So…here is your Open Thread. A new video was released by FOX about Homer and Marge..and addressing the “rumors” (you can check it out below), what do you think of it? Level 54 hit our devices this past week, what are your thoughts on the additions? Sunday Night Baseball tonight features the Giants at the Dodgers, will you be watching? It’s Father’s Day here in the US, did you do anything special/fun with your Father, father of your children, etc?

I always check confirm donut spend after any update. l just lost 10 precious sprinklies accidentally “rushing” Santa’s Toy Shop . Confirm donut spend was off! It was on yesterday, because I used it. I purchased a golden scratch card yesterday , and wondering if that resets the confirm spend switch? I am a first time golden ticket buyer. I hope I don’t have to check every time I enter the game. This is the first time in over a year the confirm spend was off.
If you buy something there is also an additional pop up with that Donut buy with a lil bubble about “ask me again”… taking the option to not ask again will turn it back off too.
Let’s hope tomorrow brings some awesome event 🙌
Really really really hope we get a good event very soon I’m having withdrawl symptoms with nothing to do and all my characters just walking around like headless chickens lol. Ohh and of course please ea more land!!!
I feel like tomorrow something’s coming. Fingers crossed that it’s big and a not mini event. Please EA. I had all the Gil things (minus Ajax and the balloon) so I have sprinkles to spend.
Does anyone know how many people actually play Tapped Out and how much they spend?
I’m interested, on Google Play it says 50 million downloads!
Not sure of numbers, but realistically speaking, “downloads” includes people that had their device crash and had to redownload, and I’m guessing updates count as a download also, since they are from the app store occasionally.
I wish there was a way to leave messages for neighbors so I would be able to tell the person I removed that I did it because they left me 3 graffiti on buildings not at all near each other causing me to lose 1.5 stars in that category. Especially when I have a sign in the center load in of my game that points to 40+ buildings I only clear when friends click on it that clearly says “Friends” with an arrow down and right for the 2 areas. AND I’ve been busy all day so 90%+ of my town was open too. So uncalled for!
We usually recommend doing that on the Vandalize feed. It’s for all things related to Vandalizing.
Yea, but I still wish I could tell the person directly how annoying I find their actions. Lol

I haven’t seen this noted, but I imagine that’s because I haven’t looked hard enough, since you guys do such a great job. I just noticed that Monty Moneybags is a Super-Premium of sorts. Normal premiums make 50% more. Monty makes 200%!!! I don’t know of any other character that has such amazing payouts. Of course if you can afford to max out Mount Money to get Monty you probably don’t really need the money, but it is cool that after putting so much in you get so much back out! I’ve listed Monty’s tasks below (just on the off-chance that it hasn’t been done before).

WhooHoo! Big donut day for me…4 donuts for visiting neighbors and 3 for maxing out XP! makes up for the few “dry” days I had in the past week. 🙂
Yesterday I got 2 donuts in one neighbor’s town. That was a first for me!
Am I the only on who really wishes EA would make it so we can move a row of fencing instead of having to do it one piece at a time? Dang, it makes reorganizing my town tedious!
You are definitely not the only one!! Am I the only one who wishes that EA would make characters respect fences and bodies of water and stuff? I would love to be able to corral some of them from time to time, especially during special events!

I’ve searched high and low for information on the next event. Literally there’s nothing but talk. Speculation and past years worth of information are all we’ve got.
2013: Squidport/4th/Krustyland
2014: Stoncutters/4th/Yardsale
If there is any trend I think we should be getting an expansion with a mini 4th event. And with the large talk of monorail, it’s too easy to like it! and complaints about land. This could go any way, that’s how EA works. I think Expansion this week or mini event next week followed up with a major event the week after the 4th. I’m always hoping for Simpsons Japaneses vacation (but that’s just me).

Someone on a EA forum mentioned the idea of a Simpson’s Summer Camping adventure, event. Wouldn’t that be fun and so summery? Tents and campfires and trailers and floating/canoeing on the lake and camp grounds and camping outfits? The background sounds could be crickets and mosquitoes buzzing and crackling campfires. Smores could be the currency.

Brooders – A s’more (called that because, after having one, you want “some more,” which has been contracted down to “s’more”), is made by taking two graham crackers and sandwiching a flat piece of chocolate (traditionally an appropriately sized piece of a Hershey’s bar) and a marshmallow between them and then toasting it over a campfire. (Or, more easily, by just toasting the marshmallow and slipping it onto the graham cracker and chocolate sandwich.)

Silly neighbor, S’mores is THE camping treat. roasted marshmellow placed with a little chocolate bar (traditionally Hershey’s) between two graham crackers.

I pondered the possibility of a camping event too: yeah maybe collect marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers to craft stuff.. (Though, I generally hate crafting). But characters and skins: BigFoot Homer, Junior Camper Bart and Ned (leader), pacifier Bear, RV Salesman.
If not this summer I suspect they will do that eventually. But since Gil recently had Kamp Krusty for sale – I don’t know. I might like a Crunchy the Clown (Barney in bad Krusty make-up) but maybe they’ll hold that for a Krusty Look-A-Like event.
Waiting is the hardest part, we never know what is to come until it shows up.
Best s’more ever was invented by my grandson, roasted marshmallow in between two soft chocolate chip cookies. Great to eat and much easier to put together in the dark by the camp fire.
Must be an USA thing, highly burnt an’ crispy marshmallows does it for me 🙂 We don’t get those “brands”…

They’re not buildings you can collect on. They don’t earn income. Only way to earn money from them is if someone spray paints you, and you clean it up.

I apologise if there is a post about this – I am at 4 stars in the conform-o-meter, which I understand is 4% bonus. I get a total of 44%, the difference I understand is due to being a premium player. Does purchasing premium items max it out at any point?

I’ve never really understood this…does that mean you make 250% more on everything? But then it says the limit is 5% at 5 stars. This always confused me.
You make that much % more than what a building pays out. So if a building makes $100 and your bonus % is 25% you’ll make $125
The limit for the bonus multiplier you can get for maxing out the Conform-o-Meter is 5%, but there are additional items (decorations) you can buy or win that have bonus multipliers associated with them, which increase your total bonus multiplier. You can see what your current multiplier is by tapping on the stars. In the top banner part of the pop-up that appears, right before the total stars, it tells you what your total bonus is from both conformity and decorations.
Oh, and to add Thu what Alissa said, the bonus is also applied to XP that you earn, which, after you’ve been playing awhile and cash isn’t an issue, can be even more important, since it gets you to the bonus donuts (“bonuts,” as we sometimes call them here) round faster. 🙂

AHHHH DUH lol. I get it now. Like when you buy a premium item it says 0.5% increase or whatever. Checked mine and I’m only at 17% since I’m mostly freemium.
Just wondering if you guys think that EA will rel-release Lincoln, Washington, Grandinaili, Rex Banner, All-American Apu, Lincoln Memorial & Lisa Statue of Liberty? Or go the other way and do something big with Summer of 4ft.2…Eri (TeeJay’s Zay Mart) Dean, & Rick. Also include the Flander’s summer home….what do you think?

So I wonder what the next event is going to be. I got kinda spoiled with having a couple events back to back and now I’m ready for a new one. They are probably just waiting until the fourth of July for the next event.
Brandine just entered her second trimonthster for the birth of her first Spuckler. Have to wait until next year to celebrate Father’s Day.

Hello….I hadn’t received any donuts for the past two days upon visiting my neighbours. Usually, I collect two and the odd time only one. Anyone else out there notice?

That’s normal. There’s only a .05% chance per tap, so, if you visit 100 neighbors (300 taps), the average is 1.5 donuts (which is why, most often you’ll get 1 or 2), but, just as you sometime get 2 donuts a few days in a row and sometimes get 3 or more donuts, the odds will balance that out by sometimes giving you no donuts for a few days in a row. I got no donuts on Friday and Saturday, but got two last night.

I’m overjoyed that I finally hit level 16 on friendship points. Sprinklies are so few and far between that I very much welcome this opportunity to get some more. I got two sprinklies from my neighbors on the first day and then 10 from my mystery box today. I also much appreciate the money boost so saving up more than a million dollars for the building in the next level doesn’t take quite as long. For now I’m content with no event going on so I can concentrate on the levels.

You keep getting mentions in the update blurbs, are you vying for the next round ofsemi-moderators? I know you have been one in the past, you really keep up to date and also help the newbies 😉
Aww, shucks, Cube…. It’s just in my nature to help, especially when it comes to sharing knowledge (it’s the teacher/trainer in me, I guess) and I’m a big believer in paying it forward….so many folks helped me when I first started and I feel obliged to do the same for those who are now in that position.
But I don’t think I could ever match Alissa’s and Bunny’s patience…on more than one occasion, I know my responses to folks have gone right up to the line of okay/not okay. I don’t mind ignorance at all (and always try to remember what it felt like when I was a newbie at this game), but I have little patience for people who are completely unwilling to do ANYTHING to try and help themselves (like reading the article and at least a page-worth of comments) and people who do nothing but whine about the same things over and over again (I do my fair share of whining here, admittedly, but I try to balance out our with some positives and avoid whining about the same thing, ad nauseam.)
Years ago, I got “recruited” to moderate the iVillage Atkins Diet board because I was doing so much posting to help newbies out anyway. But, I had more time and energy then and it didn’t cost me real money to help (the way it does the Addicts here to rush everything and buy everything). So, I try to help where I can here, but am happy to do it without the “responsibilities” of an official title, this time. 🙂
Was bored a while ago and nuked my town. After several days, I’m finally happy with my town! But I’m now concerned that I have no room in case an event occurs. I’m going to try redecorating my Squidport next so I was wondering if there’s a post anywhere that shows all buildings that can go there? I know there’s a few buildings that can be on the boardwalk or grass, but I don’t have the energy to go through all of them… If one doesn’t exist, I’ll just play around and see what I can do.
Oh, also, I was extremely happy taking my dad to Jurassic World today! Jurassic Park was the first movie I remember watching in theaters with my dad (I was obsessed with dinosaurs when I was younger), so I thought it’d be special to go to the sequel. Happy Father’s Day!
I watched it too. Enjoyed it better than Mad Max. And I enjoyed Mad Max better than Avengers.
