Update 10pm EDT: An update just hit the Google Play store…this adds nothing new to the game at the moment, so it’s most likely just glitch/bug fixes. And/or preparation for the new phase in 6 hours!

Just a little reminder that in just about 8 hrs from now (0800GMT, 4am EDT) the Ray Guns will switch to Long Protein Strings. And any Ray Gun prizes you have yet to win will lock up and you will no longer be able to earn Ray Guns to win them.
So….if you’re not quite at the Hover-Copter, in the next few hours try to wrap up your squishing and see if you can earn those extra Ray Guns to get there! (Remember to check out our end of Phase 2 tips)
I know a lot of you have MANY questions regarding the phase change…so I’m going to try and tackle as many as I can below…
What time do the Ray Guns change to Protein Strings?
Timer is set for 0800GMT (4am EDT). So that’s when it should change.
I’m so close to winning the Hover-Copter, is there any way I can hold off updating till I get it?
No. This is an automatic update configured with time coding. So that means at 0800 GMT the Ray Guns will disappear and Long Protein Strings will roll in. There’s no way to stop this…
I don’t have everything, did I completely miss my chance to get the Ray Gun Prizes?
No. The good news is with the introduction of the next phase the Ray Gun prizes (Bulldozer-saurs and Hover-Copter) will move to craftable items (if you haven’t won them). So you can get a second chance at earning them via the Make-A-Thing Workshop!
When will Pirate Airship leave?
That’s not scheduled to leave until November 2nd.
What about Devil Flanders, Witch Marge, Frog Prince, Freak Mobile, Bad Dream House, House of Evil etc?
These items arrived in our game just has the Ray Gun Phase was hitting. There is a GREAT chance that they will be leaving tomorrow morning with the Ray Guns. So…while I don’t know for sure…IF you’re thinking about buying one (or more) of these premium items do so before they leave the game. It is entirely possible if you put off getting them…they will be gone by the morning. So make your final decisions with the thought in mind that they could be gone very soon…

Will we be seeing Gil soon?
You never know just when Gil will be making an appearance. However, past on past donut sales…I don’t expect to see him until Christmas. So if you’re holding off on buying an old premium item looking for Gil…do so at your own risk. Especially since these items tend to disappear quickly.
I have all the Ray Gun Prizes, should I hold off opening Treat Bags until the Protein Strings hit?
It’s not a bad idea. I don’t know for sure those Treat Bags will contain Protein Strings…but if you already have all the prizes it can’t hurt 🙂

Will the Giant Pumpkin, Pumpkin House, Spooky House and Hugo still be Craftable Tomorrow?
They should be. It doesn’t look like they have a timer linked to them…but with EA you just never know.
What About The Regillian Queen? Will she finally be in tomorrow?
Seems very likely that she will be!
So my friends, that should cover all the basics for finishing out the Ray Guns and ushering in the Protein Strings!
To sum up…Ray Guns ending at 0800GMT (4am EDT) on 10/31…so get all the last ones you can! When they end (and there is no delaying the end of them) Protein Strings will arrive with a whole new set of prizes. However, you’ll still be able to craft Ray Gun Prizes you might have missed via Make-A-Thing! Oh and if you’re looking to add any of those returning premium items…do so before 0800GMT or you just might miss out on them! (again not 100% sure they’ll disappear tomorrow..but better to be safe than sorry!) 🙂

Going into Phase 3 and guess my surprise!!! I had already made it to the 7100 Ray Guns and gotten the hovercraft… Even did the “Tap on the Hovercraft” task… And I just played right now as Phase 3 began… And went to the crafting menu, and-surprise!- the Hovercraft is listed as an option to craft. Went to the prize menu to see my collected prizes and the Hovercraft is NOT there. How is it possible that this stupid game did not save my progress for that! I did not have any network issues that might have brought this on. I am so annoyed.

Apparently it’s going around. If you look in your Ray Gun Prize box it may show that you didn’t win it, even if you did. Mine’s showing no Hover-Copter…but it’s still in my Springfield. So yes…you can craft another one. BUT I wouldn’t. 1. you don’t know if it’ll be able to be placed in your Springfield and 2. why spend the items on that when there is new stuff to craft?
Got the next phase, burns monster, super collider and blackhole and ghost zapper are back aswell as craft able queen, shrub, gold treat bags and tribal hut

Does anyone know about this prestige bonus? A permanent rigellian is attached to the reverends head. When tapped it collects ray guns and bags. The quest is asking to collect 500 Ray guns then it gives a silver bag. I’ve done this 3 times now and I’m tired! Got a ton of bags from it too, but is it going to end at some point? At first I thought it was a bug.
Yup…it’s what pops up when you’ve won all the prizes in that phase…
Got both prizes. Now I’m waiting for 1am here on the west coast to start tapping again. And also thanks for the tip about saving up the bags for tomorrow. I wonder if the final prize will be a skin for Mr Burns?
Kind of interesting they changed the +3 to +2 on the ray gun. Playing just the same but now I’m 300 short of unlocking that copter thing. Really whatever though. The general concept of this event is fun but I honestly don’t care about any of these prizes. I am not a huge family guy fan but their game is making Halloween way more entertaining.

Didn’t know where else to post this but I just looked in my inventory and I suddenly have 2 more Human Test Subjects (I’d crafted one about a week ago) & a rigellian shrub – is this a glitch?? I definitely didn’t craft the extra test subjects cause I’m saving for the Great Pumpkin. Wondered if there is some explanation? Looking forward to DNA strands in a few hours – let’s finish strong!!
They can be found in your Treat Bags.

off topic, but, for the past two days I’ve been having trouble moving & placing items. 7 times out of 10 when I press the check mark or the x it takes up to 2 minutes for anything to happen. it freezes the entire game as well as my ipad. i can’t close the app till it unfreezes or I force power off the entire system. anyone else having issues?
Everyone’s getting hit with various crash/freeze issues at one time or another. But this is interesting with that particular action. Try hard closing your game…and uninstalling and reinstalling it. That may help clear it up.
i can’t hard close the game. it literally freezes my ipad completely & I have to force power off the entire ipad. I uninstalled & reinstalled before posting. I also installed it on my boyfriend’s ipad that is running a different iOS & contine to still have the issue. I haven’t had the problem on my iPhone account though. hopegully it’ll stop, I’m trying to redecorate! thank you for the response.
Try contacting EA…let them know what’s going on. Could be a specific issue with your game.
Personally, I can’t wait. The past several days have been a bit on the boring side of this event as I have at least one of all the craft-able items and all the prizes from probes and ray guns. So I haven’t been working towards anything. I’ve been just collecting and piling up treats for future offerings in phase 3.
Just got the hover copter with 3 1/2 hours to spare. That’s with saving my treat bags and grem-aliens from yesterday. Think I’ve found one of the very few bonuses to starting work at 5am – the chance to play for 5 mins first thing in the morning. Should really finish getting ready but got too excited to have completed it that I had to post.

Just looked at my game and it’s now saying I haven’t got the hover copter on the prizes screen and it’s available to craft but I have still got it placed in my town. Weird, will see if changes when I log back in.
Yea I’ve got the same thing going on too…it’s an odd glitch.
I hope the doughnut torture device is still available to craft tomorrow. I’m getting close on that one.

Hi all. I’ve been playing for a couple of months, but I’m kind of new to the community and sometimes I’m not sure about strategy and how things work.
For the grem-aliens, is it better for my neighbors to let them stick around the full four hours? I don’t want to be a bad neighbor.
Personally I think squishing them is the best…then everyone wins.

I know we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out, but if the Rigellian Tribal Hut ends up needing 300 chocolate bars like I’ve read it will, isn’t that making it close to impossible to get it before the event ends? I’ve only got about 429 chocolate bars overall and if I do the math correctly, I will more than likely be short about 40-ish from the Rigellian Tribal Hut. That’s the only craftable prize I’m thinking I won’t be able to get without using donuts, which is kind of a bummer. I have to hope I get about 80 chocolate bars from 4 UFOs and that seems unlikely.
I just managed to get the hover copter. I have 2 dozen or so treats bags saved up for phase 3. Not sure how much I like any of the prizes, really depends on what the final prize actually is ( a skin, character or decoration).
I have purchased Witch Marge, Devil Flanders and the House of Evil so far. Missed Count Burns and crossing my fingers for the Krustyland ride. Still can not decide on the Ray Gun.
Is it just me or is anyone else getting really sucky things from shooting down ufos? My last 12 have been bronze treat bags :/

I’m ready the next phase to start have 190 treat bags 110 gremalien eggs unfortunately I cant stop myself from using my ammo :(. This next phase should be pretty challenging, but I’ve breezed through the last 2.
Iv gotten every prize you can got so far and I gotta say its kindof annoying that not a single one increases percentage. Aside from the spooky walls. They all look cool and I’m glad to have them but really the only one worth the effort is Hugo because he’s another playable character
With a sad quest… Hugo should disappear into the attic after Halloween until next year. Than create a full Quest involving the twist wether Bart or Hugo is the bad twin, like in the series!!

Honestly, I like the copter way better than the dino. The dino is off looking, it doesn’t match with anything else in the game. I like the hover actions and it looks super cute parked behind Ziff Corp.
I’m slightly perturbed by the sheer amounts of protein strings required to hit the end goal in the next section. I’m hoping each tap is worth more than the two from the ray gun taps. We’ll see!
In another topic, some of you said that Witch Marge was the best item to buy. At the end of the event, do you still keep with this ideia? Even if the person has gotten all the prizes and won’t need to craft them in fase 3?
At this point I still think Witch Marge is a great investment & one of the best premium items you can purchase..
… because she can lower the crops growing time by 4h each time you use her to do her spell (her 4h task)
Question: does it pay off? I mean the XP needed to get the bonuslevel and 3 donuts?
I guess eventually it will…but it’ll take a lot of XP to do so.
I can’t agree more. Her speed up crops feature proved very helpful in other events such as Valentines and Easter.
I still think Witch Marge is one of the best premium items to buy, and in my opinion a good value, too:
– Premium payout (50% more money/XP) for Marge’s tasks from that point on whenever the skin is equipped
– The cauldron itself provides a 2.25% overall money/XP bonus for your town (roughly a 50 donut value all by itself)
– Witch Marge has a unique ability to speed up crops growing at Cletus’s farm; last Easter having her was a big advantage for people growing carrots to produce extra rabbits
– And during the Halloween event, she has a 16 hour task for trick-or-treating, earning silver or gold bags
I wish I would have known that before the update… I would have bought her. She appears to be gone from the store now. 😞

Oh I know, and I appreciate the work you all put into the site. I just didn’t know how helpful she’d be for future events… I’m still catching up on what I’ve missed having just started relatively recently. I’ll get the hang of it. ☺
She can speed up crop harvest, anytime! Great investment, for that alone. Also, cruising around on her broom is nice.
Witch Marge is usable year-round for speeding up crops; also, it seems she did something special during the Easter event but I don’t recall what it was now.
Phase 2 was OK. Hover copter looks cool, but it’s too big. I assume that there won’t be any new craft items? I already have two spooky houses, and one pumpkin house, and I’m close to crafting another pumpkin house. It would be nice if there was something new to craft in phase 3.

Not really enjoyed this phase prize wise, but the story was fun too (Kang chasing Homer was funny)
