Community Prize numbers have once again been adjusted! So everyone can stop panicking now! As many seasoned players suspected (and we’ve all tried to tell those that were panicking..) EA has made adjustments to the Community Prize goals, and now they are completely obtainable (and quickly too!)
Springfield Arms now requires 12,917,280 
so we should be unlocking it very soon!
still cost 40 Amateur Bucks…and you should be unlocking 5 as part of today’s Daily Training. So keep sending those balls!
Update: It looks like the rest of the prizes have been adjusted as well…with the highest prize now costing just over 25,000,000 . So keep sending and we’ll get them all soon!
Hey everyone, I am very happy about this as I think “springfield arms apartments” might be the best prize of the whole event. The “duff beer truck” is also one of the better prizes.
I was wondering if they had also upped the chances that you will get a free ball when you tap a ball in yr town? Before today it seemed about 50/50 but today, out of about 20 balls in my town I have 16 free balls. Maybe I’m just getting lucky but I’m happy cos I’d rather save my ABs for stadium decos. Thanx and have fun.
All that can start up a “B” or “C” game as an alternative source of bucks should do it. Then just use all your money on soccer balls for the community prizes.
I am really not understanding the balls or seeing many of them. What did I miss? Thanks

I’m glad of this. I figured EA would make sure we could get them. Overall this event has had a lot of prizes. We’ll have several new skins, a lot of sports decorations to dream up individual areas to design, buildings, etc. And it really wasn’t hard collecting things except for ABs. Which doesn’t bother me since the craftables are mainly duplicates of things we already have. 🙂
Thank goodness for those who panic! Nothing ever changes by sitting around quietly, assuming that things will change.
Then contact EA and let them know Yr disappointment. They’re really cool actually and don’t be afraid to ask for something in return, at the least they’ll throw you some doughnuts. And you might get into a fun conversation about the game.
I was just amazed how many people got so upset that they were saying they’d never play again.
Pretty much par for the course for every event….

I agree. Without our feedback EA would assume everything was fine. Well, the numbers [how quickly the balls were thrown] is a type of feedback, too. Panicking is fun, too, though. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
What is the purpose of initially having impossible to meet goals, only to lower them substantially days or weeks later? It seems discouraging & counter-productive if the purpose is to maximize the number of balls a player buys. Am I missing something?
I think they thought people would have an easier time with it…or it was a programming glitch from the start.

That, or they did it as a test to see who would comply and wait for the changes and who would be impatient and obtain the items in slightly more illicit ways?
That’s a possibility..but i think it was more just an oversight
I have an acquaintance who works on the Sims and I gave him feedback for the Tapped Out crew at EA. Apparently (from what they were willing to admit) they just really rolled this event out with a lot of glitches. I for instance had to reinstall the entire game the first day, but since then I’ve received about 140 donuts from this event, so it’s not all bad.

Thank you EA! I wasn’t panicking but I was about to quit the addicts at least until the end of the event. And I love me some should I buy posts (even though I always buy them before you can post them, just enjoy hearing Yr two cents).

Yes but no one listened. How can you get so worked up over something for free? I see them as a Christmas list. Yeah it’d be great to get everything but I’m not gonna get mad at my friends and family for not getting the new Smart phone.

Figured this was coming but surprised it took this long. Oh well, at least it was adjusted towards the beginning of the final act (or period as Alyssa prefers lol)
This is my third large event and I am quite enjoying it. I wonder if they will still let us play tap ball after the event is over (it could reward in cash like the radio station or Channel 6).
At last! I was thinking that with a week left on the event they had to be changing something soon. So looking forward to having the Duff Beer truck in my town 🙂

They should think a but more before they do this sort of stuff. Why buy balls when people want to finish tricking out their Tap Ball Park or upgrading their team?

When I go to check the how much more balls we need it says 11,999,817 then it start increasing to 12,001,657, then later I go to check it says 11,999,817,again increasing.

What’d they screw up? There’s still a week left of the event, still plenty of time. So not sure what’s screwed up…

I’m enjoying this event. Not too stressful. Lot’s of easily attainable prizes. I like some of the store items too. I’ve purchased the Duff racer, and the Duff party bus. Both have great payout per doughnut spent, and I like the way they look. I put the party bus near my Tap Ball stadium, because those Tap Ball fans are going to want a cool refreshing Duff Beer. “”Can’t Get Enough of that Wonderful Duff”.

I’m glad they lowered the goals! I wish they had done it days ago. The first prize was around 3 mil and the second is 12 mil, which is halfway to 25 mil. Not a very gradual increase. But, as long as we get the prizes!!
