Level 54 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 54 arrived in Springfield a couple of days ago and with it arrived the Power(s), as well as some new buildings & decorations to help improve our Conform-O-Meters!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

Of course with the release of Level 54 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are.  So now you’ll have all the information you need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

Here are the new requirements to maintain a 5-Star Springfield for Level 54

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
54  580      330       368/411
Righteousness Socialism
46,015/66,920      341 3,594

Obedience, Gluttony and Consumerism saw no increase from Level 53 to Level 54, however every other area did show an increase.  Indolence  saw a 10 point increase each.  Tree-hugging saw a 1,890 point increase.  While Vanity also saw an increase, this time of 2,550 points.  Righteousness also increased, about 12 points (yet again).  And rounding out the list Socialism  saw a 144 point increase.

So now let’s take a look at how these new buildings and decorations Level 54 dropped in impact our Conform-o-Meter:

Item  Cost Category Points
Shotkickers $265,000
Vanity 450
Seething Sisters $85,000 (Base) Vanity 250
Fort Adventure $125,000 Vanity 250
Mr. Powers Car $170,000 Vanity 300
Powers House 150 Donuts Indolence 10
Homer’s Ballet 35 Donuts Vanity 300

And that’s the latest on the Conform-O-Meter requirements for Level 54!  As you can see Level 54 mainly contains items that will help out your Vanity rating..

How is YOUR town doing?  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Level 54 and righteousness dropped from 5 star to half a star. Surely it shouldn’t go down so much 🙁

  2. I have an issue I had enough xp to level up to 54 and did and built shot kickers left my game checked back in and it had an update that hit and it dropped me back to level 53 I wouldn’t care but I have to earn that xp all over again and that will take some time please help

    • It happens sometimes. You can either play through it and get the XP or contact EA and let them know what happened (i’d wait till tomorrow, since the main support is closed right now).

My Righteousness has been all over the map since the Terwilliger event ended. (I’m at Level 54 now, but this was going on before I levelled up.) Now it’s usually at 1, but can be as high as 4. It used to be at 4.5 or 5 consistently. I can’t figure out what’s going on — it doesn’t appear to be related to graffiti or failing to arrest Sideshow Bob. Any ideas?

    • Sometimes it’s delayed and can take a minute to catch up. Try adding some training walls in your town and see if that boosts it up.

  4. My indolence, consumerism and gluttony are all lacking one star. My righteousness was five stars but suddenly dropped to a half star, I don’t have any idea why.

  5. I’ve been maxed since I saved enough donuts and bought Try-N-Save for consumerism (Gas and Grub helped with that too). Despite no character interaction, it was a good buy for me because I could get rid of the extra Kwik-E-Marts I’d tried to hide behind buildings 🙂

  6. I a bit confused about my meter. My righteousness has dropped from five to four stars since yesterday and I’m not sure why. It was still at five after the update so I thought I was fine, but then it’s dropped today, leaving me rather confused. I don’t even know what items contribute to it. Has anyone else seen this random drop? If it had dropped as soon as I updated it wouldn’t have seemed so strange. My town has never been at five stars because I’ve not maxed out gluttony, but everything else was at max until this.

    • Every new level has new requirements. It is why we post these. You will need to probably add more Training Walls to help.

    • Same here, my righteousness dropped from five to one star since the update … I make sure there are no graffitis in my town, my criminals are off the street and don’t get sent on criminal tasks, I have even added three training walls and taken the nativity scene out of storage just in case .. still nothing … anything else I am missing?

      Thank you!

  7. Vanity is an odd choice for Shotkickers and Seething Sisters. Should have been gluttony.

  8. …also really weird but my boardwalk performer has gone awol and is currently performing his grey statue on box act on the pavements not the squid port!

Is that a new thing or a glitch? Either way I like it …emailed you guys a picture : )

    • Lol. They do that from time to time. I have found mine before far into Springfield. It is a rare, but humorous thing to see.

  9. 5 Star Ratings maintained (thanks to TSTOAddicts who offer a ‘heads up’ for each new Level) 🙂

  10. *waves hello* …been ages since I’ve had any dip in my extra 5% conformity! Guess I must have alot of stuff so don’t need extra. As a mainly freemium player with the very odd splurge it’s important to have this addition as at the moment I am on about 35% and some of that has only increased lately with the news vans popping up in mystery boxes!

…just wondered what other freemium players have got and how? : )

Two contradictory requirements are being thrust upon TSTO Addicts by EA.
    1) Keep the number of items in your game low (warning at 4500?)
    2) Keep adding items to increase your ‘numbers’ in the areas of Tree Hugging, Vanity, etc.

One of these two requirements will eventually preclude obtaining (or maintaining) the other.

    • That’s why you gotta find ways to swap out one item for another. Like a higher yielding Tree to cover more than a few lower ones. Etc.

      • How do I know which trees offer the highest points for tree hugging rating? I always have to buy more trees when we have a level update because my 5 star rating dips down to 4 1/2. Is it safe to assume that the more expensive a tree is the higher the tree hugging rating is?

  12. Hid two new training walls to bring righteousness back up to 5 stars. That darn consumerism still alludes me. I think farming looks tacky, so I avoid that. Am trying to add another KEM or two while retaining a natural town look.

  13. Why the heck are Shotkickers and Seething Sisters *vanity*?!?

I really don’t understand the thinking process behind some of these Conform-o-Meter assignments, especially lately….

And now, with the increase to Righteousness will probably come a flurry of posts from people wondering why their Righteousness rating has suddenly dropped, since EA almost never includes Righteousness-earning items among their new items. (Did the minimum security prison count towards that? I can’t remember off-hand and I’m too lazy to look it up….)

On the positive side, my Conform-o-Meter ratings haven’t budged since the new level came out, so I guess I had enough in reserve to offset the increases! 🙂
