So the EA has FINALLY put out some content after weeks of silence. The calm before the storm…is OVER!!!
So far the Update has hit iOS and Android and we just received word it’s hit Kindle! Let the fun begin for all!!
Keep an eye here as we will update the post with info as we confirm it live in the game…
After you download the game you’ll be given the Barbarian Character for FREE…he’ll be automatically placed in your Springfield and he kicks everything off.
He’ll have a 1 hr task, followed by a prompt for a $1,000 and 16hr build for his castle.
More details on the way as soon as we go through….
REMINDER: Check to make sure your Confirm Donut Spend is ON…sometimes with app store updates it gets shut off. So verify so you don’t waste any of those sprinkles!
Here are the details for the event…
Event Ends October 7th
New Event Currency:
Elixir- Earned by completing tasks and attacking neighbors.
Freemium:
Barbarian Castle- $1,000, 16hr Build.
When THIS is complete you’ll kick of the Clash of Clones Event
Personal Prizes are in the game as well (10 total)
There are 2 more castles that you will earn as personal prizes.
Once you unlock the castle your first task of the event will be to Attack another Springfield. You can do this easiest…by clicking on your neighbors and going to Other Springfield. There you’ll see swords over their houses…tap on those. More specific details coming on attacking, but that’s the quickest way to get past that part of the task.

– Barbarian Castle Wall- 100 Elixir (also requires you to upgrade your castle….we’ll get to that)
Barbarian Castle Tower- 750 Elixir (also requires castle upgrade)
Barbarian Castle Gates- 1,500 Elixir (also requires castle upgrade)
Medieval Banner- 950 Elixir
Hay Cart- 200 Elixir
Stock- 475 Elixir
Premium Stuff:
Medieval Banner- 15 Donuts, Adds 0.25% Bonus to all cash and XP
Medieval Banner- 12 Donuts, Adds 0.25% Bonus to all cash and XP
Flaming Torch- 10 Donuts, Adds 0.20% Bonus to all Cash and XP
Chicken Coop- 30 Donuts, Adds 0.50% Bonus to all Cash and XP
More Land!
16 new squares of land have been added to the very bottom of your Springfield (furthest from the mountains). It runs from the water to the right. Here are the prices for the new land…starting with the water and moving right (2 squares of water):
$1,500,000; $900,000; $600,000; $400,000; $300,000; $200,000; $200,000; $200,000; $300,000; $400,000; $500,000; $600,000; $700,000; $800,000; $1,000,000; $1,500,000
Nerds:
Gang of 5 Nerds- 2 Donuts
Mob of 10 Nerds- 3 Donuts
Army of 20 Nerds- 4 Donuts
Nerds are how you earn Elixir….you send Nerds to attack your neighbors to earn Elixir. The more nerds you have the shorter the attack time.
Max- 40 in your town at once. You’ll get a warning pop up when you hit it. (at castle level 1)
Defend:
You’ll be asked to defend your Springfield as well. To do this you’ll see a shield over one of your houses (or multiple houses):
Just tap on the shield to defend your Springfield…and out will pop elixir and gold!
Buildings Destroyed:
Yes, your buildings can be destroyed. However, it’s easy to repair (AND you earn more Elixir and Gold for it!). Just tap on it to repair! 🙂
Gold and PRIZES:
The gold you collect goes towards earning the Personal Prizes for the event!

200 Gold- Barbarian Homer & Homer Barbarian
400 Gold- Castle Recycle & Archer Lisa (24hr build and quest to unlock)
800 Gold- Cheaters 20 Pack (5 Cheaters awarded)
1,400 Gold- Boxingham Palace & Goblin Bart (24hr build and unlocked with a quest)
5,000 Gold- Wizard Marge
9.500 Gold- Elixir Bundle
15,000 Gold- Hot Air Balloon
22,000 Gold- Three Towers
30,000 Gold-Catapult
38,000 Gold- Barbarian Statue and Banners
Cheaters:
Once you collect 800 Gold you’ll unlock the ability to buy cheaters (at 800 Gold you’ll get a 20 pack for free ).
Cheaters all how you wreck a building immediately (instead of sending nerds) OR Cheaters will defend your buildings under attack (all at once).
Single Cheaters 20- 9 Donuts
Handful of 5 Cheaters 20s- 44 Donuts
Bag of 20 Cheaters 20s- 155 Donuts
Elixir:
Every Wednesday you can purchase Elixir….your options are
200 Elixir- 6 Donuts
1,000 Elixir- 26 Donuts
4,000 Elixir- 100 Donuts
*donut prices are subject to change. This is what we see at the moment but without them being in the game fully (they’ll unlock on Wednesday) the prices could still change.
More Castle Parts:
Both the Recycle Castle and Cardboard Castle have Walls, Gates and Towers (just like the Barbarian one)…however prices on those are not known at this time. As soon as we have pricing we’ll pass it along. Here’s what they’ll look like:

Note: The walls, gate and towers will unlock for you to ALWAYS buy once your castle (that corresponds with the part) reaches Level 10. Otherwise you can only get them buy upgrading your castle and gaining them from the upgrade. Also, the Cardboard AND Recycled walls, gate & tower will cost donuts. Only the Barbarian walls, gate and tower is available for elixir in the store…once you’ve upgrade the castle to Level 10.
Final Note About the Bender Spoiler….
It’s been reported that there’s a Bender icon in the files. Some believe this is for a possible crossover event during Season 26. HOWEVER, this icon is used in Clash of Clones…so I’m not sure if it will be used again. There is a specific purpose for it with this update….

I am stuck on Rollin with it defend your town with a cheater. I am so upset bc I even wasted 18 donuts thinking I was doing something wrong lol. I defend my town with the cheater and then the task doesn’t register. Tapping from iPad mini. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you open a ticket with EA. Also let them know about the wasted donuts.
I find this new quest to be the nerdiest and most lol-worthy for Simpsons Tapped Out (I don’t have $ for donuts, so I’m glad to obtain what I can from just playing) 🙂
what is the quickest way to get gold (excluding using a bunch of doughnuts). is there a specific strategy that would make the process go faster?
For me, I only use one Nerd and just attack every building I can til the Nerds are gone. Then repeat. It seems to help me get a decent amount.
I agree with Bunny. Use your nerds immediately, no benefit to keeping them in your town. Attack random rather than neighbors unless you have neighbors you know will let stuff be destroyed. Get castles when you can, and other than needing to use one cheater to defend as part of the quest, save the rest them to demolish random people’s castles.
I come back every two hours to max my nerd production. I do this by putting everyone not on a specific quest on a two hour task if they have them, and four hours if they don’t. And I have push notifications on so every two hours I’m being reminded to go clear tasks and I collect nerds while I’m at it, then them off to die 😉
Upgrade characters as soon as possible, doesn’t take away gold so no reason not to. Other than spending elixir buying things required for the quest lines I’d focus my elixir spending on upgrading castles to max the nerds.
Do you know how many walls, towers and gates will be awarded for each castle just by levelling the castle up? I don’t want to spend my precious sprinklies on extra bits for the recycled castle and boxingham palace if I can get a decent amount by levelling them up…

Hi guys 🙂 I just hit 9500 gold and was excited to get the elixir bundle. The message popped up on my screen saying I got it but I didn’t actually get anything and it’s not in inventory or added to my total elixir. I was wondering if you have to be to a certain point in the quest line to get it or if it won’t show up until Wednesday when the rest of the elixir is on sale?
I am waiting to see the same too. Many are stating this. You may still want to alert EA in the meantime just in case so you have an open ticket already in case it does not appear on Wednesday.

Wizard Marge does not trigger til Part Two of the Power of Upgrades when it requires her to Throw fireballs.
Question – I’ve been thinking that there’s something wrong with my game because I get prompted that I’ve won prizes and it says they are in my inventory, but they are not there. And when I go to the prize list, they show up in colour. But from reading some posts, am I supposed to do quests in order to actually get these prizes? If so, how do I do the quests? I haven’t been prompted to do them. And when I open the info part of the prizes i’m supposed to have, there is a place about a quest, but it doesn’t let me click on it to start the quest. I was just prompted that I got wizard Marge, but she’s also not in my inventory.
So just wondering if I really do have a problem with the game, or if I’m just a duh and not getting it hahaha!!
And how do you know what level you are on?

As you progress in the noraml questline, items unlock. The Homer/Barbarian skins first, Lisa a few later and then Bart. Marge unlocks late in the quests. Check out this post form Alissa to see if it answers where your at and when the others will unlock.

Yep, I’m an idiot hahaha!! I’ve been working a lot lately so I’ve had less time to play. As a result, I’ve been neglecting my town folk and not putting them to work, therefore, I’m missing these quests. Tho it would have been nice if when I receive the prompt that I’ve won prizes, that instead of EA saying they’re in my inventory, it says you won these prizes but you have to do these quests first before getting them. I don’t get prompted to do the quests because I haven’t been tapping on my town folk.

Is there a post yet detailing the quest list? If so I can’t find it. I’m trying to see when things like the other castles, Bart and Lisa are unlocked. I’ve already got them both in my inventory, but can’t use them yet. So far the quest is just “Send Homer and Barbarian on really long tasks”.

How do you clear the krusty land glitch? It shows 4 buildings being attacked on the red 20 dice and it prompted me to go to krusty land to defend but there was nothing to defend against. Now it shows still 4 to defend but when I click; it says there is nothing to defend. Any advice? Add me up Gaadrinker

Weird. Couldn’t hurt to let EA know in case it’s happening to others. I would just ignore any future notifications if they happen and make sure to tap your shields when you see them.

I was able to get the initial 4 wall but how do you get more? It just shows locked and I have upgraded to level 7 already.
You’ll earn more as you upgrade your castle, once you reach level 10 you’ll be able to purchase them through the store 🙂

Once you send them off the battle you can’t really tell where they went or follow up with them. You’ll just see a popup in your Springfield when your Gold/Elixir rewards come in

Wizard Marge gets unlocked with the Power of Upgrades Questline…towards the end of Prince and the Premise.

Was there a change made to the max number of nerds? Yesterday I tried to buy some but it wouldn’t let me go over 40? Today I had 33 and clicked on my castle for 15. I thought oh crap I should have hit a random town first but I ended up with 48

What happens if you attack and the poison defends their house? Do you still get your bounty?
All of the payouts for Attacking are in the attack post. You get something, but not as much if you had destroyed the building.

I like the overall looks of the new update, but i don’t understand HOW o use the red dice to protect my Springfield , as one of the missions requires, can you post something about it,please?

My red dice are not working with the quest to defend my town either, and I’ve seen other posts that this is an issue. So hopefully EA is working on this.

Does anyone know how to get to the prize track screen? The screen that shows you the blacked out prizes and how many coins you need? I could access it before I unlocked the other 2 castles, but not now.
If you are looking for where you are on the personal Prizes? Lower right of screen Castle Icon, tap on it. Next it will pop up the Event info and 3 separate icons will now show in the lower right. Tap on the Trophy with Gold inside. That will take you to the Personal Prize screen.
I think I need friends for this I only have 500 gold while some on my list have 2000 already.and do you get nerds back when they win or is it just 10 every 2 hours.

Once you spend your nerds, they’re gone. The event certainly will be easier with a good list of friends.
I have read all answers related to Archer Lisa and Castle recycle… I get that you have to get through a quest to unlock them… BUT… my question is… where is this prize? I have earned it with my coins (I have 668) and see it colored in in my prize list, said it was in my inventory… but it is not there. I see the Homer Barbarian/Barbarian/Homer in my inventory, but no Lisa… does she SHOW UP after I get through the quest or should she already be there waiting to be unlocked?
Hmm mine is showing locked at the very end of my inventory (last thing in there). It just shows the castle…if you don’t see it at all best thing to do is contact EA on it. Could be something specific going on with your game they’ll need to go in and address.

I didn’t know that our nerds disappear. I bought quite a few at the beginning so I could at least attack 2 buildings on each of my 100 neighbours, but they are gone! I don’t have many donuts, so this is disappointing too. And it’s very limiting because there’s not much point in visiting all my neighbours. Most of them have no dollar signs to tap, and with only a few nerds each time, I can’t attack all my neighbours. Since we can attack 5 times a day, I’d need 500 nerds. That’s a lot of donuts! I have a lot of great neighbours and I like to visit them every day. But now I have to choose who to visit. Am I missing something here?
Also, I had some confusion when this first started about vandalizing, but it looks like my neighbours are also confused. I have had all of my buildings vandalized every day from neighbours who never vandalize. i’m on the no vandalize list, as are my neighbours. EA should have said something about this at the beginning.
I have to say, so far I’m disappointed with this update. I thought it would be fun, but it’s much too limiting.

Your nerd production increases markedly when you get more castles and then level them up. I wouldn’t buy any more. Your castles will unlock as you go through the questline. Lisa after Part 9 and then Bart shortly after that. As for vandalizing, I think people may just be hitting them because there’s nothing else to tap. Hopefully the event becomes more fun for you.

I re-read my post and I sure sound like a whiner, LOL! It’s not as bad as I make it out to be. But I’m not getting the prizes that I’ve earned, which makes it less fun. I’ve been in contact with EA about my missing prizes and they are working on it.

Called the ea help desk re: not being able to clear task for defending your town with a cheater. Not surprisingly, no help! Recommend everyone use the ea forum post to complain – only way this glitch will be noticed and hopefully fixed!

So, if this event ends October 7th, what does that mean for the Halloween event? I don’t mean to sound ungrateful or anything for this update, but Halloween is literally the one event I’ve been looking forward to all year. Pretty much ever since the last one ended. And if this one ends October 7, then that I guess means the Halloween one will either be shorter (which would SUCK) or would just start later and end later (which would feel really weird if it’s halfway through November and we’re still doing Halloween). Just curious what other people thought…
No idea on Halloween. All we can do is wait and see what EA has up their sleeves for after this.
Why is my barberian homer and homer barberian locked in inventory?
They unlock as you progress in the questline. After they both drink x2 at Moe’s, there’s a quest that has to do with the unlock and then the skins become available.
