Hey there Hoppereenos!

Due to POPULAR request….we’ve moving up our open thread time so that our friends outside of the US can participate too! Let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Now…enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? Time for another Open Thread!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So…here is your Open Thread. Did you watch the special Simpsons Mythbusters? What did you think of the outcome NFL Playoffs are in full swing, who do you think will make the Superbowl?

So chat about the Simpsons, Mybusters, TSTO, the New Years, NFL or anything else you can think of! Can’t wait to chat with you all, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

Time Is Up…or Is it?

Update #1: Take down is now live on iOS

If you have an iOS device you’ll find the Christmas removal update in your App Store (Android and Amazon yours will follow soon behind). Remember…you don’t have to update right away. If you’re holding on to get more bells you can keep your game (for now)…eventually EA will force you to update (you’ll get a message in game saying update to latest version). But you can hold onto Christmas for now…

As far as the update goes…naturally I left my iPod at home today so I’m not able to download it just yet. But from looking at the game files it looks like it’s purely a removal and there’s nothing new added…yet. I’ll keep digging to see what I find…but for now update if you want to get rid of the snow in your Springfield!

Update #2: Reader LM reports Sideshow You is working again after the update. ~~Still waiting for it to hit my Android phone, once it does I’ll be able to confirm. But for now…check your Sideshow You to see if it’s working for you once again.~~ I can confirm it’s back to working.

Update #3: Removal Update has now hit the Google Play Store.
If you don’t see it (I didn’t) try restarting your phone. And yes…it comes with a poem in the app store..

Springfield might look a little different to you…but that’s just your eyes getting readjusted to the green instead of the snow. It always looks brighter after Christmas is over…

Oh and the Ice Castle does not melt!

Update #4: Fever snowmen melt (Burns & Homer), Kwik-E-Mart is back to paying out income, the Cannon Still fires, you can store the Workshop, Tunnel & Cannon Control building. Bunny will have a full rundown of all the changes…

Also, you cans till purchase the Small Islands.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The official clock in the game has run out….BUT you can still keep collecting bells (for now anyway). So if you still need those last minute bells to make it to the next prize (or donut bonus) keep pushing for it.

Just remember…you’re playing on “borrowed time” now and at any minute EA can pull the event plug on you. So proceed with caution!

A Christmas Extension Has Arrived!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well…it’s not a 5 day extension but it’s an extension nonetheless! A patch just hit our games correcting the massive date issues that have plagued us for all of Phase 2. We now have a NEW date in the mix and that date is….January 14th.

EA has given us a 1 day extension on Phase 2 of Christmas. The new end date and time is….January 14th, 2015..12:00pm EST (1700 GMT).

Hey Howdy Hey My Elfish Tappers!

Well….unless you’ve been partying a little too hard you know that Elves have taken over Springfield! Elves work hard and party even harder…so much so that even Santa bailed on Springfield! It’s your job to contain the Elves and send them back to the North Pole. In doing so you’ll earn Elf Bells..which will give you some awesome prizes!

With this event EA is repeating a similar prize structure to what they did for Halloween, only more prizes, and releasing the event (and prizes) in stages. For the second phase, which lasts until the event ends (Jan 13th), you can win 8 prizes by collecting Elf Bells. The Eight, and final, prize awarded at 22,500 Bells is the Tropical Island.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The snow in Springfield is falling and friends are calling…oh wait. Anyway, the snow is Springfield is falling and the store is full of premium items from Christmas past! It’s like 2 of Ebeneezer’s 3 ghosts are visiting us, as we’ve got premium items of Christmas past & Christmas present in our stores.

As with Christmases past (and other events) EA has decided to make old items new again, and give players who might have missed out on something a second chance to get it. Of course that second chance doesn’t come with out a price, as many of the returning items are premium.

Last Friday EA brought back Several items from Christmas past…although most are from recent past (like Phase 1)….Yes Guy, Holiday Tree, Present Depot, Christmas Totem & Elf Home…AND for the final installment they’ve released 3 new items (small Islands)!

I know many of you have been asking if these items are worth your Sprinkles. Well before you hit that confirm button…let’s break down the pros and cons and take a look and see if these items are worth YOUR donuts!
