Hey there Hoppereenos!
Just got home from work, so sorry for delay in getting the info up for you all. Wanted to bounce by really quick to remind you all that the Event will be ending here shortly.
EVENT ENDS NOVEMBER 17TH, 20115 @ 8GMT (3AM EST)
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
- ALL Crafting Materials earned throughout the Event (Eggs, Ears, Skeleton Rib Cage, Brains) so use them or lose them
- ALL Event Currency will go, so earn all the Candy Apples you can to earn those Personal Prizes as once the Event pull down hits you can’t earn anymore and all the Prizes will be gone.
- ALL Shopkeeper’s Tasks will end. As far as we know these will go with the Event too. We know there is a timer discrepancy, but all signs still say it all goes on the 17th as planned as of this post.
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 17th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 17th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
Tap those final Nightmares, Tap the Formless Creatures dropped off to you and send off the ones you have left to whoever you can, and then relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.
ANOTHER QUESTLINE??!!
For who knows what reason, EA decided to add an extra lil item into our games… another Part to the Questline to defeat the M’nthster.
The Blameless City Pt.5
Bart starts
Bart:
- Hold your ground, Children of Springfield!
- There may come a day when evil squid-gods take control of our town!
- But it is not this day!
- A day when our scantily-clad parents prance about in an unending ballet of embarrassment!
- But it is not this day!
- By all this is normal and fun about Halloween…
- I bid you TAP children of Springfield!!
Defeat the M’nthster and Sink the Sunken Temple (x10)
Completed Task Earns $100 and 100 Candy Apples
For me in my game, all I had to do to complete the task was defeat the M’nthster still on my Campfire, then tap him 10 times at the Sunken Temple. That was it. Nothing more.
There you have it, the Halloween 2015 coming to a close and the M’nthsters leaving our towns in under 5 hrs.
What are you going to do last minute? Any plans for your remaining Craft Items? Going to snag a Premium Item you’ve been debating on? Suggestions for others at the end trying to get last minute Candy Apples? Let us know.
~Bunny

Over the course of the event, I crafted as many Wailing Walls as I could; I ended up with nearly 70, a massive boost to my bonus percentage !!!
Happy, happy, happy!!!
Finaly🎀 the end!!!
When do you think the next event is about to begin? A, approach is good enough 🙂
I want to stop playing the game until the next event because I have pain on both wrists from the tapping. (hèhe painful and funny,)
finaly 🎀 the end!!!
I’m going to try to squeeze out one last wailing wall then I’m done. It’s been a relatively stress-free event but not especially interesting. The wailing walls and getting Kodos are the main plusses for me.
Thanks all, the tap 10 times trick gave me the Re-Neducation Center just in the nick of time. Whew!
I think this was one of the best events so far, and I started playing at Easter 2014. The fact that we could get 20 donuts every week and it was doable for everyone, was great. Also, we had a whole week to do it. I liked that we had two different things for upgrading and crafting, because in the past events it was hard to do both. All the prizes, I liked, and not that hard to get. Plenty of terrors to give to neighbors, where before we had very few. So happy they have the unemployment building working and grateful for the IRS building. Both save a lot of time. All in all, it looked to me like EA was trying to fix the problems that people were complaining about in the past events. Great job EA.
Thank you Bunny for ur patience in answering all our questions and keeping us informed all thru this event, as u do with each and every event. Wouldn’t want to do it without u and Alissa.
Congratulations on ur beautiful baby girl, Alissa. I pray all goes well. Mary Jo
Pretty good event. I am partial to THOH events, though. Turned lemons into lemonade by crafting a whole bunch of balloons and making my own Up-style Spooky House. Wish I can make it look like it’s in the air, though.
hope next event lets me us my elf christmas cannon….that rocks
so done and i spent all my currency on crafted items. the only thing i didn’t get was the last item in act 1 (gateway to nowhere = 110 donuts to buy). to bad i won’t have it for next year’s halloween event, if im still around and they use it again (2 many ifs there). but it’s okay, just one more random stuff i would have to store anyways. …… gawd … it feels good to be done for now. xDDD
For once I think we’re all agreed…….take it away ….
Only thing nobody mentioned is….after it’s gone, take care not to vandalise when visiting neighbours and your landing point in neighbours’ towns will presumably return to the tunnel entrance
🎃👻💀:-)
Wait, does vandalizing stop the Heights from being the landing zone? Because I loathe having the Heights as the landing zone!
As others have said…..after Bart’s dialogue just tap the temple and it looks like nothing is happening but the counter does go down, and it says collect reward
good riddance. 💀 👻 🎃 🎄 🌟 🍩 🙂
Unless they don’t mind being vandalized like me so vandalize away! It’s only a game. And it washes away…
something about purposely vandalizing, when there are so many other open buildings to tap around it, just irritates the crap outta me….
Vandalism just looks untidy, also when I first started playing I found neighbours in the “pledge not to vandalise” thread so I’d rather leave empty handed than tap a spray-can
🎄 ❄ ⛄ 🚼:-)
Ah, so it’s a personal preference more than it was a piece of advice. Understood.
I prefer my neighbors vandalize my town, if possible. I like keeping many of my same-time buildings synched up, which neighbor taps can mess with. Graffiti doesn’t mess with any timer, so I like it. I vandalize as often as possible for this reason. No one has dropped me for it yet, but they’re welcome to if it bothers them.
My M’nthster is still under water for the next 2 hours so I won’t be finishing which is fine because I’ve basically been finished for the past four days when I got my last price.
Should I get rid of non playing neighbors? What are you guys and gals doing now?
I tend to wait until they have been away from the game for two weeks or more.
I remove them and add new people by asking people on here to invite me. Please add Anatomycat, I play everyday…
I think that pruning inactive “friends” is pretty common, for those of us who have reached the neighbors cap. Personally, I don’t usually bother to prune until another event starts up, as that’s when *active* neighbors becomes that much more important.
It’s also worth noting that any of your *real* friends should probably just connect to you via Facebook, as the cap only seems to apply to EA/Origin game accounts. I have 105 neighbors… care to take a wild guess as to how many of those are Facebook friends? 😉
Ends in 20115? This is gonna get boring 😂
now harry the sleep deprived have rights too 🙂
Thanks so much the tapping worked without fighting the tentacle bum and I needed the 100 to put me over to get the last prize……
I crafted all I could this afternoon. Can’t wait to see what they have next!
Treehouse of Horror 2015 Simpsons Tapped Out –
60% fun
40% let down
Cthulhu inspired monster funny / clever
Kids involvement amusing
Lack of adult characters involved (until act 2) not amusing
Difficulties visiting Neighboreenos ruined event (for me)
1/2 stuff earned in each act good
(buildings that give out cash, worthwhile skins)
1/2 of the rest utter waste
(decor, npc, worthless skins)
Conclusion?
Long time tappers not amused
Newbs forced to spend donuts on past freemiums
No way to get Dracula Burns (boo! hiss!)
I’ve no faith in a Thanksgiving / Christmas Event from EA
I lost more Neighboreenos, too 🙁
Please pay attention to Tappers EA
Was it just me? Shopkeeper did not give me any new quest today. I thought it was because the event was ending. Did others get a shopkeeper task today?
I’m pertyy sure the event is done after today, so no more Free donuts.
No, it’s done
No,cig didn’t get it either, even though the timer says 9 days (0r something to that affect), I think it’s done with!
Nope — and didn’t expect to. The Shopkeeper timer had a widely reported bug in it; it actually ended at the same time as the rest of the event.
Thank you Bunny!
Wait, okay, monster’s timer is still counting, monster is at the campfire with all ten tentacles blank, frustrated I clicked the tower ten times and it counted and gave me my money. I think I’m not going to question it, and just be happy that even having a glitch I as able to finish anyways
lol just tried it worked here too, just click tower 10 times and it will finish the quest
My tower had t even appeared so accidentally tapped the beam of light a couple of times and the counter went down 😆 happy days !!
confirmed I just did the same thing… wohoo was expecting to have to wait until the morning as there was no way I was going to be able to finish defeat munster before I went to bed.
Thanks, this really worked
Also, in case anyone missed it, Bart is (mis)quoting Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King near the end during the Battle of the Black Gate.
Shopkeeper challenge done but refuses to give donuts. Programming sucked on act 3.
I don’t understand, Bunny – how did you defeat M’nthster in one go? It’s always taken me two goes (8 hours of fighting) to defeat him.
So, other than more caramel apples, there’s no payoff (like donuts) for doing that final battle? If so, I won’t bother with it in the morning…would rather use my campfire kids at the rail yard.
Never mind… Your post makes it quite clear that there’s no payoff beyond cash and apples. I’m done.
You just have to defeat M’nthster by tapping the sunken temple 10 times, with or without M’nthster on it… quite anticlimactic… I was kinda hoping for it to sink and M’nthster to be defeated forever
I’ve decided that the kids attacking M’nthster have their damage randomized. I have no premium costumes (at least, not ones applicable to this) and I’ve done as little as six and as much as ten damage in one 4 hr attack round, with an average of 7 or 8. (OR it was buggy, which is always a possibility.) At a guess, it seemed like a no-costume attack was probably 1-2 damage. Bart’s (non-premium) costume might have done increased damage (2-3 or 2-4 or 3-4?).
Regardless, the Addicts stated in an earlier posting that if you don’t have premium costumes for the kids, it would probably take more than one attack round to beat him.
Also regardless, as I discovered like many others posting here, this final quest doesn’t need you to attack M’nthster. Just tap ten times on the sunken city. Also also regardless, the payout is mostly only a help if you’re trying to get a candy apple prize at the last minute.
Same. I’m fighting Tentacle-Bum (hey, thanks for that nickname!), tapped on the Temple and the quest cleared with the payout. I hope the Sunken Temple doesn’t sink, I like it.
I wasn’t actively collecting wailing walls but a) I wanted to use all my currency and b) thought they might come in handy should I wish to quickly build my bank. I’ve ended up with 35 of them.
Great, I was clearing the campfire when Bart popped up, now even tho all ten Greenfield are blank monster won’t go away and the counter has less then four hours!
Gah, it’s just “M’nthster,” not “The M’nthster!!”
Does it really M’nthatter? 😉 😛
LOL!!
Yeth!
To quote: “One is my name, the other is not.”
Realistically, if I was calling Alissa “the Alissa,” someone would care enough to point it out to me.
But there in lies a difference… she is a human being and real… this is a game. Games are meant to be silly and fun. There is not an exact what it comes to games. You can use out of the box phrases or words. You can be silly. It is an object in the game. Not something in life. 🙂
So I say again, does it really matter what someone calls an object or creature in an Event in a silly game? Is it the end of the world if slang or other terms are used? Does “the” really matter in a cartoon world? 😉
I get all that, but the principle is still the same. I’m certainly not losing sleep, but I thought it was worth the 5 seconds it took to mention it.
Aw I should have tapped Bart before I tapped m’nther. Now he’s in hibernation for 15 hours.
I had defeated him at the temple before starting that quest. I was able to tap the missing temple 10 times to complete it though. Try tapping your sunken temple just in case.
When the quest popped up for me,M’nthster was hibernating and based on the timers was not going to make another appearance before the event ended. I was directed to tap Star Spawn x 10 instead. There was a glitch though: I had to tap “DO IT” for each one to get them to register.
Will the temple disappear at the end? I don,t want to sink it.
See part of the post where we don’t know what will happen when it ends…as it had not ended yet. 😉
It didn’t sink when I completed the final quest (tapping the temple 10 times), so hopefully it won’t self-destruct when the event eventually ends… Only time will tell
Same here.. 2 different games, had Munster on the campfire but ended it by just tapping the temple multiple times. Quick way if you need a few more last minute apples!
I’ve just started the quests for Squirrel Luann, will they be stopped or can I see them through to the end?
Those side ones usually carry on beyond Events… as long as there is nothing Event linked, like “tap a Nightmare”
When the Blameless Temple part 5 quest hit, the Sunken Temple was doing its bar-of-light thing. So all I needed to do was tap on it to see the countdown and then and tap off it ten times.
So did I, but all it did was make the tone and the quest disappeared from my log. No completin message came up, and when the timer ran out, the temple reappeared and M’nthster plonked his tentacled butt on my campfire like nothing had happened.
That’s strange, because after doing that ten times I the quest completed and I received 100 candy apples and XP, which was great as it gave me the last 20 apples needed for the Re-Neducation Centre.
I guess I’ll see what happens when my temple timer runs out in 30 minutes.
I’ve been winding down the last few days (I’m still playing after all) but grinded-out a few more items to bring my Wailing Wall total to around 30 (increasing my bonus by nearly 80%!) and completely surrounded the Power Plant with biohazard walls. I expect the Xmas event to begin shortly but I’m looking forward to a nice break.
How are your wailing walls giving you a bonus to $ and xp? Mine are on 12 hourly cycles giving me $300 and 30xp each cycle. Bunny, can you shed light on this at all?
Bonus %. See what % your conform is at.
Sorry for the late reply, I completely forgot I posted this. The Wailing Walls gives you not only $300/30XP every 12 hours, but also a 2.25% bonus. It took me a day or two to figure that out, but once I did I spent all of Act 2 focusing on that.
dont know if it will work for anyone else but all I had to do to finish the final quest was tap the temple 10 times. The monster wasn’t there I had him on the campfire.
I can confirm that this worked for me. Tapped the Sunken Temple 10 times and it was done. Usual payout though, but guess it’s useful for people who are close to their candy goal and need a little push.
Yep just ten taps on the temple (even with him sitting on the campfire) done. Quest done, rewarded more C.Apples (which I don’t need) and like everything else in this event the end result goes absolutely no where.
I don’t think Nightmares was the theme, The theme was just like the Gateway (to no-where).
Marges Meowing and cat hints in the begining of the went (thought it was Blue Panther Marge skin, nope) went No-where.
Holiday Homer skin storyline – you guessed it, went No Where.
the O.Pond and the possability of Homerzilla (say it with me) Went No Where.
The Re-Neducation building storyline, etc. etc.
EA, come on, I thought you were cool… I guess you can’t spell LAME without an E or an A.
But I do look forward to Maggie if you want to win me back, and more free donuts, thank you :p
It is a shame, because so many promising storylines were introduced, but all fell pretty flat and seem unfinished. Even the main storyline of nightmares sort of failed in Act 3. The loss of nightmares automatically spawning from the campfire meant that there was no point in upgrading it any further (except for the prizes), though this still remained as a quest, and the general lack of nightmares meant a shortage of formless terrors to send to friends.
Yeah, it does feel like they rushed the event. A lot of prizes given with no explanation or tie-in to the story. Like Apu’s Jeep & Tenta-Corp HQ.
EA’s a real nowhere “man”
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
I was disappointed about the Re-Nedification too. First the tease about kids going through it and then not even tasks for the adults to go through it again. I guess those doors will never open again.
Also, I was really surprised the grown-ups played no real role in Act 3.
Yup, just tried this and the quest cleared from my task bar.
hahah wow that worked for me too! I was worried I wouldn’t have time to get the quest done as I only started fighting him at the campfire with 5.5 hours to go… and it would take at least 8 hours to defeat him.
hmmmm, didn’t work for me.
