AS IF!! Here we go! 😉

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 12/9/15, DAY 2 OF ACT 1

As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Event. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.

Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” to be behind, but as you progress you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. So just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.

Act One Calendar Xmas 2015

Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 10 days based off of approximately 2885 festivehatsFestive Hats a day.

  1. Did anyone else loose the toy workshop? Mine seems to have disappeared

  2. I have all the new characters so far (patches and poor violet, winter witch mr burns, dancing reindeer) can’t wait for act 2! *****

  3. I haven’t even got the prize before violet have a feeling I won’t be able complete this task!!

  4. I’m so behind, I don’t know how everyone has so many Santa hats already! I’m barely over 13000. None of my neighbors drop presents in my town and I think I need to make my way over to the add a friend post because of it. But seriously, how does everyone get so many darn hats!?

    • At 13000, you are a little behind and it will be close to the finish. Basically the bonuses for upgrading the snowman and the gingerbread house are so backend heavy, it’s imperative you finish those quests. You’ll get over 6000 hats for that alone.

I wouldn’t say Patches and Poor Violet are out of question, but you will have to start sending characters on the upgrade Snowman and upgrade Gingerbread House one after another with minimal delay. Any major delays and it will not be possible. If you can get both Snowman and then Gingerbread House to level 5 by the end of the Act, you should have Patches and Poor Violet. Just keep tapping, try your best, and most importantly have fun.

  5. Good news and bad news.

Good news is that at over 21k Santa Hats, I’m over a day ahead of pace right now for unlocking Patches and Poor Violet.

Bad news is that I’m still on Gingerbread Mansion level 1, so I may need to pick up the pace and stop maximizing hats in order to finish the questline in time for Act 2. I have 4 upgrades left and 4 days to complete them.

Also, some bonus good news, I’ve started to replenish the donuts I spent buying premium characters over Black Friday sales. 20 from the daily challenges last week, 5 from monorail, 3 from filling my XP bar, about 4-5 from neighbour visits, and just 20min ago I got 5 from Sideshow You in Krustyland! Woohoo! I’ll be ready to spend donuts on premium characters next Black Friday!

  6. How do you get the Gingerbread House? I’m really back logged and extremely clueless as to what’s going on

  7. oh gawd. i just sent out 5 presents (about 8hrs ago), then the DC pop-ups needing those 5 presents.. *derp*

does anyone know if your presents will accumulate if you don’t use them up daily (or will you lose them instead)?

  8. To the ones worried about neighbours actions, the first bunch of them pay off 3 hats instead of just one. At least that’s what I experienced in my game – I didn’t count exactly how many actions wielded that number before cutting back to only one hat, but I think I visited maybe about 5 neighbours before that happened. So, yes we have less than the usual 90 actions, but the first ones give you more event currency.

    • Most people are reporting 150 Santa Hats and 50 Baubles per day from neighbour actions. Your first 50 taps yield 3 Santa Hats and 1 Bauble each. After that, your next up to 250 taps (depending on how many neighbours you have) is just money and as always the chance at random donuts.

      • My apologies, just went tapping for my daily neighbour visits. Noticed I had a typo in my response. You only receive 3 Santa Hats for merrymen you tap in your own Springfield. Whilst visiting neighbours, the yield is only 1 Santa Hat per tap.

So each day you are capped at 50 Santa Hats and 50 Baubles from your first 50 taps whilst visiting neighbours. All remaining 250 or fewer taps only yield money, XP, and if applicable FP.

  9. OK I can’t seem to get the “presents” to drop in my my neighbors town! Am I missing something?

  10. Will there be a rundown on the christmas monuments like best snowman ever or gingerbread house?

  11. I’m way ahead I’m already working on Patches/Poor Violet without cheating

  12. I posted a question here. But can’t seem to find it anywhere. Does it have to be allowed first or?

  13. Im so glad you make these calendars. Unfortunatly i now know i wont get the top prizes, but i have a rough idea of where i can get to. My game would not connect to the EA Servers properly so i finally got the update this afternoon, nearly 4 days late. I do love now that the snowmonster has tasks tho.

    • It really is too soon to know for sure…as the post states, income tends to increase as the act goes on. So many times people assume that they won’t make it to the final prize, only to find that they did (and sometimes even with time to spare!). So, while it is possible that you’re right, I wouldn’t make that assumption this early in….

      • Thanks for you kind comment. I have decided to not worry about it, and like you just said i may surprise myself. Lol

  14. dang so many comments, and i just realized that with all the comment confusion the last couple days, i hadn’t even subscribed to this thread….. so uhh, that’s what i’m doing now. 🙂

  15. Me too. Unless my timing count is off. I was around 60 and dropped last gift of five and then no hats. Wonder if dropping last gift had something to do with it. Pretty sure my timing was right as I started off with 5 presents (overnight absence from game).

    • I deliberately left a gap in time to make sure it wasn’t that I was tapping neighbours across two days but one 24-hr time period for the game. I didn’t drop any presents until I’d stopped getting hats from neighbour taps. It stopped very early – after 17 friends, so that’s roughly 50?

      • Me too. Apx 50. What’s up?

        • 50 seems to be the number for this event (or at least for this act). The post was just wrong – I think it just relied on what’s been the case for almost every event for a while. EA just seems to have switched it up this time.

  16. Hmm… With bonuts in our future, maybe it’s best to speed to the end of each Act’s final prize. Ea, never lets me relax!

    • But if you speed up, while you’ll have more days to do neighbour visits and tap merrymen in your town, you’ll be further along in the questline and receive fewer Santa hats as bonus that will count towards the bonuts.

I’d personally rather unlock Patches and Poor Violet with 3 or 2 days left and still be working on my gingerbread house, collecting bonus hats from the questline, and be left with only a day or two of tapping on merrymen and neighbour visits; as opposed to having sped through and complete the questline and unlocking Patches and Poor Violet with 5 or 4 days left and only getting the hats from merrymen and neighbours visits.

I guess this Act 1 will be the trial act as to which method works better. Most people, my sister included, are just rushing straight through it. I’m doing everything in double time (still ahead of the calendar though). We’ll see which method ends up with more Santa hats at the end of the act, and if I need to change methods I will do so for Act 2. Especially important to find out as Act 1 only has two attractions in the Snowman and Gingerbread House, whereas Act 2 has at least four attractions at play.

      • I look forward to hearing the results. I’m probably going to go with a mix, two rounds when I’m ready for sleep.

      • You are just plain trouble! I would read this with one level left before completing the gingerbread mansion. Now Im thinking…..will I get ~enough hats? I know the answer is yes, but geez…do you gotta scare a girl to death?

You better drop me some nice presents to make up for it! 😉

  17. I started this quite late as didn’t realise there was an update… only coming close to earning the orphanage at the moment… Do you think I’ll have time to finish this event??

  18. Hey there. Thanks for all the hard work! Just a question: can you post the characters that give hats for tasks? Besides white Burns, I don’t know of any. Thanks!

  19. I am not sure if this is glich or whatever. But when i click on Krusty, his first job is to ‘Buy festive kippah’ that lasts 4h. Usually that means it has to be done to finish some tasks. But that one is written in white not in yellow as usuall. And i don’t have any tasks that say that Krusty has to do that. Can someone explain? Thanks. Hope i was understandable 🙂

    • It’s just an extra task that some characters get during special events. A lot of characters had a task that lets them stay at the Bad Dream House over Halloween, but it didn’t do anything.

Or it could tie in with Act 2 in some way. Who knows? Either way, it’s not something to worry about yet. Use Krusty for Snowman/Gingerbread/Metal all you please. =)

  20. I got cut off well before 90 tasks today. Not sure exactly where, but when I should ha e been about 55 I noticed no hat, no ornament. And yes, I was at the beginning of my 24 hour period. ???

  21. Well, I’m glad to be a little ahead of schedule. Just unlocked the reindeer, who immediately found someone to dance with…

    http://i.imgur.com/nuxy0aJ.png?1

    …so I thought that was nice 🙂

  22. Is anyone else suddenly having zoom issues? The zoom out range of my town is suddenly MUCH more limited, forcing me up close and personal and making it much harder to scan my town for merrymakers.

This seems to have coincided with an Android OS update.

    • I have this problem as well. I found that restarting my device (galaxy tab s2) while the game is still open, then restarting TSTO, allows me to zoom out much further. It’s a bizarre glitch to say the least…

  23. Looks very hard to get enough hats. Very hard. I’ve been doing the hat-generating activities preferentially, playing several times a day, have over 30 friends, and I’m a full day behind.

  24. Oh never mind….I’m sorry, I read that incorrectly. 😳

  25. I’m at 8283 Festive Hats and haven’t seen the bonut pop up 🙁 I’m still at the same amount of donuts I had when the Gil sale was over. Anyone else having this issue?

  26. Umm, did I miss a post on this, but when did Santa’s little helper gain tasks? Just noticed he has tasks now… 🙂

  27. Today only get 4800 hats only but ur calendar shows required 8655. Almost double 😭😭😭😭
    Please help

    • Don’t worry. Just keep tapping and working on the main questline. As you finish and upgrade the snowman, you get a bigger and bigger bonus each time, thousands of hats just in bonus alone. You’ll catch up in no time. Just don’t get discouraged and keep on tappin’.

  28. Ok so how do yoou get the ginger bread house? I cant find it.

  29. I’ve actually managed to get Bunny’s “secret” (?) Donuts trick to work a few times. As far as I know, it works with Bonuts too. Maybe she can post a link to her original post, but basically you wait till the lights are blinking (every-other light on) press & hold on the far-right box ’til the sequence comes back to that again and then release. The far right box will have 3 donuts. It took some practice, but I think I’ve got it down now…

  30. Thanks Bunny for another awesome calendar. I’m a bit concerned about this one, because I’m currently a long way behind – as are 17 out of my 20 friends (keeping it exclusive…) but hopefully a weekend spent tapping will speed things up. My maths is telling me that close to 3000 hats per day is going to be really tough – but maths was never my strong point so if anyone can help, that would be great.

    • Quite a few of the achievements reward many hats (I’d have to check the other post, but I believe I was awarded 1000+ for completing Snowman level 2). So just keep tapping away and I’m sure you’ll catch up sooner than you think.

    • Part of the reason you may be behind is that you’re keeping it too “exclusive.” You need at least 30 neighbors to get all of the event currency you can get from neighbor visits.

In case you’re not aware, you can add neighbors who are strangers without using Facebook….they’ll never know who you are, what your email address is, or anything else identifiable about you, other than what you do in the game. So, there’s really no good reason to keep it “exclusive,” especially not to the extent that it hurts your gameplay to do so.

      • My Christmas Neighbour rewards cut out at 15 neighbours, so I’m only getting benefits from 45 merrymakers in other towns. I guess I would have to spend 90 donuts to get 90. Seems like a very low ceiling to me.

        • I’m in a similar situation, only get hats from 15-20 visits per day (was 20 initially, only 15 neighbours last night). But as I said, quite feasible to achieve everything as the questline itself awards thousands of bonus hats for upgrading the snowman and than gingerbread house.

    • Thanks for the reassurances. It definitely doesn’t look impossible but does look like it requires commitment.
To clarify, I meant the comment about being exclusive as a joke as there are other reasons but guess I was foiled again! All of my friends but one are strangers to me in real life that I picked up from the Add Me threads. 20-something (it fluctuates) is about as many as I can manage – but I suppose 30 isn’t too far from 20-something when there’s currency at stake 🙂
