Welcome to the wee early morning hours…at least here on the East Coast. It’s just after 3am and the Casino Event Act 2 is now live! (hey if this were Vegas you’d be up all night too…)
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Things should auto-start for you with a task for Mr. Burns. (if you don’t see it start up it’s most likely because you haven’t placed the Dice Den. You’ll need to place the Dice Den to start Act 2, which also means you’ll need to finish The Old Man and the ‘Sino questline)
Just what does Act 2 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Act 2..
Green Chips! (Original right? 😉 )
So the ability to earn Red Chips is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to 0..because you have 0 Green Chips. So forget about the red ones and now it’s time to start over with green.
You’ll earn Green Chips the same way you earned Red Chips in Act 1…
-Tapping Gamblers, each tap yields 10 
(remember Gamblers spawn every 5 minutes, with a max of 60 allowed at once)
-Playing games at Moe’s and Cletus’ (yes, they both still require the gold tokens, just like they did for Act 1.)
-Visiting neighbors and tapping Gamblers in their towns. Each tap yields 10..remember only 90 actions/day.
-Courtesy chips 
. Each time you lose at Moe’s or Cletus’ you’ll earn a courtesy chip. You can cash 10 of those in for 100 . (via crafting menu)
-Sending characters to the Casino. That will yield for each task there. (more on this for Act 2 below..)
-And via the Players Club. Certain levels will earn you more .
Gold Tokens
Yup, they’re still around…and still the currency you’ll need to play games at Moe’s and Cletus’.
Act 2 Personal Prizes
Before we go into the prizes…first remember you’ll get two different counters for your chip counts. Please read this post if you’re confused.
Newark Newark Sign- 6,800
Lucky Casino- 18.150 (or +11,350 from prize 1)
Casino Nessie- 32,950 (or +14,800 from prize 2)
Woodstock Casino- 48,850 (or +15,900 from prize 3)
Cregg Demon- 71,600 (or +22,750 from prize 4)
Act 1 Prizes…
F you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT ONE PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at. (just like every other event)
Crafting..
Same crafting rules apply…check out the crafting post if you’re confused.
One exception…you can now upgrade levels with martini glasses as well as key chains and coasters. 25 martinis=1 upgrade block.
And I can confirm martinis are falling from gamblers….in addition to coasters and key chains.

I just noticed the Daily Challenge has changed! It no longer shows donuts, just mostly cash. Bummer 🙁
It’s random- just switch your challenge if you don’t want cash, I get donuts almost everyday.
The last two times I switched, the reward changed to Springfield Heights materials. *sigh*
That is the worst when that happens isn’t it..so deflating. I hope you get a nice run of nothing but pink icing.

I tried that the second time (i think) and I think it didn’t work…I had done that before, though, so they may have changed something.
No, when you open the Daily Challenge menu, the image in the “screen” no longer shows donuts falling, just a lot of cash. Check it out. I will try to take a screen shot later.
I got a task for bonuts (as a Welshwoman, it feels weird spelling it that way) today.
Because of hoarding, my friend visit trick and some good slotting I am on prize 5, done burns prizes, got the moose, got the girl sign 6/10 to level 3 & a partridge in a pear tree.
This really is an easy event compared to some others…
Fun too. Those mini events were more a hassle then this has been.

Probably. A mini event like V-day. I also think this kind of event means we could see a level drop in the middle of it as well…

this strange concept that used to exist. At least I think it did. Maybe it was just a dream…
Like in the old time Figure Skating competitions. The highest you could get was a 5.9. You could never get a 6.0. So EA has copied that method. You can get 59 but never read 60.
Less than 1000 away from the Lucky Casino! Saving over 100 tokens gave me a great head start. I’m not sure if EA thought this through lol. I used almost all of them on the slots though. I used about 5 on dice and got a courtesy chip every single time so I went back to slots.
Also 8 spaces away from level 3 crafting. I crafted the Cowgirl Sign, it’s right beside Burns Casino if anyone wants to see it, it’s a bit smaller than I thought but still a nice deco.
Me and my dad are going to see The Revenant today. I’ve been getting to see all my friends and fam and eating lots of good food. I bought some donuts for myself too, I’m over 500 for the first time ever 😀 Nothing I really want right now though. Does anyone know if Nessie is a playable character or just an NPC?
And did anyone notice the Sleep Eazy in last nights episode? Hehe.

Already unlocked prize two thanks to holding over 100 gold coins ready for the start of Act 2. And that was on top of five rounds of three bonuts. A bit of tactical play from me as I anticipate not being able to play near the end of the Act so would like to have it wrapped up with time to spare.
Because of problems over the weekend (unable to connect etc on sat and then some random rollbacks yesterday that lost me several hours’ progress on chips), I missed Lucius . He’s priced up at 95 donuts for me and I’m wondering if he’s worth paying for? 🙂

I hate to admit this because I don’t particularly like the show but it is “Friends”. I was seeing someone in the late 90s who loved it (that should have been a sign…) so I sat through multiple viewings of most episodes. I don’t remember the title, but wasn’t there a monkey involved?

Phoebe sees a movie with Joey, Monica and Chandler that includes male nudity and it isn’t received well by the guys. Later in the episode after Marcel gets away and Phoebe and Rachel go door knocking in their apartment, it leads to animal control coming to that apartment to collect Marcel (it’s illegal to have him). Phoebe thoroughly disagrees with the idea. Down in the basement when the animal control lady is about to tranquilize Marcel, phoebe takes the dart to her butt causing her to act delirious. It ends with her butt cheek waking up.

For the first time ever in my TSTO life, I finish the 1st prize within hours of starting it. Must say that it’s mainly thanks to the daily challenge which rewarded me 20 gold tokens today, and I spent it all on the slot machine.
Gamblers will drop Martinis even if you’re level 1. the dropping rate is just low
I encountered an issue. I was being a strategic player and when I unlocked Lucius I saw that if I waited til the next act to place him I would start out act two by getting 1350 chips from the burns reward points. So this morning I placed him and nothing happened with my points. I’m hoping you guys can tell me where I go to get this resolved. Obviously I know you guys can’t resolve it but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Based on a comment in the Lucius Sweet thread, I tried opening the store and going to the character collections screen. Opening the casino character collection triggered Lucius to drop his 595 club cards. I was even on chat with EA and they were about to have me do general troubleshooting. 😛 Glad I saw that suggestion and wanted to pass it along!
Thank you for that! When I contacted EA about this, they said there was nothing they could do, so I’d written off the chance of seeing the points…
Scored the Newark Newark Sign in like the first 5 minutes of the Act, Had 51 coins to run those reels with and a tasty 1250chips come in from the Players club. Great start to act 2!
Because of the tokens I saved up at the end of Act 1, I already have the 2nd prize and was able to craft the cowgirls sign. Also green is my favorite color, so I’m liking the switch in the chips 🙂

Really excited for Act 2! I’ve saved up 150 gold tokens to spend on the games this time, as I knew I was never going to finish Act 1. This act only requires 71,640 tokens so I’m sure I will definitely finish this act! 😀

Still terrified, but distracted. I’m gonna cruise around a bit, but in case I don’t find the answer, is there a limit to the amount of chips I can harvest through friends towns? I get thru like 30 towns and when I tap gamblers in the next town all it will give me is XP and money.

Well, my coin hoarding paid off. When Act II started for me about 5hrs ago, I had 311 coins saved up. It took several hours in Gaming Moe’s (which I prefer over the Dice game) to use them all, but I got 40,840 green chips already, and enough crafting material to get from L2.1 to L3 and craft my first item, the Dupes sign. I’ve already got the Newark Sign and Nessie, and my Lucky Casino has only a few hours left on it’s build. Woot!
I figure I’ll be done with the Act II progression prizes in only a few days, and will start hoarding coins for Act III. Muahahaha! lol
Just don’t complain in a few days when you’re bored because there’s nothing left to do… 😉

Nah, I’ll happily spend the remaining time of Act II hording coins for Act III, and tapping gamblers, sending toons to the casino, and visiting friends to get bonuts.
Really resisting the urge to use my martinis on upgrading crafting as they’re needed for most thing. In saying the the collection rate isn’t so bad on them as I’ve accumulated since Act 2 begun.My thought process is why upgrade to have the ability to upgrade when I have nothing to upgrade with, especially when I’ll be crafting the more costly of things first…. Only 5 more tiers to go.
Chip wise- I’m doing alright so far, I assume as there is no calendar yet… 😉 😉 I’ve unlocked the first two prizes the first (Newark sign has dialogue and Lucky casino takes 8 hours to build) and now with a total of 24120 chips.
I’ll be going through tokens like crazy…just as soon as I wake up. 😴

Is anyone else having a glitch in the crafting area? If I look at my level 2 items (I unlocked the level this morning), it closes my game down when I look at items I don’t have enough materials to craft.
I had the same problem. Uninstall and reinstalled worked for me.
Ok – so I can start using my tokens again for slots and dice? Thought that maybe Homer’s card house would pop up, so I was holding onto some of the tokens as a “just in case”…didn’t want them telling me to play 5 hands or something as a task and have to wait a while to do it.
Card house won’t appear until just before Act 3…so use em up

I didn’t quite manage to get the final character prize in act 1 and it would use up all the free clams I have left to get him. Do you think it’s worth it? It doesn’t sound like he helps out with act 2 at all

I was able to earn the first prize right off the bat because of saved up tokens, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t get any black card rewards for placing it. Just saying…..
I calculate my calendar with a bit more space than Bunny usually does, and it says 20k chips per day, starting tomorrow. You will get the last prize on March 16, with 180k chips owned (178.350 needed).

Great post 😀 – I started keeping my casino chips from Act 1 when I won the last of the prize and it’s such an advantage, I’ve already gotten prize 1 and halfway to the second one in Act 2.
