Christmas Present Prizes: Breaking Down the Nativity

Hey Howdy Hey My Elfish Tappers!

Well….unless you’ve been caught in a major snowstorm you know that Christmas has arrived in Springfield! A light snow is falling & Santa has arrived in town!   By now we’re all busy sending those elves and residents to the workshop to make presents!

With this event EA is repeating a similar prize structure to what they did for Halloween, only more prizes, and releasing the event (and prizes) in stages.  For the first phase, which lasts until Christmas Eve (12/24), you can win 8 prizes by collecting Presents.  The eight and final prize is awarded at 14,000 Presents and it’s the Nativity.

Let’s take a closer look at this living Nativity, and just what happens when you add it to your Springfield..

Note: I know many of you are not here yet.  And don’t worry you’re not behind.  If you’re following Bunny’s calendar you have until the 23rd to reach 14,000 presents.  I just know from the comments that many of you will be reaching this at some point over the weekend, so I wanted to make sure all of the details were out there prior to the weekend.  So don’t panic if you haven’t gotten the Nativity yet.  You’ve still got plenty of time.

WARNING Mild Dialogue Spoilers Ahead

Once you’ve collected 14,000 Presents the Nativity will automatically be awarded to you and you’ll see this popup:

Much like Friendship Prizes, if you’re visiting a neighbor when you hit the 14,000 Presents mark this message will still popup and this Nativity will be waiting for you in your inventory once you get back to your Springfield.

The Nativity Scene will be placed in your inventory, so you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.  Just tap on the “use” icon to place it in your Springfield:

Before this is  placed in your Springfield some short dialogue between Homer and Lisa will popup & some tasks will be required for Homer, Lisa, Marge & Bart.  Here’s the full rundown:

Our Home and Nativity Land

Homer: Okay, if we do this right, we can finally beat flanders for “Best Nativity Scene” in the Evergreen Terrace Holiday competition.
Lisa: As an occasionally practicing Buddhist, I’m not sure I want to be part of this.
Homer: Dose Buddhism have angels?
Lisa: Well, there are avatars of those who have passed beyond the circles of time and then returned to help others achieve Nirvana.
Homer: Fine.  You’re an angel.

This, in my opinion, is by far the best prize of this event.  Something characters actually use and it looks AWESOME!  A great prize for the final Present Prize!

So here’s the deal with this living Nativity:

-Decoration for your Springfield
-Tasks for Homer, Marge, Lisa & Bart there
-Improves Righteousness (+10).  So for those worried about vandalism, this will help.
-Only animated when in use

So that about covers all the details on the final present prize, the Nativity!

What do YOU think of the Nativity?  Have you won it yet?  Where are you in the present prizes?  Many left to go?  Ready for phase 2?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. You mentioned in the “nativity run down” that its a 16hr task for Homer, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Once completing the task we earn 100 presents. Now my question is: can we continue to send these 4 characters on the 16hr task AND still earn 100 presents each time or is it just a one time deal for the 100 presents when completed for the first time? Thanks for all your help, you guys rock! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

  2. Ahhh…***apparently I can’t get the last prize (again..) It looks so great I can just get the bone (whatever) santa 🙁 Oh well..

  3. Agreed that Nativity is thee best Prize to win (the fact Characters interact with it makes that a no brainer) 🙂

  4. I have to say, I love this prize!!! I am so stoked to have gotten it already…now time to get some donuts lol.

  5. Will these be permanent tasks, please say yes! Can’t wait to find out tomorrow who the mystery character is

  6. I’m kind of nervous to send the main 4 on 16 hour tasks with the final tunnel tomorrow and very thing else. I really like this item in particular and the whole event

  7. definitely not going to get this, though actually think it was impossible without a full friends list and a lot of activity.
Nevermind wasn’t really that keen on this event seemed like a bit of a let down after awesome halloween.

    • I feel the other way. I didn’t like Halloween. I had a full list of neighbors and I hardly got anything during that event. I’ve gotten so much out of this amazing Christmas event and I feel the excitement being restored with all the gifts and rewards and decorations and snow.

  8. I thought the totem pole was the best prize; but I can’t wait to get this! I love that it comes with the family quest line

  9. When I first saw the nativity it didn’t make my ‘must have’ list for this event. But now, having seen the break down, I HAVE to have it!!!

  10. I’m at 13200 and I will probably get it early tomorrow if not tonight from the tunnel, neighbor visits, and toy making characters.

  11. Just a quick request, although I am one of the many that have not reached the 14000 presents, could you please post sizes of these sort of items, just so we can all start clearing / shuffling / moving our lil’ Springfields in preparation? Cheers 🙂

  12. Size of nativity scene?

  13. I have exactly 10450… I hope I make it to 14000.. If I have all of the doors done except for tomorrows and I havent missed a day which means I’ve gotten an Xtra three elves so far from the daily player bonus… So 27 elves and everyspringfeilder who can earn presents, and one more door…. do you think it’ll be enough to get to 14000

  14. I’m not there yet, but working hard to achieve it! I LOVE the Interaction between all of the Springfield characters doing the same task! That’s a hoot! I am so glad I found your site and the game! Thanks for all you do!

  15. I am only 800 away, so the pressure is off. At first I thought it was a rather bland looking prize, but now realize it is interactive! Thank you! Bart does look funny as the baby.
Just curious – Do you mean to say in your opinion that this is the best prize for the entire event, or for just part 1?

  16. I got the nativity scene and am working on the Present Bonus. My total presents at the bottom shows 14,345 but the Santa finger on the left side says I am only 331 into 2,000. Any idea what would account for a 14 present difference? Thanks in advance.

    • Lag from Neighbor visits? Try logging out, restart device, and log back in. See if it helps. If not, you can always contact EA .

    • I think thats because when you hit the 14000 presents limit, you probably gather 14014 presents, and then start the task that gives you the chance to earn donuts. It triggers after you win the last prize of the first phase. Something similar happened during halloween, when you won silver bags after clearing al the prizes. Be carefull, because every time you hit 2000 you have to clear that task and start the next, otherwise you’ll loose presents

  17. Just got the Nativity scene Whooooooot!!!!!!

  18. So cool that Bart, Lisa, Marge, & Homer are the characters in the Nativity.
I couldn’t agree more that this is the best of all the prizes.
    Happy Christmas everyone!

  19. Current on 12,681 presents. Still have today’s Elf Tunnel task to finish and I will make it in time for the bonus, plus a round of neighbour visiting after 10pm UK time. I probably will have this by Sunday at the latest. I’ve been averaging about 1000 presents a day just by sending all those that can to make things in the workshop, collecting from the decorations, dropping in frequently to set the elves going again and completing the daily Elf Tunnel in under 24hrs. Also getting lots of Feds from my lovely neighbours and I try to visit my neighbours roughly every 24hrs.

  20. wish it wasn’t such a religious item they were giving away

    • It’s no more religious than Springfield Church…or the Sponsored Church.

      • Or the bhuddist temple or the golden calf or the countless hindu god statues… there are tons of religious symbols in the game. I think Judaism is a little under represented, but religious symbols of all sorts are all over the game and the show. That’s just part of the Simpson’s.

    • A religious item at Christmas? Um… for shame? 😛

    • I just wish they were making fun of the religious symbol in the game, like they once did. Remember when The Simpsons actually poked fun at things like this? *sigh* My show has lost its edge 😩

    • Yeah, those religious symbols for an event celebrating the birth of Christ really are a bummer, eh? We should dumb it down like everything else and call it the “holiday” event, and forget using Krusty for any Hannukah at any point, or anything else remotely potentially offensive. Of course, then there’s those who find the religion of atheism offensive….. Probably the Simpsons should just be cancelled and the game shut down. Phew. Crisis of the “there’s always one” hypersensitive person averted….

  21. I skipped the dialogue part of this post, but this is way better than I thought it would be. Hopefully I’ll make it, I’m not even at 10K yet.

  22. I got it this morning. Looks pretty funny without Bart in the scene since I’m waiting until after he does today’s daily tunnel to start him on the 16 hour task.

  23. I’m about 2300 away. *deep breath* I’ve got 5 days. I can do this.

    I hope. >.>

  24. Should be getting this today. I really like how EA is doing events in phases now, makes getting all the prizes a lot less stressful.

  25. I only need 7,449 more gifts. I doing think I’m going to make it.

  26. Weird that they didn’t have bart be a wise man or lamb or something and have maggie be jesus since she’s actually a baby and hasn’t appeared much in game. *shrug* still really cool item. 🙂

    • Couldn’t agree more. Maggie is my most wanted character in the game. I have Number 51, an alien that appears for maybe 10 seconds in the show, Chester Dupree, need I say more. And although I enjoy oddball characters like Abe Lincoln running around my Springfield, I want all the Simpsons!

    • I agree it should be Maggie as baby jebus. They really missed a prime opportunity to utilize her especially with so many tappers requesting her to be playable character in the game. But just a tiny let down to such an awesome prize.

    • In hindsight Maggie is the most fitting as baby Jebus ’cause, well, she’s the perpetual baby in the series but since this game is based on the TV show and almost all of the items are faithful adaptations from said show, Bart is the most fitting since in that particular episode Bart was baby Jebus, Marge was Mary, Full of Grace (“That’s not all she’s full of”) said Homer as Joseph, “Quiet you!” replied by Lisa as the Angel… 😊

Just got this prize 2 days ago and I was so happy about the Simpsons family rendetion of the nativity scene. 😀😀😀

  27. I am about 300-500 presents behind were I should be. Having to lose a day downloading each update is killing me with these events. I wish they would release the update 2 days before it is scheduled to go live. Hopefully I will get Bonestorm Santa today (I was really hoping we would be playable). I might make the nativity, I might not. It will be close.

  28. Just a lil typo – Make Bart be Baby Jesus(Jebus!!)

  29. I just received this last night and it is awesome, I was super excited for it and it lived up to expectations.
