Just a little note to say something should be coming later today & it looks pretty super!
It does look like there’s a big event coming via the files, at least another App Store download requirement. So be prepared for something to hit later today. Again it will be an app store download, so you won’t be able to get it just via an in-game update. Most likely, based on past events, this will hit later in the afternoon.
Remember no spoilers here…but as soon as it hits and we’ve confirmed everything via the game we’ll have the post up for you! But for now…it’s time to wear your underwear on the outside of your pants! 🙂

As far as I can tell, no. However, if the neighbor hasn’t updated yet it does count as vandalism.

Have to COMPLETELY agree, the textual and whole-Springfield update has never been done to this extent, and I must admit the TSTO team have outdone themselves!
I suspected a vigilante / hero / villain update (see weekly thread 😉 but this far surpasses expectations, the theme (please, please, please leave the text the same after the event, such a little thing makes it so much more Springfield!) with the “comic” update screens is fantastic (can you tell I am a collector of comics? By the by, just about to list my collection highlights on ebay… many first runs / first editions, such as TMNT 1-30ish…).
Looking forward to the many, many characters / costumes coming, good to see TSTO is not being smaller than the FGTQFS Comicon event!
Little things like the comic attention to the shading of trees! Ok, nerding out a bit too much!
First task appears to be a 30 minute one for Homer. Throwing pies in the Simpson house.
Just hit the App Store for iOS. I really hope you can get spider-pig. I would pay good money for that!

In addition to the expected appearance of Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy, I’d love some more tasks and maybe a new skin for Comic Book Guy.
I know we also just got a skin for Milhouse, but a “Biclops” skin would be cool for him too.

I am excited, but at the same time? I am wondering if this is a new quest for 2015 (it is happening between both Valentines and Saint Patricks, both were major quest in the past two years). I hope so because it will make up for EA”s mediocre start this year 🙂
Gah, figures. I do have my characters on 1 hour tasks, thinking something was lurking, but I forgot to save my neighbor visits. Cleared all 100 right before this news was released. Looks like if the update requires friendship visits I start tomorrow morning, bummer. Can’t wait thou, I was getting a little ansey 😁.
I did that too, but am reassuring myself that most of the events have kicked off with a 24 hour task the last few times. So, we may be ok. Fingers crossed!
If the post when the update hits isn’t reminisce of “it’s a bird, it’s a plane,” you’ll be missing out on one grand opportunity lol 😀
Jokes aside though, I really hope the speculation is true. I would love a “super” update! I’m a huge superhero geek and the game teased that so bad last week. Whatever happens though, I am so ready for an app store update.

I came across a list of what supposedly will be in the update. All I’ll say is I’m glad I’ve been saving donuts, and I’ll probably be buying land soon rather than the D’Amico Summer Home. Very excited.
