Dropping in to let you know a little update just hit our games…LEVEL 43!!
More details as we go through them but for now know that Homer kicks it off and you have to send him to KRUSTYLAND!!!
Note: Some players are reporting Krusty starts it off for them. It will vary game to game. Both Krusty and Homer start questlines for the level. In both of my games Homer started it, but then Krusty picked it back up after.
As always…for those that don’t like spoilers Update information below the fold…so WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD
As mentioned above Homer kicks things off in Krustyland with some dialogue between him and Bart. Your first task will be to Build Tavern on the Scream….it costs 1,500 Tickets and takes 24hrs to build.
Next up is the main questline for the Level and that starts off with Krusty and Blue Haired Lawyer (no you don’t have to have BLH in order to do the quest)…
This will prompt you to build Krusty’s Giant Wheel….it costs 4,000 Tickets and takes 24hrs to build. This unlocks Princess Penelope.
Update: Some of you are reporting that you’re below Level 43 and getting the prompt to build the Tavern on the Scream from Homer & Bart. This is a task that starts before Level 43, but introduced with this update. So if you’re at a lower level you’ll still get in on the update fun!
Note: There is a minimum requirement for this. You have to currently be at Level 30 and you have to have completed up to part 9 in the Krustyland questline (Krustyest Place on Earth)
Krusty/Penelope questline is the main questline for Level 43… 🙂

Krusty’s Giant Wheel– 4,000 Tickets (Earns 90 Tickets, 30xp/24hrs), 6×3, 24hr build. Comes with Princess Penelope.

Scratchy Balloon- 1,250 tickets, Improves Kitsch
Poochie Balloon- 1,000 tickets, Improves Kitsch

Unoriginal Log Ride– 75 Donuts. Earns 36tickets, 15xp/ 4hrs. 20×10. Instant Build
Krusty’s One Plate Maximum Buffet– 40 Donuts. Earns 90 tickets/30xp/ 12hrs. 10×8. Instant Build
*Note: This building when purchased has a quest for Eddie & Lou. Eddie & Lou will appear in Springfield AFTER you’ve completed the first part of the main questline. Basically after you’ve built the wheel and placed balloons.
Decorations:
Duff Beer Fountain– 10 donuts. Impacts Nausea rating. 4×4.
Itchy Balloon– 30 Donuts. Improves Kitsch in Krustyland. Adds 2% bonus in K-Land
Itchy & Scratchy Billboard- 40 donuts. 1% bonus to all cash and xp in Springfield, improves Kitsch in Krustyland
Update Fun: Easter Decorations (Fences, Gates, Trees) can NOW go in Krustyland!!!

Is the Princess a playable character with tasks or does she just walk around aimlessly?

Again minor character ea are running out of ideas I mean Bernice is about the most common character we’ve got in a recent level update think about it Chester Dupree?, Chester Lampwick, Roger Myers jr, Cocoa beanie these are all characters who are only known by hard core Simpsons fans. Heck Chester Dupree isn’t even in the Simpsons (talk about cheap) and know this. A stupid princess from one episode? Very. Similar to cocoa beanie, these aren’t even recurring characters. Gone are the days of patty and Selma, Kirkland Luann, sherri and terri. Sigh…
think about the full range of characters The Simpsons has to offer, that’s what makes this game unique ALL the different characters that could come back into Springfield. Check out this post from Wookiee about it:

Kinda makes you smile about the little characters because it just means this game can have a LONG shelf life 🙂

Princess Penelope is kind of weak. Ive only been playing since December 2013, but without spending a ton of money (which I know EA really wants) they need to constantly keep up with new items, building/character combos. Maybe this was just something they threw out really quick, but I see a ton more options over P.P.
I honestly have no problem with getting more less-known characters. And the Fudge Factory/Cocoa Beanie are one of my favorite building/character combinations. If we are seeing tons of famous characters come out all the time, then pretty soon all the “big” people will be released and there will be nothing new for EA to give us.
I’m very glad we’re sent back into KL! The Itchy and Scratchy Billboard should be animated where Scratchy gets hit and blood spurts out. Then I’d go for it, otherwise there are still other premium items I’m going after.
Well you can all laugh at me for leaving my Krustyland alone all this time (I only just placed Poochie Mascot, I’m THAT far behind).
That said, touché EA. I am now spending more time there. Looks like I have a lot of powering through ahead of me.

Hi there to all and must say Alissa really appreciate for this timely insight. Awesome job to bring us all the spoilers of this leveling. Just spotted one tiny mistake there at Itchy baloon’s bonus and I can confirm it, adds 2% bonus in KL not in SF (finally we got something to raise that “weak” multiplier). Looking at this comments here, it’s becoming obvious that more and more people aren’t satisfied with this update, but must say something is happening with our (K)rustylands at last. Keep up the good work…

I like that the new premium rides are reasonably priced. The Unoriginal Log Ride looks great next to Mount Krustmore, still debating the One Plate Maximum Buffet, but I’ll probably end up buying it bc the price tag is low and I have all the other attractions. The decorations are also pretty reasonably priced (although I don’t buy premium decorations unless they’re limited time ) The only thing i wish they had done was make krusty’s giant wheel you know GIANT. Otherwise great update love that KL got some new content and hopefully ea will continue these kinds of premium price tags in upcoming updates to Springfield.😬

Just got to lvl 43! Started building the Krusty’s Giant Wheel (4000 KL Tickets) and Tavern on The Scream (1500 KL Tickets) love it!!! I love Princess Penelope So much!!! Love it! Maybe lvl 44 come soon?

Finally, a Krustyland update! I’ve wanted one forever! It’s the neglected part of SF…

I think you’ll need to correct the Itchy balloon, just bought one and it only gives the bonus 2% to Krustyland tickets, not Springfield. I logged out and in to make sure the springfield bonus was updated but it did not change, and the balloon is not transferable to springfield. 🙁

I’m having fun with this update so far. I even nuked my Krustyland lol I do agree with others who said everyone in Springfield should be able to go over to Krustyland. It would be more fun. However, any update makes me happy!

I grabbed the Itchy Balloon, as it seemed a good bonus multiplier deal plus I’m trying to get my 5th Kitch ball and the full 5% bonus, but it’s only affected my KL bonus not my SF.
Should it effect both or just KL?
I’m gonna double check…this one could just be KL.

Only one character in the level update odd even odder we now have some changes in the character groups menu. One has a slider that doesn’t slid even. Where’s that level walkthrogh addicts? Just kidding.loving the new update by the way. Me thinks maybe a character unlock as we play the level quest maybe. Hmmmmm………lol. happy tapping

you may have answered this already but is penelope a crustyland only character? And is there notning in regular springfeild this update? I always get kicked out when im in krustyland more than a few minutes.

Yes, she’ll be playable in both Springfield and Krustyland. However, her questline is all K-Land.

Found out that Eddie, Lou, and Sherri and Terri are able to go to Krustyland. Sherri and Terri have a quest with the Princess. I’m glad more Springfielders can now come to Krustyland.

Honestly don’t care for this update , as much as I appreciate ea spending some time on krusty land for a change to me it was a failed expansion. Tbh all of springfielders should be able to visit making it less time consuming and boring to earn tickets or we should be able to exchange in game cash for tickets….that would make sense. Don’t get me wrong I will do the tasks but defiantly won’t be buying premium content for this one I’ll pass 😁😁
Your reasoning makes sense. My thought process on this is it’s a small update (questline is just under 5 days) as a place holder for what comes next. I’m glad the did a separate update for Krustyland and didn’t mix it with a Springfield one, the back and forth is killer! Fingers crossed for something big in the next 2 weeks 🙂
I believe I can answer a few questions… If all of your people are doing 24hr tasks enter and leave KL a few times.. All of my people where busy and I did that and I was able to start both quests. The reason you can build the tavern on the scream and not the other building when your under level 43 is due to the tavern on the scream being unlocked at level 30… While a lot of people are over 30. I believe EA did this for future people who join so they can unlock at that level.. Also another thing…. Just like Alissa said… When they add a level up update it resets the totals for all of the other level. Which in some/a lot of cases will give you a level up when you log in again…… Along with a boost towards the next level…. 🙂
Although I have figured all of this out…. The one thing I’m wondering is, if you maxed your level out before a level up update; and get a couple bonus levels up, would you get the level up automatically… I logged in and got the level up for lvl 43… I looked at my exp bar. And I had the exact same amount before the update…. Granted the total needed shrank a bit but the amount I actually had stayed the same….. That leads me to believe that receiving bonus donuts for bous level ups means you get the level up regardless of exp total when the next level up update comes out… Any thoughts on this????
Also I wish that a reverse converter had been put I place… While I still need all the BIG cash items in SL 1,000,000 and up… I have 300,000 I could transfer to KL for tickets if it were possible… I haven’t really saved up tickets due to wanting to get the % up to 5% so I really could use the tickets to get the 5 freemium required building/rides I have to get now…. Plus all the balloons I want 🙂 😉
The good news is ticket items in Krustyland are fairly reasonable compared to the cost of new buildings in Springfield! 🙂
That’s exactly how it works. When you fill the XP bar and get your donuts, it means you automatically level up when the next one comes out.
All my characters are on 24 hour quests I started last night so the only thing I got in Springfield was the level 43 announcement. I went to Krustyland anyway just to clear it out and the Krusty/Blue Haired Lawyer dialog started on its own and I was prompted to build the wheel and place the balloons. I can see the Log Ride and The Buffett, but not Tavern on the Scream yet. Waiting on Bart and Homer to finish up in Springfield tonight…
So excited about Easter decorations going to Krustyland! I haven’t done it yet but I have plenty to move 🙂

You don’t need to wait. If you go to KL twice, the two questlines (Krusty/Lawyer and Homer/Bart) will start by themselves; you may not be able to start the character tasks, but you can start the buildings/decorations right away.
And wait for the Krusty/Lawyer dialogue to complete before buying the balloons; any balloons purchased prior to that will not count for that questline.
Interesting….I’ve been in several times since this posted and no update loads, nothing in play store. No, I’m not getting that “device full” message some are reporting….it just connects after that can’t connect to server message we’ve all been getting and clicking retry. Most odd….
that is really odd. Try basic troubleshooting…uninstall, restart your device and reinstall TSTO. Hopefully that’ll help clear it up! 🙂
Finally! Held off on deleting and reinstalling for bandwidth issues and it just hit. Did nothing special, just kept reentering springfield and finally the update just hit out at 330. I have to wait till 530 for characters to free up (I gave them tasks to keep them busy while I waited,) but at least I’ll finally just be able to get things started.

Mine opened in the strangest way. Last night I was about 10% xp short of level 42. After the update downloaded and I went in I got Ralph with 2 donuts saying I leveled up to 42 AND I already had about 10% of the level 42 xp bar filled. I’m not complaining but what’s up w that? Again, this was as soon as I entered my SF. I didn’t clear any tasks or handshakes or collect any income.
Very odd…monitor it to see if you get any more rollbacks like that. But hey 2 donuts is 2 donuts 😉

I was just thinking last night that I should do a cash exchange because we never do anything in KL. I’m glad I waited! Bought a ton of land and decorations for KL this morning and anxiously awaiting my buildings!
That was one of my bigger fears, that people would transfer tickets to cash just before this update. I’m glad you waited! Always good to have a little ticket stockpile in K-Land 🙂
How do you do a transfer? I’ve heard it mentioned but never saw an option.

It’s an option that comes up once you’ve completely built K-land (tooth chipper). Then you click on the Main Entrance for Krustyland and you’ll get the exchange option. 🙂
This adds another character I’d forgotten about to the list of possible deaths in the next season. I doubt it will actually be Krusty, but someone close to him.

Awesome update! It’s nice to have some new stuff for Krustyland complete with quests! I got my buildings started. Can’t wait to get in there tomorrow and decorate em up!! =)

Device full.
I deleted a few things, deleted TSTO, restarted the phone, downloaded TSTO, but keep getting the message. These steps helped me before, but now I dont know what to do. I have 780 Mb free space. Very annoying.
I’ve had this happen too. Best advice i can give is check to see what apps (besides TSTO) take up a ton of space. Delete those, download TSTO and reinstall, then reinstall the other apps. TSTO is very particular about the amount of space it needs..and it’s EXTREMELY frustrating.
I moved them to SD card. Should i delete them instead?
Try it with the SD card first. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. If it doesn’t then delete them. It’s a massive pain, I know. I’ve often had updates where it took me almost an hour just to get in. Good luck! 🙂
EA please make those balloons transferable to our towns too. I want to buy a set for the studios. Great update BTW!!! Loving the log ride and Duff fountain. The fountain would look great in our towns too. Hint.
lol we shall see what they do. I know the balloons were once available at Thanksgiving so some players already have them. We shall see if they make them movable to Springfield down the road 🙂
Well, I wasn’t expecting that…my peeps won’t be ready until 9pm tonight PDT. Oh well, some of them happen to be at the Krustyland Hotel anyway – I guess The Tooth Chipper will take a bit longer, lol.
Hopefully this update will help with my no handshake business. I’d take a look there, but this thing called a full-time job is getting in the way and there’s no reliable wifi where that is, hehe.
