 (I absolutely remember watching the first network episode on Fox). I hate to think that a company like E.A. could make me dislike something about about this franchise that I have truly grown up with.
That being said, thank you to the writers at this site. Your insights and thoughts make this my go-to blog for anything TSTO related. Your work is definitely appreciated.

just got the faberge egg along with a basket and guess what it happen only 5 minutes after speaking with EA customer advisor which they give me 15 donuts (is it a coincidence or am i that lucky enough?), hopefully they will extend the event so we can catch up with the late due to the glitch problem (well the advisor did not see EA will extend the event, but hopefully they will)
PS: Alissa, please check your easter basket as i gave you all of my pink egss *lol

Finally sucked out today! Then some nice people filled up one of my basket and I got another box which contained.. 3 more fences. Which actually worked out great because I was 3 fences away from Wolfcastle’s mansion being Easter fenced on 3 sides (the 4th side he shares with mr burns so I’m fine with this) and hooray for donuts!
Glad event is nearing an end…(or IS it!?!). I remember in the beginning, everybody was soooooo excited……great prizes revealed, Bunny going..EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, then Alissa hitting her with “Bunny Water” dipped tranquilizer darts……aahh what a blissful memory indeed. Then the reality of this event set in and things got a little rocking…basket glitches or no baskets, no fab. egg for all, folks getting THIS but wanted THAT….folks getting THAT but wanted THIS, and some folks not getting THIS OR THAT. I don’t know what wore my finger out more, tapping and zapping bunnies or scrolling through “miles” of rants, complaints and general disgust about the whole thing. Yes, there were a lot of good points made, and it seems everyone had an opinion (including your’s truly). I would just like to thank Wookiee, Alissa and Bunny for keeping their cool, calm heads through this whole tumultuous event and the firestorm that struck their wonderful “silly” little blog. And I would like to thank my neighboreenos, who even if fed up, would still keep their towns cleared and visited me daily. Oh, one last thing……I really want a “SWAPPER JACK’S”😃

Well, since I cannot visit friends (I get thrown completely out of the game for even trying) and since EA des not give a crap about helping me fix it……even though I have dropped close to $200.00 on donuts in the past six months, I had no choice but to buy eggs with donuts. I was fortunate enough to get the Blocko store and the Banana Dictatorship store…which I really wanted. So I guess since I cannot visit friends all of my event items will be ‘premium’ items purchased with donuts.
Been happening to me…I had to put stuff away…then stripped my kindle down to just three games…is better now…good luck!!!
I sucked out today but still have a few fences in the inventory. What to do with all these fences.
Pastel castle? Giant fancy parking structure? Fence maze?
They do look good placed around a building or park. I like the pastel around the Blocko or “Fiesta” buildings
in my opinion epic fail on the Easter event. I don’t like these random prize events. why not just let us work for stuff by racking up the eggs. I don’t want to pay for baskets but impossible to get anywhere without them. play multiple times per day and got a total of 2 baskets. one in my primary color. I got 1 premium item. last three events have been frustrating to the point I think it’s stop being fun.
EA is trying new things and this one still had good things despite some of the major suck. Hopefully they just flush the bad or do something completely different. Old formats were good but there’s so many options and great ideas folks came up with.
At first I thought this event was a great idea, but I think it needs to be achievable! I play several times a day and purchased cclady and fireworks store so I do put money into the game, but I have purchased 5 truckloads of golden eggs and still no sharry, so it’s not really a fair game.
Hi everyone! Easter is almost over Yaaaaaaaaay! I’m over it. Anyone see Spider-Man? I just saw it a few days ago, still shocked!
I so want to go see it. Honestly might wait though because my movie money is saved up for the X-Men movie.

It’s terrible that movies cost so much and we have to be selective! I bet it’s even more expensive on the West Coast than it is here. I remember going to the movies for $5 back in the day, ah those were the days. Lol now I feel old.
We have a theater by my office that still shows movies for $5 during the day. Of course I always forget about it and end up going to a different theater that’s outrageously expensive lol

Ooof, I saw it opening weekend and I’m still a little shocked. There is a great trade paperback collection that I just read (but it was published in the early 2000s) called Spider-Man Blue about how Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey almost didn’t get together. Although, fair warning to anyone who hasn’t seen the movie yet, the book may contain some spoilers.

I have enough to fill Chalmer’s _ONDA (all the dominant egg colour). There’s no need to put them out, so they have been gathering virtual dust in the inventory.
It would have been good if i could trade the baskets for those of the other colour.
They’re programmed to just disappear when full, so I have a feeling when the event ends they’ll disappear as well.
All I know is that they are no good in the inventory. I suggest putting them out so you can collect, but then redistribute amongst your friends. There’s a good use. Now that would make you the best neighboreeno ever! 🙂
I want to thank all my neighbours for randomly giving me donuts in exchange for tapping you. I sound kind of cheap when I re-read that last sentence, let me try again. I want to thank all my neighbours for allowing me to tap them in exchange for occasional donuts. No, doesn’t sound any better.
Well anyways, today is day 53 post-max FP tapping and I’m now at 97 donuts from neighbours. I should hopefully hit the 100 donut mark in the next day or two. Thank you neighbours!

I got two donuts today from neighbor tapping! Go us! My first premium purchase was Lard Lad. And then the Aztec theater. What are your top choices?
My 1st was Otto after getting a bunch of donuts during the Halloween event. It’s a good one to start with because of the low cost. You have a lot, so I would just go with the Character/Building combo you like the most.
While Lard Lad and Aztec Thearter are great premium buildings I’d like to have someday, I think my first premium purchase will be a player/building combo. Otto with the bus is nice and affordable. But I think I’d personally lean towards either Mel with Krustylu Studios, as Mel can be used in Krustyland as well or Duffman with the Brewery, as I’ve already fenced off the Brewery area using the Easter fences I just won.
With 223 donuts, the only ones still out of reach are Barney with the Bowlorama for 250 and just by a hair Quimby’s Blonde with Sleepeazy Motel for 225 (though hopefully I’ll even have enough for that tomorrow or latest Tuesday fingers crossed).
My first was the Aztec theater, then the pet store. I’m holding out for a Gil deal though, because those are usually pretty good.
My first premium purchases were Dr Nick and Sherry & Terry. I was kind of disappointed that Sherry & Terry don’t speak, but I love hearing Dr. Nick and the crazy things he says.
I’ll admit, that wasn’t the best use of my donuts back then! At the time I hadn’t found this AWESOME blog to help me make better choices. But hey, they look great! Sounds like you’re all set and ready for the brewery, drop the hammer! I still don’t have that but maybe next Gil deal….
Hey Safi! Have you noticed that gives some buildings more often donuts than other buildings? or is it just random.
I mean, I got like 2 donuts every other day from my friends and you seem to get almost every day 2 donuts..
Trust me Hez, I’ve spent A LOT of time trying to figure out zone pattern or algorithm EA might be using, but alas there is no rhyme or rhythm as to when donuts appear 🙁
Was any1 else kinds of hoping EA would be nice and give us a Mothers day gift today?
It would of been nice if they would of given us a couple of free golden boxes, or a free character, or building, some free donuts.

WanderingCaveman is right. As this stressful event draws to a close I must also thank everyone at tstoaddicts for trying to keep everyone’s spirits up (it’s probably easier to glue dog poo to the wind).
Spent way too many donuts on this one to complete the set. Hopefully they will give me rivers or a waterpark in KrustyLand and let me use all the beach umbrellas there.

I am so unhappy with being COMPLETELY shut out for 14 days, I can’t bring myself to consider buying gold eggs, much less pink eggs.

My list is practically the same, but minus the topiaries. Makes absolutely no sense. I have 100 friends, max out my taps daily, and it seems I’ve gained nothing since maybe Easter Day proper. I won’t even reach the boring 50 fence goal. All around bad execution. The best thing to happen during this event was level 40. I’m familiar with EA enough to know they are notoriously awful and will throw gamers a bone only when the complaints pile up. Frankly I don’t think the people that designed this event had any idea what they were doing. I’m sure we’ll hear some snarky dialogue written into their future game scripts about it in the future.
I am yet to hear from a single tsto addicts reader who is a fan of the bruins. Are there any others out there?

Ended up finishing everything in TSTO today and now am waiting for the next event. In the interim, cleaned the house for the Mrs., did laundry, watched the kids and all the neighbors kids swim in the pool, and hung out with my Father-in-law after he cooked steaks. All in all a very good day.

Still would love to get Johnny Fiesta’s, but I’m only going to be able to open 2 more blue boxes tops before the event ends (maaaaybe 3 if my blue baskets get filled again). I guess I still technically have a chance for Hugs, but my hopes for him are dwindling. Shary just ain’t gonna happen at all.
I liked this event, but I’m ready for it to end – while I love zapping the adorable bunnies and getting free stuff, the fact that there’s (hopefully) an end date is nice. Unless they overhaul it at the last minute, I’d be rather annoyed if they dragged it out. Homer has tobacco legalization to lobby for, drinks to drink with Sanjay and a 36hr pig-out at the Frying Dutchman to accomplish after he picks up that final egg.
I need more eggs! This is frustrating. I have 100 neighbors, I visit everyday. I bought crazy cat lady. Level 40 daily player. There is no way I’m getting all the prizes. & My baskets (the very few I’ve gotten) are only paying out 200 eggs instead of 400. Ugh!

Feel your pain. Broke down and got a truck load of golden eggs. Fences and eggs only. I have 2 more chances but taking a brak and hoping my luck is better tomorrow.
The ‘missing’ eggs might show up if you go to the neighbor screen or Krustyland and back to your Springfield.
When they give you 200 eggs, go to KL then return And your egg count should be as it should be at 400 🙂
Next week is the last episode of the season. Last year they had a “garage sale” of items from that years episodes. If they do the same thing this year, what would you like to see? Personally, I would enjoy being able to buy some of the foreign Krustys to use as a costume for regular Krusty.
I hope that they would have some joint tasks for Otto and Jamaican itchy and scratchy if they do do this.
I finally unlocked the last if the prizes (and I don’t want to total up the number of donuts spent to do so). Thank you Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee for keeping upbeat and positive about the Easter event in the face of the grumbling. The past few days I’ve gotten more joy from reading the blog than from playing the game. In fact, for the first time since I started playing tapped out, I think I’m going to take a break from the game for a few days. Last years whacking day event ran me ragged (I was checking in every 4 hours to whack snakes), but this years event felt way more intense and I think I need to spend a few days out of Springfield to recover.

Would like to add my thanks to Alissa, Bunny, and Wookiee! Overall I enjoyed the event, but I work alone at night and drove myself crazy a few times trying to figure out odds and getting frustrated at winning so many of those ridiculous egg piles. I appreciate TSTO addicts reminding me to take my time and enjoy it. (It is still just a game, right?)
I still need Hugs and Shary, I have been saving my eggs up this week, so I am looking forward to one last box opening blow out and being finished, no matter what I get!
