Note: Make sure you get another in-game update download screen. If you don’t see it, hard close and restart TSTO.
UPDATE BUNNY: We do not know if it is due to the major issues with Apple Market Down or something else, but Gil was pulled from the game again. For those that bought the car and had it taken away (mine is still there) please contact EA right away if your donuts were taken and not returned.
In the meantime, we will keep an eye out to see if the Gil Deal makes a return.

We interrupt your Superheros tapping to bring you….”The Homer”!
Our old friend Gil is back in Springfield and this time he’s selling “The Homer” Car! How awesome is that?
This is an in game update that will hit your devices bringing Gil back to Springfield! Note: I had to hard close and restart TSTO to see the update, so if you’re not seeing it try hard closing and restarting TSTO…
So just what’s the deal this time? Let’s take a look…
For those that don’t remember “The Homer” is the car Homer created for his brother Herb Powell….could this mean Herb is coming soon? I certainly hope so!
When you tap on Gil in your town he’ll start up some dialogue:
Gil: Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf Ball. This car’ll get ya anywhere you want to go!
Homer: No way!
Gil: Yes way! Also, it was design by a former metal patient! And believe me, it shows!
So for 82 donuts you can own this epic failure!
If you purchase it you’ll see…
Gil: Congratulations on your purchase. Did I mention it comes with somebody’s garage door opener?
If you decide against it you’ll see…
Gil: This deathtrap of a car is going to be the ruin of old Gil!
If you don’t purchase it you’ll still be able to access it from your store menu (or from Gil walking around)..
Here are a few quick specs on “The Homer”:
The Homer is 5×3 in size. It’s an animated decoration, when you tap on it the lights flash. Also, it adds a 3% bonus to all cash and XP

If you decide to purchase it…keep Homer free because he will have a small questline with it:

Homer: Hey, Herbie. It’s your illegitimate half brother, Homer Simpson. Sorry we lost touch, buddy.

Homer: You sound just like Marge when she accepts my apologies.
Now….time for a little speculation. This Addict (along with Bunny) both think this means we could see Herb in the very near future! How awesome would that be?

I didn’t see any Gill or an update on my iPad air today and I’ve been playing all day every few hours, and I always shut the game from running in the background so it loads fresh each time I play.
But if the Car Deal shows up I know I’d get it.
Not only App store, but also the Play Store as well (for pulling the car off the shelf) after the 2nd update. However, whether it back on the shelf or not, I won’t purchase that since there’s a really high possibility that we have to surrender our precious donuts for the stage 4 of the event (as we did in all the previous stages).
Even if I had the doughnuts, I’d pass on The Homer. Gimme something cool and cute like a Volkswagen Bunny… I mean Rabbit!

I got the in game update but NOTHING in my game changed I shut down and hard booting (iPhone 6) and still nothing no Gil no car nothing :-(. I really want this and they also made a hot wheel of this car 👍:-)

I went for it in the store and it was gone 🙁 Then I thought perhaps I misread how long we had to buy it. Perhaps it was hours instead of days. Perhaps Gil was speaking in code like Spock in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in memory of Leonard Nimoy.
Well, I’m guessing it will be back. I did notice another game update this afternoon. I assumed it was bug fixes, not taking away Gil’s offer.
I got it right away! Awesome I hope I see Herb soon.
They should offer it for the original asking price of $82,000 (game currency) after this fiasco.
I’d be mega furious if they did. Id be watning my donuts back!

Is it just me or does anyone else see the irony in Gil’s promo shot? That the car is placed on our roads, but you can’t actually do that!
The Homer left my store, couldn’t buy donuts and now it’s gone… Stupid iTunes! Anyone else with this problem?

Never mind, this is my fault for not reading and just posting.
iTunes was down I understand, I couldn’t purchase donuts this morning, now it’s fixed, I bought some donuts, but now I don’t see the homer anywhere. Is it done being offered already or will it come up again?
It was pulled back, it’ll probably be back up soon. We think it had a lot to do with the itunes issue

So I go to town buy card for doughnuts an the gil deal is already taken down. I contacted era an they had to take it down for some technical reason. I think that’s kinda shady of them an we as consumers deserve a better explain station as to why this is happening an what to expect as far as a final result goes regarding the deal. They have a Facebook page. They should use it for stuff like this IMO.

Another update hit and now the offer is gone. Thank goodness I did not buy it.
Unless Gil is taking a quick detour to Moe’s tavern, I don’t see him in my town even after hard closing several times, going to krustyland, and other Springfield. The update seemed to download fine.
I turned down the car, and now Gil is missing from my town, and the option to buy it from the store has been removed too. Has this happened to anyone else??
Is there a pre-req for Gil to show up in your town? I didn’t get him after the update.

I’ve force-closed several times, but Gil still doesn’t show up. Anyone else having this issue still? I’d contact EA, but maybe not having access will save me some donuts =).

My Gil appeared once, I passed to check it out here, & now he is gone & no car to choose! Help, I logged off, shut it down, hard restart, & no Gil or car… Any other advise to get him/it back?
Still no Gil after logging off account, going to Krustyland and back, hard reset, and re-installing the game.
On both iPad Air and Iphone 5.
Anyone else having this issue. Do you have to wait a certain amount of time for Gil to show up and then click him or is it auto trigger? I have all characters free.
