Well we’re finally here..the end of the Superheros Event! Tomorrow morning at 0800 GMT (4am EDT) the Superhero action will end. So make sure you’ve finished up Issue 4 before then or you’ll miss out on Radioactive Man!
So what else ends tomorrow morning? ALL remaining Superhero content will be pulled from the game…so now’s your chance to buy any of those items/characters you’ve been contemplating.

I don’t want to step on toes, if the answer is “no comment”, I will understand. Surfing for info,I found old references to **** here on Addicts. People are talking about ” the Beach House”. There are other TSTO web sites, some reference this item. One of the other sites is run by a “****”. Same individual?
Personally, I prefer a more “report when it happens” approach. Others may not choose that approach and peruse elsewhere or set up their own site, part ways as it were.
I am constantly asking and pondering the possibilities.
Once upon a time, we opened our doors to others… but… some people just thought we were too “upbeat and happy” round here. So… off they went to do their own thing.
As far as spoilers, as EA is NOTORIOUS for dropping items in the files but NEVER releasing them… OR… By the time they release them the appearance, size, colors, and all that the item originally was has changed so many times… it is just never worth it to us. So, we prefer to wait to first of all see if it actually hits the game, then when it does to post about what is ACTUALLY happening with the item. Case in point, Beach House. Dates were NOT correct in files, and the image made some changes along the way too. So… if we HAD posted about it prior, it would have misled you completely. We prefer to give our readers the best and most accurate information possible, so we wait. 😉

I LOVED the event. A few thoughts though…
I would have bought the tar pits + the T rex villain in a HEARTBEAT; I’ve been to the LA tarpits (I live in LA), and I love them. But WHY ask 175 donuts for that? So ridiculous! It’s just from 1 episode!!
I’d rather get so many pre-existing premium character/building combinations.
Also, Spider Pig’s silo was UGLY and this is the SOLE reason I didn’t get him; and instead, opted for Bart Man!!
I was originally going to pass on the Tar Pits because of the price, but I jumped on it. The Silo for Plopper is kind of an eyesore, but it works well with Cletus’s Farm and Muntz House. Other than that, I wanted Plopper just because.
Sad to see the end of this very cool update… the best one ever !
But now we’ve to look for the future 😉
I think we could get an Easter update (even if last year was the worst update ever) cause that would be the good week, or a new level 🙂
I just realized, Radioactive Man has an awesome cache of phrases, but doesn’t say “Up and atom!” Why EA why?!

I thought sidekick Milhouse was already free slightly before the superhero event began.
BEFORE the Event he was. So those that missed him had to pay to get him later. Very common with EA.
I loooveeeee this superheroes event! I think it’s one of the best so far. Well, I have been playing this game for only half year actually. I usually get bored playing any games quickly, but this one with the special events really making me stay playing and I guess I will keep on playing because it will keep on having more events. I’m excited for Easter! I hope they will give us an event for Easter. I didn’t experience the easter event last year and heard a lot of mixed opinion about it. Now I’m all curious! Thank you for keeping us up tp date with the event as well. You guys are always helpful!
The best event yet! The pacing was well done and I was able to add quite a few buildings to my town. I have a lot of free time in my day so I was lucky enough to gain all the prizes too! Keep it coming guys, the events are awesome!

Does anyone know when some land will be available .I’m and older person playing this game I cannot afford to buy donuts I have saved $25.million dollars saved it would be so good to be able to buy things from the donut range even if it cost twice the money
No indications on new land and since we got a strip fairly recently, it may be awhile. As for buying donuts with cash… Although I love the idea, I doubt it’d happen. For now it’s just the freebies EA throws out here and there.
Convert money into XP = getting donuts.
I thought the event was a blast.
Also, I can’t thank EA enough for all the enjoyment that they create, and the Addicts and this community are phenomenal to turn to at anytime for information which is beyond helpful, it’s fun.

Overall I enjoyed this event some great new characters the sounds of tapping criminals was great and who can argue with 20 free donuts that was I great surprise ,some of the buildings were hard to find where to put them but I’m kind of used to that by now I just hope we don’t have to wait too long for our next event as I enjoy the challenge of crafting and collecting stuff
Please EA bring brandine back for easter i miss her….. 🙂 since i hadnt enough for her love
I thought the Superheroes event was one of the best so far since I started playing, oh, about 18-20 months ago. No ‘Wheel of Frustration’. Plenty of time to earn everything, even for casual players. Did not feel like it lasted too long. Plus several opportunities along the way, if you were ahead, to earn a bunch of donuts. Lots of incentive to visit neighbors. Win-win-win.
I even broke my ‘freemium only’ rule for my B and C games, just to add Plopper and Bartman to each of them.
As for what we’ll see next? I don’t know. Easter’s coming up though, next Sunday. Unless they want to give the Krustofskys a Passover event, in which case that starts on Saturday.

Thanks for the heads up about the End of the Superheroes Event! I have my Radioactive Man and earned or purchased everything else from this event that I wanted. I enjoyed “tapping-a-bite-out-of-crime” I hope to one day see EA do “A Bart Simpson Skateboard World, Event” where you can earn Skateboards, Skateboard Characters and who knows maybe a Skateboarding Park with all the bells and whistles! I think this would be a really cool addition to our Springfields and something constructive for the Springfield tikes! Happy tapping! – “TrueN2Dpoint”

I’m not a big skateboard fanatic myself, but I gotta admit that a skateboarding park does sound like a great idea – I’ve already got three characters who skateboard (or try to)…Bart, Cool Lisa, and Sanjay!

I’m glad for the ending pace of the event because I was feeling burnt out. Now after a couple of days of light play in ready for a new level.
I thoroughly enjoyed this event! All the little touches, like the font changes and the music, just made it a great time to play. I love the superheroes, anyway, but this event was fantastic. I think, since I have started playing, that this was the first one that didn’t feel stressful right from the beginning. It felt “gettable” even if you couldn’t play every 2 to 4 hours. (Plus, color me biased, but I love events in which the friend actions don’t interfere with normal money collection…)

What is this beach house everyone keeps talking about? I know we don’t know anything until its released. Just curious what its all about……
Something that appeared in the game files but as of this writing, hasn’t been released although other sites reported it. There’s actually been quite a number of items just like this which is one reason we only report what we see in the game.
Why would people check the game files? if they are just normal players then I don’t see why you would do that.
Bet when they were young they searched everywhere for christmas presents cause they don’t like surprises 😉 lol

I have 57 donuts and I’m wondering it it’s worth to buy Bartman – considering I get 3 or more donuts visiting friends today (it will reset soon, at 0100 GMT). I’ve read your should I buy post, but some pros are no longer applicable, now it’s basically a skin for Bart that earns 50% more XP and cash.
I’m really torn and I’d love to hear some opinions. I tried to list all the pros and cons myself but didn’t help. Of course there’s the possibility I don’t get enough donuts visiting my friends today, but I thought I’d better ask here first anyway.
He IS premium. $105 as opposed to $70.
I’m not that impressed with the tasks for the Bartman, but I love the Spider Pig! This was a fun event. 🙂

i caved into my son’s demands and bought the pig last minute, so i can’t speak on its tasks yet, but neighboreeno i gotta disagree with you on bartman’s tasks. love how he’s toking on that pipe while patrolling the town, throwing his bartarang while training for conflict, and showing off two different weapons while testing gadgets. even without those, he’s bartman… that was reason enough for me to get him, precious as my donuts are.
What do you mean donuts from visiting friends? That hasn’t happened to me ever, and I completed the event well before it was supposed to be finished.

I’m sad to see it come to an end. I started playing after Easter last year, so I can’t wait to see what’s up next!!

We never said the Beach House was coming….lots of stuff in the files that has not made it into the game.
I know you never said it and I am not blaming you guys. I was just hoping they would release it already because I hate seeing my hacker friends with this beach house in their town and not me and I don’t want to stoop to their leven either.
Maybe EA wants to give everyone a chance to unlock Radioactive Man and finish his task to seek out crime for 24 hours before offering the beach house. I hope it is animated with Claude Kane sliding into his rooftop pool.
That’d be cool but I’m not gonna hold my breath lol.
Maybe not the best post to ask this, but are we still getting donuts while visiting neighbors, if FP is maxed out? I have 40-something friends and visit all every day, but haven’t got a donut since issue four hit. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I got one donut yesterday and two today
There are still donuts for maxed-out FP. I don’t know how often they pay out, but I have gotten at least 2 during the event, so I don’t think that it changed any of the friend rewards — once you already had the friend prizes again.
You can still get them. I didn’t get any today, but I did get a couple each of the previous two days.
I haven’t gotten any donuts from visiting lately either. I was wondering if that was still going on. Not sure if it’s since issue 4 or not but it’s certainly been a while.

Sorry Rachel, wish I could take credit for that Zenith city but it must be a different John lol. All my zenith buildings are spread throughout Springfield, and I’ve never posted pics of it anywhere.
Sidenote: No donuts again today. Went from getting at least 2-3 a day to none since issue four started…
To increase your odds of getting donuts, I would strongly recommend increasing your number of neighbors, closer to the 100 max.
I have the max friends and I’m still not getting any donuts these days. I used to get them fairly regularly from visiting. Rachel
You’re probably just going through a dry spell. That happens sometimes with odds-based things. (And, BTW, my comment about getting more neighbors was meant for John, who said he only had 40 or so of them).
I won everything. I set up a little city area with all the Collector’s buildings. The monument is right outside the gates. I built an island for Death Monuntain and put my cannon from Christmas and Ray Gun from Halloween there. Kane Manor is located in my mansion district.
I loved this event. Easily one of the best that have done since I started playing. I was sad to see it end.

Yea but I didn’t indicate any timezone other than GMT and Eastern US. GMT never changes…
neither does the Saskatchewan time zone. i dont know how the rest of the world can stand switching times like that.
