Just got home from work, so sorry for delay in getting the info up for you all. Wanted to bounce by really quick to remind you all that the Event will be ending here shortly.
EVENT ENDS NOVEMBER 17TH, 20115 @ 8GMT (3AM EST)
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
- ALL Crafting Materials earned throughout the Event (Eggs, Ears, Skeleton Rib Cage, Brains) so use them or lose them
- ALL Event Currency will go, so earn all the Candy Apples you can to earn those Personal Prizes as once the Event pull down hits you can’t earn anymore and all the Prizes will be gone.
- ALL Shopkeeper’s Tasks will end. As far as we know these will go with the Event too. We know there is a timer discrepancy, but all signs still say it all goes on the 17th as planned as of this post.
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 17th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 17th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
Tap those final Nightmares, Tap the Formless Creatures dropped off to you and send off the ones you have left to whoever you can, and then relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

Defeat the M’nthster and Sink the Sunken Temple (x10)
Completed Task Earns $100 and 100 Candy Apples
For me in my game, all I had to do to complete the task was defeat the M’nthster still on my Campfire, then tap him 10 times at the Sunken Temple. That was it. Nothing more.
There you have it, the Halloween 2015 coming to a close and the M’nthsters leaving our towns in under 5 hrs.

Great, monster acts like it’s act 1 ask over again, trying to trick stars into coming back, hopefully I can get them because right now getting any more resources is frustrating. I wish stars went back to spawning all the time because I hate having to send any children after monster, it’s forcing us to collect apples long after they are useful
Maybe it was a glitch for me, but the M’nthster was on the campfire when The Blameless City Pt.5 hit in my game and all I had to do was tap the Sunken Temple 10 times. The M’nthster wasn’t even at the Sunken Temple. The task cleared and I got the rewards! 🙂 Hope it works for everyone.

I have been hording my snake eggs, rabit ears, zombie brains, and skeleton bones in hopes that there would be a great and glorious something to build. Now i just started crafting and what a pain in the arse this is. So many taps per each crafting. I have 10,000 of each and this is gonna take for ever! Is there a quicker way to craft more than one at a time or to keep the crafting window open?

Hello, I have what might be a dumb question however I need to know. Does the 1000 limit of inventory count the total number of items or just the total type of items? I’m wondering because I bought like 50 dead trees and a bunch of spooky trees that I can’t sell and I think I may be close to my inventory limit. I’ve followed you’re advise of storing or selling back the stuff I don’t need, to change my Springfield up, but I’m running out of sellable stuff that I want to sell. Thanks.

I’m also desperately waiting for the update. Don’t want to log in and get 250 useless candy apples if I could get a (hopefully) useful mystery box instead.
That event was very strange in my opinion, my bonus cash+XP went up from 10% to over 200% without paying a single donut. I earn 4 times as much as I earned before the event started, still can’t believe that was on purpose.

the counter is gone and I only shows how many donuts I need to buy the Re-Neducation Center. Can I still earn candy apples to get the final prize? I think I only need a hundred.

I missed the last prize, the re-neducation center. I could get it for 95 donuts. What do think? Is it worth it? Thanks in advance for any input.
Not worth 90 donuts, IMO. It’s huge and ugly, as soon as I finished the little questline I stored it.
I missed it too by about 500 apples in one of my games but easily got it in my other one. I can purchase it for 25 donuts but I think even that is too many after seeing the short questline that goes with it from my other game. My opinion is to save those donuts for Christmas when the good stuff comes out. They usually do some discount deals around then also.
I agree, looks nice in the prizes but when you get it, it is large and pretty ugly. Look forward to Christmas event, would surprised if there were not some nes stuff to spend hard earned doughnuts. Really looking forward to the Christmas event, definatly my favourite, already cleared an area in anticipation. 😆😆😆
No – it’s huge, and after the questline it does nothing. Mine’s probably going into storage, unless we get more land for Springfield Heights, which is the only place it might seem in scale with.
Part 5 appeared for me last night, but all I had to do was go to the M’nthster icon on the side and hit “Do It” and each time I did that, it counted so I was able to complete the task without waiting for the M’nthster to go back to the campfire, get defeated and then go to the Sunken Temple to get defeated for it to complete the task.
Hi addicts! Just wanted to let you know about an odd glitch I am having this morning. (iPhone). None of the little completion icons are showing up on my people/buildings. BUT if I click the people/buildings I still collect my money & xp. The money & XP symbols also do not appear, just the little writing saying how much I got.
Finished M’nthster, but he’s still sitting over the campfire. Sent kids for one more round of fighting, they finished, no change. Tapped the temple ten times and completed the quest this way, still no change, M’nthster sitting over the campfire… Hope the update, when it arrives, will remove him 🙂
this is my situation too. I came here to see if anyone else is in the same boat. My town is producing star spawns like crazy!
Same here. I’m just mad because now I’m not getting any Star Spawns, and I’m just short of another Wailing Wall. He’s set to regain control in a little bit, so hopefully that will shake something loose!
I’m done. So very done. 38 Wailing Walls, probably 80 Biohazard walls, a ton of trees and balloons and spooky walls. I even crafted extra Spooky Houses just for kicks. I needed it to be over when I logged in this morning (5 central time) but it was not. Granted, I did not care to defeat him one last time. I spent most of Sunday crafting, and that is enough of the one-at-a-time jazz for me!
I hope to get home this evening to a regular game, and visit neighbors again without the lag!!! and maybe a slight break so I can organize all the stuff I’ve acquired!

So it’s 830am est where I am, but no update and all the event stuff is still here… When will it go away? I despised this event for so many reasons, even though I only missed the last prize in act 1. I just want it all to go away!! Has anyone else not been able to update?

I don’t mind that the Halloween event took so long. I play 2 tapping games. TSTO is the best for events because they do give you so much time, that it’s actually possible to earn all the rewards in the game. And the donuts! They gave away so many donuts, I was ecstatic! I have 190 donuts now, and I was debating if I should get Luann or wait and see what the Christmas event brings. If you want to get frustrated, then play the other tapping game. I have found that during events I always end up being 1-2 weeks behind, I never earn all the prizes, and it stresses me out so much I might actually stop playing the game all together. Just think, TSTO team makes it so long so everyone has a chance to earn all the prizes. Yeah, it does get boring after week one of a phase, but that is why I like the daily challenges TSTO does. It isn’t impossible, and breaks up the boredom of waiting for the next phase a bit. So no, I am not going to say anything bad about this event!
What happened with the monster coming out of the lake? I thought it would follow the show and get the monster to rise since Homer ate all the donuts.
Great event overall. Still trying to harvest brains as best I can, the wailing walls really helped my percentage boost I lost track but I think it was over 70%.
I would imagine the renedifactaion building will come into play in the future… as may the other.
If you go to the shop keepers page, it says the event isn’t ending for another 10 days..? At least on mine it does.

I did quite enjoy this event. I re-joined tapped out halfway through act 2.
Only just scraped through with enough candy apples for the Ned-ucation building!
2 1/2 hrs post scheduled event end – nothing in the app store
Uh, something went wrong in my game, I think. I didn’t “get” that I had to tap the temple 10 times and thougth I had to defeat M’nsther 10 times. So I attacked him with the kids, then even spent donuts to speed that up, and now they’re still fighting him, but his “health” is zero and he didn’t return to the temple. In the meantime, I tapped the temple a few times, noticed that the quest counter increased, tapped some more and now the quest is gone, the kids are fightning M’nsther and nothing’s happening…
You can still spend the resources to craft items, it just says “Event is ending” now.
A big let down in act 3, how many times did we have to defeat the boss?!? Crafting items on the whole, useless. I would rather save lots for a desirable character/building. What was the point of the biohazard stuff? Least enjoyable & buggy of all the events. Too much space taken up with pointless & unusable buildings/decorations.
Looking forward to the festive event.
It was a good event, but like all of these specials, they do tend to go on for far too long, and they aren’t spaced out infrequently. I expect we’ll be seeing the start of the Christmas even in a few weeks too, which is a bit to close to this one and not really enough time to get things back to normal.
Bad news I still have over 200 of those purple blobs that I can’t drop in neighbor towns the good news is I was able to get all the prizes and craft items with more spooky and wailing walls than I know what to do with (pushing my bonus to over 120%). I also have 300 donuts just waiting for Black Friday so overall even though this event was exhausting at best it was worth it.
i have a bunch too – but, i’m not gonna stress out my neighbors with ’em. Seems like they’re thinking the same way. I only get them when i drop them off at someone else’s town.
I did consider dropping them off at other springfield tho. lol.
Most of my neighbors saw the `pointless` to them after act 3 started. They became more of an irritation then a help. There was an unspoken collective feeling of why bother…
