For the Soccer Mini Event, you will be going through a pretty simple Questline. Meet My Trophy Life. There will be a few parts to this before the Main Items will kick off.
- Part 1 (Instant/Lisa): Lisa & Homer Watch Soccer, Simpsons House, 45 secs.
- Part 2 (Homer): Place the Grass Field and Stadium Entrance.
Grass Field: FREE, 12×12 base
Stadium Entrance: FREE, 3×5 base
- Part 3 (Homer): Homer Pander to Sponsors,Stadium Entrance, 3 mins
- Part 4 (Lisa): Homer Invent More Rules (x4), Stadium Entrance, 6 secs. At this point, you will Unlock the NEW Character Skin for Homer, Referee Homer & the NEW Character Skin for Lisa, Soccer Lisa. They will be part of the “Sporty Simpsons” Character Group.
- Homer again Triggered the next part, which immediately gave me ANOTHER Character Skin,
Pin Pal Apu: FREE, put directly into Inventory.
The Soccer Event will now be in full swing. You will see a lot of New Icons and a lot of New items now added into the game.
The New Questline will now be triggered into your game as well, Balls of Glory.

Mit w/Soccer Ball: You will notice this appear in the Lower Right of the game with an ! on it. Tapping on this will also take you to the Event Menu.
EVENT MENU POP UP
The Event Menu is where you will find a lot of details and game play basics for the Event. It is the Soccer Ball in Mit Icon that gets it to pop up.
Trophy: This is where all your Personal Prizes will be located.

This will take you to “Flanders House” where you can pick your Teams to start playing. In the top Right corner you will see “PICK” across from Single Player, tap on it to begin picking your team. YOU WILL NEED FLANDERS HOUSE PLACED TO ACCESS THE PLAY MODE. More on this below
Soccer Ball, Mit, Ticket Stubs: This is the Amateur Shop aka the Craftables. You will see the usual breakdown of what amount of each Event Currency you will need for the items inside.

EVENT CURRENCY
Foam Fingers: These will be your main Event Currency used throughout the Soccer Event to be able to unlock your Personal Prizes.
Ticket Stubs/Amateur Bucks: These are used to get items in your Craftables Area as well as Leveling Up Characters
Brain & Nerve Tonic : These are used currently to give your Character a 2 Star Boost to help defeat your opponents in Tap Ball, so save them and use them wisely.
Obesotade: This will help to revive your worn out Players immediately so they can Play Tap Ball right away instead of waiting
PLAY TAP BALL
This will unlock during Balls of Glory Part 1. You will want to go into the Event Menu and tap on the “Flag” Tab. This will take you to “Flanders House” where you can pick your Teams to start playing. In the top Right corner you will see “PICK” across from Single Player, tap on it to begin picking your team. YOU WILL NEED FLANDERS HOUSE PLACED TO ACCESS THE PLAY MODE.
Mine started with Pin Pal Apu, Referee Homer, Soccer Lisa, and Workout Ned. Add as many as you want of the Four, then tap “PLAY” to begin. You will want to select the Characters with the HIGHEST Star Rating to Play as they will have a better chance of defeating your Opponents and winning more Awards. The Order you select them will be how they play out during the competition.
You will be then taken to the Grass Field where you will see your “Teams” Ready to Play Tap Ball. Tap on the Flag to start going and play to Win Items for Prizes.
After completing your first “Tap Ball Game”, Balls of Glory Part 2 will begin and you’ll be instructed about letting Players rest between games and using Obesotade to revie them instantly (Revive a Character takes 4hrs). The players will now be grayed out while they rest in the Play Menu.
In the Playing Field of Tap Ball you will see 3 Icons…
Directional Arrows: Tapping on this will swap out your Character in front with the one behind them. You can use this to put a more equal Character against an Opponent. The amount of times you can do this will be noted on the Icon. Winning will help you earn more “Swap” Chances.
Brain & Nerve Tonic: Tapping on this will instantly Level Up ONCE the current Character in Play at the Front. So use it wisely. The amount of times you can do this will be noted on the Icon. Winning will help you earn more along with other items around the game.
Flag: Tapping on this starts the game against the Two Characters in the Center Circle at the Front. Don’t tap on it until you are sure you don’t want to Level them Up or use some Tonic First.
You can Win, Lose, and Tie. There is also a Coin Toss too. It can go anyway.
FANS THAT EARN STUFF
These are the NPC’s that will wander your game during the Event to help you earn MORE items that will help you out with the Currency Items you will need. Attention will be drawn to the “Fans” in the game in Meet My Trophy Life Part 5. You will be able to locate 15 Fans and tap them.
Guy in Jersey Fan: +10 Foam Fingers
Guy in Cape w/blinking Hat Fan: +10 Foam Fingers
Female w/Foam Finger Fan: +10 Foam Fingers
Female w/Flag Fan: +10 Foam Fingers
Once in a while they will also drop other items, like +1 Brain & Nerve Tonic
SPAWN RATE:
At least ONE every 10 minutes
MAX of 30 in your town at a time
(Possible Bank of 30 MAX)
DAILY TRAINING CHALLENGES
This will not unlock until Meet My Trophy Life Part 6. Meet My Trophy Life Part 7 will ask you to Complete it. These tasks will be similar to those in the past. You will have 24hrs to complete specific Challenges in order to get greater Prizes/Awards. You can finish them AFTER 24hrs are up, but you will lose the 24 Hour Timer Bonus (Like Foam Fingers).
You will know when you Triggered the Daily Training Challenges when you see the Stop Watch Icon pop up in the Top Right Corner of your game. Tapping on it will bring you to the Event Menu where you will now see the Stop Watch as an added Icon and the Daily Challenge Task Requirements.
Task Day#1: Make Apu Sell Tap Ball Merchandise (X2), 2hrs.
Reward: Obesotade 4-Pack.
24hr Time Bonus: 800 Foam Fingers.

TEAM MANAGEMENT/LEVEL UP CHARACTERS
This will not unlock until Meet My Trophy Life Part 6. You will have the ability to use your Amateur Bucks to Train your Characters for Tap Ball and Level Up their “Stars”. If you watched while you were playing an opponent, you would have noticed that your Opponent has a certain Star Level under each of their Players. The Higher Stars YOUR Character has competing against theirs, the better chance at a win.
Each Star Level will vary in Amateur Bucks costs. You can Level Up half Levels of Stars too. (If you are antsy, you can use Donuts to Level them up, but that is only if it is worth it to YOU.)
In Bunny’s Game, the Breakdown was as Follows (I used Nelson as an Example)
1/2 Star to 1 Star: 26 Amateur Bucks
1 Star to 1 1/2 Stars: 29 Amateur Bucks
1 1/2 Stars to 2 Stars: 32 Amateur Bucks
2 Stars to 2 1/2 Stars: 62 Amateur Bucks
2 1/2 Stars to 3 Stars: 98 Amateur Bucks
3 Stars to 3 1/2 Stars: 140 Amateur Bucks
3 1/2 Stars to 4 Stars: 188 Amateur Bucks
4 Stars to 4 1/2 Stars: 242 Amateur Bucks
4 1/2 Stars to 5 Stars: 302 Amateur Bucks
At this point, your Character will be at MAX LEVEL
NEIGHBOR TAP BALL
The Neighbor Portion will not trigger in the Event until Balls of Glory Part 4. So you have some time to get to this point.
So just how will the “Neighbor” Games work? Well once you trigger Part 4, you will go into the Flag Icon in the Main Event Pop Up and now see MORE Options to Play a game.
Random Opponent: The Game will randomly select any of your Neighbors to battle against. You will have no idea who it is.
**Neighbor’s Name**: You will see a Neighbors Name listed next. It will show you the potential Star Level of Players you will be up against right under it. (From 1-5 Stars.) Though you will not know just how many of their Characters are at that Level. Could be one. Could be all of them.
So the choice is yours to PICK your Player (just don’t pick your nose, at least not with your tapping finger… ewwwwwww).
If your Players are Fatigued and resting, you will see a Pop Up telling you to “GET MORE” aka Revive them with Obesotade or just “CONTINUE” and go visit your Neighbor anyway.
Once in your Neighbors, you will be taken to THEIR Grassy Field. You will see a Flag Icon on it. Tapping on the Flag will pull up your Team Roster. You can also Revive your Characters at this point too.
Select the Characters you want to battle, then “PLAY”. You can do this THREE times, as it is basically your Neighbor Actions. But it will take ALL 3 Actions if you do that and you will not be able to tap any of their Fans. THIS IS ONLY UNTIL YOU UNLOCK THE FANS. Once Fans unlocked (see below), you can have unlimited competitions.
After a Neighbor comes and Plays Tap Ball against YOU, there will be a pop up in your town of the Wins, Ties, Losses totals and YOU will also get a Reward depending on those results.

NEIGHBOR FANS
This triggers right after completion of Balls of Glory Part 4. It will Spark Homer to trigger Fickle Fans. You will be prompted to visit your Neighbors now to Tap on THEIR Fans (like the NPC ones in your town) roaming around.
You will be able to Tap on 3 of them in your Neighbors town to earn Foam Finger, Cash, and XP.
NEIGHBOR HOUSES
You CAN still tap on houses and graffiti your neighbors. With there now being THREE options to choose from to use those Neighbor Taps, use them wisely.
House, Neighbor Fan, or Neighbor Tap Ball.
Still working on the Mechanics to see if there is a MAX Daily Actions like in the past of 90, will update when we confirm.
CHARACTER TASKS
Various characters have tasks that will earn you more Amateur Bucks. Will will cover a complete list in another post, but also know that KBBL has a Amateur Buck Earning task as well, 16hrs.
There are the Basics of the game so far. There is a LOT more to it, but that will require our usually breakdown/more specific posts for you. So keep an eye out, we have about a month of all of this.

I just got a Notification that “Lady Duff” was now available to purchase for a limited time from the store, but she wasn’t there to purchase, do you have any info on this?
I was SO happy to see that the blocko store was back, since I didn’t achieve it when it was available for a prize and only 30 donuts? I couldn’t resist! Snatched that up so quick 🙂
There’s a cool glitch. You can upgrade players for zero donuts. You have to have at least 20 tix but it says you do not have enough tix but do you want to use donuts to upgrade? It shows zero donuts as an option. Choose yes and you are upgraded. I did it three times.

I am not seeing this. When I tap on a character I don’t have enough amateur bucks to upgrade the pop up asks if I want to rush it for 1 doughnut. There is no choice for # of doughnuts.

I think it all depends on how far your neighbour’s gotten in the event. I’d they’re still early on (or haven’t started it yet), they’ll still have houses to tap. Sounds like all of your neighbours may be up to, or past, the point where the fans appear!

I saw that in the Daily Training line, you can get Drederick Tatum, and Lugash.
They are a prize of the event?
Lugash is worth 175 donuts, with his Gym, but in the Daily Training prize track, it’s only the character.
It’s not the character…that much we know. As far as what it is, we’re not 100% sure yet. We’ll know once it hits.
Is it still possible to get donuts from visiting friends during this event? If so, is it just from friends who haven’t gotten far enough to have fans to tap (so their buildings are still tappable) or do you also have a chance of getting them from tapping fans?
Yes, I believe so. I haven’t seen one yet, but honestly I haven’t spent a ton of time in neighbors towns, other than for tap ball.

I did see cash (can’t remember if I saw any XP, I sorta wasn’t paying attention for that), but I didn’t get any foam fingers like I thought I should have.

Same thing happened to me. I got Friend points, cash and XP just as if I tapped on a building. Never got any foam fingers.

Is the event not working for others? I got it just fine on mine but other people I know cannot 🙁
I love that I finished todays tasks and could bounce right into the next 24 hr period. Easier for us with jobs that can’t play often!!
I asked this earlier myself, so I’m thinking others might be interested, too… The stadium seats (at least the small, 2-level ones) are 4×2 and THEY ROTATE IN ALL FOUR DIRECTIONS!!! So we can actually have stadium seating on all sides of the playing field if we want! 🙂
Does anyone know when and how to unlock other characters to play tap ball? Other than buying tapball Nelson. Can I pick Marge or maybe Bart to play? Or is it just the 4 that are playing now?

To trigger the Event… it is quick and easy. REALLY short tasks. Like seconds on most.
Thanks Bunny, I’ve started it. The thing is that I only get about 3 hours in the evening to play – if that’s how I choose to spend my 3 hours! I’ll do what i can but i know that’s nowhere near the effort that’s needed. Maybe I can be a good test case for what can be done on minimal play-time 😉

Your answer… the way the “Skins” are set up in the game… you can use many of the Players to do both. Still testing if it also works when they are in “Revive” mode. But was able to send them on a Task and Play. So unless EA changes that. For now you can. 🙂
yes they can. apu is currently on his 12 hour task, and i’ve played multiple tapball games with him. same goes with homer, lisa, and ned while they are busy on their 4 hour tasks practicing.
I keep forgetting to mention… Until I saw your enlarged picture here, I thought the blinking light hat was a cartoon thing that represented that the fan was drunk! Much prefer that it’s a hat….

I don’t know why, but I’m stuck on part six of the questline. I sent everyone to practice but it didn’t count towards the quest. What do I do?

The problem fixed itself. I logged on a few minutes ago and before I touched anything, It suddenly said I finished the questline. I guess my game caught up with itself! Thanks for the advice though
I think there’s a bug. I had it show as 1/4 completed, then it disappeared. I just completed the task with Ned, and it didn’t count. I’m wasting a lot of time doing it over and over, something must be wrong.
Does football Nelson come with a quest line now or later? What girl doesn’t love a football hero …. But if he disappears or pays out at regular rate later … Well then I’ll save my donuts. I already have a premium skin for Lisa so debating on gymnastics Lisa (though what girl hasn’t dreamed of being Nadia Comaneci)

Oh good as I cannot get the song Varsity Drag out of my head since I saw him pop up on my screen and figured I was going to breakdown and buy him for my A game.
During Tap Ball, the icons that say how many uses of “switch” and “tonic” I can use, do they also have to be lit up or something? Because I can’t click on them. I assume they’re dimmed, but I can’t tell. They have a 2 and a 1 next to each, respectively.
You have only a certain amount to use each game. Once you used it up… they grey out.
I’m stuck at the “buy Obesotade” stage…because I spent the bucks on another craft. I’m not winning any more matches and therefore am not making enough bucks to get it now (in the forseeable future). Ugh.
I contacted EA but I’m impatient (still waiting for an email) and wonder if I should wait or spent the few donuts I have to get it. (Last event I spent a lot of my donuts unnecessarily, so it would suck to have that happen again at the beginning of this event…)
You will have to wait if you can’t progress. In 4hrs, you should be able to play another game of Tap Ball and slowly increase the amounts.
I’ve been doing the 4 hour plays, but it’s ending in ties or losses. I think the game expects me to make some progress, increasing my players strengths…which I can’t do as those options are unavailable at this stage. I’m getting 4 or 8 tickets at most. At that rate I don’t think I’m in the running for anything Act 1.
An update for those that may come across this (or, simply, Bunny and the admin team).
This is my timeline for getting help from EA: After contacting them about my issue, I waited 24 hours. Not wanting to be too far behind I decided that it would be worth the risk to use up 18 of my donuts to get back into the quest. 48 hours in I got a reply that I was granted a 4-pack of Obesotade. I informed them that I appreciated getting something for the problem, but that the real problem now was that I was down 18 donuts when I fixed it on my own. 3 day after that email I was granted my donuts back.
So, the lesson is (1) I’m not patient, and (2) there is a chance of having things resolved in a very acceptable manner with EA if enough time is afforded.
TapBall love it this is the third great event this year…….yes any football themed event (sockaball) to you Americans is a winner to me.

Yes and NO… Yes, when you first trigger it. NO after you unlock the Fans in Neighbors option on the next part of the questline. So… unlock Fans quickly and it is unlimited (unless patch fixed this)

Before I learned that there is more land available, I stored Monsarno Research to make room for the soccer field. Now I tried to replace it, but it is gone from my inventory. Searched under all the available inventory icons, but still nada. Does anyone know where this might have gone to??? Thanks ever so much!
Try to go to the opening list. Like as soon as you go to inventory and it shows the MAIN CENTER area with the 3 Icons down the side… try just swiping to the right there and see what happens.
And of course it was right there – fourth or fifth spot from the left. Boy, do I feel stupid…

Okay, I think I’ve come up with a possible strategy, but I thought I’d post it here to see if there are any holes in it that I’m not seeing…
From a ticket-earning perspective, it appears that the 24-hour task is the best option, since all ticket-earning tasks earn at the same 1-ticket-per-hour rate and the 24-hour task allows you to keep earning tickets while you sleep. The only thing that I think we need those ticket-earning characters to be free for is the daily tasks. However, so far (and, granted, N is small here, with only two days to go by), only one character is needed to complete the daily tasks. So I’m thinking that, each day, once I’ve seen who I need to keep free for the daily tasks, I should send the other ticket-earning characters on their 24-hour ticket-earning task.
So, what do you think? Does this make sense? Is there anything I’m not thinking of that we need to keep characters free for besides the daily task?
Actually, I’m realizing that it may be a little premature to start this strategy fully just yet, since there are still some questline things that some characters need to do, like Apu’s Pin Pal questline that I’m in now. But once we’ve completed those, or for those that don’t have a questline right now (like Lisa)… Or do other characters need to be free to trigger stuff? I need to go back and take a closer look at the Turbo Tappin’ post, I guess….
Just a quick fyi since I hadn’t seen it mentioned anywhere (yet), but Gorgeous Grampa’s Prance and Preen task earns event currency (12 tickets, 12h task I believe).
