Back with another edition of Addicts Question Corner, this time addressing your Act 2 concerns.
This post is based around the most common questions we’re seeing asked in the comments. And it’s designed to help you understand the event a little bit better..or at the very least make you feel like you’re not going crazy with an issue you’re having. So…if you’re stuck somewhere, seeing something strange or just not sure what’s going on read this post first. If you don’t see the help then ask your question. I’m going to try and address every major question we’re seeing in this one post. So hopefully this will help those that are still stuck/confused out.
Let’s get to it…
First let me start by saying…we’ve got two other Question Corner posts written for Act One. So if you don’t see your problem addressed here, check those posts out first…there’s a good chance it was covered there. They can be found here and here
Now let’s start with the number one question we’ve been seeing in the comments for the last day….
My Characters Look “Cloudy/Pixelated” outside of Moe’s/Simpson House/Kwik-E-Mart/Krusty Burger. What’s wrong with my game? Is it Broken?
No. I promise. Your game is NOT broken. This is intentional. It’s part of the animation for the action at that location, it’s meant to look like the adults are doing something..well…”adult”. So if you see these images:
Relax…your game’s not broken. It’s working as it’s supposed to.
If I Buy Luann, will I get her Squirrel Costume for Free?
No. As of this very moment, there is no Squirrel Costume in the game. That look from this image…
Is part of the task associated with Everscream Terrors and will leave once the event is over. So yes, you can see this task if you buy Luann, but no you won’t get a free costume for her.
Fairy Kodos is Stuck on the Flirt Task, How Do I Fix This?
We’re seeing this one a bit in the comments. Readers have advised that it has to do with the Facade on the Simpson’s House. If it’s set to Everscream Terrors you can’t clear it. So what you’ll need to do is tap on Everscream Terros and chance the Facade back to the Simpson’s House. That should allow you to clear the task…
I’ve Completed Parts 1 and 2 of The Very Young Folk, But I Still Can’t Get The Springfield Horror to Start. All of My Characters Are Free.
Make sure you’ve completed EVERYTHING associated with the main questline for Act 1…including the last task that pops up for Homer titled The Unspeakable. We’re seeing readers with this issue, but then realizing that they didn’t complete that one task. Once it’s completed you can move onto The Springfield Horror. (It’s an 8hr task for Homer to Wait Impatiently)
I Can’t Get the Facades To Go On My Kwik-E-Mart or Krusty Burger.
We’re seeing this popup a bit now too. Often it’s related to having too many Kwik-E-Marts or Krusty Burgers in your town. What we suggest doing is store or sell all the Kwik-E-Marts and Krusty Burgers you have and then place only 1, the one that’s associated with the character. That should trigger the Facade to come up.
If you only have 1 Kwik-E-Mart or Krusty Burger…store/sell it and see if that triggers it to work.
If it doesn’t, contact EA.
I’m Tapping Nightmares But My Level Up Meter Isn’t Rising.
First, make sure you’re tapping the correct nightmare. I know some of you are still having trouble with this. We’ve got loads of details on how to upgrade on this post.
If you’re familiar with the upgrade process and haven’t had any issues so far….I think this is a glitch. I honestly can’t duplicate it in my game. I’m collecting snakes, and everyone I tap causes my snake counter to rise. I would say try a hard close/visit to Krustyland/visit to a neighbor to try and resync your game and see if that helps it (i usually hard close out of my game when I exit). If it doesn’t, then I’d contact EA.
Why am I Not Earning Gummies from Neighbors?
Because, just like s’mores, you won’t earn prize currency from neighbors. Only crafting currency.
If you’re wondering why you’re not getting crafting currency from neighbors…it’s probably because you’ve maxed out your neighbor actions for the day. Remember you only get 90/day. More details on neighbor actions on this post.
When Does Act 2 End?
Act 2 ends on November 4th at 0800GMT (3am EDT…Daylight Savings Ends in the US on Nov. 1st)
Will My Gummies Still Be There When Act 2 Ends?
No. Once Act 2 ends your Gummies will disappear and any prizes you have not yet earned will be available for purchase via donuts only.

As always, lots of posts are still coming. Just trying to focus on addressing the issues/questions we’re seeing in the comments most often first. Then we’ll jump on more specific posts (like Should I Buys etc). Lots more coming…I promise.

Hi please help any suggestions??
I have removed all Kwik e marts except 1 from my land but my facade for it has gone into inventory and won’t let me place it. Keeps saying I need to buy a Kwik e mart? So I tried that ..built it…tried to place facade but still said need to buy one! Can’t progress on quest line 🙁 contacted ea yesterday they sent me email for trouble shooting which before they did I told them I had done all those steps contacted them again to say still didn’t work they said they would access my game to sort it for me and give me 15 free donuts within 2-3 hours. That was yesterday still no change or donuts any idea what to do now ?? I’ve got 12 kwiki e marts now in my inventory and 1 on my land certainly don’t need another!
Please any suggestions??
As it says…sell EVERY kwik-e-mart and then buy 1 back.

^^EA needs to fix this glitch.. our Christmas skins work fine in regards to having many buildings.
I don’t disagree. But if you want it fixed then you’ll have to contact them. I’m just offering the solution to fix it without contacting them, since I know no one enjoys that
So, this might be the wrong place for this, but I just found out that the Impossible Tower can be placed on squidport… And then the tiles can be removed from under it! (The archway on it can line up perfectly with the curve of the Sunken Temple, too. It looks really amazing. I would post a picture of it, but I don’t know how to make them show up here.)

Fairy Kudos is still stuck for me. I removed all the Halloween facades on all the buildings and he is still stuck. I even refreshed/force quite the game a few times and still stuck. It asked if I wanted to use donuts to complete. I tried that as well but still stuck. Fortunately my donuts were not charged. Did I miss something else I should try? Super frustrating. Thanks!
The facade change should work….if it’s not all I can tell you to do is contact EA.
Is anybody else having the broken-layers bug? I was hoping the update would fix it but it hasn’t yet. It’s like the layer function on the images of the buildings is malfunctioning. My characters disappear behind most buildings and their feet are the only visible part of them. I was in contact with EA; eventually customer support gave me donuts but said that they couldn’t fix bugs. I’ve been to the forums and making my case known. Is waiting the only recourse?
First of all, happy Back to the future day everyone! I went and marathon watched the entire trilogy at the movie theater just now!
Second; the game made me buy a new Kwik-e Mart, so I stored the old one and am currently building a new one. Weird, but hopefully solvable. Not gonna rush the building, it is gonna take 3 more hours -_-
I am liking this phases prizes though, better than the last. Especially Kodos and the façades. Too bad the Halloween costumes arent Free though, I already bought last phases decoration so am saving my donuts for whatever may come next phase.

Are you sure there’s no squirrel costume for Luann? I definitely see one in the character collection, or is that not how it works? Just started playing this game a few months ago.
I 100% promise you it’s not available at the moment. That doesn’t mean it won’t come eventually, but as of this very second it’s not available, not in the game. And if/when it comes into the game…i promise you it won’t be free.
Often times things are in the character collection and not yet in the game.

Back to the future update… Lexus has a working hover board that uses super cooled electromagnets powererd by liquid nitrogen… also either in the almanac or on a magazine is said “Cubs Win” as a headline and it may not have been the world series but they did beat the Cardinals which is something.
apologize if i’m bursting your liquid nitrogen bubble here, but the hoverboard didn’t sound quite so cool once it was revealed that the tech was no different than maglev, meaning it needs a special surface to levitate.

Not a fan of recommending what you should buy. They’re your donuts, you should get what you want to get. Best thing I can tell you to do is wait until the upcoming holiday events are over (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) as they usually have the best limited-time characters. But if you really want to spend them now, here’s a list of our Top 10

Last year there was a pretty good Black Friday sale with Gil where he gave donuts back with each purchase (similar the the one a few weeks ago). There were some pretty good premium characters during that time. If you can wait another month, I would wait and see if they do something like that again, just to save a few donuts.
I missed Barney last year, and I’m still kicking myself. Hope he is on sale again this year.

Funny thing but if you look closely at marge in the pixels uou can still see her regular clothes, same for Carl. I find it silly they pixellated it if you get Burns naked with a mask on his bits to host an erotic event thingy…

So… I don’t know if I am the only one seeing that. But maybe this could be an issue for other people that think their spawn rates are broken.
I am 100 % sure that I have invisible snakes in my town. And only snakes. Every now and then when I click on a bunny / zombie / skeleton what ever I get that loot from that and the loot from a snake that was supposed to be next to it but there wasn’t any. I was pretty unsure at first and now I experience that for like 3 days.
Even as I am writing this post: I wanted to click on Ned who is doing a “quest” to see how long it takes and the games reacted as if I clicked on a snake that wasn’t anywhere near. I am spawning Skeletons right now.
I wouldn’t see it as a problem but since the snakes are invisible I can’t really click them. So they take away place for the other spawns and I can only get rid of one when it is next to a bunny. skeleton etc. And it seems the invisible ones re-spawn invisible when I spawn new snakes since it’s for days and doesn’t seem to clear out.
I hope it is understandable. Does anyone experience that too ? Or am I the only one ?
No you are not the only one!
I thought this is because the snakes are so small maybe I’m missing them on my crowded streets / obscured by buildings. But come to think of it this happens even in places with a clear view.
That can also explain why I’m having the “your town is full” message even with almost no nightmares in my town at all!

Well that will end up as the first event where I regret not having a way to upgrade the “click radius” for spawns. Since it doesn’t feel like the tax building is helping with that. That problem with the invisible snakes wouldn’t be one with a radius upgradeable thingy,
I had that problem in the last Act. I visited neighbors, logged out, stuff like that. Nothing fixed the issue directly, but after I left my game, not even a full close, and the next time that I played I could see the snakes again.
The fix might have been something to do with having the campfire require snakes and switching to snakes. Try that.

Can anyone tell me if the victorian ship and kodos crashed ship are the same two items? You see, i now have kodos and the vic ship but am unable to perform kodos’ (i think 24) hour task. Also, i had kinda entertained the idea that there was a job that kodos and kang could do which pertains to the vic ship. Am i wrong about this? Or maybe simply missing something? Or possibly just misinformed?

Kodos & Kang do have a 16 hour task that makes them dress up in victorian costumes, stand next to the victorian ship and laugh for 16 hours.

The Victorian ship has a 10 hour job for both of them together, also a 16 hour task for both but separately. The crashed UFO which is different has Kodos’s 24 hour task. Did they make the Victorian available again?

I just wanted to say, you guys rock. After doing the friends rounds, i was 3 bunnies away from the shop quest for today, without this site, i would have waited 4 hours for martin to finish, then did the bunny story, waited 4 hours…I wish more people used the forums so we could actually be social on this “social” game. That’s my rant, and thanks again to everyone that works on the site. Best. People. Ever.

It’s better for you if you release them in regular neighbors, not other springfield.
I’d say human Springfield first, other Springfield second, monkey Springfield third (they seem capable of tapping), and cat Springfield last (seen several of them playing with tablets/phones). 😄
I remember last year you did a post of who all could wear a costume by doing a task. Is there an update of that post or is it the same? If it’s the same, can we have a link as I would like to assign costumes to those not doing THOH events before using the unemployment office. Thanks!

No new costumes were added since last Halloween and if you don’t have the Nightmare Pile you can’t use them anyway.
I have read the post and many of the comments so I pray on my donuts that I am not repeating anything but I have counted how many nightmares I should be rewarded with after sending all my kids to make s’mores (I have 22 kids if I remember correctly) but I am only rewarded a fraction of the 64 zombies, rabbits, etc. that I should get…I have scoured my town following the completion of the s’more task and checked it against my campfire upgrade counter (etc) and I am definitely not getting them all…is there a limit? Should I start staggering Their tasks??
The max amount of nightmares in your town is 20, with a bank of 40. So you’ll only get credit for 60 at a time, no matter how many kids you send. That number decreases if you have nightmares in your town already before you clear your fire….

And to keep this long thing shorter, I won’t post all the other character’s Tasks (with induendo) but let you find them for yourself. in the spirit of the new Adult theme, I’ve been sending other characters on tasks that could be misconstrued as dirty and I’ve been giggling and blushing as I figure out what is the best task to send them on. (Warning it’ll take to long if you you try this concept all at once, pace yourself and don’t go nuts)

I was playing last night and my game crashed after i built 2 of the 3 facades. I can’t get in now – it finds my origin id but then it crashes i have raised a case with EA and their tech team is going to fix it but there is no ETA on that (as it is a complex issue and caused by many things) and I tried everything – reinstalling on both my devices – kindle and android phone, clearing cache, stopping other apps. Bendyrulz – any luck with your game?

I’m sure you all already saw it, but Luann’s squirrel costume is part of a character collection. (Halloween Adults Tree house XXVI or something like that.) It also has a skin for Homer and Kirk. Guessing they’ll be available during act 3.

Alas, mine still doesn’t seem to work properly. I sent all the kids to make s’mores, all the adults to make gummies, went to the unemployment office to send everyone on 4 hour tasks, and still had 16 random characters left. I know some of them have SH tasks, but Akira? Matt Groening? Had to send them manually…. Still, 16 is better than 90+…
My unemployment office doesn’t work at all – it never shows the icon that allows me to send people on tasks 🙁
I wonder if it’s related to my accidentally selling it a few weeks ago (playing as I dozed off to sleep, must have somehow clicked ‘sell’!) ?

Luann does the squirrel dance and Carl is outside Moe’s which is mostly blocked by my monorail. The others never show up, no one outside my Krustyburger or my Kwik-E-Mart but judging by the screenshots I’m not missing anything.
It should be Marge at the KEM, and Homer at the KB. But Homer, Marge & Lenny seem more heavily pixelated than Luanne. Maybe its just that she has more distinct movements, but seeing people’s legs might’ve made it all look better…
My bunnies aren’t yellow. They’ve always been purple, on both things that generate them. I’ve never seen a yellow bunny in my town now except for last Easter…
They’re purple. I just have the image of the yellow Bunny at the top of the media folder. Don’t really feel like digging through thousands of images for a purple one. But I think you get the idea that it’s a Bunny
What’s a bunny? Is that the one with the whiskers that goes meow, or the one with the long tail that scurried into little arch-shaped homes in the baseboard?
