UPDATE: Looks like EA has a message that was quite delayed. Some got it, some still have not. For those just getting it, as you see from this post…you may have already received these donuts and got the message later.

Now I was curious at first when one of our regular readers Safi posted this…
Has anybody received 10 free donuts anywhere along the early parts of the new event? And if so, when and where? Between last night and visiting neighbours this afternoon, I went up 15 donuts. On a previous post, it was suggested I may have won 10 from completing something in the event, while the other 5 from visiting neighbours. I’m really curious so if you get any donuts from early in the event questline, please let me know when and where. Thanks.

dohhomerdoh: Safi, I too obtained free donuts along the way. I was at 2 just prior to the update (just bought barney and bowl-a-rama… finally earned enough free donuts woo-hoo!). Then right before new update I re-leveled up and got my 3 free donuts so should have 5 total. Somewhere along the line I got bumped up to 20 with zero notification or fanfare. Maybe a gift from the Stonecutters. Does this mean I’m in their inner circle?
Madam Dukes: I got donuts too. 12 in both my A and B towns, the funny thing being I think got them before I updated. It could have happened with the update, but I think it happened in the morning and the stone cutters came to our SP in the afternoon. I have been reading the forums to see if it happened to anyone else.
So I sat and waited and watched my games. Then just after I completed the build of the Stonecutters Lodge in my A game, I stopped playing a bit to work on a few posts and transfer screenshots I took. I went to go back in and got Bart screen. So I reset…got back in…and there they were… FREE DONUTS!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I would have not even noticed if it wasn’t for Safi pointing it out and my screenshots to prove it did happen. Lol.
The top image is the info for Krustyland meter I was working on for another post not too long before I stopped for a bit. The bottom is the image I saw when I returned to the game after the Bart screen. That is a 22 donut difference in my A game. (Due to I have so few in this game, I can account for every single one too.)
Now the question still stands of WHY? I really don’t care…just the fact that EA added to my game…again, I won’t complain (Many open tickets on this account). Of course the geeky nerd in me is gonna shred the files to see if there is anything I missed on the random donuts just popping in. Lol. I am still wondering if there is a glitch in two tasks, the “Trust No One” and “Quash Those Who Trespass Against Us”. These are supposed to be 10 donuts each to SPEED UP the task and avoid it (for those odd ones that still play without neighbors) and not a reward. But so far, it is the only way I can explain a possible 10 to 20 donut increase. Waiting for confirmation on this from EA to find out.

Contacted EA literally an hour ago, just got a reply saying they will credit 12 donuts within 24-48 hours. Just logged in and they are there already! Think they will be spent on number 314…. Seems convenient lol. Oh and love the site by the way 🙂

from a mystery box. Everything’s coming up Milhouse!
Woo HOOOO, just got 20 free donuts after completing the Stonecutter’s sidequest where Lisa is doing a lot of investigating, and the end is when 20 women & children protest at the capitol! I’m sure you guys have mentioned it somewhere along the line, but that was totally sweeeet!

Some got it some didn’t. However, when you contact EA they say they don’t know anything about it (the outsourced people you get in chat). BUT most people reported seeing an increase the first day of the event (last week). You may not have noticed it honestly.

So i contacted EA and they are denying any knowledge of these 12 free donuts and are saying that anyone that is claiming to have recieved these are somehow lying that they have no information in they’re system of any of this ever happening so i dont know what else i can do they were absolutely no help at all so contacting EA id say is a complete waste of time they will just deny it
That’s just because the chat support is all outsourced and really haven’t got a clue as to what the heck the game is. All they do is read from a script.
But that popup does appear (I saw it in my game too) however, you may have gotten the donuts prior to the popup appearing.
Did you go through chat or email? I emailed them after not receiving a pop up or the 12 free donuts (without the pop up). They got back to me within 48 hours with this message
“Greetings, Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.
I have gone through your email and found that you haven’t received 12 donuts with stonecutter event. Please don’t worry, we are here to help you.
I have added 12 donuts to your account. Please check your account now.”
And the donuts are in my account now, went from 265 to 277 and it’s definitely not from collecting from neighbours or leveling up bonus.
Perhaps if you went through chat. like Alissa said they’re reading from a script, but through email they might have more idea about the game.
I’d keep trying. 🙂

Hey, this notification came up for me yesterday, I played all day yesterday and didn’t get any free donuts…. should I contact EA?
Are you sure you didn’t get the notification AFTER you got the donuts? You may have gotten the donuts last Tuesday or Wednesday, the notification was delayed a bit. Check and make sure… 🙂
I contacted EA and let them know I did not receive the 12 free donuts, so the game adviser added them to my account. Woo Hoo! Now I don’t feel so left out.

I logged on to my game @ around 8:25pm and I got in my mystery box 30 donuts. I clicked on collect and nothing happened. I had 382 before I got the notification and still have 382 after. Can someone please help me!!!!!
Let EA know. I’ve seen them remedy this with other tappers.

I got a notification saying to log in for 12 free donuts in my A & B towns. None for C\D but they hadn’t started the scrolls yet.

Just had a notification on my iPad (like I get when crops are ready, etc.) to play TSTO now for 12 free donuts. Of course I jumped right into the game, but because I don’t know exactly how many donuts I had before going into my game, I cannot confirm whether I actually received 12 free donuts. I hope so!
Lol. Yah…I still haven’t seen the message but got 12 then 10 free ones. 😉
So, I was able to get the screenshot and e-mailed it to the blog. Unfortunately, when I went in to play, I did not receive 12 donuts. I guess because I got them a few days ago. The notification must have come late or something…

AHA!!!! I’m trying to get a screenshot, but it doesn’t seem to be working because the notification is on my popup screen. Tried with a regular camera but image is blurry. I’ll keep trying but in the meantime, the auto-notification that popped up tonight reads: “Can you unlock the secret of the Stonecutters? Play now and receive 12 FREE donuts to aid your investigation.” I can’t believe I solved the mystery! (or at least part of it…)
I also got 12 around the day of the update. Then I got another 60 the next day. It was awesome.
I wonder if the free donuts are in some way related to lost inventory items. As I’m a hoarder, I lost ~450 trees and who knows what else.
I haven’t received any free donuts, but if they did that in exchange for the missing items from my inventory, that would be great! I did put in a ticket to EA, which I got a canned response to. Did you happen to put in a ticket, and if so, was it escalated? Maybe I need to escalate mine?
Btw, I still have over 175 potted trees if anyone is interested 😉
Bunny I got 12 rite after updating. My best guess was either it was because I already had Frink. I used them on his robes lol. Or my other guess was that one of the partchment tasks is undoable seeing how they each cost 12 to complete. I haven’t come across any post anywhere referring to that so its probably for already having Frink……I hope lol

I got 12 right after I updated. I usually check here when that happens because I often don’t read the pop ups carefully and I assumed it was something like the 20 donut gift recently. I also have been getting donuts regularly while tapping friends, even with emblems.
No donuts. Not even when visit all TO friends for last 3 days.

no joke, it is National Donut Day. Lots of local donut shops and chains were giving out free donuts with a purchase. Maybe that is the reason?
The freebies have been popping up for some since this event started so no correlation but hopefully you got some real life free donuts.
