Phase 7 of Turkey Day is now active…as you may have seen when you finished the first part of the Thanksgiving Questline this pops up:
And well…today is Saturday November 29th…so what’s in store today?
In addition to the Gil deal…which is still going on….
Homer gets things started today… with something to build (it will be placed in your inventory for free)
Followed by a 16hr quest for Krusty.
For those that don’t like to know I’ll post the details of what today’s prize is below the fold….

Today’s prize is….
The Stomach Staple Center!
This building is 6×9 in size, earns $120, 12xp/6hrs and is an instant build!
Homer will prompt you to build this. At that point it can be found in your inventory & again it’s an instant build. Once built Krusty will have a 16hr task to use the Staple Center.
And that’s it for today!
Remember…there’s 1 task released each day. Some task award a “reward-a-roony” while others are just tasks. So far no prizes have been awarded, but stay tuned tomorrow to see what’s in store for us then!

This will have to wait until tonight for me, as I have Homer hating Gil more (and I’m right on board with him, as I have 234 donuts, so I can’t quite afford Barney) and 13 hours to go on that…cool to get a free building, though.
I’m almost same one less donut it is annoying . I have only myself to blame if I didn’t slack off last few weeks I would have the donuts

Yesterday we had to put Homer in 24 hours of hate Gil ????

Never mind, I just realized Homer is still tied up on a Gil task which would explain the task not yet triggering.
Or does a task continue over to the next day if you arent able to do it yet? Should I rush homers task and have him stop hating Gil?

The only thing I have seen new so far today is a short dialogue after the Lisa/Ned meal task from yesterday completed. Ned apparently ate some hot peppers and a box popped up suggesting I purchase the Heimlich machine. No new task in my task list though. Do I have to purchase the Heimlich machine with clams to trigger the Homer task?
No. Homer just has to be free. Make sure he’s free in your town…
Oh no!! I put Homer to a “Hate Gil” task for 24hrs. How could I know that Homer would start today’s events?? I don’t want to miss this stomach staple center. Looks so funny!!

What about Homers task to be mad at Gil for 24 hours? I can’t unlock him from that because he’s in his own house!
I was asked to buy the Heimlich machine (for donuts) but I don’t see the stomach staple place. I am pretty sure I am up to speed on tasks but I suppose Homer is finishing a 24hr black Friday thing first. Is that what might be holding up the staple center? Do I need to buy the Heimlich thing and, if so, what other benefits are there to that purchase?
Homer has to be free. You don’t need the Heimlich machine, it’s just a teaser.

Ugh. Of course Homer is on the 24-hour task to hate Gil even more (why’d they give us that?) I figured that task was limited to this Black Friday event, so I set him off on it. He should be done at 8pm tonight, so if guess it’s not so bad…just annoying.
Poor planning by EA.
One tip I’ve learned (the hard way) is to not send my characters on any tasks in the morning, until I’ve finished tapping on all of them (to end their overnight tasks) and seeing what all of the quest tasks are that get triggered. (This has been especially necessary for me, as I’ve had a couple of non-event quests going on at the same time as these events.) That way, I can more effectively prioritize and schedule my tasks. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s definitely been a big improvement for my gameplay.
Yes, very annoying that the trigger character is caught up in another mandatory task. I sent Homer to do it thinking that there would be no way he’d be needed. (I commented as well when this thread went up but it’s in moderation, not sure why. I didn’t cuss or nothin’!)
This means when Homer finally finishes and adding Krusty’s 16 hours it’ll be tomorrow before this one wraps up. I hope that doesn’t bog down the kick off of the Sunday mini-quest. I’ve been looking forward to them at midnight Pacific in my role as the Sky Finger God.
Everybody’s comments and replies go into moderation before they get posted. It’s just how they work here! (And personally, I think it’s a good thing — I’ve seen unmoderated blogs that are full of spam and junk that distract from the subject of the blog or that become flame wars before the host can step in and stop it!)
Homer is still on his 24 hour mad at Gil task, so I’ll have to wait. At least I can still send Lisa and Flanders on the table task while waiting, it’s so funny! Thanks for the daily info, it’s been very helpful! 😃
All I got this morning was Gil explaining to Homer about how the rebate works and now I have Homer “hating Gil more” for 24 hours. Eek! If I don’t pull him off this task and wait the 24 hours, will I miss getting the Stomach Staple Center? Or will it just delay til Sunday?

I suspect I’m not alone in having sent Homer on 12hr, then 24hr tasks to hate Gil. There’ll be time to build and send Krusty on the task but it won’t be totally straight-forward. Are EA going out of their way to be unhelpful?
You’re not the only one. They just figure most people should have him free at some point today. But if not it’ll free up tomorrow…

Is it wise to fasten the task using donut so that I can start today’s task or maybe I can just wait for him to finish the first task?
Sadly we neither restore Hormer nor Simpson’s house to cancel the task.

Don’t use donuts to speed it up. You’ll be able to get it once Homer is free..
Wow, this isn’t what happened for me today at all. I had a dialogue between Homer and Gil about the difference between a discount and a rebate of donuts, and then sent Homer on the 24 hour task of “Hate Gil even more”.
Am I missing something?
That was yesterday’s task…once Homer is done this should trigger.
Noooo, I sent my Homer on the Hate Gil-quest for 24 hours. So he can’t trigger the building, and he won’t be free until tomorrow. I can’t cancel him, because he’s in the Simpsons House. Does that mean I will miss the building? Please no… 🙁

I am a bit confused, is this the reward for the Homer questline ? I’m still hating Gil even more, around 13 hours to go :-\
All I got for Lisa & Flanders was a good old “Insert donuts to continue” pop-up….. very disappointing IMHO.

I just sent homer on a 24 Hr task for the Gil think. I hope i can still build this tomorrow.
I do like the 1 quest a day approach.
I’m assuming Homer has to be free to kick it off. Mine hasn’t started, but my Homer has been tied up with a (if I recall correctly, a 24 hour) long task of being mad at Gil even more. He should finish up around 4pm EST, so that is when I am assuming this day’s Thanksgiving task will kick off for me. I wish the Black Friday/Gil related tasks didn’t tie him up for so long knowing that he needs to be available for the Thanksgiving tasks as well.

I havent been able to log on to tsto for the past few hours. Tried force closing, rebooting, buy nothing. Just spinning donut of death. Cant even contact EA. Family guy and other apps are working fine. Is there an Origin issue? Guess no more gil deals for me!!

I have obviously had a senior moment with this thanksgivingaroonee not sure what Homer is doing today in my a town and my b town is totally out of sinq.
Still her indoors has gone outdoors Xmas shopping so hopefully I will catch up….in between watching the sport.
Homer is on a 24 hour quest to hate Gil, not a nice one really. But do I rush it to get the staple building or will it be available tomorrow?

Argh! My Homer is of course right in the middle of Hate Gil for 24 hours task. Since it’s completed inside the Simpson’s house I don’t think there’s a way to interrupt him. Is there?

Thanks, I was pretty sure Homer and Lisa are the two you can’t interrupt so thanks for confirming that the estrogen drain hasn’t robbed me of the important data.
Umm, does Homer and or Krusty need to be free for the quest, because Homer is still being and at Gill in my town for the next 12 hours., so in 12 hours I can start Krustys Quest.
And what happens if he or Krusty are still doing the long quest and the next one starts without the current one being finished?
